So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi everyone how are you all doing? It seems weve all got a bit of a mixed bag in here but it's so nice to have everyones support, especially these early days!

I'm having a weird, am I even pregnant day? Not feeling much specifically other than a bit hungry so reaching for more food.

I spoke to dh about the tiredness this morning and I felt like I had to apologise and he was nice and supportive which made me feel a lot better.

We're both worried about money, I hope we arent the only ones!? Yes we were trying for a few months but it's still a shock and the reality of, is this house really big enough etc is starting to kick in. I'm trying to stay calm and practical about it, the house is okkkkk type thing but ahhhh!!!

SkyBlue20 · 20/02/2020 18:06

I am SO hungry ALL THE TIME, it’s really annoying me! It seems that when I get hungry I can’t eat fast enough and then feel nauseous if I don’t eat. Going to end up the size of a house at this rate! 😫

SkyBlue20 · 20/02/2020 18:12

@Indigogirl88 We we’re both panicking about money too - we have a bit squirrelled away but I co-own a small business and likely won’t be able to get any real mat pay as we’ll have to employ someone to cover for me and husband is freelance so there’s just that worry about where it’s going to come from! However we spent a couple of hours the other day working out projected finances for over mat leave, figured out how much more we need to save and now have a plan, which has made us feel much better!

SkyBlue20 · 20/02/2020 18:13

*were not we’re, bloomin’ autocorrect!

Nazly · 20/02/2020 19:18

@deej333 I could have written your post - all the signs you have and had are exactly like mine - I am week4 (D7) and I am worried too...

@mrsD1990 thanks so much Thanks this would be my second if it sticks and with my first the NMums clubs were absolutely amazing

I think we had antenatal clubs back then and there is one now too for October due dates

MrsD1990 · 20/02/2020 19:40

@deej333 and @nazly I had twinges and still am having brown spotting but it's apparently normal for my pregnancy. Worth seeing the doctor to check if it's normal for your pregnancy - I felt so much calmer after that reassurance but I would say see a medical professional to be sure.

Guys I have just come back from my private scan - I'm so happy! Little bean is measuring 7 weeks 2 days and we both saw and heard the heart beat!!! It was absolutely amazing, I was hoping we might see the heart beat but the fact we heard it too has me over the moon.

SkyBlue20 · 20/02/2020 19:47

Aww that’s so lovely, @MrsD1990! So pleased for you 💕 Is 7+2 about what you thought you were? Does it make it feel so much more real?

KADAQ1 · 20/02/2020 19:47

My booking appointment is booked for 17th of March.ill be 12 weeks then, I’m worried it’s to late

Nazly · 20/02/2020 19:49

@mrsD1990 that's amazing :) happy for you

I am over 40 yrs (by a bit) and my DS is 5.5 yes old - he was such a difficult birth and difficult baby we were completely put off by having a second until we nearly forgot the difficult days !!!

I had a couple of chemicals and given I am only 4 weeks now I am trying not to get super excited yet, at least until 6 weeks

How early can you do a private scan and how much does it cost ?

MrsD1990 · 20/02/2020 19:50

@SkyBlue20 I thought I was 7w1 from the apps, so just one extra day! I feel so happy things are going in the right direction - I was so so worried at the beginning but seeing this progress has really put me at ease. Can't wait for the baby to arrive ♥️

MrsD1990 · 20/02/2020 20:00

Hi @Nazly sorry we posted at the same time! Sorry to hear about your chemicals. You can book an early scan as early as 6 weeks. I got one at 5 weeks on my insurance because I was worried sick about the bleeding I was experiencing and the scan showed that everything was fine but you couldn't see anything really so wouldn't recommend unless you're worried (I was in bits I was so worried so I definitely needed the scan). If you wait until 7 or 8 weeks you will see more and maybe even see the heart beat. My insurance is about to run out so I researched prices and the best I found near me was £70 bit I've seen people on here get them as low as £40. Also heard of people getting Groupons, don't know for how much but must be cheaper than normal!

SkyBlue20 · 20/02/2020 20:01

Makes me so happy to hear that, @mrsd1990 💕 Hoping we get the same reassurance at our scan tomorrow 🤞🏼 Yay for progress!

