So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Treacle81 it's so funny what we start craving! Mine the past few evenings has been rice pudding! Not had any since being a child haha

LexiM · 21/02/2020 17:33

I’ve been hungry this week but really indecisive on what I want. Most of what I love I’m not fussed about. Also really gone off eating veg but still am because I know I should!

Cookiemonster19 · 21/02/2020 19:14

Feeling pretty miserable ☹️ non stop nausea and sickness. Can’t tolerate anything other than liquids and forcing myself to have one meal a day. Feel horrible being so ungrateful but feel like utter crap and it’s affecting my everyday life ☹️

SkyBlue20 · 21/02/2020 19:22

Just had my early scan! They dated me at 6 weeks rather than 7 (which I kind of expected as I’m pretty sure I got quite obvious ovulation pain and it was late in my cycle) but says all looks good and there was a nice strong heartbeat ☺️ Baby is only 3.8mm, so tiny! So relieved to know that everything is ok! 💕

purplecandyfloss · 21/02/2020 19:43

Wonderful news Skyblus

Indigogirl88 · 21/02/2020 19:51

@SkyBlue20 that's amazing news!

@LexiM snap for the food issues! I just had slice of cheese on toast and that was so good

I was getting worried at lack of symptoms, then I had a shower and oh god my boobs are hurting!

I know they say hcg increases by double over 48 hours but does anyone know whether it can even out during the day, for instance I feel totally fine in the morning then by the afternoon I feel crap at the moment, then I feel fine!

SkyBlue20 · 21/02/2020 19:54

One thing they did say at the scan - and they explicitly said not to worry about but I’ve Googled and heard horror stories so now I’m worrying - is that I appear to have a collapsed corpus Luteum. She was very emphatic about the fact that I shouldn’t worry but I’m reading that that’s needed until the placenta takes over and that if it’s collapsed I should be given progesterone?! Anybody had any experience with that? Gone from a high to worrying now!

LexiM · 21/02/2020 20:19

@skyblue20 glad the scan went well, I’m afraid I’ve never heard of what you’re talking about. They are experts and I would trust their advice to be correct, could you speak to your midwife at your appointment about it? Is that soon? It’s so hard not to worry about every little detail isn’t it.

@Indigogirl88
I always think keep quiet about the lack of symptoms! 😂 I was telling my mum how generally I felt good and was lucky to have hardly any sickness then felt awful this morning! I do still feel lucky compared to lots of you on here, I feel for everyone feeling so sick, must be so draining.

SkyBlue20 · 22/02/2020 07:12

Thanks @LexiM. I know it’s probably ok but I’m thinking I might call the midwife today just for a bit of clarity. I do t have a date for my next appointment yet and would rather know than worry.

MrsD1990 · 22/02/2020 07:33

@skyblue20 happy you saw the baby and heart beat!!! Totally understand on still wanting to double check with the midwife - it'll help to get clarity. In my experience of medical professionals they don't tend to sugar coat things so hopefully the info she gives you today will be able to put your mind at rest

SkyBlue20 · 22/02/2020 08:29

Just spoke to the midwife/what sounded like a receptionist who spoke to a midwife and they were beyond useless - basically said I’ll get more info at my dating scan and when I asked if there’s any risk to the baby she said ‘Urm, I don’t think so, no’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess if they don’t seem to be worrying about it then I shouldn’t either? 🤷🏻‍♀️

MrsB1821 · 22/02/2020 08:34

@SkyBlue20 that’s wonderful news! Remember to rest up and look after yourself! It will all be ok - is be the same in your shoes and I’d call the midwife / doctor for reassurance.

I’ve my scan this morning - excited x

SkyBlue20 · 22/02/2020 08:40

Thanks @MrsB1821 😘 Happy scan day, hope everything goes perfectly - I’m sure it will!

KADAQ1 · 22/02/2020 08:48

Just had private scan at 7 weeks. Exactly what I thought.
Has anyone read into the Ramzi theory for gender prediction?

Just wanted to post for those struggling with sickness and nausea - I had to go to the GP in the end and was prescribed anti-sickness tablets as I couldn’t keep a thing down and was struggling to go about day to day activities. So far, they’ve worked wonders! I’m still getting waves of sickness and the odd throwing up but completely bearable and nothing in comparison!

BooMamaBear · 22/02/2020 11:08

My sickness now starts about 2.30pm and last til 8 ish it's still better than last two pregnancies where it was all day! So now I just about manage to eat 3 times though the constant changing stomach pains make it difficult!! Xx

Nazly · 22/02/2020 11:10

Wonderful picture @@KKMK

I am losing any signs (not that I had many) and instead getting more and more period cramps - I am abroad and have no idea how to check what's going on .... but my got feeling is this may not stick either :(
I hope I am wrong

P.S for all those who are experiencing nausea etc; I know it's terrible but at least you know your little bean is safe and growing

Indigogirl88 · 22/02/2020 12:07

@BooMamaBear exactly the same for me re timing however I havent actually been sick yet, so I am a little worried whether my hcg is actually increasing or not

@Nazly how many weeks are you, I am getting cramps on and off and I'm going to discuss with my midwife at 1st appointment this week

BooMamaBear · 22/02/2020 13:15

@Indigogirl88 - I haven't been sick either but I wouldn't worry don't think that matters -1st time I didn't feel sick at all, 2nd time i felt sick all day and was sick, 3rd time felt sick all day but wasn't sick and this time so far feeling sick half a day but not been sick!! Every pregnancy is different! Xxx

Indigogirl88 · 22/02/2020 13:49

@BooMamaBear thanks hun, you have no idea how that much has reassured me!

I've got this thing where I'm hungry, but then dont actually fancy anything to eat

BooMamaBear · 22/02/2020 14:43

@Indigogirl88 - I know exactly what you mean I can eat breakfast and lunch ok but then for dinner I can't eat til after 8pm but the whole time I keep thinking of really nice things to eat coz I feel hungry but the thought of eating makes me worse! White chocolate magnums help settle my stomach! Xx

Indigogirl88 · 22/02/2020 14:51

@BooMamaBear oooh white chocolate Magnums....

Spark27 · 22/02/2020 16:11

@Indigogirl88 I wasnt sick at all with my DD (now 2.5yr old) and had a really great, easy pregnancy. When I went for my 12w scan I almost expected them to laugh and say it was just wind Grin

Now 8w with my 2nd and feeling awful. So nauseous. Every pregnancy is different, but I know which one I preferred at the mo!

No symptoms doesn't mean there are issues, but I know it doesn't stop you worrying. And everyone gets different symptoms. Sore boobs/tiredness/funny taste in mouth/cravings/nausea/headaches/discharge/mouth ulcers.....the list goes on. You don't have to experience them all, or any, or even notice you have them. I'm sure everything is fine xx

Lucylou37 · 23/02/2020 09:45

Happy Sunday lovely ladies! Hope you're all well! I haven't posted for a while, but wanted to share some of the symptoms I've been having! I'm coming up to week 8, and I don't suffer from bad sickness, which has panicked me! But when I wake I feel sick and get a headache until I eat! Anyone else? I also wake up feeling really blocked up, like I have allergies and keep sneezing! Apparently this is the hormones affecting the blood vessels in the nose! So weird!! Also, all I want to eat it carby foods... having to force myself to eat fruit and veg (I used to be a healthy eater)! How's everyone else feeling? Xxx

Treacle81 · 23/02/2020 10:34

@Lucylou37 Pretty much same as you! Also noticing more nausea at night, thankfully after dinner so can still eat. Got scan date in 31st March (partner’s birthday) so v exciting x
