Thanks @uisage. My resting hr has been so up and down the last few months it’s hard to tell what’s normal. Looks like mine is so that’s a relief! Planned here too but definitely Valentine’s!
I was referred by my GP yesterday and have already received my booking in and scan appointment. I still feel like I’ve got a long way to go before I get to them but my booking appointment is at 8 weeks and my scan is at just over 12. The scan is at the Fetal Medicine Research Institute so they do extra tests and I get the Harmony test on the NHS if I am less than 1:500 risk. They are also doing a pre eclampsia screening and prevention study so I will take part in that. I’m really glad I get the extras because I’m so anxious with my age and the medication I’m taking.

FireflyGirl · 10/03/2020 19:02

@ACatCalledLola increased rhr was one of my first pregnancy symptoms, so fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about.

According to my app, I ovulated just before Valentine's Day so could be a Valentine's baby here. DS was a honeymoon baby, so it would be appropriate Grin

DS came at 38 weeks, so I'm expecting this one to come in October if all goes to plan.

November 2020 Babies?
Devias · 10/03/2020 19:58

Hey all! After a long long while (my son is almost 7 yo) I am pregnant again, and it’s a planned baby. My due date is on the 31 of Oct and I am full on nauseous... constant heaving and already vomited a few times. It’s really tough with all the fatigue and nausea to keep up with my job in finance... I just want to snuggle up somewhere in the corner and sleep all 9 months Shock anyone else in the same boat??

Montii · 10/03/2020 20:24

My resting heart rate has also risen, by roughly 6BPM which is pretty normal I think.

It did for me last time with my 2 year old son as well.

No nausea here yet, but just really tired. I kinda want some morning sickness to kick in so it feels more real, but I will probably regret saying that if and when it happens.

Hi @Devias first of all congratulations on your BFPFlowers Sorry to hear about the nausea it really does suck. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow and also struggling with the heaving. I can totally empathise in terms of keeping up at work. Have you spoken to your employer or are you waiting until you are further along?

Whoamieven · 10/03/2020 21:30

@Devias working a stressful job is hard. I feel for you. You are entitled to breaks being pregnant I think, could you have a quiet word with HR?
Luckily I work from home at the moment, but I worked a corporate job with my last pregnancies and it was hard

Shepard1208 · 10/03/2020 23:19

Just got my BFP a few days ago, 2 faint positives and a positive digital. Last period ended 11th Feb so 4 weeks tomorrow i think? Still doesn’t feel real. First baby, first month TTC so we were very very luck. Did a due date calculator and it says 21st November! So scared of losing it within the first few weeks though. So many women I know have had problems and early miscarriages and it’s terrifying me.

Emelene · 11/03/2020 02:30

Has everyone seen this?

https://datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php

It's stats on miscarriage but presented in a really positive helpful way - I find it really reassuring! Smile

bluebell94 · 11/03/2020 05:34

When's everyone telling work?
I'm planning to keep it from them at least 10-12 weeks however we're quite a small team and my colleague got pregnant last year and a couple of people guessed immediately - she had horrendous HG from early on so I guess it was difficult to hide! My manager will need to risk assess me as I'm a nurse and do lift heavy bags and equipment etc so I'm just going to be wary for now I think.

Also woke up feeling slightly queasy this morning and I was walking the dog yesterday afternoon and started randomly heaving as I was walking along a street. Lovely!

ohiwishyouwerehere · 11/03/2020 06:36

Morning all,

Had an internal scan yesterday at 5+4 and there is a clear gestational sac but nothing inside it. Is that normal at this point? The doctor seemed to be happy and think it was fine as the sac is measuring to the dates I'd given her and just said to come back when I'm 7 weeks to look again.

It just looks so...empty.

Beesly · 11/03/2020 06:40

@Emelene that’s so good! I love it, thanks for sharing 😊

Persiaclementine · 11/03/2020 06:47

I'm joining, due between 16th November, had miscarage in october so very nervous, but as a previous poster has said, this pregnancy feels different. Last time I knew from the beginning that something wasnt right. This time it feels like my pregnancy with my DS. So keeping positive.

