Hi girls!

Recently found out that I’m pregnant and based on my last period I think I should be 4 weeks today! Just wanted to start a thread to see if there’s anyone else who’s in the same boat?

I’m so excited but also extremely nervous about the thoughts of a miscarriage so just wanting to reach out to people who are at a similar stage :)

Thanks! Xx

I'm 28 and from London.

@Carouselfish I worked mine out from the first day of my last period. They will confirm the dates at the first scan anyway so not too much of a problem Smile

@LuckyWright I am thinking about having an early scan around 8 weeks too. I'm hoping that will be late enough for them to definitely see something.

mimmi91 · 18/01/2020 10:16

@LuckyWright yeah my two apps also give me different dates... Femometer says 5w today, but P.C. says 4+6, which is the correct date I think, as my last period started on 15/12/19!

I really want an early scan too, but not possible in France :(
Unless my midwife friend hooks me up, but that might be wishful thinking haha!!!

Great, I'll try and create a FB group this afternoon, will post the link here :D

BabyMoffat · 18/01/2020 10:25

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant approx 5 weeks. First baby and was always told couldn’t conceive so shock and nice surprise too! I’ve had light cramping and feeling nauseous for last few days.

Banbi · 18/01/2020 11:38

Congratulations @BabyMoffat !

Naïve question - what are the pros/cons of an early scan?

Also - anyone else struggling to fit in their clothes because of bloating? I was admittedly at the top end of my usual weight after Xmas anyway so my clothes were a bit tight, but now I've got no hope of being comfortable in them. Off down the charity shops today to get some slightly larger regular clothes...

Interested in folks' early symptoms. I feel like my sense of smell is stronger but probably my imagination at this stage, right?

mimmi91 · 18/01/2020 11:39

Congrats @BabyMoffat !! We are all pretty much cycle twins on this thread :D

I've now created a Facebook thread! For those who'd like to join, here's the link :

Fishergirl · 18/01/2020 12:14

Can I jump on your thread too please? I had a bfp on the 11th which gives me a due date of 14th Sep. We've been trying since 2018 and i've had 5 miscarriages/CPs along the way so am tentatively excited! Am 42 too 😊

OrDis · 18/01/2020 12:16

I’m 30 from South Wales and this is our first. Feeling ok still today apart from some epic boob ache!

Still unsure about what point to tell the parents and in-laws. I’d like to be able to show them a scan photo but I don’t know if i’ll be able to wait till 12weeks so might have to do it without or go for an early scan.

I told my GP surgery yesterday and they made me fill in a referral form for the midwife and then gave me a huge bunch of stuff to read- so lots to take in over the next few weeks

Plattsy88 · 18/01/2020 13:37

Hey ladies,

Random question, anyone else really thirsty all the time?

4+5 today and I seem to be thirsty all the time Hmm

Anyone else??

P x

LuckyWright · 18/01/2020 14:20

@OrDis Yes I want to tell them with a scan photo too (I have a whole idea planned!) which is why I think I will have an 8 week scan :)

OrDis · 18/01/2020 14:29

@Plattsy88 - yes. Yesterday I was super thirsty and today I seem to want to eat cucumber- honestly don’t know if i’m imagining it 🤣🤣🤣

mimmi91 · 18/01/2020 14:37

@Plattsy88 I sometimes think I'm more thirsty that usual ; but am mostly able to ignore it haha... I don't really have any weird symptoms yet, except some occasional cramping/sore nipples...

@OrDis Cucumber is at least a nice healthy food craving haha!!

Girls, if anyone else is interested, this is the link to our FB group. It is fully private, so none of your family members/friends will see that you've joined / what you post :

Plattsy88 · 18/01/2020 15:15

@OrDis I'm the same! I wasn't sure if I was making it up about being thirsty all the time!

Think I had my first bit of morning sickness as well today

Plattsy88 · 18/01/2020 15:16

@mimmi91 me too! Nipples are sore and I get the odd cramping every now and again! On top of being constantly thirsty lol.

And I think morning sickness has begun!

Link doesn't work on my phone app. Can someone pm it to me please? X

LaurenL7 · 18/01/2020 19:41

My nipples were sore but they've eased off a bit now and I just have slightly tender boobs. No morning sickness or anything yet but hoping it stays away!

@Carouselfish how do I send a private message with the link?

Hey going to join on! Found out today and about 3w+5 going by periods xxx

Rebeccalin · 18/01/2020 21:55

Hi all, got my bfp a few days ago. Last period was 18/12 but my cycles are usually between 30-35 days so not sure if I have technically missed my period yet.

I'm feeling very anxious because of a potential miscarriage, but I'm trying to be positive.

My symptoms so far have been brutal! Constant hunger and nausea at the same time..

Also, I am so thirsty, all the time. I've been drinking so much water but it feels like I can never quench my thirst. And pretty bad headache at night.
Anyone else going through this?

If I had a regular cycle; my due date would be September 23rd.

LuckyWright · 19/01/2020 01:09

I'm struggling with the link too on my phone - please can someone PM me too?

My due date would be 22nd Sep if I had normal periods but I think as they are slightly longer it will be around 28th Sep according to one website that made me put in average cycle length etc!
I haven't actually had many symptoms.. cramping, rather bloated and thirsty.
Boobs feel fine and no sickness! X

mimmi91 · 19/01/2020 07:25

Welcome @crbmlc and @Rebeccalin ! Congratulations!!

@LuckyWright my symptoms really do come and go, it's crazy. On Friday I had super painful cramping, yesterday I had sore boobs, and today I have nothing haha! I think it's normal :) No nausea yet either. I think it may kick in this week / next week, according to statistics...

Also, you should be able to search for the group directly in the searchbar on Facebook. The group is called "September 2020 BB's" :)

I think I have now requested to join! Hope it's right group Grin

Pamiepam · 19/01/2020 08:01

Hi ladies, I just found out I'm pregnant yesterday. I will be by rough calculation 4 weeks 4 days. Been trying for 4 years 2 miscarriages age 42 extremely nervous but over the moon. Didn't want to do a test as I was sick of reading negitave results so waited a bit longer than I would have. Feeling exhausted but I thought that was due to flying over from Australia had no idea the reason I slept on the plane was pregency related. Boobs huge and very sore already, going to take it easy from here on in hoping we make it.

Carouselfish · 19/01/2020 08:04

Just requested.

Harri87 · 19/01/2020 16:49

Hey guys,

How is everyone getting on with symptoms?

I'm really struggling tbh, have a lot of feeling nauseous , so much that I can barely go out..but also hate staying in, as I've also got a really strong sense of smell and literally can't stand the smell of our flat 😑 (which is weird as I've never thought that before and everyone else says it's fine)

Has anyone else had anything like this?

X

Nicalo2019 · 19/01/2020 19:07
