@Treacle81 @Spark27 I've already had mine, if not I would be getting it straight away. Flu in pregnancy is very serious - it can cause miscarriage and birth defects, and there's pretty strong evidence for a link between flu in pregnancy and the child going on to develop psychotic conditions such as schizophrenia in adulthood.

Quiffy · 08/02/2020 14:11

@Cookiemonster19 oooh twins would be scary 😹😹

@Chh0412 congratulations 😻😻

lilyj13 · 08/02/2020 14:12

@Catred4 I bought some mints yesterday and ate most of them looked at them today and can't even look at them, I will go get some ginger shots from Tesco not sure if it works I swear it's a myth, I've eaten and drank a smoothie and I've bought some lucozade I have a feeling Hypermisis will kick in soon I'm hoping just morning sickness/nausea but I don't really no the difference as I've only ever had hyperemeris, sake I've been in best most of the day, my husband picking my script up later for some tablets, haven't been sick yet just feel Ill. X

Hi everyone,

Can I join? I got my BFP today. Due date from LMP is 14th October 2020.

I have been nauseous since the day my period was due which seems very early. I’m conscious it’s very early days but hoping this is a good sign. I’m planning on ordering some sea bands as these have worked well for me previously.

I haven’t quite read through the whole thread but has there been any mention of a October due date Facebook group? I’ve been in one before via mumsnet and it has been fantastic.

Congratulations to everyone on your pregnancies.

Chh0412 · 08/02/2020 16:51

I've been getting quite bad tummy pain on and off today. My tummy feels heavy like I've eaten too much! Apart from that feeling pretty normal! I'm a worrier so I know I'm probably over thinking! It's my first pregnancy so thjs is all completely new.

Quiffy · 08/02/2020 17:05

@acquiescence congratulations! I’m on an October Facebook group, it was created off the October birth club thread. It’s been really good so far! The link is here if anyone wants to message the admin www.mumsnet.com/Talk/birth_clubs/3804022-october-2020

@Chh0412 fee, you on that one, I had horrific cramps last night and was really worried and looking for blood. First time is scary when you’ve not felt stuff like this before. Have you tried a hot water bottle?

MrsB1821 · 08/02/2020 17:23

Been sooo tired today and slept till 11.30am! Got awful taste in my mouth today and tongue feels like a flip flop!!! I have been drinking more than 2ltrs of water a day so
Fully hydrated. Still growing, still hungry and still got cramps daily - I’m 5+ 3 today. Had sever hunger since 3dpo! @Cookiemonster19 think I’m in the same boat as you - are you showing yet? X

Ellabella234 · 08/02/2020 17:41

Afternoon lovelies. Busy day taking miss 3yp to soft play with a friend and her little one. I'm wrecked! My tummy (lower) is so sore, it was already but now worse, and my body feels SO tired and achey after soft play madness! I'm definitely bloated and look pregnant right now🙈 it water 'bloat' isn't it, plus uterus expanding and muscles stretching so all looks bigger. I'm only 4.5weeks I think! Hope you're all ok this eve, nice to have each other to relate!!🌷

charlie0692 · 08/02/2020 18:46

Congratulations to all the new bfps! I came home today to a letter from the hospital with my dating scan! It's all starting to feel very real now! We also have an early scan booked for 2 weeks today, I cannot wait 😊 xx

Cookiemonster19 · 08/02/2020 23:35

@Quiffy I don’t know what I would do if it was twins 😂

@MrsB1821 I’m only 3 weeks and a few days with a little bit of bloating! My last pregnancy (I have one ds, I’m 23) I only started showing at around 20 weeks... My symptoms on the other hand are crazy strong! I’ll take it as a good sign though and hopefully my HCG levels are rising well! 🙈 X

flameprincess · 09/02/2020 00:15

Joining in! I had my BFP a few weeks ago but I've only just come to terms with it. This is my second and my first is now 11 years old so I'm starting all over again - scared but also excited. I don't remember having so many symptoms in my last pregnancy. The sore boobs, the bloating, the indigestion are UNREAL. I was a spring chicken at 22 when I last did this so maybe the effects on my body will be totally different....

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 08:28

Girls I'm 15dpo today last test I took was Friday (so I'm 4w5d) and for some reason I just want to check my levels are hopefully doing ok so I used my last frer I had. The top is Friday 13dpo and bottom is today 15dpo. I guess they're kind of the same ? - is that ok or should the second line be darker than the control line by now!? I'm pretty bloated and look 20wks already at the moment 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ How are you all feeling today?

