Minster2012 · 28/02/2020 08:27

Hi ladies can I join too please? I got my BFP last week after IVF so I’m on an IVF thread too 5 weeks today Or 5.5 weeks due to the stage of embryo put in, I think that makes DUe D 25th oct or maybe bit later 🤷‍♀️Maybe 👻

Already have a DS but I didn’t actually carry him so pregnancy new to me, my best friend did as a surrogate for us (our embryo so genetically ours) he’s 19 months & a BIG handful & with 2 v active dogs I’m very scared as I have lots of health problems still so my midwife appointment no doubt will take agggeeeeesssss! 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈those health/medication boxes are v small but I got the ok from all my medical teams to go ahead with the IVF but really scared!

We’ve done the IVF in secret only 2 friends know til we get over the hurdles

I’ve been lurking & reading!
So pleased @FarmerWantsABaby you got good news, so you are around same time as me! Congrats!!

FarmerWantsABaby · 28/02/2020 12:47

Thanks so much everyone.
Some mild, dull cramping and a lot of bloating. Trying not to get worried about cramps but I can't help myself. Running to the toilet all day checking 🙈 these next two weeks are so scary. Avoiding EVERYTHING these next two weeks; caffeine, eggs, mayo etc I'm just so scared 😬

StrawberriCream · 28/02/2020 15:45

Anyone else unreasonably horny?? I mean the husband isnt complaining but I just can't get enough atm

MrsCl19 · 28/02/2020 19:08

@Minster2012 welcome and congratulations! It's so hard when your not telling anyone as you want to shout it from the roof tops 🤣

@StrawberriCream nope I wish I was but TMI I'm seriously suffering with piles my beautiful dd left me with 😩🤣

AprilRose4 · 28/02/2020 20:59

Hi!!! Just found I am about 6 weeks pregnant after feeling unwell for a few weeks. It was a relief to be pregnant as I thought I had something terrible wrong with me!
Due around 18/10/20. Need to contact me dr and get an appointment with the midwife, super scared as it all feels so early doesn’t it?! X

AprilRose4 · 28/02/2020 21:04

What’s with the food aversions?? I love tea and the thought of making a cup makes me feel so ill! Missing biscuits too but I just can’t!!! X

Minster2012 · 28/02/2020 21:20

Haven’t got the horny thing but had some bloody good sex since finding out 🤣but that might be as part of the IVF process is firstly using condoms for months then no sex during the TWW and most ppl leave it longer

Minster2012 · 28/02/2020 21:20

I’m starting to get slight food aversions but not too bad

85NM · 29/02/2020 05:19

@Minster2012 and @AprilRose4 hi and congratulations!

@StrawberriCream omg sex is the last thing on my mind lol. I do feel slightly nervous about it. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis so I'm so paranoid that intercourse will cause me to me uncomfortable and bleed and I just feel I can't deal with the anxiety that comes with it at the moment. I think because this pregnancy I conceived 2 weeks after a miscarriage I really just want to listen to my body as well . Been ttc for over 4 years. Your oh must be loving it Grin

I've got another scan on Monday! So excited. Last 1 was 17th feb.

The irony of being so tired, but waking up at stupid o'clock to pee, boobies hurting...I'm going to attempt to go back to bed! I need to really invest in a sleep bra.

Minster2012 · 29/02/2020 09:09

Thank you @85NM I know what you mean about the worry about bleeding I was worried too, as we still have to use progesterone (up there at night) which can irate and cause some bleeding & I’m a bit paranoid about seeing bleeding & worrying so was worried about sex also doing that but thought oh well let’s try! & it’s been ok I’ve said it has to be very gentle 😂😂we are similar in that for us this pregnancy also costs a lot too 😥

My boobs are so sore!

AprilRose4 · 29/02/2020 10:41

Good luck with your scan!! 6 weeks feels like forever to wait for a scan for me x

StrawberriCream · 29/02/2020 15:05

I'm 9 weeks on Tuesday - seeing the midwife for the first time Thursday hoping to come away with a scan date!

Minster2012 · 29/02/2020 19:54

Ooo @StrawberriCream can I ask how you are feeling? Or any other 9/10 wheelers on the thread? We’ve just booked a 4 night center parcs break at 9/10 weeks for us & no doubt that will be key nausea time (prob would have been whenever we went 🙄) but just intrigued
I also don’t get my 12 week scan date until my midwife booking in appointment which isn’t til 19th March & seems an age away but for IVF we do get a viability scan first from our clinic which is 18th March so that’s the first hurdle 🤞🏻🤞🏻(Still seems ages away 😥)

StrawberriCream · 29/02/2020 20:35

@Minster2012 I'm feeling tired a lot. Generally only nasueas in the afternoon or evening or if I have gone a long time between meals

Minster2012 · 29/02/2020 21:53

That’s good to hear @StrawberriCream thank you 🤞🏻It continues for you like that or better, eat little & often x

marauder1994 · 01/03/2020 13:57

Anyone else concerned about this Coronavirus spreading and being pregnant?

MrsCl19 · 01/03/2020 14:51

@marauder1994 not really if you look at stats more people die from the common cold than they have the coronavirus.... all the media is doing it scaring people

Minster2012 · 01/03/2020 20:10

@marauder1994 I’m not massively concerned about the U.K. despite being pregnant & in other high risk groups due to having a weakened immune system but I’m trying to avoid going to the doctors if at all possible & ive bought antibacterial hand gel. But we aren’t risking flying abroad having just booked a holiday for near Easter when I will be still under 12 weeks I’m not going in a contained plane with strangers and our toddler (whilst potentially feeling 🤢🤮too!) That sounds like a nightmare 😬

SomethingAboutYou · 02/03/2020 07:17

To be honest, I am starting to have some concerns about Coronavirus. If it spreads in the UK then it is potentially very dangerous for us. I have asthma too, so couple that with a weakened immune system due to pregnancy, I wouldn't fancy my chances if I caught it.

FarmerWantsABaby · 02/03/2020 08:03

It's all predominantly down to hand washing and hygiene at the end of the day. Can't get hand sanitiser anywhere in my town! Everyone must have stocked up!
We have Portugal at the end of June and although I'm not massively concerned about COVID-19 just yet, I am very hesitant about this holiday 😬

SomethingAboutYou · 02/03/2020 08:15

We tried buying some more hand gel yesterday too and it is gone. There's a case in our town so I'm not surprised that everyone has stocked up! We're supposed to go to Fuerteventura end of April for a week. if things are like they are now we'll still go, but there's 6 weeks to go so we'll see what the travel recommendations will be by then.

Indigogirl88 · 02/03/2020 08:24

Hi all sorry for the radio silence I'm on the early october thread as well although my edd is around the 12th!

Welcome newbies congratulations and @Minster2012 what a journey to motherhood!

I'm not too worried about coronovirus but I've got asthma too but nothings been said further about pregnancy has it? I've got some hand sanitizer and washing my hands more anyway at the moment as I am having an issue with cooking and raw meat, anyone else?!

We are away at the moment in a log cabin and just enjoying a week off chilling, been poorly on and off and dh has been great but not enjoying the fatigue, says I'm always asleep at the moment!

85NM · 02/03/2020 13:01

Hey all,had my second scan today for heatbeat/dating and babies heart was beating away. Measured at 8 weeks 1 day due 11th october however I'm personally keeping to being 7 weeks 5 days as my miscarriage was 8th Jan. Such a huge relief today cried so much, so happy. Booked in direct with the midwifes whilst at the hospital rather than go through my GP. Feels alot more real now and feeling abit less anxious.Smile
