Anyone JUST found out? I’m 11dpo and found out yesterday.

Pretty much what the subject says! I’ve been looking at SO many of these threads so decided to make my own.

I found out yesterday I am pregnant! I did do an eBay cheapie 9dpo in the evening and could swear I saw a line. OH said I was crazy and imagining it but Obviously not! I then did another eBay cheapie at about 3:30pm yesterday, that came up with a faint line so we went and got some FRER, I held my wee for 4 hours and did it around 9:30pm, sure enough, a decent positive line. I’ve also done a clear blue digi this morning about 5am that came up “pregnant 1-2”. Doesn’t seem real at all, I have a midwife appointment tomorrow?! I’m sure it will feel real then.

Did anyone not really have many symptoms?

The only symptoms I have was a bleed after sex on 6dpo, my cervix went from low to high at around 8dpo. My gums are inflamed and bleed like crazy when I brush my teeth. My boobs were sore last cycle before my period but haven’t been sore at all this cycle. I have irregular cycles and didn’t ovulate until cd31 this cycle, confirmed with opk & cm. I don’t really get much ewcm so we did use pre-seed. Anyone else due date early July?

Hi @lgxo Congratulations!

I got my BFP 11 days ago at 9DPO. This will (hopefully) be my first baby 🤞🏼 Due 22nd June(ish). I was symptoms spotting like made during the wait but the only real symptom that made me think it was possible was sharp, stabbing pains in my lower back at 6dpo which I'm assuming was implantation. They came and went over a couple of hours.

I'm 5+4 today from LMP but 4+5 from ovulation. I ovulated CD20 (confirmed with Digital OPK) and I still don't have any major symptoms. My boobs are a tiny bit tender but only when I brush against something, I am peeing more often, gone off sweet stuff and I have had a bit of insomnia over the past 4/5 nights but I don't feel sick or tired.... yet 🙈

How are you feeling?

That's great that you managed to get a midwives appointment so soon. You don't get seen for your booking appointment until you are 8-10 week where I am so I have a LONG time to wait 😫 x

lgxo · 21/10/2019 15:57

@CoffeeAndCarbs

Congrats to you too lovely! Fingers crossed we both go on to have a healthy & happy 8/9months! I’m still getting used to all this dating stuff. I know they go off your last period but mine was a whole month before I ovulated, so I’m putting myself as 3+2 for guessing.

I’m feeling good! It’s still not sunk in, I keep wanting to do more tests to make sure 😂 but trying to hold back! My OH works away and is away from the next two nights so that’s why I’ve joined here to talk to anyone about it! As I’m going to try my best to keep it to myself for as long as I can. Easier said than done!

Yeah, well they say to ring your doctors as soon as you find out so I did and they gave me an appointment for tomorrow! I presume it will just be bloods taken and a whole load of brochures thrown my way!

Where are you from if you don’t mind me asking? X

CoffeeAndCarbs · 21/10/2019 17:16

So have you not told your OH yet? How exciting!!!

I've taken a ridiculous amount of tests, I'm obsessed! I've spent a crazy amount of money on FRERs, Clearblue Digitals and cheapies 🙈
I've had strong line progression on FRERs and go 'Pregnant 1-2' at 13dpo and 'Pregnant 2-3' at 16dpo so going to wait until Thursday to do my last digital and hopefully see 'Pregnant 3+'. I've promised DH I'll stop testing after that 😂

I got my BFP early so waited until my period was officially late before going to the docs. I have PCOS so he wanted bloods done before referring me to Midwives as he wants to copy in the endocrinologist with the results. I had the bloods taken on Thursday (got my flu jab at the same time). Just need to wait now for the midwife to get in touch. I'm so impatient! I'd be interested to hear how your appointment goes tomorrow. I'm excited for you!

I'm in Scotland 😊

lgxo · 21/10/2019 18:11

@CoffeeAndCarbs

Yes! Luckily he was still home last night when I did the test. He left at 5:30am this morning, right after I’d done the clear blue digi!

I’m still super early, I’ll only be 12dpo tomorrow! I think I’ll get some cheaper tests and just keep testing over the next few weeks?

