I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

@HerSymphonyAndSong - Thank you :) ! .. I have a 35 day cycle so I guess you take 7 days off that too (which is what my pregnancy app seems to have done).

Noticed a lot of people are talking about cramping - I’ve had this for a week ... like a pmt cramp but different (if that makes sense!)

My only symptoms at 4+2 have been cramps, tiny bits of random nausea & a thirst that doesn’t seem to go away. I also have lower back pain if I sit at my desk chair for too long!

PrincessConsuela12 · 20/08/2019 21:19

Thank you @BristolBear, I'm hoping that something will be seen, even if it's something small just to give me peace of mind. Hopefully this time next week I'll be able to semi relax!

I've got an awful headache this evening, I'm guessing it's due to the shock, not eating properly today and spending my lunch break rushing around buying more tests because I couldn't trust the others I'd taken Blush

Jenjer · 20/08/2019 21:32

Hi all. I’m due approx 18th April and I have my first doctors appointment this Thursday at about 6 weeks pregnant. I’m doing ok, a little nausea but the main issue is the cramps that I get in the middle of the night.

Ruthsoph · 20/08/2019 22:01

I keep getting what feels like a bubble popping inside - is anyone else getting this type of sensation?

mumof1hants · 20/08/2019 22:20

@Ruthsoph I had that. It's one of the signs that made me think I was pg. I'm almost 8 weeks now & it still happens occasionally. Feels like when you first feel baby move too!

Jen653476 · 20/08/2019 23:13

I haven’t got anyone to talk to and don’t know what to do.
Found out a week ago and still in shock. This wasn’t planned at all and we both can’t get our head round it.
Told the kids tonight as we thought it might help us but it couldn’t have gone worse. Both kids were absolutely devastated. I can’t stop replaying it in my mind. I’m in such a mess.x

Lizim · 21/08/2019 03:58

@Jen653476 aw I am sorry the kids have reacted so badly. If it helps, when my mum told us she was pregnant with child number 6, we were all devastated too but now we wouldn't be without the little pain Smile

I had my early reassurance scan today. It had to be internal as my LMP meant I was only 7 weeks but she has measured me as 6 weeks 4 days. It was nice to see the little heartbeat and now I feel so much better. Midwife appointment is Friday so it's all getting real now.

I can handle all the pregnancy symptoms but I've got a throat infection and I'm finding it so hard not being able to take ibuprofen (or whisky). Does anyone know of any natural remedies I can try please? I've not slept at all tonight with the pain and now I've got a blocked nose and phlegm. Google isnt being very helpful, suggesting the usual, that I rest, drink water.. please help Blush x

Ruthsoph · 21/08/2019 05:23

@Jen653476 when my mum told us that she was expecting another baby my siblings and I were 16,13 and 12 - my sister of 16 wasn't too happy but honestly as soon as he was born we all fell in love and I am sure your situation will be the same - did they say why they was t happy? Xx

MrsG3 · 21/08/2019 08:06

After being away with no phone signal I see I have loads to catch up on! Hope everyone's doing ok and congratulations to any new BFPs, I'll sit down and have a proper read through and catch up tonight. We're currently at 6+1 and already I'm finding my trousers are getting a bit snug 😖 may be time for the next size up in leggings!!

@Lizim just seen your message at the top and I swear by honey and lemon for sore throats. Hope you find something that works soon and feel better

poopatroop · 21/08/2019 08:44

Absolutely stunned to say I'm due in April 2020! Have been ntnp for over a year (me and DH are 30) and even begun some initial investigations with my GP, but we were on holiday last week and TTC couldn't have been further from my mind. That said I did have a weirdly good sense of smell on holiday (we were having lunch and I found the smell of the toilet fresher overpowering but no one else at our table knew what I was on about!).

I think I'm due approx 28th April 2020 but still trying to wrap my head around it. Hello everyone else due around the same time! Smile

namechange244 · 21/08/2019 08:47

Is anyone else freezing cold. I feel really cold and am 5 weeks. Also having bad headaches. I googled feeling cold pregnancy and there are lots of forums where people had similar and went on to have miscarriages so am now worrying

Lizim · 21/08/2019 08:55

Thanks @MrsG3 I have just made myself some lemon and honey water so I'll see how I get on. Looks like morning sickness has arrived though, I've just brought up my breakfast. Good job I'm already off work sick!

