Morning no I've got a 14 and 12 year old with my ex, this is my partners first and to be honest this is my first where we will do it together. My ex husband wasn't great and I was basically a single parent. I'm 35 now so think I worry more than when I was younger. Going to be hard going back to no sleep 😂😂 xxx

MrsCl19 · 29/03/2020 15:39

@Nic20052007
Awh that's lovely! Least you'll have some helpers!
My dd is 2 so will be a few months of 3 when I have this one. Counting down the days till Thursday now!

Nic20052007 · 29/03/2020 17:17

Yes it's a lovely age gap, my daughter was 2 when my son was born and they were the best of friends till she turned 8 and her hormones started 😂😂. Aw me too, we started prepping babies room today, trying to keep busy with being off work 😩 xx

Hi everyone Wink new to this and expecting my first baby in October. I’m late 40s and had embryo transfer in Spain. First cycle I had a blighted ovum and only found out at 7 week scan. Second cycle didn’t take. So third time lucky! I’m 11 weeks now and still feel quite sick and tired but I think it’s easing a bit. Had a 7 week scan and baby there with strong heartbeat- which was emotional and exciting! But worried now that I’m in isolation - missing seeing my family and friends in person..x

Nic20052007 · 29/03/2020 21:22

Aw wow that's lovely news, congrats. Sorry for your previous losses. Its very tough. But a rainbow baby is definitely worth waiting for. Just take good care of yourself and enjoy the relaxing time x

Samsung2011 · 29/03/2020 21:54

Hi please could I get added to the FB group for October 2020 babies all new to this. Plus I haven't told anyone but with it being a private group would love to share a few thing.

alynaM · 29/03/2020 21:59

Hello all! I'm a first time mum - a Brit but moved to the US a year ago. I'm due October 19th. I have PCOS so didn't think it would happen for a while- got my BFP on Valentine's Day!
My main symptom has been fatigue... I could sleep all day and all night. At least that's one positive about being in self isolation right now. My other one is a bit more annoying; I have the worst metallic taste in my mouth that won't go away. Puts me off trying to eat anything. Struggle to stay hydrated too I just have this excess of saliva that tastes like metal and makes me want to throw up.

Mp0304 · 30/03/2020 09:41

Hi is anyone else nervous for their 12 week scan? I have nothing to make me feel nervous but I still am! Have a very good scan at nearly 8 weeks where we saw a healthy heart beat! As well as a super early at 6 weeks with a heart beat! I've had nausea from week 7- just starting to fade off now however still decides to show now and again, I also have had the worst sore nipples and huge boobs and tiredness, has my booking appointment and bloods all good, but still super nervous! Keep talking to little one!
I have attached a scan picture as I haven't been able to stop looking at them lately!

CoraP · 30/03/2020 10:16

Hello! This is my first pregnancy - 12 weeks pregnant yesterday! Due October 12thSmile I have my scan on Wednesday, attending alone as per new hospital guidelines Sad please can I be added to the Facebook group I would really like to connect with other people at the same stage of their pregnancy.

MrsCl19 · 30/03/2020 12:32

Wow lots of new ladies to join which is lovely! I'm not currently on a fb group as i was waiting till I'd had my scan, so if you do get added I will then if not we could create our own :)

Nic20052007 · 30/03/2020 13:45

Only 3 more days to go... I'm bloated today and feel like I'm a whale. Struggle to go to the loo properly now, I take pre natal vitamins so that probably doesn't help.
What time is your appointment Thurs? Mines 11.30 🤗.
I've asked to join the Facebook group too, not heard anything as yet. It's nice that we can all go through this journey together x

JC084 · 30/03/2020 13:49

2 weeks 1 day until my scan. Not heard whether husband can come with me or not but assume he won't be able to. Do you need to call them to check? The hospital website doesn't mention scans where it lists their updated rules.
Time is moving slowly - just want to have scan so I can hopefully stop worrying so much

FarmerWantsABaby · 30/03/2020 18:59

@Nic20052007 I was very constipated (sorry 🙈) and bloated from the pregnacare I was taking. I started taking a glass of prune juice in the morning and at night, and a table spoon of Lactulose (from a local pharmacy) twice a day. It really helped me.

