@acatcalledlola I was very nervous to do a digital too but I'm now I'm so glad I did! It's definitely made it sink in a bit more now! Xx

ACatCalledLola · 08/03/2020 08:38

@Mlou32 where I am the doctor refers you to the local midwife team. They just ask which hospital you want to go to. I have the choice of 4 which are all a similar distance. It’s worth doing some research on the facilities and other people’s experiences first. I’m seeing my dr tomorrow at 5+2.

SqidgeBum · 08/03/2020 08:53

@Mc3209 that's very normal. It's just your hormones changing. I am the same. I was feeling sick and crampy most of last week, and now I pretty much feel normal. I was the exact same on my last pregnancy. Try not to panic.

uisage · 08/03/2020 08:55

It's amazing that there are so many people expecting number 2 or more! I am currently wondering why we signed up to do this again, and there are people going for number 3!

@CyclingMumKingston I ran and went to the gym during my first pregnancy. I managed a 10k at 16 weeks, and was doing spin class till I was too big to fit on the bike. The advice I followed last time was too keep my heart rate under 170bpm (otherwise you might deprive baby of oxygen) and listen to my body.

ACatCalledLola · 08/03/2020 09:08

@CyclingMumKingston I am also a runner but have stopped because it’s a high risk pregnancy. I will carry on doing low impact home workouts with light weights though. Need to hide the pregnancy as long as possible because of the risks and I have a tendency to gain a lot of weight!

NoseringGirl · 08/03/2020 09:22

@uisage there was a point after our second that we were both adamant we wouldn't have any more children. Then the broodiness kicked in! DH says we have to stop at 3 though Grin

Sakura54 · 08/03/2020 09:48

@uisage lol there’s no way I’m having more than 2. After I give my only child a sibling, I’m done! I’ve never felt broody before...more like having children is something that has to be done

firsttimemumfeb · 08/03/2020 10:03

Hi everyone...first of all congratulations to all the mums to be in Nov. I got my BFP yesterday 7th March and I am due 11th Nov. Over the moon, filled with so much happiness and joy...we are pregnant yay Smile We are first time parents please help lol. First thing tomorrow I will be contacting my GP. Is there anything else I need to do?

NoseringGirl · 08/03/2020 10:15

@firsttimemumfeb congratulations!
Make sure you're taking folic acid if you've not started already! But otherwise, not much happens in the first few weeks! I find getting an app that shows development quite helpful and interesting.

My symptoms are also sporadic except for exhaustion which is constant 😞 I’m 5 +2 so still early days and the lack of symptom consistency makes me anxious. Also - My FR tests seem to indicate that my hcg levels are kinda low as the line is not as dark as I would have thought at this stage. It’s about 50% as dark as the control line. Does anyone know if this is ok? Xx

Busybee143 · 08/03/2020 11:58

@ACatCalledLola @CyclingMumKingston
Runner here too but im terrified of going out, havent been out since a few days before implantation bleeding out of fear. I may wait till ive had reassurance from an early scan.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 08/03/2020 13:10

Hi all. Congratulations on the BPFs! Can I please tentatively join? I'm 5+4 and due on 4 November with my first baby. I had a MMC 2 years ago at 9+5 and so am terrified that this won't stick either. I'm really struggling to get excited as I don't want to get my hopes up. I've got intermittent symptoms which I guess is a good sign and am generally pretty exhausted - I think I'll need to tell my boss otherwise he might think I'm slacking... We're toying with going for an early scan but I lost the baby after the scan last time so it's not very reassuring. X

uisage · 08/03/2020 13:18

@Sakura54 the only reason why we are going for number 2 is that I don't want an only. Dreading the next year, I hated being pregnant and having a newborn. I've just started to feel like myself again and I'm throwing another hand grenade into my life.

@firsttimemumfeb Congrats! If you haven't already , check what you can ans can't eat. Plus anything you use on a daily basis - I use olbas oil to help me sleep, it took until about week 8 last time to check and figure out it was what was causing me to have cramps! I would also recommend Expecting Better by Emily Ostler as a read - it explains why you can't do things and gives you the stats on them so you can make your own decisions.

@mOmshanti that's my test this morning at 4+6. Still not as dark as the control line. I don't have that many symptoms and they come and go. So long as you don't have pain or bleeding, you're probably fine. It's natural to worry, I was a nervous wreck in the first trimester last time. I'm hoping this time will be better.

eleanorsos · 08/03/2020 20:53

@kirstb89 congrats! Flowers Same kind of date as me I think, first time for us though. How are you finding it second time round?

kirstb89 · 08/03/2020 21:05

@eleanorsos hi hun congratulations , apart from sore boobs and dizziness I didn't have many symptoms it was a huge shock as we've been ttc for 6 years 😳 xx

eleanorsos · 08/03/2020 21:16

Wow that must be such a relief for you then! Wishing you both a nice easy pregnancy, once you're over the shock!! Grin

NoseringGirl · 08/03/2020 21:24

@kirstb89 ahh that's amazing! Congratulations!

kirstb89 · 08/03/2020 21:30

@eleanorsos Thank you! How is yours going what made you test? Definitely is.xx

@NoseringGirl Thank you hun. Xx

Tonicandgin · 08/03/2020 22:29

Congrats to the new joiners. Smile

We've spent the day house hunting, we were half looking anyway but dc3 means we'll need a new car and house. Game changer!

We were looking for both anyway but were undecided about baby 3. Not anymore! 😂

We're still in a complete state of shock! I wish I could tell people irl. But want to tell the kids first and can't tell them until we knows it's all okay.

Tonicandgin · 08/03/2020 22:31

Is anyone considering harmony testing?

I've never done nt test because it's a probability and wouldn't have changed my approach and I would have just worried about it. But I'm wondering about harmony.

Chickoletta · 08/03/2020 22:34

We’re considering Harmony testing this time, but only really because I’m 40 now.

eleanorsos · 08/03/2020 22:36

@kirstb89 Well we weren't really 'trying' as such and were trying to be relaxed about it before TTC properly in a few months... But after a few days of feeling tired and nauseous and thinking it was just a bug or something, I thought I'd better rule out pregnancy - and here we are haha! We are both totally shocked but really excited and getting over it slowly Wink

@Tonicandgin good luck with the house hunt! We are halfway through buying our first place and really hoping it goes through now there's a little added time pressure... Grin
