Hey all!
Huge congratulations to everybody.

I got my bfp on Friday morning - took a cb and didnt get a control line or anything (very miffed) then took a cb digital and boom PREGNANT!
Although, by the time I got home from work my earlier cb test now had a blue line in the First window but still no control line 😂 (think I flooded it)

Anyway First pregnancy for me and my dh, very nervous so have booked an early scan when I'll be 7+3, haven't told anyone its killing me!

Hardly any symptoms - boobs are a little sore, tummy feels weird but I'm struggling to sleep which is not me! When I do sleep its poor quality. All training though right...😁

@Busybee143@SqidgeBum teacher here too! TA when I had my first two so also wondering how I will manage...then there’s my age as well 😂

FlashesOfRage · 01/03/2020 13:49

Congrats to everyone 😘😘😘

I got my bfp last Saturday (22nd) following my first round of IVF. Quite unbelievable to be honest and feeling very afraid that it won’t last 😬 My due date is Nov 2nd.

We tested two days before my blood test appointment because I was having an intense evening of pinchy boobs pains! I’d never had anything like it before and when I then complained my dinner smelled off my husband was like “do the test!!!”.

We had two blood tests this week to confirm doubling HCG (117% in 47hrs 👌) then that’s it till our 7wk heartbeat scan on March 16th! 🍀🤞

*48hrs obviously 😅

LexieBB · 01/03/2020 14:27

That’s wonderful FlashesofRage! My first official prenatal examination and scan isn’t until March 26 @ 8 week mark but I went ahead and scheduled a pg test and blood work with my normal gynecologist for this Thursday bc I’m paranoid af and just want to hear a doctor say it’s all real (even though I’ve taken 3 frers, 1 cb and about a dozen cheapies since my initial bfp last Tuesday).

This is all one giant waiting game isn’t it. 🙃

Moominmiss · 01/03/2020 15:50

Hey everyone, I’m not going to join just yet as I don’t want to tempt fate, but I’ve had 3 bfp’s today at 8dpo.

I’m really sceptical and convinced it will turn into a chemical.

I miscarried on 1st January when I should have been 8 weeks pregnant.

Has anyone else tested and got a bfp so early and it turn out ok?

I totally blame my insane poas addiction 🙈

IF it sticks and turns into a proper bfp then I’d be due around 14th November ish.

SqidgeBum · 01/03/2020 16:00

@Moominmiss with my last pregnancy I got a bfp at 8dpo and everything was fine. I had a textbook pregnancy. I understand your trepidation though. I am still expecting a period to turn up despite 5 days of bfps

Moominmiss · 01/03/2020 16:31

@SqidgeBum I know! That’s basically me testing every day now for the foreseeable 😂

Beesly · 01/03/2020 17:09

@Whoamieven opk tests pick it up nicely!

BFN at what is 13-15 dpo (irregular periods). I want my mind to accept it and bring on the AF. Can't do with another extremely long period and no hope. I don't know what's wrong with me, two years of TTC and not getting anywhere. Sad

LxGx · 01/03/2020 17:55

Hi, just new to this Smile we have just found out we are approx 5 weeks. I was looking for some advice on drinks such as green tea, flavoured teas? Have cut out coffee and just looking for an alternative with very low or zero caffeine.

carrot88 · 01/03/2020 18:02

@LxGx I drink Redbush tea - I'm caffeine free anyway due a migraine problem - I also drink peppermint tea (also a good tummy settler)...I so wish I could have caffeine right now though - so tired!!!

LxGx · 01/03/2020 18:14

@carrot88 great i will try the peppermint thanks Smile oh i know! I was drinking alot prior to finding out so is a shock to the system cutting it out!

SqidgeBum · 01/03/2020 18:54

@LxGx I am still having my one cup a day. My 'what to expect when you are expecting' book says 200mg is fine, and a teaspoon of instant coffee is about 57mg, so it should be fine. I only gave up coffee on my first during and for about 4 weeks after morning sickness. The smell made me gag.

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 19:54

Anyone going to be around my age when baby is here? I'll be 38 😱

ParisInTheSpringtime · 01/03/2020 20:06

I’ll be 38 too (although have only just realised that Confused ) Due around 7 Nov I think. Although I can’t work out my dates. I think I am 2 weeks, but my app counts from my last period. So which is it? I’m so confused.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 01/03/2020 20:07

Also I am having a couple of cups of coffee a day.

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 20:26

@ParisInTheSpringtime so pregnancy is dated from 1st day of your last period. So in essence the first '2 ish weeks pregnant', no one is pregnant, but that's how they date it

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 20:27

@EasterBunny7 I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you any fertility support as you've been TTC for so long?

ParisInTheSpringtime · 01/03/2020 20:28

Thanks @Whoamieven Smile so when people say that 12 weeks is “safe” to let people know, is that from the last period date or from conception?

I’m sorry for the stupid questions. I have ordered a book Blush

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 20:28

@Beesly OPKs for the win! Excellent! I can keep weeing for another 48 days 😂

mOmShanti · 01/03/2020 20:29

@Whoamieven @parisinthespringtime I’ll also be 38, it’s no big deal these days 😎 .... And I also love my coffee... why do we have to cut it out? Is a cup a day ok?

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 20:33

@ParisInTheSpringtime no question is stupid. Basically from the moment you are pregnant its dated from your first day of last period, so everything from that date on is based on that. So 12 weeks 'safe' will be 12 weeks from last period etc. If you tell me the first day of your last period I can tell you how pregnant you are

Whoamieven · 01/03/2020 20:35

@mOmShanti caffeine is linked to low birth weight, so that's why it's restricted. The limit is 200mg a day, so about two cups of instant coffee:)

Oldermum80 · 01/03/2020 20:37

@Whoamieven I will be 40 🤦🏻‍♀️ This was never my plan but after my divorce I met a new partner who has no children.