@JC084 my scan is next week, nothing about attending alone and have checked their website, nothing. I think I'm still going to go alone and FaceTime DH from the car

MrsCl19 · 30/03/2020 19:59

@Nic20052007 eeek countdown on! Mines 8:40am so I'm first scan of the day. Dreading drinking all that water I'm currently weeing for Britain.

@JC084 @FarmerWantsABaby my hospital has just announced all appointments alone and if your giving
Birth you can only have a birthing partner for active labour as soon as the baby is born they have to leave.

JC084 · 30/03/2020 20:03

@FarmerWantsABaby @MrsCl19 thanks both 😊 it's so sad but it makes sense... x

WestyNottingham · 30/03/2020 20:52

Hello! I’m popping in from the October 2020 Facebook group to say hi and let you know how to join. Can you PM me the email address you use for Facebook? I can add you that way without us needing to be FB friends. Hope you come over, it’s a lovely group!

CoraP · 30/03/2020 21:38

Thank you @WestyNottingham I have sent you a PM with my email

Nic20052007 · 31/03/2020 00:43

Aw don't when I had my private scan the pain is unreal when you need it so bad. I've always had a weak bladder never mind now I'm pregnant ha. Good luck hun. I'm going to video it for my partner and he will wait in the car, at least he's seen the baby at the previous scan, still sad for him though x

85NM · 31/03/2020 06:46

@StrawberriCream I'm so sorry to hear this x

85NM · 31/03/2020 06:47

@Pippop21 congratulations!!! X

85NM · 31/03/2020 06:55

Good morning all! Feel like I've missed alot.
Hello to the new joiners! The fb group is called 8481 club and the profile picture is of a bush with purple flowers.

How's everyone doing?
Finally have my booking in bloods today as had my booking over the phone and my NT scan is on Tuesday...feel like this will be the longest week of my life! 12 weeks tomorrow feeling so blessed but still alil nervous. Just feels weird having scans every 2 weeks then having nothing for 4 untill 12 week scan.

I just can't wait to tell DD!

Anyone have any adversions or cravings? I have none lol

85NM · 31/03/2020 07:05

Ok have no clue why it's calling NT scan neurologically typical lol.

Anyone been identified as high risk from booking in? Have no clue what to expect from obstetrician. Appointment is booked for June.
I'm high risk due to pcos, endometriosis and adenomyosis. I think maybe they will sway towards a c section due to previous section and my surgeries from above conditions.

Has anyone had confirmation that they can bring someone to 12 week scan?

Kelc87 · 31/03/2020 07:15

Hello everyone!

So i avoided joining until i had my 12 week scan which was yesterday. After having one at 6 weeks and another at 9+4 due to a previous mmc and currently having cin3 following an abnormal smear.

Anyway those waiting for their scans exciting times! I wont lie it is very surreal at hospital at the minute yes you have to go it alone but my unit allowed me to facetime partner during the scan which was nice.

I was petrified as im sure some of you are also because i also lost all of my symptoms over night at roughly 9 /10 weeks so when i saw baby yesterday growing away as should be and brought forward again another day i was over the moon so those worrying about no or lack of symptoms plesse dont worry i got myself into a right state and all was fine! The fluid the measure of the neck i was dreading but also that was fine and well below any cause for concern.

As soon as i figure out how to post a picture ill pop the scan up ha ha :)

85NM · 31/03/2020 10:33

@Kelc87 that's lovely they let you facetime! Yes same boat symptoms eased around 10 weeks but I read that's quite common due to placenta taking over.

Re CIN111 will they just repeat colposcopy after birth?