Survivingmy3yearold · 11/03/2020 07:11

@bluebell94 I've had to tell work already and I'm not even 6 weeks. I work in a school and we work in departments so I work across 3 classes and with a large number of colleagues and I knew as soon as I was ducking out with sickness they'd all be speculating and would quickly guess so I figured it was better to just come clean Grin I've also had my risk assessments with senior management which felt really premature but they're happy to do whatever is needed throughout the pregnancy which is good

SJ1989 · 11/03/2020 07:13

@bluebell94 I'm agency and there are permanent positions coming up in the next few months so holding off until I'm hopefully permanent!

@ohiwishyouwerehere how far along are you? If the doctor sees happy I would try (impossible i know) not to worry, if they are worried they normally tell you so you can be prepared if needed

ohiwishyouwerehere · 11/03/2020 07:16

@SJ1989 I was 5+4. Thanks, that's true especially where I live they tend to be over dramatic so perhaps all will be ok. It'll be a long time til next Thursday though 🙈

FireflyGirl · 11/03/2020 07:20

@ohiwishyouwerehere that's perfectly normal. I had an early scan at 5+2, and it was the same. They don't expect to see much at this stage, but by 7 weeks there should be a blob with a heartbeat. When is your rescan?

@bluebell94 I don't plan to tell work until after the dating scan. I have a history of miscarriage, so even though it will probably be obvious (it was last time) I will be keeping quiet.

@Persiaclementine I know what you mean about it feeling 'wrong'. My MMC last year was the same, but this one feels 'right'. I guess time will tell.

wannabebump · 11/03/2020 07:21

I think I'm going to try and hold off until 12 weeks to tell work unless the sickness ramps up really. We have an early scan at 8 but even then I don't think we'll tell anyone.

It's still a big secret, just me and DH know! X

ACatCalledLola · 11/03/2020 07:28

Welcome @Shepard1208 and @Persiaclementine. Also any others I’ve missed!
@ohiwishyouwerehere I think that’s normal. That’s all that could be seen on my scan last week and they said that they weren’t likely to see much more until 7 weeks. I googled and a lot of people can only see a sac at that stage. Remember your dates might not be exact and even a day or two makes a big difference in what you can see. I think as long as the dr’s happy then you should be. I know how horrible the wait is though. I’ve got another 2 weeks until my next scan and every day feels like an eternity.

ohiwishyouwerehere · 11/03/2020 07:36

@ACatCalledLola @Fireflygirl thank you both so much. I know it was unlikely but now I'm just waiting which feels like forever. I will be 7 weeks next Thursday (not tomorrow!) and will be going then or the Friday morning for the next one. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

SJ1989 · 11/03/2020 07:40

@ohiwishyouwerehere pregnancy is fantastic at making time drag isn't it but more so when you are worried, with my daughter I had a scan at 6+4 and what we could see was tiny and what I've read says it can be hard to see much at 6 weeks never mind earlier

MummyMilla · 11/03/2020 07:42

I've got up this morning after a really bad night's sleep. Convinced my boobs are hurting less (still full & tender) and that a MC is incoming. Arrrrrgh. I have got so much work stuff going on I'd hoped to be able to forget about Monday and just soldier on until next week for another scan.

Fairly sure there will be tears today Sad

HarrietM87 · 11/03/2020 07:52

@ohiwishyouwerehere I had a scan at 5+6 in my pregnancy with my son and saw a tiny heartbeat. The sonographer was surprised and said that was the very earliest they’d expect to see that, so just the sac at 5+4 is totally normal. I’m having a scan at 6 weeks next week (certain of dates) so really hoping to see a heartbeat but know it might be too soon.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 11/03/2020 08:10

@MummyMilla I hope you are wrong x

ohiwishyouwerehere · 11/03/2020 08:16

@HarrietM87 thank you that's reassuring x

@MummyMilla I hope all works out okay

AnxiousLady1 · 11/03/2020 09:10

@bluebell94 I'm trying to hold off until at least 12 weeks as I had an early MMC on my last pregnancy. It is getting increasingly difficult though. We had to advise the entire office to WFH due to a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the building. While some feel that was an overreaction, I want to protect myself more than anything, and can't tell them why!
