I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23

@CodlingMoth and @KikiOB congrats!

I’ve been having the odd period like cramp all week, worried me but some reading tells me it’s normal. I definitely feel different.

Think my EDD is 30th March too!

Wicketywick · 28/07/2019 23:26

Omg, 3rd time I've tried writing this, I forgot how terrible the Mumsnet app is for Android phones.

Anyway, I got my bfp yesterday and estimated due date is 31st March but my daughter was 15 days overdue so I reckon I'll make it to April!

Hope everyone is keeping well, I'm feeling excited and a little bit nauseous! Xxx

J43mum · 29/07/2019 08:08

Hi ladies , I'm also due the 1st April ! This is my third fingers crossed , I have a 14 and 10 year old !
Had a mis carriage in February and not this ! It has came to as a bit of a shock but a great one ! Tiredness has kicked in , not sure when to go dr !

hopefulowl · 29/07/2019 08:31

@Wicketywick congratulations! I'm due the end of March too, although I'm not certain so have joined this group too. Hopefully when I have a scan they'll be able to give me a more accurate date.

@Bookworm83 congrats and welcome! It is a nerve wracking time, hope your midwife appointment goes well today. Mine isn't until 20th August- feels like forever to wait!

@KikiOB congratulations! I have been having stomach cramps too - since before my period was due - I'm 6 weeks today. It's getting less and less but definitely still there on and off. It originally felt like my period was going to arrive, but now they feel slightly different. Im pretty sure it's normal from what I have read and lots of people on here seem to also experience it. It is my first pregnancy too so also feel like I've got no clue! So much to learn and so many questions!

KikiOB · 29/07/2019 08:39

Hi hopefulowl!

Congratulations to you too. I’m glad someone was else is having the same. As we are so early we haven’t told anyone yet and so I feel like I am way over googling. Xx

BristolBear · 29/07/2019 09:40

Hello and congratulations Ladies! I was hoping to join you here? As with many of you, feels a bit early to start telling people, as much as I'd like to shout it out to the whole world..!

Ok so I'm going for baby number one, I'm 36 and due date calendar said 7th April 2020. I had my bfp yesterday, regular 27 day cycles so found out straight after the tww.. and I was so sure af was on her way!

I'll be honest, I was nervous about posting here as I still don't believe it (and worry this one won't stick) Been having mild cramps too, so nice to see that is pretty normal.

Bookworm83 · 29/07/2019 09:57

Hey @BristolBear, welcome! I am the same age as you and it's also my first one Smile
I'm having the cramps too, it's such a relief that it seems a common thing.

I'm seeing the midwife at 3pm today, fingers crossed all goes well. I have a couple of issues, high blood pressure and underactive thyroid so I imagine I'll be monitored more closely than most, not looking forward to all the hassle but it is what it is.

SMS36 · 29/07/2019 10:35

Hi everyone and congratulations to you all. I’m also 36 and just found out that we pregnant with our first child. So reassuring to see other women my age going through the same thing. I too am having a few cramps and my breasts are super sore! I am reluctant to take off my bra as they feel so heavy.
My GP surgery told me they won’t see me until at least 8 weeks so am eagerly awaiting my August appointment. Has that been the same for anyone else? No sickness yet, but I am so unbelievably happy. It is so hard not to tell people so this will be a great way to talk without being ‘found out’ by friends and family.

BristolBear · 29/07/2019 10:44

Thank you @Bookworm83 and hello @SMS36 :)

Nice to see others around my age, is very comforting.

I haven't called my doc yet, and desperately trying to keep mine and my fellas excitement in check.. which is not easy Grin

I was thinking of doing that on Friday. Just using pregnancy tests every other day until then, is anyone else still peeing on sticks?

I agree it's great that we can share here if not in real life (yet)

J43mum · 29/07/2019 11:29

Has anyone seen my post on here Confused

Islandermum · 29/07/2019 11:33

Wow congratulations to you all on your BFPs! I'm due 26th March but started this thread as I'm sure little one will arrive late.

Had to go to the EPU this morning as having right sided pain. Pregnancy sac and yolk sac located and they are in the right place! No heartbeat but this is totally normal for how far along I am. So exciting getting to see my little baby.
I'm now 5 weeks 4 days! I've got another follow up appointment on 9th August so they can see a heartbeat.
Feeling so relieved

I see you @J43mum! Welcome Grin. Your age gap going to be a bit bigger than mine even! (My oldest is 11)

BristolBear · 29/07/2019 12:03

Hey @J43mum sorry, yes I did see it and I'm not sure when to go to the docs either. Think I'll make an appointment by the end of this week.

