Got to go back in a week. They can't see anything - just an empty sack which would bring us to much earlier but they can't say we've lost it yet either, the lady said we are probably right with thinking we've lost it but can't confirm

Supper16 · 16/03/2020 12:39

Hi everyone! There are a few October 2020 pregnancy threads on Mumsnet and so some of us have migrated onto a Facebook group. It's secret and private, so your real life friends won't see that you've joined it, or see anything you post or comment there. I am in one for my first baby and it's definitely easier to keep track of conversations, form relationships and of course share lots of squishy baby photos once they start arriving! If you're interested in joining us, message me, @Treaclepie19, @westynottingham, @charlottees89 or @Wintergal (or all of us!!) and one of us will add you.

otterbaby · 16/03/2020 12:39

@StrawberriCream so sorry to hear that 😞 fingers crossed your dates were just a bit off. Will be thinking of you x

BooMamaBear · 16/03/2020 15:49

oh @StrawberriCream -I'm hoping you are not as far along as you thought and you'll be able to see it next week!!

StrawberriCream · 16/03/2020 15:54

I had positive pregnancy test 01/02 so something isn't right. Just got to wait it out. Ive bled for almost 6 days now so it's not like I didn't know I just didn't realise we would have to reattend

FarmerWantsABaby · 16/03/2020 16:37

Aw @StrawberriCream I'm sorry this is happening. I'm hoping for a positive outcome but I think you're similar to me, I always prepare for the worst to try and protect myself. Have you took another test? Probably not the right advice to give but when I bled I started taking a test every day to see if the line would fade or remain strong etc. Sounds silly but it kept me sane.

MrsCl19 · 17/03/2020 05:03

@StrawberriCream sending lots of love 💕

Indigogirl88 · 17/03/2020 07:00

@StrawberriCream sending lots of hugs Flowers

Indigogirl88 · 17/03/2020 07:30

What's everyones thoughts this morning regarding the latest on coronovirus? As Boris has now included pregnant women. I havent told my boss yet I'm pregnant but my scan is next Thursday so dp said perhaps do what I can till Thursday and all being well tell my boss Friday, but that seems like a long way away and things are changing so quickly I just wondered what other peoples experience is?

Catherine1210 · 17/03/2020 08:16

@StrawberriCream I’m thinking of you lots xxx

Catherine1210 · 17/03/2020 08:19

@Indigogirl88 I’m self employed working in the events industry, I’ve had 50% of my work cancelled already and looking like it’ll be totally cancelled by the end of the week Confused

Thankfully I don’t have a big mortgage and my partner can cover essential bills, I’m sure there will be others that suffer more. If all work is cancelled then I will opt to stay at home more and away from group gatherings but not sure I could totally self isolate for 12 weeks Shock what’s everyone else’s thoughts?

FarmerWantsABaby · 17/03/2020 08:31

@Indigogirl88 no one knows I am either. I'm a teacher and have 30 in my class so I'm extremely nervous about going back to work. I don't want to. I'm only in the school temporary so I won't get paid after 8th May when my contact ends (I'm supposed to be staying until June but contract says May). So it all sucks massively. I still think schools need to close despite all of that.

Indigogirl88 · 17/03/2020 08:52

Oh god what a nightmare for all of us, at least those of us employed may be able to tell our bosses soon, really feel for those who are only 4 or 5 weeks itll feel like a lifetime.

@FarmerWantsABaby my dp said he could help cover bill's just about but we are in the process of selling a house so it's all up in the air

BooMamaBear · 17/03/2020 16:37

Sending hugs @StrawberriCream xx

MrsCl19 · 19/03/2020 10:02

Morning ladies how's everyone? I'm usually pretty chilled but all this panic is making me quite anxious 😥 I'm working from home but with dd as her nursery has closed- not easy at all

Indigogirl88 · 19/03/2020 10:56

Same here and im really anxious as I'm new to my job and havent told them yet I'm preggers.

We all need to send virtual hugs Cake

Catherine1210 · 19/03/2020 11:22

Morning everyone! I’m still working for the moment, I’m one of the lucky ones who hasn’t had self employed work cancelled yet. So whilst it’s there, I will do it. Keeping distance from people and using lots of sanitiser.

Think I’m counting days left that my work will be there though, it won’t be long until it stops.

Does everyone else think a lock down is definitely coming? Surely that has to be the next steps.

My first NHS scan is on 14th April, do you think the scans will still be going ahead? Is it classed as essential if the NHS did go into a crisis?

MrsCl19 · 19/03/2020 11:25

@Catherine1210 mine is April 2nd and I've heard there only allowing mum no partner. I'm going to ring the day before and check

Indigogirl88 · 19/03/2020 11:40

Mines next Thursday and I was thinking of ringing from Monday to check, I'll keep you posted!

Its really uncertain times I feel really anxious at the moment and I'm not usually an anxious person!

BooMamaBear · 19/03/2020 12:33

Mine's 31st March but as I'm having CVS as well as a scan not just just a scan they've said it's classed as necessary so it will be going ahead on time and that my DH is allowed with me too as it often makes me quite sick after!! I feel really nervous about his job tho as if the supply chain from Europe dries up they'll have to close for a while and although he's salaried not hourly paid there's no guarantee he'll get paid for all the closure!!

Catherine1210 · 19/03/2020 13:13

Ahh I’m kicking myself I pushed my scan back a week as DH couldn’t make original scan, I should have stuck with that date.

Hoping everyone will get to their scans ok!

Awww @BooMamaBear hope scan goes well and I share your worry. I won’t be bringing any money in if my self employed work is cut, so will be relying on DH so I’m now worrying about his manufacturing job too. He can work from home and is thankfully not on the manufacturing floor. so should carry on with full pay even if the factory is closed, but it’s very worrying and uncertain times isn’t it!

Big hugs all around xx

co4228 · 19/03/2020 18:11

@Catherine1210 I think scans are going ahead as normal as far as I am away

85NM · 19/03/2020 18:45

How's everyone doing? My booking in appointment is now over the phone tomorrow and they will be advising me further re tests/bloodwork and my scan.

Indigogirl88 · 20/03/2020 12:01

Hi ladies hows everyone doing?

I'm sending dp out for a chippy lunch to try and sort out this isolation!

I am feeling pretty sick today so some carbs should hopefully sort me out.

I'm planning a long walk at the weekend to get out for a bit and try and get some fresh air. What's everyone else plans this weekend?

I've decided to hold off telling my boss till closer to the 20 week scan, I just dont feel comfortable yet, but I'll also speak to the midwife (when I have one!) To see what she says

MrsCl19 · 21/03/2020 06:29

@Indigogirl88 good idea! Love a good chippy tea!

You might want to just double check gov website and see what the latest you can tell your employer is.... I think this covid business will give you some time though!

Is everyone working? I'm working from home as I'm lucky enough to do so but not sure how long I'll actually need to as my project isn't really important.

On a pregnancy note my boobs are killing me! They'd deffo grown and just so painful 😩 other than that nausea seems to be settling now! 1w 5 days till my scan! cannot wait!
