So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Lucylou37 I haven’t got a scan date as waiting to hear from the midwife. I presume they refer to the hospital for the scan?

@Chh0412 congratulations to you - I know what you mean about it feeling real with the scan, it all feels so odd right now! My husband is excited, although I have the symptoms I feel like he feels it to be more real than I do!

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 12:15

@Chh0412 Congrats lovely! Yes scan will help it be real, it feels a bit weird now I walk around not knowing what to do with myself plus I look pregnant at the moment with the bloating!

I think I remember from 1st pregnancy you mustn't put a hot water bottle on our tummies/fronts/bumps during pregnancy.. maybe check this before you put heat like that directly on bump/tummy!😘 HWB on our back is fine though x

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 12:23

@Chh0412 if your 1st day of your last period was 22nd Dec you're due date is around 22nd Sept x

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 12:39

Girls is anyone getting any strong pain in their lower back like intense period pains (if you've ever had period pain in your back?)? I had it for 2 mins the other evening and mentioned it on here and I just had it again now! Just hormones I'm hoping? But it's pretty intense reminds me of me of before labour contractions in my back 🤦🏻‍♀️😩

Glitterbug86 · 09/02/2020 12:41

Hi Chh0402
I think you're EDD is 27/09/20 🙂
Re: twins, I have no idea on the odds but you will have a higher chance of it. Non identical twins runs in families but only on the female side, as it's caused by 2 eggs being released and fertilised on ovulation. Whereas identical twins is something else and caused by 1 egg splitting. They say non identical twins often skips a generation but that's just an illusion since men don't ovulate so would be unaffected by the gene but still pass it down to the next generation

SkyBlue20 · 09/02/2020 12:59

Hi all! How’re we doing?

@LexiM so pleased you’ve told your mum, was it exciting? How did she react? We’re off to tell my dad this afternoon! Went to our friends’ yesterday and ended up just telling them in the end - he’s my husband’s best friend so we just explained how early it is and how it’s top secret, they were thrilled for us. I love telling people, even though it doesn’t feel real yet!

Feeling very tired today and am seemingly more and more hungry but overall am not toooo bad. How’s everyone else feeling?

Welcome and congrats to all those with their BFPs!

Quiffy · 09/02/2020 13:05

@Ellabella234 @Chh0412 I’ve used a hot water bottle on off, everything I’ve read said it’s fine and a good way to help with aches and it won’t raise your core body temp like a bath might.

LexiM · 09/02/2020 14:07

@SkyBlue20 thanks - My husband just casually dropped it into conversation and my mum went “but she’s not actually pregnant” looked at me...are you?” She was really shocked because we told her previously we would probably start trying this month! She said the night before they had just been saying I definitely wasn’t haha!... my brother wasn’t very well but heard my Mum shout it and come running in! We also told my Grandma because she lives there so it makes sense for them to all know.

We will tell my husbands side in a couple of weeks but waiting for 12 weeks for everyone else. Does feel nice to have someone else to talk to. My Mum said she hopes the next few weeks go fast because she can’t wait to tell her best friends!! 😄

SkyBlue20 · 09/02/2020 14:12

Awww sounds lovely, @lexim! It is SO nice to share it with people, isn’t it?! My mum is desperate to tell my auntie but we’re seeing her in a few weeks (she lives abroad and is by chance coming to the UK), so we want to tell her in person then so have sworn her to secrecy!
Just booked an early scan for the 21st, the next couple of weeks can’t go quickly enough!

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 15:23

@acquiescence Love the idea of a Facebook group x

GreenPillow · 09/02/2020 15:26

Hi! Late to this thread but hope I can join!

My EDD for #2 is 5th October but have my first midwife appointment tomorrow, which seems really early Confused. Only told my parents so far. Nausea has kicked in which I find reassuring that something is happening lol. Can't wait for the 12 week scan.

