I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

Hi all! Just wanted to say hi. I'm 35 and due on 19th April. I'm very lucky that I'm on my summer hols at the moment (one of the benefits of being a teacher!) Not sure how I'm going to cope with being back at work. Not feeling sick yet. But with the tiredness and wanting to tell everyone!

Blackjeep · 19/08/2019 08:03

@biggreensmoothie I’m also 42! Expecting a wee surprise no 4! Not sleeping too well at the moment but hopefully this will pass!!
Congratulations

ecoloco · 19/08/2019 12:24

Hi all, de-lurking for (hopefully) some positive vibes and reassurance!

6+2 with my second, due April 11th.

Finding it really hard this time around with anxiety - constantly worried about miscarriage, analysing every symptom (especially when they lessen or go - I convince myself that's it Sad). Anxiety has been really bad since last night, when I had a tiny bit of pink discharge and also decided my symptoms had virtually gone. Nausea/taste back today, but have had some sharp pains/twinges in pelvis on and off this morning too. So worried that I have book an early private scan for tomorrow - never thought I'd do that, was trying to hold out for 12 week one!

Was never like this with my first pregnancy, perhaps because that was unplanned so was still in shock at this point.

Anyway, it's been helping to dip into this thread and read that you ladies are having similar symptoms/worries, thank youSmile Especially when haven't told anyone IRL yet! (And tiring for husband to have to keep listening to same worries over and over and reassure me!)

lilyj13 · 19/08/2019 13:23

Any help in tackling this nausea?

lilyj13 · 19/08/2019 13:25

@ecoloco try and stop worrying, there is absolute nothing you can do if the worst happens it's an awful thing to go through but just relax and take each day as it comes, stay busy if needs be. I'm the same as you 11/4 and I'm feeling nausea, guilt has kicked in and hot all the time! Always want to go to bed and feel like I'm hung over all the time!

Xx

Pip231018 · 19/08/2019 13:33

@ecoloco Hey. I'm the exact same as you. I had an argument with my OH on the way to the cinema yesterday because I didn't feel any symptoms and I didn't think he was being reassuring/understanding enough. Then I cried throughout the trailers. Then I realised when I got home as I lay sleepily under a blanket that I was tired, hormonal and irrational.

I was just too busy touching my boobs to see why they weren't hurting and stretching my back to see if it was still sore. Then I took a Pg test when I got in and it was the best result yet.

Don't feel anything today, but I'm busy at work so not really analysing everything. It's so hard. And I feel exactly like you, maybe there are symptoms you're just looking for the physical. X

LokiCat · 19/08/2019 13:56

@lilyj13 I've heard from people that eating crackers/dry toast was the best thing they found to tackle the nausea. As long as they were eating, they didn't feel as sick.
I'm quite early on so haven't felt sick yet, so can't tell you if this does work!
I hope you feel better soon.

LokiCat · 19/08/2019 14:01

@ecoloco I'm feeling so worried as well. I had a miscarriage back in March, so I'm constantly hoping that everything is okay. I felt some cramps this morning so ran to the toilet worried that I'd see some bleeding.
Hopefully all will be fine. Good luck at your early scan tomorrow, keeping everything crossed for you! Xx

ecoloco · 19/08/2019 14:04

@lilyj13 mouthwash! Keeps taste away for a bit. Discovered that late in my last sicky pregnancy!

And thank you to you and @Pip231018 for your kind words - as I said before, it's so reassuring to read that others are having the same worries! (But also sad, because I wouldn't wish this anxiety on anyone!) And @Pip231018 - also delighted to know I am not the only one who keeps subtly feeling their chest to 'check'!

ecoloco · 19/08/2019 14:06

Oh and @LokiCat just seen your reply, thank you! Knickerwatch is in overdrive here too Sad

I hope we are all in for smooth pregnancy journeys - and that time passes a bit more quickly than it is currently doing!

CateyA · 19/08/2019 17:39

So glad to read you’re all doing the panic dash to the loo and nervous wipe too. I really didn’t realise this would b so bloody terrifying!

I fell down a miscarriage statistics at 40 years old hell hole yesterday - honestly awful terrible terrible idea to google that.

Now if I’m not feeling sick or crampy I panic.
And to make things worse I burst into tears in the office and told half my team I’m pregnant- such an idiot

Pip231018 · 19/08/2019 18:12

@ecoloco Aside from touching myself up, I even took a picture of my nipple so I could monitor for any colour changes. I have issues.

@CateyA The nervous wipe never leaves. Every time I pee I take a deep breath and do a silent prayer.

I hate the danger zone!

Marmite83 · 19/08/2019 18:46

So glad I'm not the only one who's going slightly crazy. Nervous every time I go to the loo. Don't really have much in the way of symptoms either and what I do have is probably the ivf medication. Only 5 weeks tomorrow so trying to stay calm. My scan is booked for next Friday which feels like a lifetime away atm!

hms91 · 19/08/2019 18:56

Jumping on this thread. Tested positive two weeks ago and due around 10th April. This is my first pregnancy and I'm so excited but finding it difficult not to tell people. My first scan isn't until 27th September which seems like ages away. How are people coping with morning sickness? I felt sick all day today 🤢

Jessem29 · 19/08/2019 19:37

So I have just got back from the gp after letting them no we are pregannt again (mc in may) he was so lovely and really reassured me about how a miscarriage is nothing to do with the woman and it by no means puts this at risk.

All stuff I new but it's nice to hear a professional say it. He is now referring me for my 12 week scan. All feels a bit more real now. He has also advised I refer myself to the midwifery team through my gp. So starting to relax a bit more now and feel more excited than anxious!

Hope everyone is feeling good!! Xx

ellarosee · 19/08/2019 19:51

It's reassuring to know so many of us are feeling this way but it's also sad that we're struggling to just enjoy it.

I've had cramps on and off since this morning which I haven't stopped worrying about. No bleeding though so I'm hoping it's just a normal feeling of things stretching in there 🤞🏻 I'm 4+3 today. I haven't informed my gp yet but they're calling me on Wednesday so hopefully I can sort the referral to the midwife then. I'm also going to book an early 8 week scan in a couple of weeks.. just holding out because I'm scared of something going wrong.

How far along is everyone else? X

megan18 · 19/08/2019 19:56

Has anyone had really bad sickness today im 5 weeks got an emergency appointment for a scan and a 7 week scan booked privately

Lemonysherbet · 19/08/2019 20:20

Hey ladies,

As of Sunday I'm officially in the April due date club! Still in shock/ don't quite believe it. Is this feeling normal? Also had the miscarriage fear but trying to push it back out again, being an overthinker it's one thing I can do!

Oh and hey @LokiCat 😁

Ruthsoph · 19/08/2019 20:22

Hello everyone I am 5w2 days and am feeling very anxious like most of you - have had 2 previous Mis carriages both at around 6.5-7 weeks so trying to be normal but mind is going into overdrive - symptoms at the moment are sore boobs - keep getting a little cramping so keep going to be loo to check - gonna book a scan for around 7.5 weeks - I need to chill out but it's so hard xx
