I'm using a cool app called Pregnancy+, way better than anything I had with my other kids a few years ago. You can see an image of the embryo at each stage, with info about what's happening. It's fascinating. Free to download too!

ParisInTheSpringtime · 01/03/2020 20:38

Thanks @Whoamieven it was 29 Jan. I think that’s 4 weeks (so get to the 12 week point on 1 May I guess).

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 20:39

@ParisInTheSpringtime yep so due date is 4th November and you are 4weeks 4 days pregnant according to how doctor/midwife will date it :)

ParisInTheSpringtime · 01/03/2020 20:48

Thanks Smile every day is a school day 😂

You may have guessed that this will be my first...

Hi I got my BFP yesterday. I've not really got a clue when I'm due though. I came off the mini pill on 16th January and didn't even have a period. Digital test said 2-3 weeks so I think I'd be due around 20th November. I've booked a private scan for 6th April when I should be 7 weeks. This is my 2nd baby (my little boy was 2 on friday) and I'm 37 I'll be 38 when this one is born. All the anxiety I had the first time is back already . So far I've just got mild cramps and nausea.

Fia89 · 01/03/2020 21:19

Hi everyone!

Got my BFP on Sunday. I'm due 31/10 or 01/11 depending what calculator I use. First pregnancy, been trying since Feb 2018 and were sure to see IVF clinician on 09/03/20. So far symptoms are extreme tiredness (how do people cope with second/third babies!) sore boobs, mild cramps, vivid dreams and back ache. Also increased sex drive.

I have to say though I'm panicking. My anxiety is so high with the worry that something will go wrong. I'm scared to register my pregnancy because once I do I have to wait another 2 years to apply for IVF again!

Anyone else struggling to put anxieties to the back of their mind?

xiety

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 22:04

@LynseyLou1982 hey congrats!
If digital says 2-3 then you are actually 4-5, so would more likely have a early November due date I think.

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 22:10

Anyone not very symptomatic? I'm 4+2, nipples sore ish, had a few cramps last week but now gone. Apart from that I have no symptoms. I miscarried 4 weeks ago, and had no symptoms Then either so am worrying really. Ergh hate this bit

Chickoletta · 01/03/2020 22:39

Hi everyone,
Pleased to have found you all. I'm due around 5th Nov and this will be our 3rd baby. Thought we were finished, DS is 9 and DD is 6, but both changed our minds. I've been lucky and had 2 very straightforward pregnancies before but I'm 40 now so much more anxious this time around. Interested to read about the Harmony and Iona blood tests. I will definitely discuss this with the midwife when I see her on 30th March.

My main symptoms have been nausea which comes in waves but is quite mild, massive boobs and tiredness. I've also had quite bad wind!! I'm pleased to read about other people having cramps as I've had lots and don't remember them from my other pregnancies. They are low and very central - seems to be normal. Hopefully it's just Baby implanting and everything getting ready.

MamaNaz20 · 01/03/2020 23:52

Hello all; haven't had a chance to read all messages yet - congratulations to you all

I am due 30th Oct so have been in Eatly October thread , but glad this thread started too cause I still don't have as many signs as most in October thread

@burntpinky I am 42, this is my second, my DS is 5- I didn't do a harmony test for him but am keen to do one for this one; if you were happy with the services you got from your clinic for your last pregnancy would you mind telling me which clinic it was ? Assuming it is anywhere near London or Surrey. Also I have only heard the brand Harmony?

I have bad cramps since yesterday - driving me mad- thinking of booking a private scan soon ...

ohiwishyouwerehere · 02/03/2020 03:37

@whoamieven I have very few symptoms- my boobs were painful a few weeks ago but not now, very mild nausea on waking but then it goes when I eat that's about it?!

I am waking in the night covered in sweat - is that normal? This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what to expect!

Can anyone recommend any good books/apps/sites for first time people with no clue?

I live away from home with no family and no real friends so it's just me and my husband who is clueless. I have no idea what I'm doing!

