Rainbowdays · 14/08/2007 20:05

My plumber turned up - yippy, sorry, just wanted to share the good news !!!!

Ready · 15/08/2007 21:18

Hello all.

Rah - Hope you are ok after your temp dip. Big hug.

Rainbowdays - I do seem to be in good company with all the movers, just need a bump to go with it and I'll fit right in

Greedy - You were so right to get MrsMc to email that pic to me. Jeesh. That was a treat for the eyes

MrsMcJnr - Thanks again for the pic My fingers are still firmly crossed that someone will snap your house up real soon.

Fettle - When our stuff goes into storage and we have to stay in a hotel, I am going to beg for the Hilton although we are probably going to do an Alan Partridge and be there for weeks, so might do a few nights somewhere posh How's it all going?

Honeyapple - Hahaha, I am still laughing at your news - well, not the news itself, but the explanation of it . A boy huh!! Give us a clue on names??

Iampgatlast - Yep, we have sold our house, it's going through the conveyancing at the mo, hope to complete early Sept. Then we'll be in hotels until we know where we are going, and can find a rental property. It's all go! How are you doing? When do you move into your new house?

Seaside - Hope you are not working too hard? Hope all is well

Who have I missed... hello to you too

MrsMcJnr · 16/08/2007 09:31

Greedy ? how is the house looking now? Any better?

Rainbowdays ? If I didn?t know how things like plumbers turning up excited us ladies, I?d think your post was in code

Ready glad to be of service! hope you are still rubbing your sold sign for me (open viewings tonight ? fingers crossed!) still rubbing the bump for you! tell you something weird, after all those months of grapefruit juice, I haven?t bought any for ages, had some earlier and I have really gone off the stuff ? it is so sour a few years back, we had a flood in our flat and had to move out (at the insurer?s expense) we decided to get a city apartment for a couple of weeks instead of a hotel and we had a total ball, it was right in the centre of town, there was a spa and a dry cleaner and we ate out in all our favourite places every night ? plus I made the most of not having to do any house work!! every cloud hey?!

Rah ? how are things with you hon?

RahRah1 · 16/08/2007 22:14

Howdy peeps...

WOW took me ages to find this thread... these pregnant people know how to type and post millions of posts!

Well good news from my camp, we sold our house today...YIPPPPEEEEEEEE, we have brought a new house on a development in Leamington Spa. Its a 3 bedroomed detached, with a garage! (We have never had a garage before so we a defo posh now!)

Can't believe it sold so quickly. We had two offers, but we took the one from the couple who had no chain, where the other couple still had their flat to sell Which was a shame as they were very nice, but so are the couple that brought it, so alls good!

I am busy planning new furniture for my new house... LOL!!! SHOP's here I come!!!!

MrsMcJnr - sounds like you had a great time when you had a flood How has the open house gone. Hope you found a buyer! It just takes one person to fall in love with it and there you go... SOLD! We were lucky as at the moment the market is just so slow and the holiday season is not helping either. Fortunately we live in an area where people are always looking for house's, where they live in the local flats and need somewhere bigger after having a kid.

Better go... speak soon and hope all bumps are happy and safe! Xx

Hi all

Congratulations on the house sale and purchase Rah!!! We're happily settling into our own house at last after nearly 4 years in army housing. Very chaotic still at the moment, but hopefully we'll be sorted soon. All back to work and nursery on Monday, so have to be in some fit state by then. Poor DH starts his new job on Monday - just hope it's not a 7.30am to 8pm job, like ones he's had before! Could do with a family-friendly one at the moment!

Ready - congratulations to you too on your house sale! Hope you find a good hotel for your homeless time - although Mrs' plan of a flat sounds like a great idea too! Hilton was good, but we only really went there, as it is where we stayed the last 2 times we moved house and DD now thinks it is part of the ritual of moving!! She loves going swimming after nursery and then having supper in the bar before going to bed. DH and i were in bed shortly after her at 7.30am both nights watching telly quietly, which was great (although I was actually working on a work presentation in bed until 10pm one night!).

Rainbowdays - bit worried about you and the plumber!

Must go sleeping now!!