@Islandermum that is fantastic news, I can imagine the relief. Time to relax and enjoy :)

What did your mean by right sided pain? I have some twinges on the right (lower abdomen) and am a little concerned about it, but as it comes and goes and isn't really painful I've been trying to ignore it for now.

J43mum · 29/07/2019 12:38

@CodlingMoth I know I'm crazy ! But all good fun a lol

ShirleyPhallus · 29/07/2019 13:02

Congrats to all the new BFPs!

@KikiOB I’ve been having mild stomach cramps for about 2 weeks, saw the doctor last week and he said it’s totally normal

What is not normal is the size of my boobs! They have taken on a life of their own, I was already an F cup before this and now I just feel like a truck already. I’m spilling out of my bras already 😭

MindyStClaire · 29/07/2019 13:31

Wow, loads of new BFPs Grin , welcome CodlingMoth, KikiOB, Bookworm83, Wicketywick, J43mum, BristolBear, SMS36 and whoever I forgot as I'm sure there's someone.

I rang my GP surgery as wasn't sure of the process (already had an appointment scheduled when I found out last time), so I have a GP appointment on Friday morning to get referred to maternity. Last time my first midwife appointment was at 10 weeks but I think that was quite early for here.

Had a little brown spotting yesterday and some cramping. I know odds are all is fine, but feeling a little anxious. I did do a cheapy test though first thing by coincidence and the line was stronger so trying to be optimistic.

Glad all was ok Islandermum!

MindyStClaire · 29/07/2019 13:32

Oh ShirleyPhallus, I still remember my boobs at this stage last time. Just walking down the corridor hurt.

2ndtimelucky418 · 29/07/2019 14:11

Hi everyone, jumping on as ive just gotten my BFP within last hour after mc in March. We took a more relaxed approach this month so i wasnt expecting it. Sore boobs and nausea past few days so done a test and im in shock.

I have a family holiday in 13 days with all of my in laws...11 of us sharing a villa in portugal for 10 days 🙈 any ideas on how i can hide not drinking as we dont want to tell until we are 12 weeks as we mc'd at 11 weeks last time.

TIA 🌸💕

MindyStClaire · 29/07/2019 14:39

Congratulations 2ndtimelucky418! Can't help you on the holiday as I would definitely be rumbled... Antibiotics?

2ndtimelucky418 · 29/07/2019 14:44

@MindyStClaire i know i am so bad at hiding it too 🙈 i was thinking about anti-biotics but i used that for a while last time 😩 i was thinking about pouring out a bottle of vodka and filling it with water but brother in laws drink vodka too and i will crap myself if they pour it, or pretending to make a pink gin and lemonade as i am the only person that drinks this. I will sneakily order non alcoholic drinks when out but its just in the villa im worried about.

singme · 29/07/2019 15:19

@2ndtimelucky418 congratulations. I’ve got my best friend coming up this weekend and we are usually all about going for a couple of pints or nice glasses of wine! I feel your pain as I just can’t see how I can hide it.

A few years ago my housemate was pregnant and hid it from us all for 12 weeks, the way she did this was having a “health kick” and then on her birthday she had a beer which threw us all off. Honestly that one beer was the only reason I didn’t realise - and her DP secretly drank it!

My plan is to make drinks at my house on the first night- ‘gin’ and tonic for me, then just explain I am off beer and wine as getting a belly (true!). Then when I buy the drinks I’ll get a mixer and when she buys them I’ll just ask for a soft drink. I can see it not working though....

Can you make your own drinks and pretend you are slightly off the booze??

2ndtimelucky418 · 29/07/2019 15:36

@singme yes i will have to beat everyone to the kitchen and offer to make everyones drinks each time. Could do white lemonade and lime aswell and pretend theres a vodka in it. Hopefully no1 notices x

CodlingMoth · 29/07/2019 16:09

We're having a bbq in a couple of weeks (invited everyone the day before my bfp, typical). I'm planning to get some non alcoholic bubbly and hope that no on looks to closely at the label. At least these things are byb so no sharing.

BristolBear · 29/07/2019 17:11

Uh-oh I hadn't thought about that. It's my birthday in about 3 weeks and for me not to be drinking would be very suspicious. Plus, people don't tend to let you buy drinks for yourself on a b'day.. looks like my OH is going to have to sink quite a few to get us through that, not that he'll mind!

Antibiotics is a good idea, might try and swing that one first.

Bub2020 · 29/07/2019 17:13

I am exactly the same! Miscarried in may now pregnant and due 3rd April 2020. I’m so worried il miscarry again. Good luck ! X
