Hi Everyone, not heard from a few of you for a while - just thought I would check up on you all and your beanie's.

Hope all is well and would like to hear about your latest scans and if we know any sexes yet..

Take care - love Rah XX

Miss you all XX

Fettle - big congratulations on the arrival of Toby, big hugs from me to both of you.

Rah - I would not choose another epidural, but pethadine and I don't get on either, good job that dd was just gas and air and very quick about it only a couple of hours of labour. I am hoping this one will fly out and not let me labour more than half an hour at max, although I need enough warning to get the midwife to arrive I suppose!

Ready - sorry that your house sale is not going smoothly, solicitors can be so so slow.

MrsMc - great to hear that you are finally getting positive news on your house, hope it all goes smoothly. But at the same time, I don't want you to move to spain yet, how will we all have a meet-up if you are out of the country so far away!!!!!

Iampg - hi good to see you back again, how are you?

Greedy - not long for you now, hope these last couple of weeks prepare you for the sleepless nights onslaught!!!!

I am feeling very sick and tired still. Often needing a nap in the day to keep going. TV is a great invention for kids when you need a 10 minute nap time! I am still a little anxious, I am avoiding the due date board as there are a few missed miscarriages going on there at the moment and I just want to burrow my head in the sand about it, the affects of my m/c are still quite raw, I wish I could forget and just focus on this one for a bit. Sorry did not mean to have a self-indulgent moment there. I will go and think happy thoughts about the arrival of Toby instead.

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/09/2007 08:51

rah - i ams ure your holiday will be FAB!! i agree with fettle about the whole relaxing/concieving thing, it does seem to be true but obviously virtually impossible to tell yourself to relax. when do you go away then?

rainbowdays - i think all the 'due in' threads go through that stage and its horible isn't it. i cant ever imagine how hard it must be to be pg after a mc, but you are still feeling sicky and you have had 2 successful pgs in the past, so i am sure this one will be fine. you have had your bit of bad luck and everything will be good from now on.

no news from me! thought i was in labour last night, but then i thought that last fri too! must be a fri night thing! have put our bottle of moet in the fridge now to drink when i get back from hospital!!! i had better have this little girl soon cos my willpower has gone out of the window on the whole no alcohol thing!!! had a glass of wine last night and the night before.....whoops!!!

have a great weekend all! i only have one room to decorate this weekend and thats the downstairs toilet so its not exactly huge and shouldn't take too long!!! still in bed at the moment!!!.....kids are watching tv and moaning they are hungry!!!..........am i supposed to feed them too???!!

MrsMcJnr · 23/09/2007 15:25

Hey ladies so excited ? we?ve just bought our buggy!! after weeks and weeks of deliberation and homework and leg work and hunting on the internet ? we have finally decided In the end we decided not to compromise and go for what we really wanted and so with a big breath (and feeling slightly sick about the price), we ordered our bugaboo cameleon plus but then, we found that it we ordered the foot muff and car seat adaptors we?d get the maxi cosi car seat free which is a great bonus and even better DPIL want to pay half . It feels so real and massive and a bit scary ordering the buggy but we were told that time would become and issue soon as there is am 8 week lead time at the mo. DH is so excited!!

So how are you all?

Rah ? go for the holiday hon, sounds lovely (did you ever get that holiday when we were talking about them back in May?!) I hate flying too and am dreading how uncomfy and grumpy I will be when we fly to Spain on Friday ? we go EasyJet and the flights at 7am!

Greedy ? call me a sadist but I just had to get the tape measure out to see how big that circumference was ? maybe no drugs is a very bad idea! sorry to hear that you had another false alarm, get that moet in the fridge though as it won?t be long. I like the taste of wine again, I have to admit, I only have a couple of cms when I do have any and Beanie kicks like mad not sure what I should deduce from that! I?ve heard of people having a glass of champagne when the contractions start ? would be worth having lots of false alarms hope the house really is nearly there now

Fettle ? floated out? Wow those drugs WERE good! how is the little man?

Rainbowdays ? hey you thanks hon but don?t worry, we won?t be going anywhere until the end of March at the earliest and even then, I promise to post from there! sorry to hear that you feel sick and tired sorry to hear about the mmc on you?re an thread ? I know exactly what you mean, I took every loss personally and they all rocked me ? that said, we?ve been so lucky on the Jan thread, there really have been very few (touch wood) not like when I was on the October thread. Chin up repeat after me ?healthy and well?

nh101 · 24/09/2007 15:28

Are there any benefits to carrying on temping after you get PG? I know if your temp drops it can mean MC, but I'd rather not know thanks very much! Are there any other reasons?

MrsMcJnr · 24/09/2007 15:45

nh101 - please, please, please don't carry on temping! do you remember what happened to me? I totally freaked when I was 7+3 and my temp dropped a bit, I was sure it was all over. I read all I could and whilst it can be useful to temp for 14 or so days after getting your BFP as a drop below the coverline can (but might not) be an early warning sign for a mc, after that, it appears to not tell you anything. I was sick with worry at the time and stopped temping a few days later (as I had a scan booked anyway which said that all was well)

nh101 · 24/09/2007 17:00

Yes I do remember! That is why I don't want to carry on but just thought I'd ask just in case there was some reason to. Thanks MrsMc

Ready · 24/09/2007 18:55

Hi... I have no time for my usual epic posts... but just wanted to say that I may be away from MN for a little while... not sure what the internet access is going to be like.

I will still be able to check emails, but not going to leave mumsnet in the history of my MILs computer - so I will be able to tell you if something exciting happens!