@Nazly I believe you can do an early scan from six weeks but it’s recommended you wait until 7 or 8 as otherwise there’s a risk of not being able to see the heartbeat and that obviously can be quite worrying. We’ve paid £70 for ours.

SkyBlue20 · 20/02/2020 20:02

Should also say, @Nazly, that (after we’d booked ours 🙄) I found out they’re often on Groupon for about half the price so worth checking!

BooMamaBear · 20/02/2020 20:23

I get an 8 week scan on the NHS so not sure how much they cost but you can usually see the heart beat and a little bean with its food sac -at 9 weeks it's a bit harder to see the heart beat as well coz the bean is bigger!! Xx

Sweetcornsfirst · 20/02/2020 20:34

Found out I was pregnant on the 11th this month!
First baby so happy and excited! Me and partner have been trying for nearly 2 years.
Still no pregnancy symptoms really just was very gassy now at 5 weeks. Is this normal do I have anything to be worried about?

DressingGown87 · 20/02/2020 20:50

I’m here too with my unexpected BFP to No1 and going it alone 🙈 I’m 5 weeks, have my first scanned booked at 6 weeks, because of history of MC! Having really bad cramps (never had period cramps), sore boobs, headaches, nausea...

MrsB1821 · 21/02/2020 12:15

Clinic called and have had to rearrange my appointment for early scan - it’s now tomorrow!!! Starting to panic a bit - have read a few awful stories ( I know I shouldn’t have) just hope we see a heart beat - not sure we will as I’ll only be 7 +3.
Need positive vibes ladies... xx

Treacle81 · 21/02/2020 12:17

Congrats on all the new BFP’s 🤰❤️ Well that’s me 7+2 and the increased appetite and cravings have definitely started!! Seem to only be ok when eating! 🐷🍿🍟🍔 xx

bluemoon2468 · 21/02/2020 12:28

Anyone else just so done with early pregnancy? 🤢 For the last week or so have been feeling nauseous all day every day with no let up, vomiting at least 4-5 times per day, exhausted every waking minute (after sleeping about 10 hours every night) and just generally feeling like absolute crap. I feel bad moaning when there are so many women who would do anything to be pregnant, but this is so much worse than I had anticipated it being 😳

Indigogirl88 · 21/02/2020 12:36

@MrsB1821 sending positive vibes

Mine will be 7+2 on Tuesday so hoping for that heartbeat as well

@Treacle81 snap for the hunger!

I just rang the clinic re my fainter test and they told me not to worry (obviously) unless cramping worsens and I get any bleeding before Wednesday. Must keep distracted all weekend!

CouscousEvaporator · 21/02/2020 12:48

@bluemoon2468 I feel like that too. I hope you feel better soon. I’m looking forward to feeling better. I knew it would be tiring but I didn’t expect to wake up then half hour later need a nap because eating breakfast has knackered me out.

I also am swinging wildly between thinking there’s nothing in there and it’s twins 😅

Overall I am marvelling at how quick baby is growing according to the apps, and I’m very grateful to be pregnant, however the countdown to feeling well again is definitely on.

SkyBlue20 · 21/02/2020 12:48

Congrats to the new BFPs! 💕

@MrsB1821 Got my fingers crossed for you. The odds are stacked so much higher that everything is ok and it’s so exciting that you get to see your baby!

@Treacle81 Sounds familiar - if I’m hungry, Im REALLY hungry and I feel sick, so I’m constantly munching 🥪 What specificities cravings do you have?

@bluemoon2468 Sounds awful, you poor thing. Hope it lets up soon.

@indigogirl88 Get some nice relaxing plans in to try and take your mind off it. Sending positive vibes your way.

BooMamaBear · 21/02/2020 13:08

Congrats to all new BFP's x

MrsB1821 · 21/02/2020 13:12

Oh ladies -
Thinking of you all - It’s tough in so many ways!
@Treacle81 I’m ALWAYS hungry but then sometimes I think I can’t face eating though my stomach is like ‘FEED ME!’

Ps - thanks for the good vibes @Indigogirl88 and @SkyBlue20

Treacle81 · 21/02/2020 16:44

@SkyBlue20 I have had cereal with semi skimmed milk every morning (which would not have either of before) and seem to be craving burgers!! Could not tell you last time I had any veg 🤷‍♀️ I’m usually a healthy eater who can’t torelate cow milk!
