Still no symptoms for me. Have an early scan next week which will hopefully either allay fears or let us know what is going on so we can try again.

AnxiousLady1 · 10/03/2020 09:59

@Survivingmy3yearold I went to bed before 9 last night and had a good 8-9 hours sleep, but still feel like my eyes are burning with tiredness today.

@Quail15 Congratulations! I know spotting is pretty common, but understand your nerves. I think a lot of us are experiencing those at this stage for varying reasons and based on past experiences. Sending positive vibes your way!

nee83 · 10/03/2020 10:05

Hi all

I got my BFP last week working my due date out to be 3rd Nov. Very nervous but excited. Phoned the midwife team yesterday just waiting for my booking in appt to be sent out.

SJ1989 · 10/03/2020 10:07

@AnxiousLady1 i'm imagining its dye to body temp being slightly higher and body needing more fluids due to increased blood volume and creating amniotic fluid but I'm bad for not drinking enough during the day too

AnxiousLady1 · 10/03/2020 10:15

@SJ1989 So that all makes sense! I'm trying to stop myself googling things in case I stumble across negative information - as is generally the case when Google doctoring! I won't lie - when I woke this morning and felt particularly hot my brain immediatey went to 'coronavirus'. I'm turning into a fruitcake! I'm usually okay at drinking water - particularly at work. Current result, however, is I need the loo a lot more than usual.

@ParisInTheSpringtime - Best of luck with your scan. How far along are you? I've talked to people that had no symptoms until later into first trimester.

Sakura54 · 10/03/2020 10:20

It would be scary to get corona, let alone when pregnant! Probably wasn’t the best time for us lol.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 10/03/2020 10:22

@AnxiousLady1 I am 6 weeks, due 5 Nov.

wannabebump · 10/03/2020 10:24

So glad to read posts about sickness, tiredness etc! I've had the odd wave of nausea, but the last few days if it strikes I literally feel it in my throat and it's a cough/gag reflex when it happens. I haven't lost my dinner yet though! Boobs are very tender and the odd cramp which I assume is normal... some sore stomaches but it's always followed by gas/toilet so don't think it's a concern. Struggling to sleep at 3/4am and my eyes are burning with tiredness after I've been up about 30mins!

I'm 5+3 today, this is all very new to me, 2nd time pregnant but 1st time was ectopic so not sure what feels right and wrong!

Xx

AnxiousLady1 · 10/03/2020 10:41

@Sakura54 I know right!! I've gone into overdrive at work telling people to work from home if they think they might be ill. What I can't say, but am actually thinking, is that I don't want them near me as I'm pregnant and don't want to catch anything! Wink

@ParisInTheSpringtime Still early days, so not having too many symptoms at this point is fairly normal I gather. Everyone is different, and I know the symptoms I have this time around are completely different from last time too, so I guess it can vary from pregnancy to pregnancy in the same way as from perosn to person.

Anon87 · 10/03/2020 11:08

My day off, my First appointment with midwife at GP's today, rather excited to get the ball rolling and as soon as I'm giving my name in my boss rings because I've not replied to his 2 work texts either. Bit of a downer 🙄

cmosh · 10/03/2020 12:04

Hi ladies

Anyone experiencing sharp needle like pains in the abdomen? It's mainly one side, now super panicking it might be sinister. It's different to cramping pains - apart from that still feeling nauseous and super tired....no bleeding. Is this normal????

Cardiff88 · 10/03/2020 12:41

Just had my bfp at the weekend. Really excited but I forgot how much information you had to fill in for you antenatal records!

HarrietM87 · 10/03/2020 12:44

@cmosh have you had any pain in your shoulder? Not to worry you but sharp, one sided pain can be an indication of an ectopic pregnancy - google the signs and contact your GP if you’re worried.

Survivingmy3yearold · 10/03/2020 13:01

@AnxiousLady1 it's a killer isn't it Sad Going to give the spatone iron sachets a go, I'm hoping they'll give me a little boost, just enough to not be so tired that I can barely remember my name Confused

Sunshinebear75 · 10/03/2020 13:07

There seem to be so many babies due in November 🥰..