I was due a scan on the 20th November to see how the cysts on my ovaries were as me & my partner was going to try a couple of years back, but decided it wasn’t the right time, but I went for scans and they found cysts and my blood tests showed I hadn’t ovulate, which wasn’t surprising as they did it at CD15 and I have never ovulated before CD21! So this time I wanted the tests done again to see if they’re still there. I should probably mention that tomorrow to the midwife. I bet it feels like a lifetime waiting! But I’ll definitely let you know how it goes! What do you do for a living? X

MooChops89 · 21/10/2019 18:31

Meee!!! Don't know exactly when I ovulated but I'm about 3weeks + 4days, due 2nd July! I tested 2 mornings last week and had faint positives, but had had a false positive last month so waited a week and got a lovely strong line today!

This will be DC2, DD is almost 18 months old so a 2 year & 2 month gap if all goes well.

I only had my coil out last month! Me and DH are joking that he must have super sperm as it only took 2 months to conceive DD.

I'm only cautiously excited as a few people close to us have recently had miscarriages so a bit scared to get my hopes up just yet.

Fingers crossed for a healthy 8 more months for us all!

CoffeeAndCarbs · 21/10/2019 19:00

@lgxo definitely mention your ovarian cysts to your midwife, she will probably arrange an earlier scan for you to see how things are looking 👍🏼

I have an appointment with the endocrinologist on 19th Nov but my GP said they'd probably want to see me sooner now that I'm expecting.

B&M are selling 2 tests for £1 or you can get the test strips (3 for £1). They must think I'm nuts at my local one, I'm in there buying a new pack almost every day 😂 definitely going to stop after Thursday tho!

I work in property. How about you? X

CoffeeAndCarbs · 21/10/2019 19:01

Congratulations @MooChops89 that's a nice gap between siblings 😊 x

lgxo · 21/10/2019 20:25

@CoffeeAndCarbs

I will! It would be nice to have an early scan, I know that you can book them anyway but some of the costs are crazy!

Hopefully you won’t be waiting too long for an appointment. Do you know roughly when you will hear back about your bloods? I hate having my bloods taken.

I’m 100% going to have to get some cheap tests tomorrow. B&M is great! I wont feel guilty if it’s only a couple of quid or so a day haha.

I own a bakery. Self-employment is scary enough and now this has made me worry like crazy. I’ve only been open a year (almost), a full shop & a pregnancy in less than a year. I must be mad! X

lgxo · 21/10/2019 20:28

@MooChops89

Yay! Congratulations! Has it sunk in properly for you? I’m still wrapping my head around it.

We have pretty similar due dates! Every app is telling me 4th July, but irregular cycles could mess with that. I’ll have to see what the midwife says tomorrow! It still sounds weird that I’m going to see a midwife! Haha.

Have you made a doctors appointment yet?

And that is such a lovely age gap, hopefully they’ll be best friends growing up!

I know what you mean about being cautious. I wish there was something that we could use to check everything is going ok every day! Haha x

MooChops89 · 21/10/2019 21:00

@Igxo no not made an appointment, only took the test this afternoon! I'm a midwife myself and in our area we have a number to call the community midwives to make a booking appointment, will do that in about 2 weeks I think.
I do need a higher dose of folic acid as my bmi is over 30 Hmm last time I just had to fill in a prescription request and got it without having to see a Dr.
I dont think it has sunk in yet really! Even though we were TTC and I hoped it would be quick I didn't think it would happen first try!
I've been having those little crampy pains the last few days and feeling like I'm leaking, keep swapping between feeling relieved that I'm having symptoms and panicking that it's a sign it's all over! Was like this last time too, never properly relaxed!

lgxo · 21/10/2019 21:21

@MooChops89

Aww amazing! I would have loved to have been a midwife. Still time I bet. Do you enjoy it?

I don’t even know what my bmi is, I assume that will be worked out tomorrow?

You & your husband are A+ at baby making!

And I know what you mean! I’m having slight period like cramps today, they come and go just as quickly though. My cm completely dried up a good few day’s ago, so I’ve not had the leaky feeling. I just have no clue what to expect as I’ve never been pregnant before. Just going to try and enjoy it the best I can!