Thinking of you all

RahRah1 · 24/09/2007 20:33

MrsMcJnr - have a fab time in Spain. I'm terrible flying I get very panicky and hang on for my life! I stress myself rotten! Oh well it will be worth it when we get there.

Don't worry Ready, I will update the gang on any hot details!

Hello to everyone else, hope everyone is well.

Rainbowdays · 26/09/2007 10:47

I am still in the midst of horrible morning sickness, 12 weeks now so hopefully I will get to hear the babys heartbeat soon to reassure me that all is well.

Rah - hope your herbs are going well.... can't quite bear even the thought of how horrible they taste, but hey if it works then that would be great.

Ready - hope you are having a good time away at MILs... I still hope no news is good news and await email to tell us so.

MrsMc - forgot to ask how your bump is, are you getting uncomfortable yet, or are you still in the wonderful blooming stage?

Fettle - hope mini-fettle is being good for you.

Greeedy - hope you are not getting too frustrated waiting (or ofcourse that you have popped already!)

hi everyone else too.

goingfor3 · 26/09/2007 10:49

Rainbowdays, sorry to gate crash but I'm really happy that you are past the 12 week mark!

Rainbowdays · 26/09/2007 10:56

Goingfor3 - hi, so good to hear from you, I hope you are doing ok? If you want to email me, then please do on thingingoftrying at yahoo.co.uk, I would love to hear from you.

goingfor3 · 26/09/2007 12:09

Rainbowdays, I just emailed you

MrsMcJnr · 26/09/2007 12:30

Are the herbs smelly Rah? [smile

Rainbowdays ? I hope you feel much better soon, I think the stage you are currently at was the worst I?ve felt so far so I do sympathise. Hope you hear that wonderful heart beat I?m good, bump is coming along, its definitely there and I am not sick of it yet, its not that big yet that it gets in the way. I am starting to get really tired again but that might be because I need a holiday have my 24 growth scan and consultant clinic tomorrow ? getting nervous as I always do!

Hey Goingfor3

Rainbowdays · 27/09/2007 10:20

MrsMc - Hope you have a fantastic and enjoyable scan today... thinking of you.

RahRah1 · 27/09/2007 11:11

Howdy guys

Rainbowdays - when is your 12 week scan? Sure your sickness will disappear soon.

MrsMcJnr - Good luck for you growth scan, I bet the baby is about 1lb 10, they can give it a rough weight, which is all very interesting.

Hope everyone else is OK. I will update you on Ready if I hear anything. (fingers crossed it is good news!)

fettleandbabyfettle · 27/09/2007 12:17

Rah - how the herbs going? You're not making them sound too yummy?!!!]

I've posted some pics of Toby by the way, if you want to see them.

Rainbowy - hang in there with the sickness

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2007 13:23

Afternoon ladies growth scan went well this morning, the baby is quite big for dates and they seemed pleased. It was kicking about, yawning, drinking etc, looked really human, it was fantastic I?ll post new pics as soon as I have time. I think the baby?s profile is just like my DH?s. This was where the fun ended though, went to see my Consultant who took one look at me and asked if we?d been away, when I said we hadn?t and that I thought being brown was a nice side effect she got quite worried and looked at my scars to see the pigment. Apparently this coupled with my sudden high blood pressure could mean that I have Addison?s disease which I understand means that your adrenal glands don?t produce enough cortisol. So, they took a whole load of blood and because it wasn?t long after my daily heparin jab, the blood wouldn?t stop flowing which was a bit messy. Then I had to have a very sore cortisol jab in my bum DH found that very funny. Then we had to wait 30 mins to see what happened before more blood tests. I felt so weird like I?d had a few cans of Red Bull and Beanie was kicking like mad! We go to Spain at 5am so they are rushing the results through this afternoon but chances are if I need medication, I?ll need to get it in Spain. What a palaver! Anyway, I shall try and catch up before I sign off for a week but I do have loads of work to do so I hope you all keep well and whilst I will try and log on during the week, I might not be able to xx

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2007 13:44

Thanks ladies for all your good wishes for the scan

Good guess Rah weight was 0.78kg?s so 1lb7?! the liquor volume is still fine and the placenta is far away from the cervix. They also showed us the measurements on a chart (head circumference ? 229mm, Biparietal diameter of the head ? 61mm, abdominal circumference 206mm and femur length 46mm) and all the measurements are in the higher but still normal range for dates and apparently that is good.

Thinking of you Ready and hope you all have a successful cycle!

RahRah1 · 28/09/2007 21:41

WOW, I was very close. Bertie was 1lb 7 when he was born! So glad the measurements are all good.
Ready emailed and unfortunately she is on a new cycle So no good updates about that. But her house sale has gone more smoothly, so hopefully next month she will have far less stress!

We also exchanged today... WOOOOHOOO

Got to go as my sister has come for the weekend. And going to celebrate about selling the house...YIPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE

Hello ladies
I had thought that it would be a long while til I could get back on MN. However, DH and I decided to buy ourselves a laptop today. YAY. So I am sitting on the sofa at my MILs watching Match of The Day!! and chatting away safyely on MN and no-one (except DH) knows what I am doing

As Rah has said I am in my new cycle, darn. I am disappointed, but to be honest, with everything going on, it probably for the best??

Soooo.. how is everyone??

Right... I have emails to write

Rainbowdays · 01/10/2007 18:19

Just to let you know that I will be out of communication for a while again as I am having to leave home to go to a job elsewhere, and will not have easy internet access.

will try to get back when I can.

greedygreedyguzzler · 01/10/2007 18:58

hey ready ! nice to have you back!! laptops are the best invention ever aren't they??!!! sorry you are on a new cycle, but you sound pretty optimistic and 'readylike' to me!!
