Hi,

Starting a thread for ladies in early pregnancy after one or more miscarriages or stillbirths. A safe place to let off steam and hopefully grow healthy rainbows together......

Great news @SammiLou2312 !

SammiLou2312 · 24/02/2020 15:02

@Knotemma awesome! Fingers crossed we both have super amazing scans 🥰

We were a little naughty, I went and bought my first set of cuteness. Couldn't resist and really wanted to celebrate the fact everything is going so well so far so got a set of 3 Dumbo baby grows 😍

Pugmum19 · 24/02/2020 15:24

Hey everybody, sorry I haven’t been on in ages, I’m struggling to keep up. My nausea and sickness is getting worse not better even though I’m 13 weeks! Not good.
But I did have my 12 week scan on Saturday and all was good. So so happy and in disbelief! Due 31st August

@pugmum19 beautiful picture 🥰

Nooodles · 24/02/2020 16:11

@sammilou2312 and @Pugmum19 congratulations on your lovely scans :) :)

Had my booking appointment with the midwife today, she was so lovely and is going to book in extra appointments for reassurance rather than having less as you would usually for a second baby. So glad of that! :) They were really reassuring too as we had a big chat about discharge 🤣🤣 and all seems to be normal. But they did encourage me to ask as soon as there’s anything unusual so they can give their advice on whether it is something to worry about.

Private scan booked for this Saturday 🤞🏼 and 12 week scan now booked for 13th March - @Knotemma and @sammilou2312 I think we’re on for the same week aren’t we?

Trying not to wish time away, but also really wanting to fast forward past those milestones and hoping for good news 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼💛 (for us all!) xxx

Avocuddles · 24/02/2020 16:33

@SammiLou2312 @Pugmum19 congratulations on your scans!

This is baby Avocuddles.... 9 weeks today and measuring 22mm - the size of a big grape! Really hoping my 12 week scan date comes through soon. @SunStruck where I live the appointment just comes through the post, I'm hoping it's no later than 12 weeks as still feeling nervous though obviously happier after today's positive scan. My DH is still feeling too cautious to get at all excited, I think if things look good at 12 weeks we both finally might be able to accept that we might bring a baby home....

Fortunately I work quite close to the hospital which makes it easier attending all my various appointments. Blood tests tomorrow and consultant appointment to review them on Friday - I am so grateful for the NHS!

@Avocuddles aw fab glad your scan went well there so scary! My NHS scan was due Friday 13th march sou I defo had to change that too superstitious ha. DH has decided another private scan this week is a good idea so hoping to be scanned at 10wks ♥️ with good news this time as previous lil peanut only made it to 9+3

Love seeing all scan pics so reassuring.

Avocuddles · 24/02/2020 17:17

@SammiLou2312 hello little pip! Those baby gros are so so cute. Are you going to find out what you're having (at 20 weeks....)?

OP posts:
SammiLou2312 · 24/02/2020 17:18

@Avocuddles we plan to, although Pip seems to be a wriggler and likes to dance so could be fun trying to get a clear pic to tell us haha

SunStruck · 24/02/2020 17:21

@Avocuddles @SammiLou2312 beautiful scan pics!!! 🥰🥰😍 makes me so happy to see!

Thanks for the explanation about how it works in the UK, here I just call to book a scan myself so can choose anytime really! 😄

Wow your scan pics really look more like baby like blobs now rather than just a blob!! 😅 can't believe how quickly they grow these last weeks of the first trimester!

SammiLou2312 · 24/02/2020 17:26

@SunStruck tell me about it...we were shocked at the difference...Pip has doubled in size since our scan 2 weeks ago and definitely looks much more baby like this time. It's crazy to think all this is happening inside of us haha

Rachael321 · 24/02/2020 17:32

Fab scan pics @Avocuddles @Pugmum19 @SammiLou2312
Mine from my 12 week scan a few weeks ago!!
Looks like we may all be getting there now!!