@namechange244 if you're concerned over anything at all, it is best to phone your doctor. No question is stupid so always go with your instincts. Best to get yourself checked out x

LG0914 · 21/08/2019 09:19

Been catching up, there's so many on this thread it's great.
I'm constantly feeling sick and only actually being sick once or twice a day. It's so hard hiding it while at work. So excited but nervous to have my first scan next week when I'll be 8+4, just want to fast forward a bit further so we're more in the clear!

Moonstone12 · 21/08/2019 10:07

Hi guys.

Joining you although I think I'm due very early may by my calculations but thought I'd pop here for now until I'm sure.

Got my BFP yesterday with first response. But have no period to work off as didn't have one at all after stopping pill in June!

I think I'm probably 3 weeks 2/3 days so very very early.

Super excited but very nervous about telling my kids (they will be 16, 14 and 8 when this one is born)
Think the eldest will kill me lol.

I'm also really nervous about hyperemisis. Had it with all my pregnancy's and it's so awful :(

Anyway! Looking forward to getting to know you all and congrats on your BFP's xx

PrincessConsuela12 · 21/08/2019 10:42

@namechange244 I had an awful headache last night & annoyingly woke up with it, I was also cold at one point but through the night really hot. I haven't heard that this can cause a miscarriage Confused are you feeling any better now?

PrincessConsuela12 · 21/08/2019 10:45

Congratulations @Moonstone12 I also had my BFP yesterday Thanks
Aw I'm sure your eldest will be so pleased. I was 9 (and an old child!) when I found out I was going to have a brother & loved having him around x

HerSymphonyAndSong · 21/08/2019 11:00

The trouble with googling miscarriage+symptom is that you are almost certainly going to get a worrying result. It’s very hard

nikdan123 · 21/08/2019 11:11

Hi, I took a test last week and found out I am pregnant. Was shocked, haven't been on any contraception for 3 years so I thought it was never going to happen.

I am so paranoid that it is ectopic with me not conceiving after all this time. I have been getting cramping and the odd pains, and my boobs are really sore. I was sick this morning and am getting a pain in the top of my stomach under my ribs.

The CB test I took last week said 3+, would an ectopic pregnancy show this far? I am just looking for reassurance that its all in my head really. Going off my dates, I will be nearly 7 weeks.

I am debating on a private scan as it is driving me crazy.

poopatroop · 21/08/2019 11:19

Hearing lots of people discussing early scans for various reasons - are they a common thing to do? Does anyone know approx how much the cost?

Regarding temperature, I've been feeling so hot all day 🥵 I'm trying to not Google my symptoms as it always makes me so worried something is wrong!

nomorewinedayfriday · 21/08/2019 11:22

@nikdan123 if you can afford a private scan, I think they are a massive help to help ease stress and let you enjoy being pregnancy. Congratulations!!

I do think however, that at 7 weeks, if it was ectopic you would be in agony by now.
With this pregnancy and my DS, I had lots of cramps and pains on my right side but an early scan showed all was well.
You could always speak to your EPU or midwife to see about getting a scan at the hospital 😊

nomorewinedayfriday · 21/08/2019 11:23

In my neck of the woods an early reassurance scan is around £50.

nikdan123 · 21/08/2019 11:24

Thank you, that is a little reassuring. I also haven't had any bleeding so I am guessing that is a positive as well?

This being pregnant lark is all very stressful lol. I am at the doctors in the morning to find out if I can take any anti histamines as I take them daily so I will mention it then.

Thanks again :)

poopatroop · 21/08/2019 11:43

@nomorewinedayfriday thank you - something to think about!

Nikkinoodle84 · 21/08/2019 12:07

Ahhh @poopatroop I recognise your names from a conception chat I was In a while ago! Congratulations!! I'm absolutely roasting too, but iv been rocking a head cold so i wasnt sure if it was down to that?

@namechange244 I'm full of cold, your immune system is lower at the minute so so easy to pick little virus' up. Try not to worry!

Someone was aking about throat remedies? Iv been using hot lemon and honey, and just drank loads inbetween, it's kinda helped me. I took a few days off work to allow myself to rest, its took a little longer to get over than it normally would but I'm well on the mend now!
Congratulations to all the new BFPs xx

poopatroop · 21/08/2019 13:40

@Nikkinoodle84 hello hello! Yes I used to frequent conception quite a while ago but I had to stop myself from reading or posting as I got a bit obsessive - now I have my positive I'm baaack!

Sorry to hear you've got a cold - hope it clears up soon Smile
