Anyone JUST found out? I’m 11dpo and found out yesterday.

Pretty much what the subject says! I’ve been looking at SO many of these threads so decided to make my own.

I found out yesterday I am pregnant! I did do an eBay cheapie 9dpo in the evening and could swear I saw a line. OH said I was crazy and imagining it but Obviously not! I then did another eBay cheapie at about 3:30pm yesterday, that came up with a faint line so we went and got some FRER, I held my wee for 4 hours and did it around 9:30pm, sure enough, a decent positive line. I’ve also done a clear blue digi this morning about 5am that came up “pregnant 1-2”. Doesn’t seem real at all, I have a midwife appointment tomorrow?! I’m sure it will feel real then.

Did anyone not really have many symptoms?

The only symptoms I have was a bleed after sex on 6dpo, my cervix went from low to high at around 8dpo. My gums are inflamed and bleed like crazy when I brush my teeth. My boobs were sore last cycle before my period but haven’t been sore at all this cycle. I have irregular cycles and didn’t ovulate until cd31 this cycle, confirmed with opk & cm. I don’t really get much ewcm so we did use pre-seed. Anyone else due date early July?

@EPSpartyof3

Fx for a happy little sticky bean for you!

And I’m not sure when to now? I know I ovulated on the 10th, so I’m adding 2 weeks from there just as a standard way to figure out due date? Would you book it For 7 weeks after ovulation day or For 5 weeks after ovulation day? X

EPSpartyof3 · 22/10/2019 18:23

@igxo I think 5 weeks after ovulation day? That’s what I am going to base everything on I think or is it first day of LMP Confused I have no idea my head is jumbled how are your symptoms
What are you having?

EPSpartyof3 · 22/10/2019 18:25

@coffeeandcarbs
Congrats!! Is this your first?? What symptoms are you having ?!

CoffeeAndCarbs · 22/10/2019 19:06

@lgxo yeah the whole dating thing is really confusing 🙈 from what I understand, the GP always adds 2 weeks to your pregnancy to begin with (it'll be adjusted at your 12 week dating scan). So at 5 weeks from ovulation, you are classed as being 7 weeks pregnant. This is gestational age of your pregnancy. It's the gestational age that they use when you go for your first scan so if you book one from 5 weeks from ovulation you will be all good 👍🏼

Apparently the heartbeat can be detected from as early as 6/6.5 weeks but I think it's best to wait a few more days just to be sure. I'd hate to go and not see a heartbeat (even if it was just because it was too early).

The big boobs thing is one of the only symptoms I am looking forward to. Will be nice to know what it feels like to have some 😂 x

@EPSpartyof3 Thank you 😊 congratulations to you to! Here's hoping for sticky beans for us all!

I'm kind of lacking in the symptoms department to be honest. I've had slight insomnia for the past 4/5 days, fall asleep no problem but wake up early hours of the morning and can't get back to sleep. I am peeing A LOT and my boobs are slightly tender but only when I brush up against something. I don't feel sick or tired... yet. I'm DREADING the nausea!

How are you feeling? X

CoffeeAndCarbs · 22/10/2019 19:07

@EPSpartyof3 and sorry yes, this is my first 🥰 x

EPSpartyof3 · 22/10/2019 19:22

@coffeeandcarbs aww so happy for you
I had my first pregnancy June and then MMC in July was hard I am 35 and this is all we have wanted very blessed to conceive and then conceive again I keep reminding myself - every pregnancy is different and so is the outcome
I’m not having a ton of symptoms either.. how far are you? We are so happy but just so cautious now... how old are you if you don’t mind me asking ?
I am seeing my
Midwife Friday for bloodwork praying for our rainbow baby
Trying hard to have mindfulness and be present not stuck in the past or worrying and have fear for the future - it’s tough thou!!

EPSpartyof3 · 22/10/2019 19:24

@coffeeandcarbs Bahahaha I just read what you said about boobs😂😂

CoffeeAndCarbs · 22/10/2019 22:48

@EPSpartyof3 Thank you 😊 so sorry to hear about your previous loss. You have the right attitude, a new pregnancy is a whole new opportunity and lightening very rarely strikes twice so I'm sure this will be your forever baby 🤞🏼

I'm 35 too and I'm 5 weeks today (5+5 from LMP but I ovulated CD20).

I had bloods taken on Thursday, will be calling tomorrow for results. My GP wants to refer me to midwives instead of me self referring as he wants to copy in the endocrinologist as I have PCOS so will probably be consultant led as my hormone levels are a bit out of whack. The doctor was very surprised I conceived naturally as I was waiting on an appointment with the fertility clinic after being referred in August 😊 I feel very lucky but also worried that the PCOS will effect the pregnancy.

Do you know your estimated due date? Mine's around 23rd June going by the NHS due date calculator x

lgxo · 23/10/2019 08:40

@CoffeeAndCarbs

Ahh perfect! I’ll book one for 3 weeks time then! Sounds like it’s round the corner but it’s 100% going to take ages now. Then the midwife dated me as 6 weeks yesterday because of missed period, so I won’t have to wait all that long for a dating scan either. I told them about the cysts on my ovaries but they didn’t say they’d push my scan forward or anything. I never got diagnosed with PCOS, but I think it is something I also have. Pretty much tick most of the boxes.