Knotemma · 24/02/2020 17:49

Aw I'm loving all the scan pics, it's so lovely to see and I think maybe a sign that some of us are starting to feel a bit more ... Maybe comfortable? Definitely not relaxed, possibly hopeful is a better word. So I thought I'd join in, here's our little goblin at 9+4 from Friday (note the pointy ears... dH says elf but it's given me so much trouble I think it has to be a goblin)

Pugmum19 · 24/02/2020 17:55

@Avocuddles*@Rachael321 @knotemma* lovely pics!!
Is it just me that can’t connect the pictures with that’s inside my stomach! Hard to believe!!

tmc14 · 24/02/2020 17:58

@Avocuddles @Pugmum19 @SammiLou2312 @Rachael321 @knotemma aw lovely scan photos ladies. So pleased the scans today went well. Edging towards your gorgeous rainbow babies 💛

My first scan is on Friday, will only be 7+1 & really trying not to think about it!! Currently I’m just exhausted & nauseous, so a bit whingy to be honest! Ha. Hope everyone else is doing ok x

Rachael321 · 24/02/2020 18:22

@Knotemma I think you're right.more comfortable with things definitely.
I even noticed the starting of, dare I say it, a bump this morning before I got out of bed!

didslysquiddlydoo · 24/02/2020 18:52

Wow, so amazing to see all of these positive scan experiences - I'm so happy for you guys!!

I'm probably going to be a bit quiet over here until I've had my scan next Wednesday.. This thread has been such a godsend in being able to talk to people who understand anxieties after previous miscarriages.. at the same time I'm finding it difficult to manage my own anxieties of lack of symptoms (like, zero symptoms) and not compare myself to others on here who appear to be getting lots of symptoms (or are understandably airing their own anxieties if their symptoms subside a little bit)... I'm just really struggling to believe things are still ok with zero symptoms and I'm feeling quite down in the dumps.

I hope people understand if I just dip in and out at the moment - atleast until my next scan (which can't come soon enough!!).

I'm genuinely SO happy for all of those getting positive news - it's so encouraging to see and gives a lot of hope! Xx

DressingGown87 · 24/02/2020 19:09

Can I join too! Had 7MCs from 2011-2014, the first in the second trimester the others between 5-11weeks. After fertility tests in 2015 I had kind of given up hope.

But here I am 5+3, on my own, at 32 and a nervous wreck. Had loads of symptoms last week, but they have subsided since Saturday, apart from the tiredness and cramps. Midwife said this is normal. First scan is next Monday, which seems ages away!

It’s nice, and comforting to see you all supporting each other, and great to see all the scan pictures.

Knotemma · 24/02/2020 19:10

@didslysquiddlydoo you do whatever you need! Even if you just pop on to vent you feelings, don't feel like you have to read what else is going on.
While we're all mad symptom checkers, symptoms don't really mean anything. Lots of women go through pregnancy without them, so please try not to give up all hope. I also understand the need to protect yourself though. Sending you lots of positive thoughts and sticky bean dust xx

tmc14 · 24/02/2020 19:30

@didslysquiddlydoo I know it won’t make you feel better, but just to say I had zero symptoms throughout my first, successful, pregnancy. My last pregnancy, that ended in miscarriage, I had all the symptoms. It really does just depend. I feel awful today, but yesterday I had no nausea, last week I had some, tomorrow who knows?! Because of my previous experiences I guess I don’t hold much stock by symptoms for myself.
Wishing you a quiet mind until your scan, and that you get to share the picture of your tiny bean next week xx

@DressingGown87 welcome, wishing you a healthy sticky bean xx

Aria2015 · 24/02/2020 19:42

Hi all, so lovely to see all these successful scans! Such great news.

I'm still unwell. I rang the epu today because I'm just generally worried as don't really 'feel' pregnant. I was feeling nauseous but haven't for the last 2 days. They said just to keep my scan appointment for next Thursday and see. They said if I've had no bleeding or pain then there would be no need to scan me earlier which I get. So just got to hang on for next week. Such a shame as I think if I hadn't been ill, I'd be feeling quite optimistic after my scan last week. Anyway, nothing I can do. Just need to rest and get better.

Nooodles · 24/02/2020 21:49

@didslysquiddlydoo Take care and don’t worry about being quiet! We all have to do what we need to in order to get through this with a little sanity left :)

Welcome @DressingGown87 :)

I’m suddenly feeling so much more anxious tonight .. I’ve been taking everything step-by-step, and with the midwife appointment done, it means the next thing is a scan. Aghhhhh.

Sending you all lots of love and quiet minds and sleep 🤣🥰

Treaclepie19 · 25/02/2020 09:35

@Aria2015 I'm the same. Nausea has disappeared and I'm worrying. I think it seems to be quite common so fingers crossed.

I've got a horrid cold so rearranged my flu jab for next week. I'm now worried I'm going to get the flu and it'll be my fault for rearranging 🙈
The anxiety is rising definitely 😩🤧😔
