October 2020 babies

Hi all,

I am ftm nearly 6 weeks pregnant and have due date of 12/10/2020 ☺️ . Wanted to have mums who are expecting baby in October 2020 to share their journey experience.

@MrsCl19 -thanks so much - I'm now 8+4 my test should be 3 weeks tomorrow if they can do it then that's when it's booked for!!

How is everyone doing? We must have some 12w scans coming up?

@MrsCl19 mines not till the 26th when I'll be 11+4 I'm getting excited though and counting down the days, just want that reassurance now. I'm dreading telling work though, I feel so bad! Has anyone here told work yet?

@Indigogirl88 no I'm going to wait until the scan, my manager has a lot on work/personal so don't want to stress her out. My contract ends in Nov though so good timing for my really

My scans the 2/4 I'm counting down the days 🤣

Had some bleeding and cramps this evening but my local epu is only 8-8 and the other unit won't see women under 16 weeks so got a wait till I can call tomorrow. Trying not to overthink

@StrawberriCream hope you're ok, sending a virtual hand hold till morning x

They told me just to monitor it, call back if it gets worse. Just feel on edge while trying to tell myself if they aren't too concerned it's a good idea to just try and relax and see what happens

Hi ladies just an update, had my viability scan yesterday and there's a wee peanut with a very strong heartbeat there 💓 🥰 7 weeks +2 today which makes me due around 28th October.
Midwife appt in two weeks so will have a better idea of dates etc then.

Stay positive @StrawberriCream have you had any more bleeding?

@StrawberriCream have you rang again? I think I if you're still bleeding I'd try get epu to see you

@MrsCl19 she said to call back if it gets worse but it just seems sort of the same - I'm 10 weeks so I know if we are loosing baby there's not anything they can do. Going to see how I get along tonight and call again in the morning, don't want to hassle them but also want to know what I'm dealing with.

How's everyone feeling? I'm still feeling a bit sicky but it's manageable! My main thing is I'm so tired at night, as soon as dd goes to bed at 6:30 I go to bed 😴😴😴

@MrsCl19 -I nap in the day otherwise I'd be going to bed with DD at 7pm! I can't go to bed that early as I feel sick from 3pm-8pm ish so I can't have dinner til after then!! My boobs are so sore going in the bath ( coz I don't wear a bra in the bath obvs) is painful but coz if the water pressure going in the shower is excruciating! I'm going in the bath then washing my hair over the bath!! I have to wear a night time nursing bra too just so I can sleep! Xx

Anyone else still absolutely bricking it incase something goes wrong? Or am I a complete psycho? 7 weeks +5 today and I'm considering a private scan at 9 weeks because I am completely petrified of a missed miscarriage 😢 the fear is magnified given the fact I may have miscarried a twin a few weeks ago 🙈 please tell me we're all the same!!

@FarmerWantsABaby I've been bleeding since Tuesday, it started off fairly light but has got increasingly worse. Earliest they will see me is Monday unless I need to go to a+e. I'm not, expecting good news and am absolutely heart broken. Feel like as I am before 12 weeks they don't care as there is nothing they can do. And unless Im loosing enough blood for it to be an emergency won't see me. It's been the longest few days.

@StrawberriCream that's sounds horrible I'm so sorry that is happening you. If I was you I'd be lying and saying I'm in a lot of pain, to make sure I get seen in a&e. Sounds awful but I would. I was bleeding for 10 days (very heavy on one particular day) and was 3-4 weeks. Out of hours dr and a&e didn't want to see me. Turns out I may have lost a twin (which is why I can't relax now). But it's a disgrace how the whole thing is being handled for you. ❤️

@StrawberriCream -I'm so sorry hun hope you get some good news on Monday one of my friends bled a lot in early pregnancy and they couldn't find a reason why now the baby is now a healthy 4 year old!! How far along are you? Xx

@marauder1994 I’ve been so quiet on here sorry! Thought I’d reply to the how’s everyone feeling comment. I’m all good here, no sickness or nausea but veeeeerrrrryyy tired. I can’t stay up passed 8pm if I haven’t had a nap after work! I had an early private scan at 7 weeks 6 days and measured exactly that! Which they said takes me to 14th October for due date now.

I’m 9.5 weeks now and I have my NHS scan booked for 13weeks 6 days. Does anyone else have there’s that late?? Just thinking about screening for some abnormalities can only be done up until 14 weeks so feels like they’re cutting it fine booking me in then.

@Indigogirl88 my anxiety has seemed to level off now but it was awful the first few weeks. So hopefully yours will improve too. I haven’t done anything different, I just guess I’m thinking each week that goes by our little babies are stronger. Keep thinking positive thoughts x

@StrawberriCream just read your post now. I’m so sorry to hear about the bleeding. There are lots of cases where women bleed and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. I’ll be wishing the same for you. Thinking of you x

I was 10 weeks last Tuesday. Thanks for all the well wishes and kind thoughts, I don't feel the same anymore, all my symptoms are gone. I don't feel like I can present at a+e, that doesn't feel right to me as I know there isn't anything they can do at this stage, I would be wasting resources that someone else could need. Luckily Monday doesn't seem so far away now and my husband is so supportive. We are ready as we can be for the worst news but still clinging onto the tiniest sliver of hope. I feel like all I've done is cry the last few days and consistently check for large clots (sorry tmi) I will update after scan Monday morning but I honestly feel like it's all over. Wishing all the rest of you the best of luck

Hello ladies, I'm new to this! This is first baby, due October 20th. I'm so excited but definitely struggling with with tiredness. I've been sleeping 8/9 hours a night and napping after work for an hour. Congratulations to you all ♥️✨