Ann87 · 02/03/2020 07:06

Hi my last period was 28th January got a bfp 29 February, im 33 symptoms include wind (tmi ) sore boobs and sudden tirdness, I have a 6 year old never had any symptoms with her. Going to phone the doctors today for a appointment not sure what they do this early because my dd was ivf x

SqidgeBum · 02/03/2020 07:21

@ohiwishyouwerehere you are me on my first pregnancy! No family around, pretty freaked out. I used the baby centre app a lot. It gives you a week by week breakdown and reminders to start thinking of cots and buggies etc when the time comes. I also bought 'what to expect when you are expecting' which is like a pregnancy bible, but can be very overwhelming. I distinctly remember crying at the diet section, as I couldn't understand how I was meant to eat so much healthy stuff when I had morning sickness lol. Maybe just look at their website, unless you feel like you want a 1300 page pregnancy manual. Honestly though, most people feel very lost and freaked out on their first. There is a lot of time between now and november to figure things out, but even then, every new mother is clueless really. It will all come together and work out.

Anon87 · 02/03/2020 07:22

@ohwishyouwerehere Congrats! I'm having all them symptoms if that helps. Genuinely terrified about the wind part, i never trump Infront of DP and I just know I'm not going to be able to hide it forever when I'm waddling around 😆

@Ann87 Congrats to you too! I'll be ringing the docs today too. 13 years ago since I had DD god knows what's what now 😁

carrot88 · 02/03/2020 07:40

Is clumsiness a pregnancy symptom??!!! I'm constantly knocking into things and last night I managed to knock a full pint of water over down behind the bedside table over electrical stuff - there was hissing and buzzing - DH ended up have to knock the circuit off in the middle of the night! I'm assuming it's just due to the extreme tiredness!!

Congrats everyone on your BFP's! I'm going to be 40 too by the time the baby arrives - so glad there's a few of us on here! And I too am clueless about the next 9 months (well 8 now!!) and after.....

burntpinky · 02/03/2020 07:43

@MamaNaz20 have PM’d you x

burntpinky · 02/03/2020 07:45

Ps - don’t worry re age, I was a week off 40 when DC was born and VERY clueless but you just learn “on the job” and if you have an NCT group or friends with babies set up a what’s app group as it’s really helpful for all those questions/support

burntpinky · 02/03/2020 07:46

@carrot88 - that message was meant for you as previous message didn’t post (the not worrying re age one) and yes re clumsiness as I knocked a cup of coffee all over worktop this morning!

carrot88 · 02/03/2020 07:50

@burntpinky - oh good - I'm sure we'll figure it out!! I will look up NCT classes though - think they'd help my DH too!!

ohiwishyouwerehere · 02/03/2020 08:42

@squidgebum @Anon87

Thank you! That's good to know, I'm sure I'll find my way. It just feels like nothing is actually happening (I'm terribly impatient!)

Don't worry about the wind, if you're that nervous I'm sure he'll just pretend to have not heard 😂

I'll get a look at that book thank you!

MamaNaz20 · 02/03/2020 08:46

Thanks @burntpinky and hello @carrot88 ...
I keep thinking 40 is the new 20 to keep me calm; I have been worried about the age aspect for a while and so was DH....

burntpinky · 02/03/2020 08:50

@MamaNaz20 honestly you’ll be fine. I’ll be 42 when this one is born! Yes I’m permanently knackered but that is just parenthood - the fun bits massively outweigh the downsides

Ann87 · 02/03/2020 08:53

Just phoned the doctors they dont see u anymore just gave me midwifes phone number to make appointment x

60sPony · 02/03/2020 08:54

Hello everyone 👋
I tested positive yesterday morning and have predicted due date of 5 Nov. First month of trying for number two... my son is 2.5.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 02/03/2020 09:18

It seems like there are a few of us in the late 30s/early 40s bracket for November Grin

No symptoms for me at the moment, but if cramping every so often but nothing to write home about. Desperate to tell someone - but it is so so early.