And I kinda wished I’d waited to have my boobs done now haha. They’ll be 5 years old this December, and now they’re going to be ruined Hmm haha x

@EPSpartyof3

I’m going to book it for 3 weeks today! I’ll be 6+6 then, but wednesdays & weekends are the only times I can do as my OH works away during the week but is back Wednesday nights, he only works a 2 hour drive away, but we’re not telling anyone until after the scan, so he won’t have to make an excuse as to why he’s coming home. I also can’t do the 16th Nov as the girl who works for me has booked that Saturday off so I’ll be working all day! So I’m going to book it for 13th Nov. Exciting!

And as far as symptoms, I don’t have much. Nothing when I wake up anyway. I feel like normal. But yesterday as the day went on I got a headache and was so tired. Also got lots of watery/milky cm. I’m not overly hungry either. You?

CoffeeAndCarbs · 23/10/2019 13:30

Hey Ladies,

How are you today?

I am so happy! I caved and did my last digital this morning instead of waiting until tomorrow as planned... and I got my 'Pregnant 3+' 🤩 no more testing now, will wait 2 weeks and then go for an early scan 👍🏼

@lgxo did your midwife take bloods? If you think you have PCOS then I'd push for it to be investigated, especially now you are pregnant. Chances are it won't have any impact on your pregnancy (my GP said the biggest challenge with PCOS is actually getting pregnant) but I still want to be sure that my hormone levels are ok x

Anyone JUST found out? I’m 11dpo and found out yesterday.
Lgxo · 23/10/2019 13:53

@CoffeeAndCarbs

Yay!!! Congrats! Those digital ones are on offer at the Asda behind my bakery. I might have to get them after I close. They’re 2 for £11.50- bargain. Yay 3+ weeks for you! So exciting!

I’m also very happy! I booked my early scan today! Booked for the 13th November. Thought I’d best book ASAP with OH working away he can only do wednesdays or weekends, and I can’t get that weekend off work as the girl working for me has booked it off! And there was no chance I wanted to wait until 8 weeks haha.

She didn’t take my bloods, she said the hospital will be sending me a letter to get it booked in within the next couple of weeks. Do you think I should phone them? I haven’t been diagnosed with PCOS but I just feel I tick all the boxes and the cysts are a small worry! X

CoffeeAndCarbs · 23/10/2019 14:30

@Igxo that's so exciting that you've booked your scan! Something to look forward to ☺️ I'm going to book mine tonight for Saturday 9th (I'll be 7+4). It's going to be a long 2 and half weeks 🙈

Definitely grab a couple of digitals but don't be worried if the weeks indicator doesn't match your dates, apparently they are notoriously inaccurate (although they were spot on for me).

I would make an appointment with your GP to discuss suspected PCOS as your midwife won't be able to do much I wouldn't think. Your GP should do bloods to check your hormone levels. It might even be that you have PCO and not PCOS. That's when your hormones are not imbalanced but you have the presence of cysts.

I wouldn't be too concerned as I'm sure it won't effect anything but it's worth knowing so that you can make sure you are getting the right monitoring/treatment (if either of those are necessary, they may not be).

I'm going to phone my doctors this afternoon for my blood results from last Thursday. I know they checked prolactin levels as those were elevated last time but not sure what else they were checking for. I hope they did an HCG test as I'd love to know my number x

Lgxo · 23/10/2019 14:51

@CoffeeAndCarbs

I know! Just fingers crossed I’ve got a healthy little one. Can’t wait to see a heartbeat. Three weeks feels so long away. I did have the positive digital on Monday morning and that said 1-2, so I might get them and do one Saturday. Hopefully see 2-3! Today was period day, so happy to not have it haha.

And regarding the PCOS, growing up I had very heavy periods, that lasted 7 days. So heavy I’d have to change a pad AND tampon every hour. I came off the pill almost 3 years ago, and my body did the exact same thing. That’s when I went for the scan that shown the cysts. My skin was so bad as well. I used to sweat so much in my teenage/earlier 20’s. I am quite hairy, but luckily I have fair hair so can’t see it all that much!

But when I came off the pill in early June this year, I had none of the above! My periods were heavy for one day, and then would be mellow for the rest of it, and they were only 5 days. I didn’t break out in spots either. Idk if it’s just with age or what!

And let me know what they say!! Would be interesting to hear your HCG level x

@CoffeeAndCarbs omg that is so exciting !! I am literally around the same date as your!! What do those tests do with the 3+ and 2-3? We don’t have that here where do you live??
I understand your worry completely - I have endometriosis and it’s very Similar so I always thought I wasn’t fertile- and I thought my biggest challenge would be getting pregnant - clearly
Not LOL
we were going to do fertility treatments also then we spent like 1000”$ on the bloodwork and all the test then they said it’s gonna be $50,000 and we said no- we will try naturally for a few years and if nothing then we will adopt - then I had my first pregnancy 🤰🏻 and now we have been blessed again 🌈🙏🏻🙏🏻😍
Awww that is so exciting I will see my midwife Friday for bloodwork and then probably an early scan based on my hx -
@igxo I don’t have crazy symptoms yet either my cm is milky too indigestion Stomach issues and bowel issues lol nausea a little bit here and there - mainly tired breast barely hurt just a little bit here and there and I have some
Acne which I never get ...

