Yaay good news @85NM due dates are so close! NHS site put me 12th, early scan said 7th, and midwife said 10th! So I won't know until the dating scan officially

Minster2012 · 02/03/2020 14:00

@85NM that’s great news! It must be lovely seeing that!! Can’t wait!

I’ve just done a couple of hours cleaning after having raced around the supermarket at 8am with DS Before he went to my parents (walked dogs first at 7.15) and I’m shattered but still got stuff to do as only one of 2 days off 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️Just want to chill!!

Also looked at my pregnant notes booklet & the boxes are so small for someone like me with a lot of medical issues 😥they’ll be a lot of explaining to do!

85NM · 02/03/2020 15:56

@Indigogirl88 and @Minster2012 thank you!

The next 4 weeks will hopefully fly by. With my ds I didn't have any scans at all not even private, unsure how I managed that! My first scan on 17th I was 5 weeks 1 day so slightly ahead this time. They say 7/8 weeks to 12 are the best time for dating as untill then growth rates are the same.

@minister2012 it never stops does it! Mum life eh

FarmerWantsABaby · 02/03/2020 17:14

Anyone absolutely shitting themselves any time there's even the slightest cramp in their lower belly?
I'm not cramping a lot but get the odd one here and there, like a mild period cramp. I know it's normal but I'm literally running to the toilets each time to check for blood 🙈 I have become so irrational.

firstpregnancy20 · 02/03/2020 18:01

@FarmerWantsABaby I also feel the same..I don't have cramps but you know that feeling when you are about to get periods.. and I keep checking frequently.. I would say don't worry that much..!

SomethingAboutYou · 02/03/2020 18:07

With you @FarmerWantsABaby on the checking for blood everytime there's a twinge or anything feels different. I keep expecting AF to show and almost feel surprised to see that I really am pregnant when there's none!

Congrats @85NM that sounds great, not long to go for your 12 week scan.

My booking in appointment isn't until the 19th March so won't have a scan date for weeks. Feels like aaaaages away!

FarmerWantsABaby · 02/03/2020 18:23

Glad I'm not the only one 😂

How's everyone's symptoms?

I feel very nauseous but haven't actually been sick yet. I also can eat ok, but I get these small waves of nausea in my stomach at times. I also feel really dry at the back of my throat no matter how much water I drink! And my mouth is full of saliva 🙄

StrawberriCream · 02/03/2020 19:44

Anyone else nervous about telling their families? I already have 3 girls from previous relationships - we have been married 10months but feel like I'm going to get the wrath of judgement / the are you trying for a boy - what if its a girl will you keep going? Add to that that we live in a small 3 bed house (saving hard for something bigger) also really nervous about telling work as I'm waiting till after 12 week scan - another lady just announced she's pregnant and they got a bit funny asking why she didn't tell them earlier.

BooMamaBear · 02/03/2020 20:21

Hey girls ok if I join I'm 7+4 today and I'm due second week inOctober I think but I have requested not to know my exact due date as I have to have CVS at 11 weeks to check the baby is not affected by a devastating genetic condition it's a 1 in 2 chance - I've already lost 2 little boys due to this but do have a healthy 4 yo DD!

Got my dating scan at 10am tomorrow feeling pretty nervous now girls hope my little bean is doing ok? I also get the date for my 11 week CVS test too which decides if I can proceed with this pregnancy or not!! Xx

Minster2012 · 02/03/2020 21:24

@FarmerWantsABaby I’m on knicker watch too! I’m not so worried about twinges I think they are good but def checking each wipe 🙄😬I think it’s only natural when you have tried so hard or had problems /your first etc

@StrawberriCream I am also worried about telling my family, we have a DS who took a lot of getting (my best friend carried for us) & I have a lot of historical health problems which I manage very well but all in theory carry risks for pregnancy (steroid deficiency which means I should avoid stress & sickness usually leads to hospital stays, bowel surgeries means I may have to have c section, 2 sets of lymph nodes removed means I have lost a third of my immune system, I’ve had 2 blood clots before & that’s not without the malignant melanoma lurking I still need to have some sort of pregnancy safe scanning for (& hope it doesn’t make it grow again) 😬so much parents have made it perfectly clear when we did more embryo creating that they didn’t agree with me trying to carry a child due to risk to MY health and I stated to them “I’ve talked to each of my teams & they say it poses no more risk to me, in theory, it would just need to be closely managed so it wouldn’t stop us”

So yeah, I’m worried as I know they will be worried about my health. Also my brother’s girlfriend is due end of april, their first, 3 hours away from us. So timing wise not ideal.

