@Brandygirl27 hope you enjoyed your holiday I've only got 2 more sleeps then it's mine :) hope everyone's ok today I'm finally feeling really positive xx

Yvonne1988 · 27/08/2019 14:43

@DerbyshireGirly yes! I am. I don't remember it being so sore first time around. I coughed the other night and it's like I pulled my uterus with it 😂

Yvonne1988 · 27/08/2019 14:58

I feel great today. Didn't have the best sleep last night but I wasn't in work til half 12 so I went back to bed after dropped daughter off at school. Feel like a new person!

Keyboard91 · 27/08/2019 15:10

Had my booking appointment this morning - took over an hour and a half! Will be consult led and have to give birth in hospital but I knew that would be the case so not too worried. Was also worried as I’ve got a higher BMI and didn’t want the whole thing to be about my higher than ideal weight - but she was really lovely about it. Just got to wait for my dating scan letter for the next step!

Back to work tomorrow though - Boo! Not sure how I’m going to cope with teaching 6 days a week 😱😴

Hope everyone is doing okay xx

Anyone able to guess based on any theories? 😁

Jesskir89 · 27/08/2019 16:26

@Abi58 congrats and what a beautiful scan. Mad how much bigger you baba is to mine in 2.5 weeks!
@Keyboard91 my bmi is about 33 atm and I was worried but they didn't really mention it to me either. Women of all shapes and sizes have babies as long as you stay as healthy as pos I'm sure it'll be ok :)

ELW85 · 27/08/2019 17:11

@Abi58 - congratulations! So, so happy for you :) I’d say girl, but I’m fairly new to this nub theory stuff!

MummyP1g · 27/08/2019 17:52

@Abi58 great pic! Think I'll have to have a look into this nub theory for when I have my scan.

@Keyboard91 that's such a long appointment! Hope mine isn't that long on Sunday as we're off on holiday after. Hoping to not be consult led this time, not sure I can cope with extra scans and appointments. Glad they weren't too focused on the BMI and made you feel comfortable x

Yvonne1988 · 27/08/2019 18:09

Booking appointments are long. mine was 2 hours.

Keyboard91 · 27/08/2019 18:30

@Jesskir89 exactly! She obviously discussed things like gestational diabetes but it wasn’t in a negative way. I felt really comfortable about it. Also, her scales only added 2lb to what mine did so I was happy about that too 🙈

@MummyP1g I think it would’ve been longer as was half an hour late due to being stuck hanging over the toilet at home, so was a little rushed towards the end. I have a complex medical history so I think that is what pushed it way past the hour they say to allow! Hopefully yours isn’t as long and you finish in plenty of time to get away for your holiday!

Has anyone had a resurgence of MS? I was feeling a little better and more adventurous food wise when I was 9 weeks, yesterday I was so I’ll in the evening and today has been a bad day too (9+5). If you had a resurgence did it last long? Worrying as it’s inset Thurs and Fri and concerned about being stuck in the lecture theatres all day feeling/being sick and not being able to eat when I need too - school don’t know yet as I haven’t been there since I’ve known and there’s some members of Management I’d like to avoid to begin with....

@Jesskir89 aww lovely good luck for your scan :) we had a lovely time Thankyou :) it went to quick, I’ve got to ask 2nd or 3rd time mummys, have you felt any wierd feeling in your tummy yet ? I’m 14 weeks and I swear I’ve felt my baby with the tiniest movements!!!😍xx

Bex240 · 27/08/2019 19:05

I had my dating scan today. It was so exciting to see baby wriggling around! So good to know everything is looking as it should be!
I thought I was dead on 12 weeks today, but it turns out I'm only 11+2, so I now have a due date of 17th March - St Patrick's Day, which is fun for this Northern Irish girl!

Hope2020 · 27/08/2019 20:34

@ttc19 I don't know where my post disappeared to! Thanks for your reply, I have realised I just need to be patient.

@SLT90 I thought exactly the same about early scan and now I'm like ahhh I missed the boat I just have to wait it out. My MS has reduced but get the odd occasion where I'm caught off guard, but no where near as bad as it was weeks 6-10. Boobs still sore and heavy, get the odd few twinge in my stomach which makes me panic. Still quite fatigued though and crazy bloated but no weight gain. Hoping for a scan too but at the same time will be gutted as my hubby won't be there as the appointment says allow 4 hours or the whole morning, he can't take that much time off.

barnyb · 27/08/2019 20:52

@Yvonne1988 mine was two hours too! In a tiny room with m.w and trainee m.w and one of them stank of GARLIC !!! I was heaving the whole time and had to pretend it was because my sickness was really bad that day! Because I was too embarrassed to tell them they stank of garlic ! It was 2 hours of pure HELL 😂😂😂😂 yuck makes me feel sick thinking about it. I'm not joking, I got my preg notes out the other day and I swear they smelt of garlic ! 😂😂❤️

