So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Lipgloss1031 your first appointment is the same date as mine. Feels SO far away doesn’t it! I keep flipping between being super chill and positive about it to being terrified something isn’t right, but the more I read on here the more it points out how normal and universal those feelings are. I haven’t told anyone but my boyfriend yet and I am just googling “5 weeks pregnant” non stop. Obsessed with the fact my body is actually growing a baby! How mental is that!?! So grateful to the bod.

Big massive congrats, joining you on the countdown to the 6th of March.

Does anyone have any idea what happens at your first appointment? I’ll be around 9 weeks by then. Xx

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 21:02

@Quiffy Defintely not too early for preggo brain!!! 🤚🏼

Treacle81 · 10/02/2020 05:52

Congrats to all the new BFPs ❤️ I have my midwife appointment on Thursday morning, I’ll fill you in afterwards x

MotherAughra · 10/02/2020 08:00

Morning!
Anyone having #2 and having totally different symptoms?

With DD I had sickness from waking to 2/3pm
I was feeling really rotten for the last week and sick a couple of days, but it's totally eased off yesterday and today and I now feel pretty normal, I'm 7+1

I had a miscarriage just before 7 weeks previously so I know I might be overly anxious about it Blush

Spark27 · 10/02/2020 08:32

@MotherAghura, I seem to be the opposite. With the DD I didn't really have any symptoms. Didn't really believe I was pregnant until I went for the 12w scan. I might have been more tired, but was free to nap whenever I wanted so didn't notice. This time I feel awful. So nauseous most of the day. Need to be eating all the time, but don't want to eat. Cant manage meals, just snacking. And now I have a 2 yo to look after. Super

Quiffy · 10/02/2020 08:50

@MotherAughra I've seen lots of people saying each pregnancy was totally different - everything from getting/not implantation bleeds, when they got to BFP to symptoms all the way through, so try not to worry

CouscousEvaporator · 10/02/2020 08:59

Hi everyone, haven’t posted in a bit as I’ve been feeling pretty terrible from about 4+4.
I’ve had to tell work as I have to keep running to the loo. I’ve got sickness and diarrhoea as symptoms, who knew that was a thing?!

In week 6 now so hopefully I’ll feel better soon. I’ve lost half a stone! I’m taking it as this being a strong little bean to take the edge off how shit it is😅

LaurenN23 · 10/02/2020 09:09

Hi everyone, I'm 5+4 today and after reading all your posts I'm getting a little worried that I'm not feeling any symptoms other than sore boobs. I don't feel sick or tired and I'm really starting to feel scared. I've been terrified since day 1 about awful things happening - anyone out there with just sore boobs?

Lipgloss1031 · 10/02/2020 10:11

Baby no1 for me! Is it for you??? aim heading back home for a few days next week so I will probably tell my best friend then! Oh god the nausea already, I cant reccomend anything as I havent had it yet! I just keep thinking where am I going to put the baby, where will the babies things go? Questioning everything I eat! I just keep thinking my mum winged it so as long as I do the same it will be fine. My boys like we can just put it anywhere dont worry, I get all stressed thinking of things we need to buy and hes like what do we need that ?! haha

Lipgloss1031 · 10/02/2020 10:17

@Buboob oh hello appointment buddy! I have no idea what they do I think some blood tests I read! Congratulations on the baby! I am very grateful for the bod growing a baby. I havent had any symptoms really accept I'm over tired and just hungry all the time but come to think of it nothings really changed!
The count down is well ans truly on it just feels so far away still knowing that something is happening inside of you and you dont really know anything, I am still going to the gym etc just more aware of what I am doing rather than go hard or go home as such! I've only told the boyf too , we can count down together until we can tell people!! xx

Quiffy · 10/02/2020 10:18

@lipgloss1031 I have that as well, we own a two bedroom home, however, our spare bedroom needs a bed for visitors as both parents live 4 hours away. I have it set up with a day bed, big cube storage, bookcase and office area. We have very little storage so now my nesting instincts are in overdrive and trying to plan it out.

CouscousEvaporator · 10/02/2020 10:29

@LaurenN23 I would say that’s more lucky rather than there being something wrong. Lots of women don’t get any symptoms, also there’s still lots of time for symptoms to show.

