@Beesly its at half 11, felt i had to have an early scan to rule out worries. Really dont feel pregnant and i need to convince myself i am i hope anyway

MoreGinPlease2020 · 09/03/2020 16:16

@Chickoletta I tried Seedlip over the weekend and thought it was pretty vile. I'll have to look into Ceders. I love the idea of swapping drinks where possible and basically waiting until everyone else is too drunk to notice! That made me smile.

ohiwishyouwerehere · 09/03/2020 16:28

@ParisInTheSpringtime I've been thinking about it a lot- the country I live I think the maximum I can have is 40 days which makes me sad. I think I can extend it to a 100 with a doctors note but wouldn't get paid. Just sounds so unreasonably tiny to go straight into nursery at that age 😭

ParisInTheSpringtime · 09/03/2020 16:52

@ohiwishyouwerehere that’s no time at all 😢

I have been worrying but am getting a grip now, and will spend this evening budgeting (fun times). We are in a better position than many, so should count ourselves lucky.

Oldermum80 · 09/03/2020 18:11

@MummyMilla I know there are always a mix of good and bad and I don’t want to build your hopes but with my second, I bled. I went to the epu for a scan and the same happened as you and I had to go back a week later. It was the longest week of my life but when I went back, there was a heartbeat and it had just been too early. I can’t remember specific dates as it is 15 years ago but when I went back I remember I was over 6 weeks. I hope everything works out for you.

ACatCalledLola · 09/03/2020 19:21

Sorry you’re having to go through all this worry @MummyMilla. I really hope it’s just too early. When I went for my scan at the EPU last week all they saw was the gestational sac. They have booked me in for a follow up scan to see if I’m progressing but they didn’t want to do it before 7 weeks because they said they still might not see much. At that stage every day counts and if you’re even a few days behind where you thought you were, it would make sense you didn’t see anything. Fingers crossed your dates are out.
I’ve also got the issue of drinking at the weekend. We’re going for a meal at dh’s colleague’s house and live so close that we can’t drive. As it’s at their house I won’t be pouring my own drinks and I don’t really want to tell someone who isn’t a very close friend before I tell family and close friends. I can’t even pretend it’s lent because I said nothing when we were invited for dinner and drinks.
@ohiwishyouwerehere I honestly don’t know how they expect people to cope with that. I wouldn’t have been physically able to work that soon after having either of mine and I was exhausted for months (or years!).

MummyMilla · 09/03/2020 20:07

@Oldermum80 thank you for commenting, that's reassuring. There do seem to be lots of good news stories out there (for once it feels like Google is my friend) and so I am going to try and put it out of my mind!

Thanks @ACatCalledLola - as crap as it is that someone else is going through this, also reassuring to know I'm not the only one. I'm just messaging an obvs and gynae mate who has also reassured me quite a bit. It ain't over till it's over and all that!!

uisage · 09/03/2020 20:25

@mummymilia Hopefully all goes well next week, it'll be the longest week ever for you! I booked an early reassurance scan today, she wouldn't take an appointment for me until I was 8 weeks because she said any earlier wasn't reliable to get a heartbeat.

@parisinthespringtime Minimum age at my nursery is 3 months. You'll just have to ring around locally, they'll all be different. I'm taking a year of maternity again, I get 5 months full pay and we've saved enough money to cover the rest.

@novicettc I properly shouted at DH last night about something that would usually just irritate me. On the other hand, I also can't get enough cuddles with DS (which he is loving). Hormones are tricky!

wannabebump · 09/03/2020 20:44

@ACatCalledLola sorry you're going through this. I do think it could be too early... my subfertility specialist won't see me until 8 weeks for an early scan so it's as reliable as possible x

MummyMilla · 09/03/2020 21:15

Thank you all for sharing stories and helping me feel a bit less sad about today. Going to bed tonight feeling a little hopeful but also pragmatic about what may lie ahead Flowers

DollyM85 · 09/03/2020 21:26

Hi all,

Congrats to all you mummies to be 😁

I'm new to this site and over the moon to see a thread for Nov babies!!

After missing my period, suffering stomach cramps and needing the toilet more often than usual i decided to bite the bullet and take a test this morning. The blue line was clear as day but i couldn't help taking another one later in the afternoon with e same strong result. Wondering what the chances are of this being inaccurate??

Any advice is much appreciated!

SqidgeBum · 09/03/2020 21:29

@DollyM85 I would say nearly 0. Two strong tests and a missed period, you are most definitely pregnant! Congrats!