Take care all

MrsMcJnr · 17/08/2007 09:46

Hey Rah congratulations on the house sale I am very ours has nearly been on the market for a year now New house sounds lovely let?s hope this a sign of your luck changing. No viewers last night it is so soul destroying but the schools go back on Monday so maybe that will make a difference, it is a family home out of town so that?s our market really. I know what you mean about that one person but it just feels like he/she doesn?t exist at the mo!

Fettle ? I hope the weekend sees you all organised for Monday! It?s all go with you

RahRah1 · 18/08/2007 12:35

MrsMcJnr - sorry to hear about your house. The market is very slow at the moment. People are having to really reduce what they are asking aswell... The mortgages are just too high!
Where are you planning to move too?

Hello to everyone, hope you have a nice weekend. My DH is at V festival and having a good old time where I'm at home, came on and wallowing in self pity and chocolate! and the weather is pants! Whoops sorry for the Rant.... Rainbowdays please can you have a rant for me!

OP posts:
Ready · 18/08/2007 13:27

This is my theory.... Rah and I have sold our houses and are now patiently (yeah, right, who are we kidding ) waiting for our BFP - and that is next!! Just around the corner!!! And MrsMc you've got your BFP so the house sale is next! Just around the corner!! It won't be long for all of us! We will get there!!!

My positivity has returned

  • feel free to slap me
fettleandminifettle · 18/08/2007 14:19

Yeah - the old Ready is back!! I've really missed you!!! And I like you thinking for both you and Rah and Mrs as well!!

Isnt' this weather so dark and dreary - have so much to do in the house, and just can't motivate myself - must go and do it though. DH is getting on with his jobs - I've got as far as the washing up and given up again - hence why i'm on here!!!

Better go! Rah, have you any chocolate, you can send me?!!!
xxxx

Rainbowdays · 18/08/2007 19:47

Well thank you kind ladies for not thinking me totally nuts with the plumber excitement. But he did get me a cold water supply fitted, now just have to work on getting him back to give us some hot water to go with it, alongside the toilet connections!!!! Oh the joys of it all. But at least it is managing to keep me slightly distracted from worrying about the upcoming scan.

Rah - yippy on the house sale, I miss leamington spa....!

MrsMc - really hope a home-seeking family turn up really soon for you.

Ready - you are sounding like your old self again!!!!

Fettle - get yourself motivated before that old nesting instinct takes over.... or you will have to be nesting twice as fast!

RahRah1 · 18/08/2007 20:28

Where's my rant Rainbowdays... I did ask for one!

Glad the plummer was a distraction !

Fettle.... your too fat already, so keep your mitts away from my chocolate!

OP posts:
fettleandminifettle · 18/08/2007 20:49

What do you mean I'm too fat, Rah?? how do you know how much weight I've put on recently?!!. I'd love to pretend it is all down to baby and it will all come off easily, but you're right, chocolate is not a good idea! You should hear Greedy's arguments over weight - all comes down to size of boobs, length of hair and legs!!!.

I just eat too much and don't exercise enough! (and I have big boobs and long hair and long legs!).

Rainbow - hope you get your hot water back soon - couldn't cope without lovely warm showers! Don't worry, we did get on and do some more this afternoon - I'm seeing the light at the end of the unpacking tunnel, but I haven't dared venture into the spare room yet, where all the unpacked boxes are - luckily we don't have any plans for anyone to come and stay for a while!

RahRah1 · 19/08/2007 17:31

I'm sure its all down to baby!! Well at least thats what you can tell everyone... I once met this women in Habitat and she told me she put on over 6 stone in pregnancy! OMG ... in fact I would of thought that kind of weight gain would be dangerous!
Don't worry I'm just jealous, pregnancy is always a good excuse to be able to eat most things and think about it later! I only made that comment as you must have quite a big tummy now! Not long now!

OP posts:
RahRah1 · 19/08/2007 17:33

Rah is now leaving the thread with her foot firmly in her mouth and will return when its been surgically removed! Sorry Fettle Xx
(I might be a while as my foot seems rather large!)

OP posts:
fettleandminifettle · 19/08/2007 17:34

6 stone! how did she manage that? How did she lose it? Did she lose it?