Chh0412 · 09/02/2020 16:43

@acquiescence love the idea of a Facebook group too! Just would it show up on Facebook that you've joined it!! Just haven't told anyone yet!

@LexiM thank you. It just feels so surreal. I feel pretty normal so I think that's why it isn't sinking in.

@Ellabella234 I don't think I look pregnant just look My usual chunky self! Thanks for the EDD
@Glitterbug86 thanks for the EDD. Confused because my clear blue only said 1-2 weeks which means I could actually only be 3-4 weeks!
I will have to wait and see if it's twins or not!

acquiescence · 09/02/2020 16:50

@Ellabella234 @chh0412 there is a Facebook group set up, if you go onto the Oct 2020 group on birth groups you can ask to join. It’s a secret group so no one will see.

Glitterbug86 · 09/02/2020 17:03

@Chh0412 maybe you have longer cycles and ovulate later? That's just the EDD based off first day of period for someone with an average ovulation on day 14

Togetherismyfavouriteplace · 09/02/2020 17:33

So morning sickness has official started for me!
Spent from 7am - 11am today lying on the sofa or running to the toilet. Thankfully I wasn’t actually sick it was more of morning nausea but it hit me hard!

I am currently 5+3. For those that are not feeling symptoms like I was a day ago, enjoy it and don’t worry too much! X

@Togetherismyfavouriteplace oh no!! I was just saying to my hubby earlier how I’m seeing lots of people with sickness etc and I’ve been ok 5+4. Not sure if just lucky or yet to come!!

Prettylittlelady · 09/02/2020 19:05

Hi, I’d like to join, I hope that’s ok. I’m 4w+2, it was a FET cycle and I’ve been having positive tests since last Sunday. Yesterday I had my bloods done and they were over 500, CB digital is reading 2-3 at the moment, so I think that’s a good sign but I’m incredibly anxious about absolutely everything. I’ve had a chemical previously and I’m worrying that this one won’t make it.
I don’t have any sickness yet, only tender boobs which started yesterday and constantly tired which I’ve been for over a week now.

Chh0412 · 09/02/2020 19:46

@acquiescence have you got a link for the fb group! I can't find it! X

MrsB1821 · 09/02/2020 20:21

@Chh0412 Thanks!!! My Hubby has nicknamed ours Bean too! How cute!!! Xx

Quiffy · 09/02/2020 20:25

@Chh0412 the fbook is on this link, if you pm the person on last page they’ll send you a invite via email. It’s totally private so won’t show up :)

Made the leap and booked my private scan for March 1st when I’ll 8 + 2. Excited and very scared at the same time!!!

Quiffy · 09/02/2020 20:26

@Chh0412 furry I didn’t even paste it www.mumsnet.com/Talk/birth_clubs/3804022-october-2020 Is it too early for preggo brain? 😹😹

Lipgloss1031 · 09/02/2020 20:29

Well I've got a BFP (just discovered what this means), I have the fear about losing the baby! i have known for a week now and i am 5+4 I seem to have finally come to terms with the possibility I probably am pregnant (yay) even though the midwife is on the 6th march!! So far away! Had to tell my boss yesterday as my jobs slightly different have to tell them sooner! Telling my mum next weekend, I feel very nervous. Especially with these tummy cramps keep feeling like my period is constantly coming! I have read most of the thread took a while but I think everyone feels the same I actually cant stop eating hoping to pull my self together and it's all in my mind before I look like a shamu and push out a baby whale!!
Congrats on the babies everyone we are adulting at 1000%. xx

Togetherismyfavouriteplace · 09/02/2020 20:45

@Lipgloss1031 congratulations! Is this baby #1 for you? My biggest fear is something bad happening too but I’m really trying to focus on not worrying.
I worried for days about having 0 symptoms and then today was hit with morning nausea. I guess everyone is different and what will be will be!
It’s lovely to have everyone here to chat though.

I’ve told my closest family and my best friend. Couldn’t experience this without them.
Xx
