Ignore that I'm 6 plus 2 today

twinkleyes35 · 19/02/2020 21:47

🙌12/10 it's me ☺️with the same due date .

I am 6+2 today and my midwife booking appointment is 13 March 😤 yup will be 9+4 and first scan on 31 March (12+ 1) which seems almost nearly entire first trimester without any kinda support specially FTM. Can't wait to see my bunny 😍

There is literally no support from GP/ midwife if you think you experiencing unusual symptoms call EPU eehhh how we know what's usual and Whts not ??

Anyways As much as it annoys me this whole process 😳...I am gratefull 🙏🏻to have family who is supportive and groups like these online supporting each other. Would be difficult without such platforms x this is great experience to share our journeys 🤗xx

Hi all, 1st post and #1 baby. I've not been on this app before so can't follow short hand that well 😂 all those capital letters and not a clue what they mean 😂! found out yesterday I'm pregnant and worked out I'm 4+5. Due end of Oct. Feeling slightly sick and stomach cramps. What should I expect from this pregnancy? I've made a docs appt but is that all I do for now? Lol xxx

MamaK36 · 19/02/2020 22:20

@twinkleyes35 do I need to book a scan before my appointment with the midwife? I literally know nothing.

twinkleyes35 · 19/02/2020 22:28

Welcome @Womanslife ☺️☺️and congratulations on your BFP 🥳

@MamaK36 when I called the midwife line they asked me my last period and after 5 mins on hold came back saying my first booking appointment date and my first scan date.

You first hve booking appointment with midwife and then scan at hospital.

I am in Scotland so we have this ready steady baby nhs website for guidance
Which tells you what to expect and when x

@MamaK36 I just assumed you had to go to the GP when you get a positive test so I called and they saw me straight away. In the end it turns out it wasn’t helpful as he gave the wrong advice about booking in to see the midwife! I’m sorry that you’re feeling so rubbish 😢

MamaK36 · 20/02/2020 09:13

Ah ok. I am assuming they will book my scan at my booking appointment. The information on the nhs website is very vague about timings. Does anyone know when you need to choose a hospital? Is that from the first scan or do you go to the local one for your scan and then can pick later where you want to have baby? There's two near me the RVI Newcastle and Cramlington Emergency Care

marauder1994 · 20/02/2020 09:24

@MamaK36 I got to pick my hospital last time (with the MMC) I picked RVI even though I live in Durham xx

Didn't mean to post 3 times! X

marauder1994 · 20/02/2020 09:26

And I picked at my booking appointment

Again apologies for it posting 3 times. My app is glitching

Hello! I got my BFP yesterday the day my period was due. I think my due date will be 30th October although I'll likely have an ELCS if everything progresses well, so will probably be earlier than that.
I've got really sore boobs & have had some mild cramping but they are my only symptoms so far, other than just having a feeling this month that I was gonna get a positive!
Congratulations to all the BFPs Thanks

MamaK36 · 20/02/2020 13:58

@marauder1994 yeah I will likely go with the RVI but may see if I can look around Cramlington as it's a but closer to where we live and they also have a birthing centre.

Catherine1210 · 20/02/2020 22:19

@marauder1994 I’ve just looked at your readings similar to mine, mine went up 1.5 times in 45 hours, they seemed to be happy enough with this. When I asked about an early scan they said I would need to speak to my midwife at the booking appointment, as they wouldn’t auto refer off those results as happy enough. Did you get offered an early scan?

I’m pleased to see yours when up too. I have felt relief since then, have you? 🤗

Catherine1210 · 20/02/2020 22:21

@MamaK36 @Indigogirl88 @twinkleyes35 congrats of on the 12th October club 🥳 there must have been really bad tv on that evening 🤣xx

MrsCl19 · 21/02/2020 05:26

Hi ladies! Anyone hate they've found out so early? It's constantly on my mind and I'm only just over 4 weeks I thjnk going from ovulation rather than lmp😩 I rang midwives Monday and they said they are really busy so will ring me back within a few days not heard anything yet.... once I have a date for my booking app I think it'll fly

SomethingAboutYou · 21/02/2020 07:30

Hi, so glad that i found you! I joined an October thread on the birth club section and most of them have gone to a facebook group already! 5+2 here with due date around 21st october but will be going for an elective c section so will be a week earlier. So excited but trying not to get carried away as it is still so early. Congrats to you all on your BFPs Flowers

Indigogirl88 · 21/02/2020 07:48

So I did a test this morning (one week since last test) and the line seems a little fainter why why did I do that!? I'm hoping its just because it's a cheap test that the lines can vary and the old test has dried. I may just get a digital at the weekend anyway to check it still says 3+ having said that weve got a scan on Tuesday for reassurance anyway

ablisha · 21/02/2020 12:15

Hi ladies

I got my BFP this morning! Woo! When did people refer themselves for antenatal care?

Thanks

3isthemagicnumber3 · 21/02/2020 12:15

Having some spotting today, I am 5w 6d, really worried.

Catherine1210 · 21/02/2020 12:52

@3isthemagicnumber3 big hugs try not to worry, easy to say I know. I had brown spotting and one episode of red blood for 19 days, it’s only just stopped. Had my bloods checked and everything is looking ok. If you are really worried or it gets heavier go to a&e. They referred me to gynae at the hospital who did an internal check, they can sometimes see bruising or abrasion on your cervix and give you an explanation as to why there’s brown spotting 🤗 it’s not always a cause of concern but I know how feel as I was the same and worried

Catherine1210 · 21/02/2020 12:52

*14 days

3isthemagicnumber3 · 21/02/2020 13:07

Thanks Catherine 1210, u know what it’s like everything comes crashing down and my anxiety is through the roof. As I am only 5.6 weeks I don’t think a scan would see much just yet so trying to sit it out and take it easy today. Will see how it goes over the weekend and will contact them next week if it carries on X

Prachi123 · 21/02/2020 13:45

I am 31 and I am 5 weeks pregnant.. I am really worried about my baby's health and I have done binge drinking 8times in the last month (sister's marriage) and some smoking also...this is a completely unplanned pregnancy and I have not been taking folic acid (just started yesterday after finding out)
I have been reading that spine and brain development starts in the 3rd week itself. I am so worried and I have a scan planned next week.. I really don't know what to do and should I continue with the pregnancy.. I am married for 3 years and while this is a great news for me and my husband, the thought of harm I have done for my baby is making me restless.. it will be really helpful if anyone can share some experiences.. I am so so worried