DollyM85 · 09/03/2020 21:36

@SqidgeBum This makes me feel much better! Stressing that i'm going to spend the nxt 8 weeks thinking i'm pregnant when i'm not. Went for the more expensive Clear Blue tests just to make sure. Hoping i'm not tempted to do more over the coming weeks SmileSmile

SqidgeBum · 09/03/2020 21:38

In fairness, I had my bfp over 2 weeks ago and I still am taking a test every 3 days or so just to keep an eye on my hormone levels. It can be a hard thing to get your head around. Is this your first @DollyM85?

DollyM85 · 09/03/2020 22:25

@SqidgeBum Yes! And only been off the pill for a few months so it's defo a little shock to the system. Booked in with the midwife in 5 weeks time. Think i'm due around the 12th of Nov. I think i have a lot of studying to do from now on ha

DollyM85 · 09/03/2020 22:26

@SqidgeBum Oh and congrats to you Smile

SqidgeBum · 10/03/2020 07:37

@DollyM85 oh I understand how it's a shock. Myself and DH weren't even TTC! We have a 15 month old. It was a bit of a 'ah it will be ok. It took us 8 months to get pregnant last time' sort of thing hahaha.

AnxiousLady1 · 10/03/2020 08:09

Morning ladies!

Just wanted to check in on where people are at with fluctuating symptoms? I'm 5w4d today and after a MMC on my last pregnancy I'm picking up on everything (much as I try not to). Have had mild cramping off and on since getting my BFP and breast tenderness. The tenderness seemed particularly strong yesterday, and when I woke this morning - nothing. No real nausea yet. Just the occasional headache.

Also- is Any one else parched when they wake in the morning?? Or is that just me!!

SJ1989 · 10/03/2020 08:23

@AnxiousLady1 yes I'm waking up really thirsty

SqidgeBum · 10/03/2020 08:26

@AnxiousLady1 I am 5+3 and I have slightly sore boobs, I am tired yet I am struggling to sleep, and the nausea decided to arrive with a bang this morning. I know this is the start of 50+ days of morning sickness for me. The joys Sad

GB88 · 10/03/2020 09:00

@AnxiousLady1 ive had mild cramps everyday from bfp and breast soreness that comes & goes, no real nausea (kinda hope it comes a bit just for more symptoms - might regret saying that lol) ive been waking up at like 4am & finding it hard to get bk to sleep, dont know if thats a symptom

AnxiousLady1 · 10/03/2020 09:20

@SJ1989 - Any idea what the thirst is about?! Seems so random and I don't recall hvaing it last time around.

@SqidgeBum I am equally suffering from feeling tired, yet struggling to sleep. Glad I'm not the only one. I naturally assumed if I felt so tired I'd be needing to nap constantly, rather than struggling to get to sleep. When I do sleep I am having vivid dreams every night though - that bit I gather is pretty normal.

@GB88 I am with you on the wanting the nausea to come, but may also regret that. I think last time I was into week 6 when it started, and even then it was more like consistent dizzy feeling that messed with my appetite (couldn't stomach a lot of foods, unless they were beige). I think I expected to be getting sick, but that wasn't the case.

Survivingmy3yearold · 10/03/2020 09:30

I’m 5+5 and also waking in the morning feeling like I haven’t drunk a drop for days. Also just so so tired. Haven’t been to work the last 2 days, good nights sleep and a 4 hour afternoon nap yesterday yet still fast asleep on the sofa before 9pm Blush Also getting a lot of sickness at random points throughout the day, hoping this will all settle down soon

Quail15 · 10/03/2020 09:38

Hi ladys, I'm going to join you for the moment if that's ok. I have been spotting on and off and quite crampy but no af - took a test early this morning and got BFP. Its a big surprise as I have been told I can't have children naturally ( my 15 month old DD is the result of 4 years of fertility treatment).
I have my fingers crossed the spotting settles. I had a lot of early pregnancy bleeding with DD so hopefully it's just the same thing. I'm so nervous though 😬 I keep running to the loo to check the spotting isn't getting heavier.
I hope everyone else is having a good morning.

Sakura54 · 10/03/2020 09:43

I’m 6 +5 and had cramps for nearly 2 weeks which have stopped now, nausea when hungry, dizzy when I get up (got GP to check my blood pressure which was fine), constantly sleepy, sometimes achy boobs and dry mouth/thirsty when I wake up. I’m pretty sure I didn’t have all this the 1st time around lol.
