I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23
Baby #1 (pregnancy #2)

I would like to join too pls

I got a bfp yesterday at 14dpo which said it was 3 plus weeks on the clear blue how many weeks test

I'm really surprised as only ovulated 2 weeks ago so can't understand how I am over 3 weeks pregnant

The leaflet said that if its 3 plus weeks it's actually 5 plus weeks as they go from your last period date

I'm now stressing why I've got such high hcg levels!!

Also generally bricking it and worrying about everything!

nicoletia · 14/08/2019 22:53

@HerSymphonyAndSong Looks like we're EDD twins and I'm also 33. It's my first baby :)

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 05:39

Hurrah, nicoletia! 12/04/20 is Easter Sunday, though I expect that will change after dating scans Grin

I have woken up with a sore lower back, where I’m not sure whether I slept in a funny position, have trapped wind, or something more sinister. I’m obsessively knicker checking as it is

Pip231018 · 15/08/2019 05:47

Hello,

Please can I join? I'm 5+4 today. MMC in June. No children, only cats. EDD 10-12th April.

I just want to symptom check, essentially my lower back is in shreds, my uterus feels like it wants to fall out of my body at times and I feel sick but haven't actually thrown up.

When I miscarried I had horrendous back pain. This back pain feels different, but I got my lashes done today and I lay on a very uncomfortable bed for an hour maybe this is contributing. Wondering if anyone else has lower back pain?

Ps Congratulations! X

MindyStClaire · 15/08/2019 06:14

Congratulations Pip231018! And sorry about your MMC. Flowers

I haven't had back pain, but I know my sister tends to get pain in her lower back when she has her period rather than stomach cramps. Given the amount of stretching pains etc in the early days and how much they can feel like period pains it wouldn't surprise me if she felt that in her back too if she was expecting. Given you felt it with a miscarriage I'd suspect you might be the same, and it's just where you feel it, some sort of referred pain or something?

I've no medical expertise at all so feel free to ignore everything I've said though. Grin Obviously if it gets really bad or you're worried, get checked out.

CEM29 · 15/08/2019 06:49

So I’m starting to worry. 6+5 . Weeks 3-6 I had nausea , bloating and cramps and lots of gas. Back pain intermittently. This week I feel a lot better intermittent nausea but other symptoms have eased up. Paranoid something is wrong and terrified of a missed miscarriage . Got a scan in 2 weeks. Is this normal?!

CEM29 · 15/08/2019 06:49

Still very tired though!

mumof1hants · 15/08/2019 07:20

Congrats to all the newbies!

@CEM29 my symptoms disappeared at 5 weeks. I only had sore boobs. I'm 6+6 now and apart from being extra tired I feel fine. My scan is in 2 weeks too. Try not to worry, loads of people don't get stronger symptoms until 8weeks, I didn't last time and I remember thinking the same. It's best not to think the worst and stay positive although I know that's hard xx

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 07:56

I think your body’s response to the hormones can vary, plus the hormone increase is not linear, so it’s normal for your symptoms to increase and decrease. I know it doesn’t stop the worry though

AnxietyMama · 15/08/2019 09:22

@namechange244 congratulations!

You always go by the first day of your last period, so even though the know the date we conceived (well when we did the dirty lol), it's always done by period date. Never understood why but that's how they all work it out! I wouldn't worry about it too much to be honest ❤️

AnxietyMama · 15/08/2019 09:23

Week 6 today and woken up with morning sickness 😩 just feel so sick today, not thrown up thankfully. I didn't suffer much with my LB so I'm hoping it's the same this time around!

Pip231018 · 15/08/2019 10:08

@CEM29 Hey, if it's any consolation, with my MMC I had all of my symptoms, the boobs, the tiredness, the back ache. My body simply didn't recognise the loss right up until the day I had the medication. This time round my boobs don't hurt at all, they are swollen, I feel sick with back ache but other than that I wouldn't know I was PG.

If anyone is worried about MC, someone shared this with me when I was last PG and it did bring me comfort watching the numbers decrease.

@MindyStClaire Hey, I think you are right. Tbh, I'd been up all night when I posted and genuinely stressed out. I have a really high pressure job and I've got a lot on so the thought of no sleep, feeling sick, pain and a day of chaos was making everything seem worse. For the first time in a really long time I called in sick. I read last night that stress can make back pain worse, after some sleep and knowing I'm not in work, it's definitely eased. I think as you say, if I had it last time and I've got it this time, it's just my bodies way of stretching and preparing. X

singme · 15/08/2019 10:17

Is anyone else just eating so much?? I’ve started being sick just once- morning and evening. But all day I feel horrendous and all that helps is carbs. I’m a doctor so it’s really hard to have a relaxed day at work so I’m just eating so much! Worried I’ll get gestational diabetes but hope it’s eases off soon. Early scan on Saturday so nervous about that too!

BristolBear · 15/08/2019 10:36

@Madaleinerw thanks for the tip! I'll head to Tesco at lunchtime and pick a couple up. Do you just do one shot a day or a couple to see you through the work day?

Madaleinerw · 15/08/2019 10:46

@Pip231018 I was the exact same with my mmc. I felt sick, sore boobs etc constantly right up until I had the surgery. It was tough. I must admit though, the sickness is definitely another level!

@BristolBear no probs! I take one around 9am and then again at 1pm ish but it depends on your nausea I guess! Perhaps buy a few, take one in the morning and see how long it lasts for! I really hope it does the trick for you too! I bought 10 yesterday haha the lady at till must have thought I was nuts!

MindyStClaire · 15/08/2019 11:13

Sounds like a day off will do you a world of good Pip231018.

MindyStClaire · 15/08/2019 11:15

singme yup, hunger is the enemy here. I remember it being the same last time, especially around six weeks. My appetite went back to normal quickly enough.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 11:26

I don’t believe that gestational diabetes is caused by eating a lot

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 11:34

I had mild GD in my previous pregnancy, but was lucky enough to control fully with diet (never had a high sugar result) and no affect on my son. As soon as I got a positive pregnancy test I started eating the same way that I did to control blood sugars in my previous pregnancy (I’m not testing though). It’s not helping the nausea but I don’t want to take any risks

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 11:34

lilyj13 · 15/08/2019 12:24

So ended up in a&e last night 3 hrs as had some pains took a blood test all fine.
Had an early scan today shows a tiny yolk and sac
Cant see a baby 5+ 5 but scan says around 4-5
From conception.
No sickness no sore boobs nothing. Re scan 2 weeks to check heart beat, shattered

TabBon · 15/08/2019 14:05

Just found out I'm pregnant!
Baby number 5!
Due 18th April!

singme · 15/08/2019 14:36

@HerSymphonyAndSong sounds like a good idea, I would just like to stick to a healthy diet like you are! When I first found out I avoided sugary stuff and cakes but now it’s just all about avoiding hunger and nausea and making it through the day. I’d just like to provide a bit more nutrition for baby but I have just had a fairly healthy lunch at work so doing better!

singme · 15/08/2019 14:37

@MindyStClaire here’s hoping it goes back to normal soon!
