@eleanorsos aw that's amazing! We stopped ttc last few month & went with the flow! It does get stressful! Aw here's to a healthy and happy 9 months. Xx

wannabebump · 08/03/2020 22:46

@Tonicandgin I'm thinking abut harmony test too x

ACatCalledLola · 09/03/2020 07:19

@Tonicandgin we will also need a new car. I’ve been looking into ones with 3 isofix points at the back. There aren’t many around! I’m also thinking about harmony because I am older. A hospital near me does do them for high risk patients so I’m thinking of booking in there so it’s potentially an option on the NHS. Otherwise I will go to the Fetal Medicine Centre in London.
Woke up this morning convinced my symptoms are gone. My boobs don’t feel as sore. I think I still feel sick though now I’m actually up. This is such a rollercoaster!

Beesly · 09/03/2020 07:26

Congratulations to all who have just joined. I was away in a caravan for the weekend trying to forget about my scan next week. I’m getting so anxious.
What’s a harmony test?

Tonicandgin · 09/03/2020 07:27

I've done my research before now and we're looking at a Citroen Picasso grand. It's a 7 seater but has 3 proper seats in the back. My cars on its last legs anyway so it's not a bad time.

Good that you can get harmony testing in NHS! Private round here I think.

wannabebump · 09/03/2020 07:29

@Tonicandgin I think it's private only where I am x

SJ1989 · 09/03/2020 07:31

@Tonicandgin I had a Citroen picasso zsara before and loved it, we've not ling since got a C4 Grand which I completely love, its got 3 full sized seats too and then the 2 in the boot like the picasso grand

NoseringGirl · 09/03/2020 07:37

We've got the Grand Picasso and I love it, it's a fab car. Very comfortable and lovely to drive for such a massive car!

ACatCalledLola · 09/03/2020 07:50

I think I want a Volkswagen Touran. We had a look at a few a while back. My car is small so we need a new one anyway. This has just made it more of a priority! I’ll look at the Citroen too.

Busybee143 · 09/03/2020 08:17

@Beesly ive booked an early private scan for Saturday so im anxious too, when is yours?

Myworld90 · 09/03/2020 08:21

me! im due 18th november ish. its so early but got my positive on a cb digital yesterday after a few days of faint lines! this is baby number 2 for me x

LynseyLou1982 · 09/03/2020 08:26

@tonicandgin we're going to get a private NIPT test done. Mostly cause I'm an older mum and there a lot more accurate than the standard NHS ones at 12 weeks.

Beesly · 09/03/2020 08:43

@Busybee143 3pm earliest I could get 😩 when’s yours?

Emelene · 09/03/2020 08:53

I was thinking of booking a private scan - what gestation are people going for? I was thinking 7/8 weeks...

How is everyone feeling with nausea? I'm only 5+6 but getting waves of nausea and feeling tired (even though my 16 month old slept through the night which is a huge deal).

I normally love my Mondays off with her but today I'm finding it hard. We've got friends coming over so I need to tidy again and hoover etc and I just want to sit on the sofa... Sad

MummyMilla · 09/03/2020 09:09

@Tonicandgin I am defo getting a harmony test done - I'm 39. My youngest DS has asperger's and whilst I am totally OK with another autistic baby (it doesn't test for the btw!), I need to be realistic with my ability to cope with more complex needs. My sister in law also has Down's and whist who's the most phenomenal human ever, we are also likely to be caring for her at some stage in the future.

I'm off this am for my early scan - SO nervous! I am 6+5 so still very early, just want to know how many are in there as I keep on panicking it's twins. My boobs are SO huge and sore that it hurts even taking my bra off!

uisage · 09/03/2020 09:32

@Emelene I'm going for week 7 (maybe 7+4 or something). So you've got a good chance of seeing a heartbeat! I've rung the studio and just got through the voicemail though. Hopefully they ring back soon!

I was considering harmony testing. Everything was fine with DS, but I'm feeling a little more nervous about it this time.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 09/03/2020 09:33

I’ve just booked in for an early scan next week, as I still have no symptoms whatsoever (apart from feeling a bit “tight” in lower abdomen every so often). Had a date through for booking in appointment, but will be on holiday then so need to rebook for after.

Montii · 09/03/2020 10:20

I’m a bit nervous of joining in here, I had two early miscarriages last year at 5.5 and 6.5 weeks so it seems a bit like tempting fate but trying to be positive and look on the bright side.

My due date at the moment is the 7th of Nov. Found out after I had my second miscarriage that I have a gene mutation called MTHFR which increases your risk of miscarriages so have made a few changes since then and now on progesterone support, low dose aspirin and a bunch of supplements so hopefully that all does the trick.

I think we will wait until 7-8 weeks to do an early scan, so we are past when we lost the previous pregnancies.

Haven’t told anyone about it yet except for a girl I met on a miscarriage support group Flowers

Hopefully we all have a smooth 8 months ahead of us Flowers

HarrietM87 · 09/03/2020 10:22

Good luck today @MummyMilla!

I had ovulation induction for this cycle so I know I had 3 or poss 4 follicles and so have a chance of twins (or more?!) but have been feeling quite low this weekend as symptoms are coming and going so not daring even to hope for one at the moment. I have a scan booked for 27 March but might try to get one sooner.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 09/03/2020 10:34

What's everyone's views on pretending to drink? I have a couple of events coming up and unfortunately I have some very eagle eyed friends. Given my previous miscarriage, I'm not ready to tell people yet that I'm pregnant, so I've been looking into alcohol free wine. Do you think it's worth a try or will it be glaringly obvious if anyone sees the bottle??

NoseringGirl · 09/03/2020 10:44

@MoreGinPlease2020 I'm meant to be going out on Saturday night and have been thinking about this myself. I'm hoping I can order tonic water in a gin glass and see if I can get away with it like that!

NoseringGirl · 09/03/2020 10:45

@Montii I understand the apprehension, wishing you all the best over the next 8 months. It's good that you found the cause and you've been able to make changes!

HarrietM87 · 09/03/2020 10:58

@MoreGinPlease2020 having been in this situation multiple times myself I think the best thing to do is order an alcoholic drink and just not drink it. Anything else arouses suspicion. You can always tip a bit away when people aren’t looking and once you’ve “had one” drink you can have a non alcoholic for your next one and just say you’re pacing yourself. If your partner is there you can also swap glasses with them.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 09/03/2020 11:06

@MoreGinPlease2020 I ended up telling my friends at the weekend, as predicted they did not believe that I would not drink due to antibiotics 😂

Is there an event you might be training for? I’m using an ultra marathon that I was meant to be doing as excuse not to drink. Maybe having to work on Sunday? Again, no one would bat an eyelid at that for me.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 09/03/2020 11:14

@ParisInTheSpringtime @HarrietM87 @NoseringGirl One of the things is my own hen do and we're starting with drinks at home, so I'm going to struggle unless I can make sure that only select people top up my "drink". The other is a house party and they're already talking about buying the wine...