Lucylou37 · 09/02/2020 08:57

@sam1121 I'm 37 and keep doing tests every few days too, as I'm in shock and haven't got very strong symptoms! I'm five weeks xxx

BecauseReasons · 09/02/2020 09:03

It's fine. The darkness-of-line thing isn't something to put much stock in. I think the issue is that we're used as a society to getting everything instantly nowadays- we're very impatient. Pregnancy you can't really rush, so people look for things they can use to show progression (like line darkness, despite variation from test to test and the fact that after a couple of weeks your test won't look exactly the same as when you first did it). My gran was telling me that back when she was pregnant, the doctors wouldn't consider you as pregnant until you'd missed three periods!

Suffice it to say, if it's still positive you're still pregnant. Try to refrain from further peeing on sticks.

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 09:06

@BecauseReasons Yes completely agree - I didn't do this with my DD in my first pregnancy ha! I just had one last frer left so I decided today was good as it ha seven two days since the darkest one is had on Friday. It's still there so that's good. Probably shouldn't have posted to ask and instead just reassured myself 🤦🏻‍♀️xx

Ellabella234 · 09/02/2020 09:07

As it had been ** I meant! Typo!
I've no intention to keep peeing on sticks 😁 I just had one last one left and I'm 15dpo so thought I'd use it x

BecauseReasons · 09/02/2020 09:13

Probably shouldn't have posted to ask and instead just reassured myself

Nah, nothing wrong with asking for reassurance. Pregnancy makes me certifiable so I'll be on here a lot for the next seven months, asking increasingly bizarre questions! I asked a weird one just yesterday.

I also peed on a leftover FRER myself yesterday (still positive) but I've long since binned previous positives (freaks me out that they go yellow after a while 🤢) so didn't make any attempts at comparison.

Quiffy · 09/02/2020 09:49

@Ellabella234 hcg only raises every few days anyway (not sure how this works the more dpo you are) so I wouldn’t be worried about line progression. It’s really hard though, my 13dpo to 14dpo wasn’t darker but it can be everything to do with urine concentration etc. I actually poas on Friday night as I was having a cray cray moment and used an IC, it was much darker than previous week so that was v comforting. I really need to get that private scan in to feel more reassured! It’s hard believing that there is that little peppercorn inside me getting bigger. Well bar all the nausea, noon pain and extreme itchiness 😹

Lucylou37 · 09/02/2020 10:20

I'm five weeks, and my symptoms seem to come and go (sore boobs and nausea one minute, fine the next)! Does anyone else get this? Can't help but worry a little bit xxx

LexiM · 09/02/2020 11:00

@Lucylou37 I’m 5 weeks and mine come and go too, I think it’s normal. I feel nauseous on and off but no real pattern.

Told my Mum yesterday, she was thrilled and had promised to keep it a secret, let’s hope she doesn’t slip up now haha!

Lucylou37 · 09/02/2020 11:05

@lexiM thanks so much for the
Reassurance! When do you get your first scan? Mine won't be until March, which seems an age away! So lovely you told your mum xxx

Chh0412 · 09/02/2020 11:21

apologies long post alert

I've sat down this morning and read the whole thread! 😍

Still can't quite believe that I'm pregnant! Especially after the doctor said it would be hard for me with pcos. I've lost 2 and half stone since August and got my BMI down to 29.9 to be referred for clomid!
Don't think I'm going to believe it until I've had a scan. Even thought we've been trying since Jan 2019 I didn't have a period until end of November so In that sense we've caught quite quick.

Hubby never gets excited about anything but last night said I'm actually excited!! Haha. He's nicknamed it Bean!

He doesn't want to tell anyone until we've had a scan!! My parents live in the same village as us so it's going to be so hard!

Also I've got a job interview tomorrow for a promotion at work so not sure I can tell work yet don't want to risk not getting it!
I'm a nurse so understand that I might have to tell them sooner rather than later.

Can someone confirm my EDD! Last period was 22/12/19!

Also does anyone know what the chances are for twins. My younger brother and sister are twins!

@Quiffy I haven't tried a hot water bottle but might try that. It just comes and goes. Just feels so heavy my tummy.

@MrsB1821 your bump picture is so cute!

MissBee8 · 09/02/2020 11:34

@Lucylou37 sore boobs and back ache for me! And nausea on and off