OP posts:
CoffeeAndCarbs · 22/10/2019 13:42

Hi @lgxo have you had your appointment yet?

I'm self-employed too but I work on location so don't have business premises (thankfully). If I owned a bakery I'd be the size of a house lol.

You will probably find that your CM ramps up. Mine disappeared completely just before I got my BFP and then within days it became wet and white and I have it every day. I googled it and it's totally normal in pregnancy so not worried at all.

Are you taking a pregnancy vitamin? I tried Pregnacare Conception when we were TTC but they made me feel sick so I stopped and only took folic acid. Since I became pregnant I started taking Seven Seas Pregnancy and they are so much easier to stomach x

kylieeee · 22/10/2019 13:52

@lgxo congratulations mama!

I'm currently on my TWW. I'm due on in a couple of days and praying it never comes. I tested on Friday which put me at 7 DPO and I got a BFN. I know I tested far too early so I'm still holding that hope, I hope I get the same news as you! Xxx

marmitecheesetoast · 22/10/2019 13:57

Me too! I got my BFP on Saturday morning at I think 12dpo! I have 31 day cycles so wasn’t even due AF til today! I have also been doing a test every morning since Grin luckily I had a few cheapy ones to use up!

If this sticks it’ll be DC2 for me (have a 2 year old) and I think EDD around 30th June.

Congrats to everyone else on their BFPs and fx we all have sticky ones.

That must be extra hard @lgxo your OH being away. I got my BFP with all my family visiting for the weekend and had to pretend everything was normal!

Can’t believe you had an appointment so soon @lgxo was it with the GP or a midwife? Hope it went well.

I’m just wondering when to ring up to self refer to the midwives here. I’m sure last time I rung up about 4.5/5 weeks and was told it was a bit early and to ring back so I guess I’ll hold off for now? Has anyone else rung up yet if you are also in an area where you self refer?

lgxo · 22/10/2019 16:06

@CoffeeAndCarbs

Yes! I had it at 2pm! It was just a “here’s what you need to know” chat & they filled in my referral form for the hospital. Not as exciting as I thought it would be! But I got to meet the midwife so that was nice. They said I should hear back from the hospital for screenings in a couple of weeks or so. They’ve dated me as 6 weeks today, based on last period, but I know I ovulated less than 2 weeks ago. But hopefully that means I get an earlier dating scan?!

Funny enough I have noticed the my CM has come back today. Keep feeling a little wet. I presume this is normal but I keep checking for blood every time I go toilet and sighing in relief when there is none. Hopefully this is a little sticky one!

I’ve been taking folic acid for about 3 months now, but the midwife just told me to take vitamin D too, they sold the vitamins with everything I need in the doctors so I got one of them. She said don’t worry that it’s not pregnacare because they all do the same thing, but I have heard good things about seven seas! Are they big? These ones I have are tiny! X

OP posts:
lgxo · 22/10/2019 16:09

@kylieeee

Awww fingers crossed for you lovely! I did a test 9dpo (evening) and got such a faint line that my OH couldn’t see it and said I was crazy, so hang in there! I had also done a test at 7dpo and got a BFN! Good luck! Xxx

OP posts:
lgxo · 22/10/2019 16:12

@marmitecheesetoast

Congrats! And thank you! My period still hasn’t been missed! Lucky to have quite a decent BFP on 10dpo but I’m sure I implanted on 6dpo.

And it is hard! He’s back tomorrow though for the night and then back away until Friday. He works with his brother and a load of his friends so he’s not been able to talk much on the phone about it which is annoying! But he’s just as excited as me.

And it was with the midwife! But it was just her filling in my hospital referral form and letting me know what I should be doing and stuff. Screenings should take place in about 2 weeks or so she said.

Fx we all have a happy & healthy pregnancy!

CoffeeAndCarbs · 22/10/2019 16:33

@lgxo That's great that you got to meet your midwife and have now got the ball rolling 😊 it will probably be 4-6 weeks before your first scan (such a long wait 😩) I'm 5+5 today going by LMP but know I ovulated on CD20 (1st October) so 3 weeks ago today.

