I thought I'd start this thread for anyone who's pregnant following IVF as there are some things that are only really relevant to IVF pregnancies, like certain medications. It would be good to have some people in a similar situation to talk to.

@Whatelsecouldibecalled that must be really worrying. Thank goodness you've managed to get a scan tomorrow, (although I'm sure it feels like a lifetime away!). Are you using Crinone? Could that be what the 'tissue' was? I had a significant bright red bleed with my dd and was convinced it was all over but it all worked out ok. I've got everythjng crossed for you!

@marmite83 no I’m on utrogestan. 800mg a day 🤦‍♀️ Not sure what it was. Grim but looked like lining when on a period. Won’t know anymore until tomorrow now I guess x

Scarlett555 · 01/09/2019 18:15

Oh @Whatelsecouldibecalled you poor thing that sounds really scary. How are you doing now? Got everything crossed for tomorrow x

@Hopingforbabyd that is lovely to hear! Mine is 2.30 tomorrow eek!

Scarlett555 · 01/09/2019 18:56

Slightly tmi but on a separate note I've found a bit of cling film on the index finger (or even a condom) can be useful when taking the cyclogest 'that' way. Makes me a lot less squeamish.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 01/09/2019 19:01

@Scarlett555 yeah still pretty scared. No more bleeding today but all symptoms have disappeared. Don’t feel sick. Boobs not sore. Not tired. It’s going to be a long wait. To make matters worse in a teacher and back to school tomorrow 😫

Scarlett555 · 01/09/2019 19:14

@Whatelsecouldibecalled oh no what terrible timing! Hope you make it through the day and work is a distraction. If you did the pessary vaginally it could have irritated your cervix and caused bleeding, my clinic wanted me of this. Good luck x

Marmite83 · 01/09/2019 20:01

@Whatelsecouldibecalled that's not great timing but hopefully the day will go quickly at least. I've still got everything crossed for you!

Hi everyone. 39 weeks pregnant, having a c-section on Wednesday, our little miracle girl was our 3rd ICSI attempt over the course of 8 years trying. Congrats to everyone. xxx

Marmite83 · 01/09/2019 21:45

Welcome @lauraloo1982 and congrats. I hope Wed goes well!

@Whatelsecouldibecalled - I was also really constipated, and as well as increasing to two probiotic tablets a day, I started eating some dried fruit every day (dried apricots or figs) and that seems to have helped. It’s a bit hard because I’m so nauseous all I want to eat is white toast, and that definitely doesn’t keep everything ‘moving’! Ugh.

Passionfruit20 · 03/09/2019 18:02

Welcome and congrats @lauraloo1982 ! I hope everything is okay given you’re having a c section. Everything crossed for you!

Hopingforbabyd · 04/09/2019 12:15

Best of lucky today @lauraloo1982 xx

Hopingforbabyd · 04/09/2019 12:16

How is everyone getting on? Xx

Scarlett555 · 04/09/2019 13:33

Good luck @lauraloo1982 !

@Whatelsecouldibecalled is all okay? You've been on my mind.

Had our scan on Monday - all is well. 7 weeks today!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/09/2019 16:14

Sorry been manic with back to work but yes thank goodness all ok!! Said baby looked good heartbeat was good. Thought maybe irritated cervix from the pessaries as she couldn’t see where the bleed had come from. I’m so relieved

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/09/2019 16:14

@Scarlett555 glad all ok xx

Scarlett555 · 04/09/2019 16:37

Hooray! So glad all is okay, that must be such a relief.

Here is my little one, wonder if I'm having a penguin...🐧

Yay! @Scarlett555 @Whatelsecouldibecalled so glad your scans went well! We have ours on Monday officially I'm hoping all still okay as symptoms disappeared again today. Haha I think that may be a little penguin @Scarlett555 🙈😍 xx

Passionfruit20 · 06/09/2019 08:23

Great news @Whatelsecouldibecalled
@Scarlett555 - totally a penguin! 😂

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 06/09/2019 12:10

What point to you tell people? 10 weeks tomorrow. Would you wait until after 12 week scan? Our immediate family know as they knew about ivf. I work in a hands on environment and there’s a few things I can’t do now. Don’t want my work colleagues to just think I’m being a princess. My boss knows. We are a close knit team. Would you say or hang on? I had a scan at 9+2 due to some bleeding and all looked ok? I guess you never know. Even at 13/14 weeks after next scan things could still go wrong

Scarlett555 · 06/09/2019 12:26

When I went for my early scan the nurse told me that if you get to 9 weeks and the baby has a heartbeat the chance of miscarriage is really low, about 2%

She said a heartbeat a 6/7 weeks is really positive and the chances of something going wrong are slim but 9 weeks is the big milestone.

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I've told a few people in my team but only because I had to move desks and sit near the toilet as the morning sickness is so bad! I would probably mention it to your team if I were you but ask that people keep it quiet until after 12 weeks scan

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 06/09/2019 13:00

Thank you @Scarlett555. Makes sense. I guess I’m just over paranoid. We saw a heartbeat at 7+2 at ivf clinic and then again at 9+2 on Monday at epau. I’m hope they are both really good signs. Nurse at epau said everything looked great but you never know do you?

Hopingforbabyd · 06/09/2019 16:21

I too was wondering this! We've told a couple of family members and will tell a couple more on Monday after 8 week scan. But have told them to keep quiet. It's so uncertain with what we're going through compared to the "normal" way. But we're all dying to shout from the rooftops I'm sure! Hope you're all keeping well and that you can hold on just that little longer x

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 10/09/2019 12:51

When are you all stopping your luteal support? In due to stop cold turkey on Saturday. Bit nervous about it as on 4 pessaries a day 3 tablets and 24hr patches. Clinic said stop everything from Saturday. Eek! Will be 11 weeks on Saturday. 🤞

Hopingforbabyd · 10/09/2019 13:51

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I stopped my patches yesterday after being discharged from the clinic (1 a day) I finish my pessaries when they run out so I think about 4 days