Do have a pretty big bump, but I'm going for a growth scan on Tuesday, as consultant thinks I'm measuring a bit small. I think I've grown lots in last couple of weeks, so hopefully all will be ok on Tuesday.

hope you had a good weekend - the weather down here has been awful!

xxx

RahRah1 · 19/08/2007 18:02

Those growth charts are a nightmare. They normally sort themselves out. My friend was told hers was measuring that it would be really big and it only turned out to be 7lb odd...

I did not ask the lady in habitat, as only just met her. She worked there and we were getting things when I was pregnant for the house to prepare for the baby. So we got chatting about my pregnancy and she started telling me about hers. But to be honest looking at her, I don't think she had lost all the weight, but she did say she had gestational diabetes. So I don't think that helped!

Weekend has been OK thanks, hope yours was OK. The weather has been awful! My husband is at the V festival, so is getting soaking! serves him right for going there and leaving me at home

OP posts:
Rainbowdays · 19/08/2007 20:46

wrote long post and electicity failed for a second so lost it - arggg. So briefly:

Growth scans, I don't believe them as I know of someone who was told they would have a low birth-weight baby, and docs were concerned .... but turned out to be 11lb 4oz, huge bubba, her first and born naturally - ouch!!!

Fettle - don't fret about me having hot water, it is our new house that we are building that only has cold at the moment, I am just impatient to get the hot water connected so that we can move in. Hope that the packing boxes are out of your way now and that you have your feet up relaxing.

fettleandminifettle · 21/08/2007 19:48

Hi all

Just thought I'd let you know that i had my scan this morning. All ok - baby is measuring around 38 weeks, so considering I'm 34 weeks, definitely not small anymore!! head circumference was off the scale, so slightly concerning. But consultant has said that I won't be allowed to go much beyond my due date, which is quite a relief to hear.

DD was 7lb 4.5oz at 36+4wks, so considering this one is my 2nd and a boy, I was expecting it to be bigger, so it isn't really that much of a surprise and as everyone says these scans aren't that accurate anyway!

Hope all is well with you all!

Ready · 24/08/2007 11:53

How is everyone?? I am gearing up for CD1 tomorrow. Tut. Next month will be my month!!! Stupidly optimistic? Yep, that's me But then, lots of people say that the HSG clears the tubes and a BFP comes quickly!!!

Saw consultant this week, and results from HSG are perfect. Tubes clear and spilled perfectly. Uterus perfect size, shape and outline. 10/10 . He says he is confident it is only a matter of time.

MrsMcJnr · 24/08/2007 12:41

Hey everyone [smile[ lost you for a while there. Thanks for all the good vibes for the house, right back at you for BFPs Ready and Rah xx

Rainbowdays · 24/08/2007 22:02

Ready - good on you for being greatly optimistic. I hope that cd1 comes and goes without misery. Next month will be it definitely...

Rah - how are you too?

Hi everyone else too.

fettleandminifettle · 25/08/2007 10:58

Ready - great news that nothing has been shown up wrong so far - not that it makes the waiting any easier though, I'm sure.

Everything focussed on this month being your month - I've heard before that the HSG clears out the tubes and makes it easier - so really keeping every crossed for you!!

hope all well with you Rah, too!!

take care

RahRah1 · 25/08/2007 22:22

Howdy peeps.

I'm a wee bit drunk, so might not make any sense!

Hope all is well.

A little bit stressed! My husband (the idiot!) somehow let his car roll down a hill and smash into another car this week. Insurance job! It involved three cars and we have to pay out on all of them ... GRRRRRR..
We are also having a bit of a tiff with our new builders about our kitchen, long story but very annoying! We love the house but the kitchen is badly designed and is a bit crap! SO my husband is going down to meet the site manager and get him a strangle hold until he sorts it out!
fettle - glad the scan went ok.. sounds like your having a bit of a big babe , but that said that to my mate and hers came out smaller than her first! Not long now and you will be meeting the little bruiser!

Hope everyone else is well!

Had a barbie today, so very full up and tippy, so signing of for some......you know what! See you laters!