Are you thinking of going for a private scan? I am considering one at 7/8 weeks just to confirm viability.

The Seven Seas vitamins are HUGE but surprisingly easy to swallow. I usually break them in half but didn't have the strength this morning so swallowed it whole with no probs (and I'm usually a gagger) 😂 x

lgxo · 22/10/2019 16:56

@CoffeeAndCarbs

Yeah, I ovulated 10th October, so only 9 days behind you! Crazy.

I’m definitely thinking of an early scan. I just don’t know when to book it for. I’m thinking 3 weeks time or so? So 7 weeks. Let me know if you decide to book one. This year has gone SO quick but I bet if I book one, the weeks will go soooo slow.

Oh god, I think I’ll steer clear from them ones then! Have you found yourself having different eating habits? I’m trying my best to get more fruit & veg in now. But I’m working late tonight & know I’m going to end up at McDonalds! X

Congrats to everyone on your BFP! Its so exciting! I am 5 weeks yesterday and I had an MMC in July with my first - and the symptoms are completely different this time- my boobs are really sore - I am nauseaous here and there - lot of acid in my stomach - tired, so its hard not to be nervous I See my midwife Friday for LABS and we are happy but its hard to be with out recent MC... has anyone experienced this? Any advice? Trying hard daily to stay positive and present not worry about the past or future... but how can you not....

EPSpartyof3 · 22/10/2019 17:16

@igxo I am right near you too-- that was when I ovulated - based on my passed we would def be doing early scans all the way through

@marmitecheesetoast congrats !
@moochaps89 congrats!

When I took my test like two days after MP - I hard dark lines then I took two digitals that said YES -hoping and praying this is our rainbow baby

lgxo · 22/10/2019 17:25

@EPSpartyof3

Congrats lovely! Ovulation buddies yay!!

So sorry to hear about your MC, this is definitely your rainbow baby ❤️ I can’t relate as this is my first pregnancy, but I can’t blame you for wanting to be so cautious.

when will you book for your first early scan?

OP posts:
EPSpartyof3 · 22/10/2019 17:33

@igxo thank you I hope so - never knew how common it was it was hard but we got pregnant quick and it’s a blessing
Ill talk to midwife Friday and I would hope 6-7 weeks and honestly I’d probably go every week after that hard not to be worried and paranoid after your world is thrown upside down with the best happiness in the world followed by sadness
But having a lot of faith and plaice and hope and trusting your body helps
So happy for you 😍 when are you booking your scan?

CoffeeAndCarbs · 22/10/2019 17:36

@lgxo 7 weeks is the earliest I'd go for one as before that may be too early to detect a heartbeat. I'm thinking of going on Saturday 9th Nov as I'll be 8+2 from LMP (7+4 from ovulation).

I've been eating so much healthier since I found out, without really trying either. I find I don't have the same want for sweet stuff. Usually I'm a sugar junkie but I haven't had chocolate, biscuits or anything sweet for nearly 2 weeks and I don't even fancy it.

I did however have a very tasty pizza on Sunday night! DH and I had been away for the weekend and were tired when we got home so just phoned one in. Weirdly, I ate the whole thing! Usually I leave at least 2 slices as I can't manage it but not this time. Didn't feel particularly starving either.

Have you had many symptoms so far? X

lgxo · 22/10/2019 17:59

@CoffeeAndCarbs

That’s exciting! Dates are so confusing! So technically if I book one at 7 weeks, I’ll be 5 weeks since ovulation. Would that be ok to book it? I know they say 7 weeks they’ll be able to see the heartbeat but is that from ovulation or from “LMP”? God it baffles my head haha.

I’ve been eating healthier too, I’m not put off any food or anything like that. Still so early though, fingers crossed I’m ok!

I’ve just got a headache today and I’m really tired. I just think I’m hungrier than usual. I’m not sure if my boobs feel bigger or not too? I have breast implants and can usually feel the actual implant quite easy (gross, I know), but today it feels like there’s a little bit of a fat layer on top of them. Idk! Haha x
