Hi girls sorry my phone has been playing up today and froze so I missed half the chat and posted to @Keyboard91 twice sorry about that. Welcome new ladies :) @Ninjamomma lovely pic! @barnyb I really want a solvercross but dh is refusing to spend that money so don't know what I'll do. I've got a private scan tomorrow really excited for it now

MunchyMunchkin · 23/08/2019 19:52

Great news @Ninjamomma

ttc19 · 23/08/2019 20:07

PRAM CHAT - For the ladies looking at hardwearing prams if you can get your hands on a second hand Silver Cross Surf all terrain (discontinued just as I bought mine 6 years ago) I'd strongly recommend it. We've taken it across cobbles, beaches, sand dunes, burrows.. you name it. It has a massive tyre on the front (three wheeler) that can be clicked off and changed for two smaller wheels if you want a "city/pavement" pram. Can't wait to get mine out again!

*Open the picture to see both wheel options!

Jesskir89 · 23/08/2019 20:33

Thanks @ttc19. @MunchyMunchkin how have you found out the gender so early?

ineedanotherholiday · 23/08/2019 20:43

Evening ladies!

Anyone else finding that they're having some days where they can't keep anything down and others that are fine? Yesterday I didn't keep a think down, today had the odd bout of nausea but nothing too strong and no sickness. Have eat a few different things although still some aversions (cannot even think about meat! Envy) I had a couple of days like this last week too.

Loving seeing all the scan photos, can't wait for mine. I've got one next Friday at 9+3, was a bit worried with the fluctuating symptoms, not so much now but just feels a bit strange. Even though we had a scan at 6+6 and saw healthy little bean it still doesn't feel like there's anything in there!

Sarah873 · 23/08/2019 20:52

Prams!
We were gifted a Sola2 for ds1, which I loved and the travel system bit really made such a difference in the early weeks being about to go about you life without disturbing a sleeping newborn.
I think having seen all the different pram our friends chose I really liked the uppababy vista where when fully reclined the hood was totally colossal! Which was great for day naps in summertime with a slightly older bubba

MunchyMunchkin · 23/08/2019 21:14

@jesskir89 if you pay privately for the nipty test you get the result of the babies sex as it looks at the fetal dna.
The result is still sat in my inbox, unread.

ELW85 · 23/08/2019 22:20

@Ninjamomma - congrats! Great scan photo.

@ineedanotherholiday - my nausea fluctuates all the time to the point of going for an early scan last weekend, where we saw the baby at 8+5 with a heartbeat so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 everything is going great.
Please don’t worry about everything fluctuating, it’s really common!

Pram wise, does anyone have any experience of the Cosatto quad or the Occaro?

MissPepper8 · 23/08/2019 22:22

Sorry I'm a bit late but can I join in? I'm due 15th March.

We're not finding out but we have 1 DS. I've already been in hospital as I have HG and I've lost 10lbs cause I'm like a vomit machine and it's bloody depressing :/

Jesskir89 · 23/08/2019 22:36

@MunchyMunchkin that's exciting :) never heard of this test before thanks for the info. @misspepper8 welcome and sorry you're having a tough time :( hopefully it will ease up soon

MissPepper8 · 23/08/2019 22:57

@Jesskir89 Thank you hun, hope so! Had HG with DS. This has been the worst so far.

It's the nausea that gets me, and I have total food/fluid aversion. Dont really fancy eating or drinking. And if I do eat anything that's not dry I vomit.

Frillyfarmer · 24/08/2019 06:53

@CornishMaid1 I'm out in the country, we're farmers so I needed something robust! I have the icandy peach all terrain and I do really love it!

threegreensheep · 24/08/2019 07:24

I have the Uppababy Vista and I love it! Yes it's big but the wheels are great am still doing well for my 20 month old. Massive basket too. Can also convert to a double if needed. It's expensive but we got a deal on the system etc. I didn't look till well over 25 weeks last time though - not till past viability, was too scared.

blondie87 · 24/08/2019 07:40

Lovely scan picture @Ninjamomma!
Got the results of my NT screening and came back negative and low risk for all trisomies. I feel like I’ve finally invested in this and can get excited! We’re off on holiday so I’ll be offline mostly but I hope everyone with scans this week has a good experience!

Jesskir89 · 24/08/2019 07:42

@MissPepper8 I've been fortunate enough to barely have any sickness can they not give you anything for it?

Frillyfarmer · 24/08/2019 08:02

@threegreensheep I was the same and I won't be buying anything this time until well after 20weeks!

MunchyMunchkin · 24/08/2019 08:09

@ELW85 I’ve got a giggle (no quad when dd was born). They’re made in the UK, quality is great and I’ve never had any problems with it. The seat unit still fit tall DD age 3.
Basket not massive on mine but looks much bigger on the quad.
They tend to do offers with a free car seat a few times a year so worth holding out for one of those - all advertised on their social media and all outlets do the deal so just buy from the cheapest.
Only their car seat is compatible with it which may be an issue if you wanted to use as a travel system but also want one of those fancy low flat car seats.

ELW85 · 24/08/2019 08:48

@MunchyMunchkin - thank you so much for the reply, that’s great to know!
I think I’ve seen a deal on at the moment for £740 (quad) with the car seat, base, foootmuff etc but also looking at the Ocarro too which is a similar price for the same combo (half price offer) so trying to figure it all out!

Ginandtonic31 · 24/08/2019 09:01

@Ninjamomma thank you for thinking of me and my scan on Thursday. Everything was fine and baby was measuring to the day. Two more weeks until the next scan when I will be exactly 13 weeks. I'm really hoping that's the last of the bleeding now. Especially as I'm rhesus negative. Your scan was looking lovely!

I've definitely not looked at anything baby related yet! Far too early for me! Will think about all that after Christmas! Someone recommended Ickle Bubba prams to me though and price seemed excellent. But will look more in depth next year. I have however been looking at holidays and trying to get a sun holiday in this year before family holidays are the norm! Thinking of booking a holiday to Dubai when I'm around 16 weeks.

MunchyMunchkin · 24/08/2019 09:51

@ELW85 they also have a 4 year guarantee which I thought was great.

MissPepper8 · 24/08/2019 10:16

@Jesskir89 That's good, it's not nice x I've got ondansetron but because I'm first trimester and baby is developing I'm a bit worried it will hurt babys development x

Jesskir89 · 24/08/2019 12:55

@MissPepper8 see how you get on :) had my private scan this morning ladies very happy all is well and heard the heart beat. I've got a right wiggler!

Hey girls had my scan, now measuring 9+1 back to due date of 27th March ☺️ baby had grown lots! Saw a little leg sticking out and heartbeat, what a relief! Roll on 20th September for the next one! x

Naylor19 · 24/08/2019 14:14

@Jesskir89 lovely scan, very clear! :) x
