I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.

Just got my tablets from the doctor for my nausea omg it's all gone these tablets are amazing

Imagineit · 20/08/2019 13:56

@lilyj13 what did they give you? I’ve been on cyclizine and metaclopromide the last three days, they are helping but I am an absolute zombie 😴😴😴

Makingawish · 20/08/2019 14:31

Can I ask what people's experience is with discharge? I've had a tiny bit today in my underwear which is yellow/brown tinged but literally zero when I wipe 🤔

Imagineit · 20/08/2019 14:47

@Makingawish I had brown spotting off and on throughout my first trimester in both my other pregnancies

lilyj13 · 20/08/2019 15:02

@Imagineit I have got ondansetron very strong drugs, I tired the ones you have and they didn't touch my nausea. Now I don't feel nauseas at all, just very tired

ecoloco · 20/08/2019 15:31

Wow lots to catch up on! Hi everyone!

@lilyj13 glad you're feeling better!

@nomorewinedayfriday pregnancy with a toddler is a whole different game, isn't it? Only 6+3 and finding the days at home with DS so hard - feeling sick and exhausted, but he still needs me to carry on as normal rather Sad

Had my private early scan this morning - saw little heart beating away, which was lovely.

mumma2b2020 · 20/08/2019 15:54

Huge congratulations! I'm due March 31st! Smile

Ruthsoph · 20/08/2019 16:03

@ecoloco thats great about the heart beat - i was considering having an early scan - i though 6+3 would be too early but you saw everything ok?i am 5+3 so was thinking of waiting until 8 weeks but not sure if i can wait that long x

nomorewinedayfriday · 20/08/2019 16:06

@ecoloco it's certainly different to my first time, no power naps or sleep ins whenever needed this time roundShock I honestly can't imagine life with a 3 year old and a newborn. Sleep when the baby sleeps? Yea right!! 😂

nomorewinedayfriday · 20/08/2019 16:07

@ecoloco ps - that's lovely about your scan 😊

HerSymphonyAndSong · 20/08/2019 16:17

My husband is a teacher so he is on holiday so a couple of times I have managed a lie-down for 15 minutes whilst my 15mo has his tea, but it doesn’t last long Grin
I am finding that the days are passing much more quickly though

Harper33 · 20/08/2019 16:21

Hi everyone, just wanted to join in! I’ve had my BFPs from Sunday eve so my due date would be 28th April! I’m quite terrified as I had HG with my DD and I ended up quite depressed, hoping this time will be better. I’ve booked an appt to see my doctor later this week to see if they will prescribe me anything in anticipation of HG. Wishing you all the best of luck with your pregnancies!

ecoloco · 20/08/2019 16:28

@Ruthsoph when I was looking for a private scan company, all of them said you could have an early scan from 6weeks. Might have to be internal though!

Ruthsoph · 20/08/2019 16:35

is it weird that my boobs are starting to hurt more now and i feel like high fiveing everyone in the office lol xx

PrincessConsuela12 · 20/08/2019 16:45

Hi all,

Got my BFP this morning & feeling so excited but very nervous due to an ectopic in December. This was our first month trying since & I had convinced myself it hadn't happened for us this month!

I have a scan a week today at the EPU, I'll only be around 4+5. Does anyone know if anything can be seen by then?

Congratulations to everyone, I will try & catch up over the next few days Thanks

Marmite83 · 20/08/2019 16:53

Just had a call from my IVF clinic to say my hcg level looks very encouraging so that's put my mind at rest a little. Scan is booked for next Friday.

So far I'm mainly struggling with tiredness but they could just be because my toddler isn't a huge fan of sleep!

BristolBear · 20/08/2019 19:23

Hello and congratulations to all the new BFPs :)

Sorry i haven't been around much, am now 7+1 and have been feeling rotten. Nausea all day and tired beyond belief.

@lilyj13 i also got prescribed some anti-nausea meds this afternoon (Promethazine) and they are wonderful! It is a drowsy medication, so i am feeling a bit.. blinky (the team i manage are going to love that) but this is way better than feeling sick all the time.

@PrincessConsuela12 i had a very early scan last week (6+1) and was surprised by what we could see - yes, it was a tiny smudge and a flicker, but more than i was expecting! The sonographer said that she had seen the sac as early as 3-4 weeks before, so although a heartbeat won't be detected that early you should be able to see the location of the little bean.

To everyone who is feeling cramps, i have been getting this all the way through from around 5 weeks and it still freaks me a little. Although i am now starting to see how common it is so i believe in the very strong majority of cases it is nothing to worry about, just little one settling in.

BristolBear · 20/08/2019 19:27

@Marmite83 that is a very promising sign. Its nice to get these little reassurances through the early days (probably why so many of us opt for an early scan privately if financially do-able.

How far along will you be by scan date?

Also, when is everyone getting their booking appts.. mine isn't until 11th Sept when i'll be just over 10 weeks. Does that feel a bit late?

HerSymphonyAndSong · 20/08/2019 19:35

My booking in appt was at 10 weeks last time and I don’t expect it to be before then this time either

Cherryfairy · 20/08/2019 19:43

Hi ladies,
Congrats to everyone on here :) I’ve been reading and following the messages & it’s been really helpful for someone like me that has no idea what to do / expect.
I’m 4+2 with my first and calculated my DD as 26th April.
I had 2 questions I was hoping people with experience could help with;

  • when do you book in with your doctor?
  • when is the soonest you can book a private reassurance scan? (I know from looking some companies say from 7 weeks - so are they counting those 7 weeks as the day of your last period as you usually would when referring to how far gone you are)

TIA! xx

BristolBear · 20/08/2019 19:44

thank you @HerSymphonyAndSong i saw a few people got theirs a couple of weeks earlier so just thought it good to check.

Also, i'll probably have more questions in a few weeks than say if i was going next week at 8 weeks.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 20/08/2019 19:44

Yes and it just varies so much by area, it’s bonkers really

HerSymphonyAndSong · 20/08/2019 19:46
  • when do you book in with your doctor?
Call your practice or look at their website - you may not need to see the doctor at all, in my area you self-refer directly to the midwives as that saves GPs’ time
  • when is the soonest you can book a private reassurance scan? (I know from looking some companies say from 7 weeks - so are they counting those 7 weeks as the day of your last period as you usually would when referring to how far gone you are)
They will mean 7 weeks counting from LMP, that’s all anyone will refer to up until your dating scan when it will probably change by a day or so (or six, in my case!)
nicoletia · 20/08/2019 20:05

I've been cramping all day today and I can't wait for my early reassurance scan which I've booked go 07/09 when I will be 9w. I hope you're all well ladies x

brummiemumm · 20/08/2019 20:13

Hi all. Congrats on your BFPs! I'm about 6/7 weeks. Don't have my first midwife appointment until next week. I've had lots of symptoms - very sore boobs, bloating, nausea and oh the tiredness.
However, the last week or so I've had dull period-type pain and yesterday and today I've had a very small amount of pale brown discharge. Now I'm panicking. Going to try to get a doctors appointment tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced this?