Yvonne1988 · 27/08/2019 21:28

@barnyb haha oh no! Mines all on an app. It's quite handy really. I only had it on Friday but I was checking to see if my blood results were up today 😂

SLT90 · 27/08/2019 21:41

@Hope2020 the 10 week to 12 week wait is nearly worse than the TTC TWW!! I keep telling myself it's only a week and a couple of days now but feels like forever away. I go from being certain all is fine to wondering if there is even a baby in there 😣 can't wait to have the pregnancy confirmed viable!!
I read that partners are allowed up to 6 hours off for 2 pregnancy appointments (usually the scans). Surely if you've been told to leave 4 hours your scan will happen! I've heard the midwife appt is normally 1-2 hours. Mine is a 2 hour booking appt and then it said on the letter my scan will most likely take place on the same day after booking in - I bloody hope so!!!!!
DH and I have both just mentioned it to our managers so that we could get the time out for the appointment. Haven't told any other colleagues.

Jesskir89 · 27/08/2019 21:51

@Brandygirl27 I will thank you. @Keyboard91 they will tell you that to cover themselves. @ELW85 what's the nub theory?

Jesskir89 · 27/08/2019 22:11

Also for ladies looking at prams have a look on online4babys it's an online shop near my house my friend told me about today. They do icklebubba pram bundles from around 300 including car seat etc and they're really nice

Sushirolls · 28/08/2019 02:08

Hello,

Not sure if Im imposing as its my DD who is expecting. I posted last year, when she was expecting my DGS.

She doesn`t have an exact due date yet, as she is waiting for her scan. We just have mid-end March at the moment.

Best wishes to all x

Dinosauraddict · 28/08/2019 06:53

I've been off here for a couple days, yesterday was my first day back at work after having to take a few days off last week and I'm really exhausted. Great news about your scan @Bex240 and wow re movements @Brandygirl27 (this is my DC1 so I can't help, but that is amazingly early, I can't wait to feel them)! Good to see this thread so positive and moving forward - 6 weeks or so ago we were all so worried and anxious!
I'm 12+0 today, which feels like a great milestone. My next scan is Tuesday when I'll be 12+6 so counting down the days to that!

avocadoincident · 28/08/2019 07:27

Congratulations @Sushirolls. How's your daughter doing?

maybenextmonth · 28/08/2019 07:56

Hi everyone, I've not posted for ages but have been following and it's great to see everyone's scan pictures and see that everyone is doing okay.

Am Wondering if anyone is suffering from headaches? I'm 12+1 today last week I felt much better, was much less tired and no sickness but as of Sunday it's all come back, including these headaches that aren't awful (I hope I haven't spoken too soon!) but hang around all day and I just can't shift them. I feel thirsty so am drinking loads to make sure it's not dehydration. Have been using Forehead which I've annoyingly left at home today and also the occasional paracetamol, but I'm trying to avoid these where possible. Anyone else?

I've got my dating scan on Saturday and it can't come soon enough, I'm so excited but so nervous too.

Sushirolls · 28/08/2019 07:57

Thank you @avocadoincident Smile

Early days yet as she is only 10 weeks (afawk) and a little apprehensive as DD has an extreme needle phobia, so had no bloods last time until active labour, where they discovered she is Rhes- and DGS is Rhes+ Sad Unfortunately, by the time she was told, she was no longer in the throes of labour so didn`t have the AntiD injection Sad

We have tried other avenues in the past, to overcome it, and she is about to start hypnotherapy.

So as you can imagine, there is concern about viability of current DGC but we are hoping that hypnotherapy will be successful. We are trying to stay positive Smile

I hope that all is well with you x

Keyboard91 · 28/08/2019 08:05

Welcome @sushirolls my friend has needle phobia and also faints at the mention of blood - she found hypnotherapy really positive and then worked really closely with her midwife 1:1 weekly and in the end she was able to allow the midwife to take blood quickly (although she still found it incredibly uncomfortable). Hopefully your DD will be able to find something that works for her 🤞

@maybenextmonth I’ve had headaches on and off since 6 weeks. Not migraines but enough to make me feel awful. I’ve found 4Head mixed with paracetamol and one of those gel migraine relief strips seem to shift it, or at least shift it enough that it’s just a little niggle.

Good luck for scans this week ladies!

I return back to school today. It’s an easier day today and then Thursday and Friday are full on, not many breaks, use your brain all day type affairs so rather nervous. I will check in when I can to catch up with you all :)

I'm getting headaches nearly every day but I think it's due to me not sleeping very well. Got that 4head yesterday and it seems alright actually.