Our in laws will be happy, my MIL asked if I stopped my treatment would this mean we could try, and I said we would discuss it...but they already have 4 grandsons all 3 & under (ours is number 2) & another grandson on the way in may so they won’t really be fussed!! 😂🤣

Minster2012 · 02/03/2020 21:26

& hi @BooMamaBear welcome! That sounds like a tough situation, so your scan tomorrow is your dating one?
🤞🏻All is well for your CVS xx

FarmerWantsABaby · 02/03/2020 22:26

@Minster2012 knicker Watch 😂 that's exactly what I'm on. Hoping twinges and cramps are a good sign. Just scaring the life out of because 2 weeks ago I took really bad cramps and had to go to the toilet 💩 😬 and was also throwing up 🙈 bled particularly heavy that day (I thought I was on AF) and found out a few days later I was 4 weeks pregnant with a very strong positive. The nurse said it may have been a twin that I miscarried and I am SO scared of that feeling coming back again! 🙈 hoping this little prawn 🍤 has a heart beat developed for next weeks scan 😬🙏🏻

MrsCl19 · 03/03/2020 06:15

Woooow yesterday I started with a slightly nauseous feeling today it's like a tonne of bricks 🤢🤢 to the shop for ginger biscuits it is 🤢

Indigogirl88 · 03/03/2020 06:45

Hi all I've had cramps on and off since my missed af, literally exactly the same as mild period cramps. I asked the midwife who obviously said they're completely normal. So I've tried to relax a bit about them.

I too have felt sick but not actually been sick, food is a struggle though, all I'm doing is snacking in between meals as soon as I feel slight nausea and it's been helping.

I'm 8+1 today I tend to have a good day then bad day at the moment.

I know 12 weeks is so long for us, but we paid £80 for a private early scan and with this being our first it was the best £80 ever spent to put our minds at rest.

Hows everyones dh and dp been?

MrsCl19 · 03/03/2020 07:39

@Indigogirl88 yes I'm doing the same with the nausea, and it's keeping it at bay so far.

This is #2 for us we have a dd who is 2, dh is just so excited 🤣 I think he thinks it will be a boy though so I just keep saying it's deffo a girl 🤣

FarmerWantsABaby · 03/03/2020 07:46

@MrsCl19 I woke up this morning nearly heaving. I'm not actually throwing up but I feel like I'm about to all the time. I might have to pop into the shops this morning too for some ginger biscuits 😬

MrsCl19 · 03/03/2020 07:59

@FarmerWantsABaby with dd I had to eat one as soon as I woke up before I even sat up it was awful, it's put me off them but they do help

firstpregnancy20 · 03/03/2020 08:05

@FarmerWantsABaby +1.. I feel nauseated all the time.. its not just morning sickness, it is afternoon ..evening.. Everytime! I am not able to focus on work just want to sleep and watch friends all the time.
The smell of food specially if anyone is cooking makes me sick... I had no symptoms earlier and suddenly from last 3 days it is going crazy..

Minster2012 · 03/03/2020 08:29

@Indigogirl88 I’m getting quite a lot of cramps and some of them quite like stabby pains that make me go “ooo and double over in a bit of pain” when I go like that DH is all “are you ok?” But other than that & not letting me lift the log basket it’s business as usual here...though I swear he’s finding me more attractive! 😂I’m only 6 weeks though & nothing showing I’ve even lost a bit of weight.

I’m starting to feel a bit sick mainly in the evenings too, but I tend to cook for our meal for when DS eats at 5-5.30, then prepare DH & my lunch for next day & reheat our food so it’s a bit constant food 🤮🤢really

I’ve bought some rubies crackerbread things to put by our bed in case if morning sickness!

Minster2012 · 03/03/2020 10:34

Not rubies, ryvita! 🙈

@SomethingAboutYou I understand what your saying but frankly I think you need to be a bit more considerate to others that are extremely anxious. Comments like that can really affect people. I don't want to sound rude but in a due in group with my dd a girl went through bad mh from people saying blunt comments

I wouldn't worry to much at this stage symptoms will come and go

BooMamaBear · 03/03/2020 17:08

I was feeling sick 3pm til 8pm but last few days I've not been too bad I didn't feel sick yesterday til I went to bed and i'm doing ok today so far!
@Minster2012 -yes today was my dating scan I'm exactly as far along as I thought 7+5 but I haven't worked out and requested not to know my EDD unless I know baby is ok! My little bean is doing fine so far and heartbeat is strong they've booked my CVS for 31st March but said they may have to do it a week later as she thinks the placenta may grow on the back wall which makes CVS more difficult but wouldn't affect the baby if it's ok! Xx

SomethingAboutYou · 03/03/2020 17:14

@MrsCl19 You're right and I've asked them to remove it. Shutting off and looking at things in black and white is my only coping mechanism, and this afternoon I was in a very sad place. With DS I had non-stop nausea for weeks.

Lmt31 · 03/03/2020 17:21

Hi! Glad to finally joined.
I've been reading yous but now that I'm in will be so much easier.
I'm actually 9w+6 (due date october 5th) and feeling sick since week 5. It started just like nausea and now I'm getting used to vomit 2 to 3 times a day. Any time, sometimes I have good days that it means that I can eat and mild nausea. I'm getting lots of headaches most of the time at night, bad sleep, stomach pain (I think maybe cause the acid) and sciatic pain, don't know why. I have Dr appointment to get all the test for my week 12 and I hope she can help with all my symptoms.
Is hard to feel happy when your are feeling so sick, so I'm counting the days to get better.