Hope your anxiety is ok. I have it too. I’m trying to go for a walk at lunch to clear my head as well as yoga a couple of times a week. It really helps x

Treacle81 · 10/02/2020 10:31

@LaurenN23 please try and not stress as it is no good for you or baby. I am the same, slight nausea in morning until I eat then fine all day apart from tender breasts x

Treacle81 · 10/02/2020 10:32

@LaurenN23 meant to add I’m 5+5 (according to LMP) x

charlie0692 · 10/02/2020 10:41

@laurenN23 hey I'm the same, I'm 5w2d today and nothing really other than sore boobs. With my little boy I remember the morning sickness but cant remember exactly when it started. Hopefully were just some of the lucky ones who dont get any morning sickness 🤞 I have an early scan booked for a week on sat, 22nd. Xx

LaurenN23 · 10/02/2020 10:46

Thanks everyone, a little more reassuring. Also, I've read a lot online that for most people it's too early to see a heartbeat at 6weeks on a scan. I'm going on 19th and all being well I'll be 6+6 - now I'm panicking that I won't be able to see anything and I'll be letting myself in for a load of upset unnecessarily!

Sorry to be so down guys, feeling so uneasy today and don't know why!

JaffaCakeGal · 10/02/2020 10:53

Hi all,

Not technically early Oct (EDD 17/10) but I can't find a mid-Oct thread to join haha! Only found on Saturday so I'm still a bit overwhelmed. And totally confused!!

Do I take the number of weeks from the 1st day of my last period? So I plugged that into my Ovia app and it says I'm 4 weeks 2 days - is that what I go off when looking at a time to book an early scan etc?

Can't believe how many symptoms I have so early on, it's crazy!

Hitherebaby · 10/02/2020 11:04

I'm 33, turning 34 in a few months. Due 12th October :)

Ellabella234 · 10/02/2020 11:08

I'm a bit surprised I've got symptoms too! I'm 4w6d today and I'm nauseas on and off all day, I'm hungry no mater what I eat, I was extremely sleepy and tired but feeling a little better the last few days maybe because I started taking my pregnancy multivitamin?🤷🏻‍♀️ I've got some other symptoms too. With my first I only found out at 6-8 weeks! And then I had awful nausea all day everyday til about 18weeks!!! So I definitely don't think I had all this this early on first time round. How are you booking in for early scans? Are they private or are your doctors booking them in because you have concerns? ❤️

JaffaCakeGal · 10/02/2020 11:21

@ellabella234 I was just looking at the scans out of interest, it's my first and I'm not really sure how this all goes! It was at private clinics, just wanted to see the cost really. Not even contacted doctor yet! I did a self referral to midwife yesterday but I'm not sure if they will let me go there as I booked under the area my OH lives (will be moving to his before baba here!)

Supper16 · 10/02/2020 11:26

Hi folks. I'm on the October 2020 thread in birth groups. As @acquiescence (hello, yes I'm Jen G!) has mentioned, some of us are in a private facebook group where it is easier to keep track if conversations. Private groups do not show up on your news feed and no one on your fb will know you've joined the group. If you'd like to join pop me a DM with your email and I'll ask an admin to add you.

penguin188 · 10/02/2020 11:30

Hi! Found out last week I was pregnant. Still can't believe it! I'm 5 weeks 4 days now. I registered online for a midwife appointment but haven't heard anything yet. When should the first one be? Also- I know I'm lucky but I have no symptoms, just a bit tired and sore boobs but now I start worrying more that everything is ok?!?

Quiffy · 10/02/2020 11:33

@LaurenN23 Can you move the date backwards? I booked mine in for 8 + 1 as I've seen a few threads saying about a heartbeat not being visable then - especially if you're not as far along as you think. I have seen others get the heartbeat at 6 though, so really down to your anxiety. It's such a worrying time!

@JaffaCakeGal @Ellabella234 mine is private, I just googled private scans in the town near me. The one I booked is an early viability and comes with 2 thermal pics. Cost me £54.99, which I thought was pretty good.

Quiffy · 10/02/2020 11:35

@penguin188 congratulations! I think the midwife appointment should be before 10 weeks but not completely sure on that. Mine was a phonecall to book (in on 28th Feb), might be a letter they send you and could take a few days depending on how busy you are.

LaurenN23 · 10/02/2020 11:37

@Quiffy I thought about doing that but we'd lose our £30 deposit :/ I'll be going on the evening of 6+6 so nearer 7 weeks. Been doing all sorts of googling today which isn't helping, just can't help myself it's life I'm torturing myself on purpose!