I'm 45 scared to death as lm so old and this really
Is a miracle but all being well due 13th November so still very early xx

cmosh · 10/03/2020 13:10

@HarrietM87 no shoulder pain, I've had the usual cramps/feeling fuller but not like this pain/prickly sensation. I think I might give 111 a call and see what they say... I feel like I'll never stop worrying at this point Confused

ACatCalledLola · 10/03/2020 14:13

@AnxiousLady1 I have on off nausea. I’m sure it was worse last week but I’m possibly just panicking. I’m also exhausted and so thirsty. My resting heart rate has also done this (see pic). I’m hoping it’s pregnancy related and not my thyroid going haywire again. I had my thyroid levels tested yesterday so hopefully I’ll find out soon.
@cmosh I had stabbing pain on my right hand side last week. I went to the EPU and they scanned as a suspected ectopic. It wasn’t but I’m glad I got checked. It’s worth getting checked out if you’re worried.
@Sunshinebear75 congratulations! I wonder if Valentine’s Day had anything to do with the number of November babies Grin

Congratulations to the new BFPs! This is a very busy thread!

I've been getting back and pelvic pain already! I had pelvic pain really badly when I had DS2 so my body might just be remembering that!
I've found my nausea is really on and off. I panic when it's not there, I've never been so happy to feel sick.
I've let my GP surgery know. Weirdly they've booked my 16 week appointment and have said that the midwife will be in touch about the 12 week scan. The receptionist seemed really confused about the booking in appointment and said they don't deal with that. The info sheet she gave me said to call the midwives to arrange it though. I'm going to wait to see if I get contacted by them because my number is on the referral form but if not will call them next week. It never used to be this complicated!

kirstb89 · 10/03/2020 14:40

I've not had much nausea only really slightly 😏 so now I'm worrying but I'm only about 4weeks something days so maybe its a bit early? Did another cheapy test and that came up straight away. I've got sore boobs and I'm really really tired but I have switched to decaffeinated coffee so maybe just withdrawal from caffeine? X

Whoamieven · 10/03/2020 14:40

Pregnancy headaches ergh, also findind going to sleep hard. Anyone else?

AnxiousLady1 · 10/03/2020 14:54

@Whoamieven Yes!! I am with you on both counts. Before getting prgnant I had zero problems falling asleep (was always asleep before 10). For the last week I have struggled most nights. I went to bed at 8ish last night (determined to get sleep) and managed to get 8 hours (was wide awake again around 2ish for a while). I am glad that a few others have mentioned this side effect today, as I was beginning to think that the fact I was stuggling to sleep (despite being super tired), rather than falling asleep at the drop of a hat, was a bad sign.

wafflewafflewaffle · 10/03/2020 14:55

Congrats to everyone who has recently joined the group! Looks like Nov is going to be a busy month for babies Grin

I was away on a hen weekend last weekend and used the antibiotics excuse for not drinking, not sure how convincing it was but nobody called me out on it anyway! I will be 6 weeks on Fri and have a few symptoms creeping in - I’ve had some definite waves of nausea today and have been craving really salty, spicy, flavoursome foods - which is weird because in my previous pregnancy all I wanted was bland, beige food.

To those asking if irritability is a pregnancy symptom - yes definitely! My husband is already bracing himself for the months ahead. Also waking up really thirsty - in my last pregnancy I was drinking about 3-4 large glasses of water a night by the end, which the midwife assured me was totally normal.

HarrietM87 · 10/03/2020 14:56

I’m really grumpy as well...feel sorry for my husband and colleagues! I’m taking progesterone though so wonder if that’s the cause - just feel like I have terrible PMT at the moment!

bluebell94 · 10/03/2020 15:26

Hello, I'm going to cautiously move over here from conception threads Smile
Got my BFP on Saturday, think I will be around 4-5 weeks so due middle of November. Absolutely no nausea or sore boobs which is what I was looking out for but been really thirsty, needing to wee more often and had some horribly vivid dreams! Only me and DH know for now, I'll tell my DM soon I think (Mother's Day I think?!) as she knows we've been TTC about 6 months now. Possibly also my best friend and she's also TTC and we've been keeping each other sane. Good luck to all, here's to healthy pregnancies and babies in time for Christmas! X

uisage · 10/03/2020 17:04

Haha, Valentine's baby here. But it was planned.