How are you both feeling today??🙏🏻🥰

Lgxo · 23/10/2019 15:17

@EPSpartyof3

$50,000!!! That’s crazy! I suppose it would be worth it in the end. Are you in America then?

I’m in Manchester, England. I was having cramps last night but I feel fine today. Nothing at all. Just hard to concentrate at work! Haha. But all in all, I feel good! 4 weeks tomorrow!

OP posts:
EPSpartyof3 · 23/10/2019 15:22

@Lgxo
Yes I am - I am in Florida, USA :)
we just couldn't do it- it was outrageous for a "maybe" plus insurance and we wouldn't have needed a loan - and that doesn't include after you have a baby... I didn't want to be in debt before we even started= we figured wait a few years- and then see …

YAY! 4 weeks!
I am 5 +2 I had cramps yesterday I got nervous but everything seemed fine - that's awesome! love feeling good during a pregnancy !! woohoo!

Lgxo · 23/10/2019 15:37

@EPSpartyof3

It’s a lot of money! I feel for you guys in the US, just having a baby alone is so expensive. We forgot how lucky we are in the UK to have the NHS.

It’s now just gone 3:30pm here & im starting the feel tired! It doesn’t help I’m on my feet all day, not sure what I’m going to do when I am further along.

OP posts:
EPSpartyof3 · 23/10/2019 15:46

@Lgxo
What do you do for work? Yes I am sure that makes so so much more tired than normal. Yes its tough in the healthcare - the only benefit is that I can be seen whenever I need to, so like if I am nervous I can go in at anytime and see the midwife/ or get an US- but we pay for it
Right now I am paying $900 a month for that healthcare out of pocket. So there is ups and downs I guess- hard not to wish 3 months to go by LOL...

Lgxo · 23/10/2019 16:04

@EPSpartyof3

I own a bakery😬 so baking cupcakes and brownies all day! I suppose I can take breaks whenever I want though so that’s good!

$900 a month! It’s a lot of money. Imagine what you could do with a spare $900 a month. Crazy!

@Lgxo @EPSpartyof3 Hi guys,

Sorry I've not responded before now, been really busy with work and my washing machine almost blew up last night 😩 lol.

How are you both doing?

@Lgxo did you manage to grab a couple of digitals?
@EPSpartyof3 it's crazy how much fertility treatment costs 🙈 I was on the waiting list and found out I was pregnant 2 days before my appointment came through!

Blood results showed that my prolactin levels are now within normal range which is great but they didn't check my HCG levels 😔 on the bright side though, I got my booking appointment and scan date letters through today 🤩 booking with midwife 7th Nov and 1st scan 3rd December. I am SO excited!!! I'm thinking of booking my early scan for Wednesday 6th Nov so that I've had it before I meet the midwife (I'll be 7+1 then).

It's all starting to feel a bit more real now 😊 x

EPSpartyof3 · 24/10/2019 18:03

@CoffeeAndCarbs aww that’s so exciting! I haven’t booked any scans yet but my blood test is tomorrow and if my levels are good they will prob book me first week of November ? But I have no idea yet !
How long do you guys wait for a
Scan?
Ahhh can’t believe your machine you need zero stress right now !
I just get over how different this pregnancy is my breast started hurting more today and I have a headache but I stopped drinking caffeine 😪 here they say you can but I’d rather be overly safe - I couldn’t work out Wednesday I was way too tired I’m
Trying tomorrow am before work takes a lot of effort 😂

TTC1993 · 24/10/2019 18:08

Meee im now 12dpo but took this test yesterday. Gonna take a clear blue digital tomorrow with fmu. Panicking it says not pregnant or something 🥴 xx

Anyone JUST found out? I’m 11dpo and found out yesterday.
CoffeeAndCarbs · 24/10/2019 18:15

@EPSpartyof3 I can't wait 😊 we don't have our first scan until we are 12 weeks here (really it's anytime between 11-14 weeks) so it's a long time to wait. Do you have yours at 8 weeks?

We are advised to cut caffeine to 200mg a day (2 cups of instance coffee). I switched to decaf a few months ago and am used to it now. That might be why you have a headache, because of the withdrawal. Hopefully it passes soon 🤞🏼 sounds like your symptoms are starting to ramp up 🙈 I hope they don't get too bad for you. The fact you are still trying to workout is great. My job is quite active so I count that as exercise 😂

Best of luck for your blood work tomorrow, I'm sure all will be absolutely fine! It's more real and exciting when we have appointments isn't it?!

Have you had your flu jab yet? Do you get that in the US? I had mine last week x

CoffeeAndCarbs · 24/10/2019 18:17

Congratulations @TTC1993! Don't worry if the digital isn't positive, they are far less sensitive than other tests so might just take a couple more days for your HCG levels to rise enough x
