@Yvonne1988 I've just had to Google "Parkin" as I've never heard of it.....but now I want some 😁 It definitely hasn't found its way to the east coast yet!

I've also got DP who does very little although he is trying to help (apparently I criticise him when he tries to help and tell him he's doing it wrong. Which is true.....I like things done a certain way so it's my own fault really 🙈)

Jesskir89 · 19/08/2019 18:37

@SLT90 and @SweetChillis I could have wrote your posts! Lol I've just had a chat with dh and he's just washed the pots! And I did criticise him cleaning the sides so he said this is why I don't do it.... Haha and parkin is amazing :)

Yvonne1988 · 19/08/2019 18:39

@sweetchillis the worst thing about making it is you're supposed to leave it a week to let it go all sticky and soft. The only time I left it a week was when I made it before I went on holiday!

Jesskir89 · 19/08/2019 18:41

@satsumasaturday I wouldn't last on strike I'm afraid my ocd wouldn't let me sleep if something wasn't done I'm very routined we will have to have a talk with them lol. My dh is really good with some things like diy and taking me out etc so I can't moan at that

barnyb · 19/08/2019 20:12

@Jesskir89
Me too! I have bad OCD and my house has to be to certain standard before I could actually relax. It was really tough a few weeks ago when I was soooo poorly with sickness and extremely tired. Luckily my husband is really good and he will clean for me and do his own meals. Don't get me wrong iv snapped at him a few times recently for the odd thing (hormones) but I'm really lucky he's been amazing and supportive. 🙌🏻🍀

MummyP1g · 19/08/2019 20:13

@Dinosauraddict I've been having trouble getting my DH to understand too! He's been pretty good. Doing most of the cooking and bulk of the childcare but he just doesn't get how exhausting it is and how bad the nausea is so I'm not in the mood to engage in a conversation about dinner...just cook something! (Maybe the hormones are making me grumpy too 😂) x

barnyb · 19/08/2019 20:16

Hey guys iv started to get a proper bump ! Iv noticed today it's lovely and has rounded out. Doesn't just look like bloating. It's a different shape. Its firm and squishy at the same time. I never thought I'd ever get to the day I have an actual little bump 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😍😍❤️❤️❤️
I'm 11 weeks and 5 days today. Anyone else got this yet? Xx

Jesskir89 · 19/08/2019 20:16

@barnyb when I've been poorly my dh has helped but I've not had much sickness I think that's why he's relaxed more lol. It's a nightmare being ocd though when you just wanna chill no-one can clean like I clean so I have to do it anyway as I always re-do it if dh does it. Are you feeling better this week?

barnyb · 19/08/2019 20:21

@Jesskir89 yes I'm the exact same! He does a good job but I always find fault 🙈 I don't pick him up on it but I will secretly go over a few things when he's left the room. I do appreciate it a lot but like you say, no1 can match up. 😆
yes the last day or two iv started to feel a little better. I slept a lot at the weekend but had some bad evening nausea. However it hoping it's all going to go soon! 🤞🏼 what about you! X

Brandygirl27 · 19/08/2019 21:48

Jesskir89 · 19/08/2019 21:49

@barnyb that's good it's easing off. I'm just constantly tired feel like I'm wasting my evenings as I'm in bed for half 8 lol x

barnyb · 19/08/2019 21:58

@Jesskir89 yes last week I had a few evenings where I was really frustrated and kept saying I'm fed up and bored !! lol ! I think that's a normal feeling around this time!😌

Dinosauraddict · 20/08/2019 05:30

Well @Brandygirl27 that's a fab scan picture!

And no @barnyb I'm pretty sure I'm just looking fat/bloated!

Dinosauraddict · 20/08/2019 05:31

Oh and @Brandygirl27 you might want to crop your scan slightly - your full name and DOB is showing!

Jesskir89 · 20/08/2019 06:55

@Brandygirl27 congrats what a lovely pic :)

blondie87 · 20/08/2019 07:15

That’s a great pic @Brandygirl27 looks so much like a baby! Making me excited for my scan.

@barnyb I definitely have a bump rather than bloat now- love it.
I’ve got my 12 week scan today and can’t wait. In the end I had to pay private because we’ve moved areas and I’ve not been able to register with the midwife in time as we’re off on holiday on Friday and by the time we get back I’ll be nearly 14 weeks. Glad we’re getting it done but wow it’s £££! Not too nervous as had an NHS scan last week before we moved but baby was 2mm too small for NT test and screening but was alive and kicking!

MockingJay27 · 20/08/2019 07:24

@Brandygirl27 that's a great scan picture really clear.

I have an early scan tonight at 9+2, just couldnt wait any longer. Feeling really nervous now

Dinosauraddict · 20/08/2019 07:48

@MockingJay27 don't feel nervous, that's a great time to have a scan - you'll see lots! Grin

barnyb · 20/08/2019 08:48

@blondie87 oh no that's such a shame! I know the scans are expensive!! do u have to pay to get the bloods done too? How will that work? Xxx

barnyb · 20/08/2019 08:49

@Brandygirl27 wooooppp! Look at that long baby! With the longest legs! How lovely :-) :-) can't believe your so far ahead now! Did you drink lots of water again? Or did they not require it as your so far gone ? Xxx

blondie87 · 20/08/2019 08:54

@barnyb they also have a phlebotomist to take the bloods. I guess a benefit is that I’ll have the results back in 4-5 days but it’s an expensive perk 😂

barnyb · 20/08/2019 08:58

@blondie87 oh ok that's good then! But yes especially when your going on holiday and you need all the spending pennies ! 😅 good luck with it! and show us all a piccy!!! Iv got my scan on Thursday and I wish it was now! X

blondie87 · 20/08/2019 09:04

I will DD buddy!

Keyboard91 · 20/08/2019 09:16

@Brandygirl27 that’s a lovely scan ❤️

Ladies who are a bit further on. I started getting mild ‘symptoms’ at 6 weeks, which ramped up at 7 weeks but wasn’t awful. Then at 8+1/2 weeks I had an awful day and it’s been awful since. Isn’t it supposed to start getting easier from here ?? I’m 8+5 today. I spend all morning completely exhausted and horrid nausea. Seem to perk up between say 11 and 4 as long as I eat a white lunch, and then from 4 onwards it’s just a downward spiral. I went to bed at 7:30 yesterday as felt so nauseous, head was pounding and could barely keep my eyes open. Asleep by 8. But then woke up Every. Goddamn. Hour. So I feel even more drained and still have a headache. Still wrapped up in a blanket in my PJs now and have no motivation to shower (I can smell myself strongly and is not pleasant) and get dressed to do any of the things I need to do. Please say it’ll ease off a little soon? 🥺 i just want to cry about it 🥺 I’m trying to console myself because it means that (hopefully) baby is doing what it should ... but that’s only good for so long. I’m normally a strong person when unwell, I have neurological condition that yields pain and fatigue and all sorts of horrible things and I manage that like a breeze compared to this. Why is this so damn hard!? 🥺 sorry for the self pity moan, I know some of you have had it so much harder, I’m just finding this much harder than I thought I would and starting to stress about school which I’m sure isn’t helping but it’s not something I can control.

Aw @Keyboard91 sorry to hear you're suffering! I'm 8 weeks today and hoping it eases shortly.

I'm not as bad as you it seems but most days follow the same patterns as extremely nauseous in the morning and then again around 4pm and throughout most of the evening. Although some days have just been on and off sick throughout the day the last week or so.
