@sep30 welcome to the group, I lurked for a few weeks too! Congrats on your scan and all being well. My cyst is next to my left ovary and is 6cm, I have had slight discomfort before but never knew what it was, so I will just be a bit more aware. How have your symptoms been?

@ttc19 hope you're feeling all OK after your fall! I just had to google quickening as I had no idea what this was, but how amazing and weird at the same time. If you know you know, as you've experienced it. From the definition I may have thought I experienced quickening but mine is definitely gas haha

shellby28 · 30/08/2019 19:56

Can I join please? Edd currently 27/03/20

Dinosauraddict · 30/08/2019 23:32

Welcome @shellby28 and @sep30 !

@Yvonne1988 it sounds like more hours might be becoming available! Grin

Yvonne1988 · 31/08/2019 01:07

@Dinosauraddict I actually think she would be too stubborn to do that. A week later I told her I was pregnant and she's been nice to me since. I was trying to stick it through to get maternity pay but I just couldn't. Hopefully I'll get the allowance.

Sarah873 · 31/08/2019 07:20

Does anyone else find taking pregnancy vitamins a massive morning sickness trigger? Sad

Keyboard91 · 31/08/2019 07:40

Welcome to the new comers :)

@sarah873 I did until I switched to the liquid pregnacare which I take after dinner and it made a huge difference. Tablets were awful for me and sickness.

So have been back to work for 2 days. Was in 10 hours both days and both evenings I came home, cried and then fiancé fed me and sent me to bed. Dreading next week as it’s 6 days, that are always very busy as kids are back, and the Saturday I’m on campus until 8:30 PM 😭😭😭 I’ve also got to spend the majority of this weekend on my laptop. I’m also very achey along all the muscles from hip to hip which doesn’t help either. Roll on Oct 26th when I next get more than a 24hr break from all this.

Welcome to all the new ladies, I've been absent for a few weeks as I've been back at work and super busy!

@shellby28 my EDD is also the 27th

@Sarah873 I find this! So I switched to taking mine just before bed which helps with daytimes but means I'm guaranteed to be in sick during the night at least once! But I can cope better with that now I'm back at work.

Naylor19 · 31/08/2019 07:44

@Keyboard91 sorry it's been so hard for you! My school have been very supportive and my team are excellent so even though I've been back in since last Friday I feel like I'm coping ok so far! It's tiring but my sickness hasn't been quite as bad so that helps! Saying this I'm also counting down to October break! Luckily we break up on the 11th and get 2 weeks!

sep30 · 31/08/2019 08:10

@avocadoincident I didn't realise! Might have to think of some welsh names Smilefeel much better now I'm in week 13, just was really nauseous and have gained so much weight as it was worse if I got hungry, and with my job I couldn't feel poorly in a clinic room with my patients so very pleased that feeling is nearly gone! I definitely found with the pregnancy vits that taking with my main meal helped so much and haven't had any problems since doing that.

Dinosauraddict · 31/08/2019 08:27

@Sarah873 I have also switched to taking all my tablets on an evening!

Yvonne1988 · 31/08/2019 08:49

Been back to getting mild. Very mild cramps these last few days. Quite annoying. Wish I could remember how it was 9 years ago. I'm not worried about them, but I annoy myself thinking 'is this normal'

Naylor19 · 31/08/2019 09:10

@Yvonne1988 I've had mild cramps on and off the whole way through and I've been for 4 early scans all fine! They all reassured me it's normal so try not to worry if you can Smile

Yvonne1988 · 31/08/2019 09:31

@naylor19 I had them for ages at the start. Then disappeared. Just this week came back. I know I'm just growing.

Naylor19 · 31/08/2019 09:45

@Yvonne1988 exactly everything's just stretching :) how far along are you now?

Yvonne1988 · 31/08/2019 09:58

@Naylor19 11 weeks today. Still 2 weeks and 2 days til my scan :|

Naylor19 · 31/08/2019 10:06

@Yvonne1988 will that be your first scan? I'm 10+1 my scans on the 20th September, but I paid for another private one last Saturday so I feel ok at the moment! I'm sure everything will be fine, it's natural to worry even when you don't need to be!

Yvonne1988 · 31/08/2019 10:11

@Naylor19 I had an early one at about 7 and a half weeks. Because I kept spotting. There isn't a private bit near me at all. Closest is probably glasgow and that's an hour and a half drive.

Naylor19 · 31/08/2019 10:24

@Yvonne1988 ah that's a pain, although probably also a blessing! They can become addictive and expensive lol try to keep busy for the next couple of week and it will soon roll around I'm sure Smile

Dinosauraddict · 31/08/2019 10:52

@Yvonne1988 I've also got cramps, last night they were particularly bad, but as PP I've had 4 scans and apparently everything is fine.

avocadoincident · 31/08/2019 11:30

@sep30 we will be having a Welsh name for sure. But it has to be something my MIL can easily pronounce. On our list for boys is: Gruff, Gethin, Osian.
And girls: Betsan, Betsi, Nansi, and we have a Mabli and a Wynne

We have lots of 'short list' names but I can't think of any more of the top of my head

sep30 · 31/08/2019 12:19

@Yvonne1988 I still get cramps too on and off!

@avocadoincident great names! Xx

Yvonne1988 · 31/08/2019 12:21

I'd love a Scottish name like ceilidh .. but I have a short list of names. Got Skye on the list too.
I'm actually English but my partner is Scottish and iv been here 4 years and I just love everything about the place.

Sarah873 · 31/08/2019 15:14

@Keyboard91 glad it's not just Me! Didn't know they did it in a liquid, I'll have to have a look at that! Does it taste weird?

@Naylor19 @Dinosauraddict Yes, I take mine at night as well so it doesn't make me feel weird all day but atm they normally come straight back! If I'm unlucky with dinner too! Maybe I need to stagger it a bit better. Just feel so guilty I've not figure it out yet Sad

Naylor19 · 31/08/2019 15:30

@Sarah873 are you having it with something to eat? I find if I eat something substantial before taking it that helps too.

Dinosauraddict · 31/08/2019 18:26

@avocadoincident how do you pronounce Mabli out of interest?
