I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

lilyj13 Flowers you must be exhausted. Fingers crossed for good news in two weeks.

MujosMama · 15/08/2019 15:17

Hiya 👋 I'm hoping from the other thread as there are lots more people here! Exciting - im due 20th April according to Nurture. Like others, trying not to get too excited until a few more weeks in

MujosMama · 15/08/2019 15:18

@turtletum I've booked an early scan for 7th sept. I will be almost 8 weeks at that point but it was the first appointment I could get, £70 so not cheap though

Wilson1990 · 15/08/2019 17:39

@lilyj13 hope you are ok. Know the feeling as I also was referred to hospital EPU due to pains. Have my scan tomorrow although being 5+3 tomorrow know they will most likely ask me to come back when I’m further along. Hope everything is ok for the both of us x

CodlingMoth · 15/08/2019 17:46

@lilyj13 what a scary time for you. Everything crossed for a happy ending for you!

I'm basically surviving work but eating carbs every damn hour, then coming home and napping and puking, wah . I actually wish I could sleep through the next month.

Welcome new folk 😁

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 18:06

lilyj13 How scary, I hope you are resting

HerSymphonyAndSong · 15/08/2019 18:10

Singme do you have risk factors for GE? Because eating sugary things in itself shouldn’t cause you to develop it. I spent a lot of time researching this because I felt so guilty that I might be harming my baby last time through something that was my fault, but it’s not as simple as that. And as I found, it is possible for some people to control with diet and have normal delivery and normal sized baby.

And much of the first trimester is about finding something that doesn’t make you want to hurl. I am much higher risk for GE given that I have previously had it, so I am being super cautious as much as I can

lilyj13 · 15/08/2019 18:28

@CodlingMoth @Wilson1990 I'm doing ok, I'm just so tired I have 4 days off work now so I'm going to chill out and just get on with my week, I'm going to try and forget I'm pregnant a little just so the weeks fly by, I mean I won't forget but you know what I mean!
I'm sure all will be ok. Having a nice long bath now and I can't stop eating rubbish as well as fruit so as long as I'm eating I don't care really, still no morning sickness hoping I miss out out on this. Only time will tell! Good lucky girlies I'm sure all our little bundles of joys will be just fine Smile

Sorbfsiabs · 15/08/2019 19:06

Congratulations to the newbies :) I hope everyone is doing well

singme · 15/08/2019 20:33

@lilyj13 sorry you've had a rough few days, glad you have some time off Thanks

@HerSymphonyAndSong I see what you mean, I do feel better about it now, thank you! I've been worried about Type 2 Diabetes for a while - my waist circumference is high (but BMI still ok) Ive been doing a lot of night shifts recently and reading about long term health effects. When I found out I was pregnant I just transferred the worry to pregnancy related problems, but I think I need to relax a bit and just try my best. Hope you didn't think I was suggesting gestational diabetes is the pregnant woman's fault- I don't think that at all! Sorry if that's how it came across!

CodlingMoth · 15/08/2019 20:34

Envy at no sickness.

Feel like I have a never ending hangover and trying to hide it from older kids (and colleges) is hard.

yoy114 · 15/08/2019 20:53

@CodlingMoth I feel constantly hung over too!!? So hard trying to hide it though it's just me and partner at home so don't have to hide it at home.

Islandermum · 15/08/2019 21:13

Sorry I've been so absent over the last week or so, I've just been so wiped out with everything. I am 8 weeks pregnant today. I'm very unwell, feel exhausted and can't eat anything without having terrible gas and just generally sluggish digestion.
Hope you are all well and coping through these tough weeks!

Hello everyone

I got my BFP last night due date approx 24/25th April (depending on the app!) so may end up being a May baby. I had an early miscarriage in May, otherwise this is our first! Hopefully this one goes fine but I have been worried. Will wait u TIL atleast 6 weeks to book in with community midwife though just in case.
I’ve just turned 30 and in the middle of retraining to be nurse!

ellarosee · 15/08/2019 22:09

Hello 👋🏻

I'm coming on here with a bit of caution as I have only just got my BFP today and I'm already googling everything to do with miscarriage (what is wrong with me?!) My DH is on his way home from work so he is yet to find out and I'm even a bit worried to tell him in case something bad happens. Is it normal to be feeling like this? Anyway I'm going to have to try and be positive and hope it all goes well 🤞🏻 I think this group will definitely help!

@Bathwater my predicted due date is 24th April too! It's nice to speak to others who are going through the same stages as me 😊 x

Islandermum · 15/08/2019 22:20

@Bathwater Congratulations! Sorry to hear about your MC in May. I also had an MC in May so there is lots of support and understanding around here.

@ellarosee Yay! Congratulations. Worrying about things and letting it spoil this exciting news isn't worth it. No amount of worrying will stop an MC unfortunately, you just have to relax and try and enjoy it. Easier said than done!

Thank you so much @Islandermum you are so right! I'll put my positive pants on!

Sorry to hear about yours and @Bathwater MC. Thanks x

Bathwater · 15/08/2019 22:28

@ellarosee ah that’s exciting we have same due date! It’s really easy to let the negativity in though and despite me and my husband wanting to get pregnant I was always nervous to tell him haha

@Islandermum thank you. I have been surprised reading these boards how common it can be and get a lot of reassurance as I’ve only discussed it with my sister and husband.

ellarosee · 15/08/2019 22:40

Thanks for the words of wisdom I'm already feeling better 😊

One thing though, I've been having dull AF like cramps for the past 3 days, is that normal in very early pregnancy?

Bathwater · 15/08/2019 23:20

I’ve heard it can be, I think like a lot of pregnancy symptoms they can be interchangeable with typical AF ones!

Islandermum · 16/08/2019 00:43

Totally normal. Mine seem to have disappeared now but getting different aches and pains now! It scared me at first but it is normal uterus expansion :)

MOGMOGMOG85 · 16/08/2019 06:04

@Islandermum sorry you're feeling so crappy! It will be temporary i'm sure :)

@bathwater, I'm sorry about your MC and congrats on your bfp!

@ellarosee omg it's so so normal to worry, I've only known 10 days or so and I was just obsessed with miscarrying for the first week. I've finally realised the worry isn't worth it and as @islandermum says it can't prevent a miscarriage anyway! I just tentatively started to enjoy the fact that I'm pregnant yesterday, I may end up devastated but that is the risk we take in pursuit of a gorgeous baby!

I just had a little nosebleed and wondered if it could be connected to my dizzy spells (which I think mean my blood vessels expanding) or is it too early? it's my second nosebleed of my life - luckily only a little one :)

Jessem29 · 16/08/2019 07:42

Hi everyone. So I am now past the stage from when when I miscarried previously, so effectively the most pregnant I have been.

I am a little worried as i feel like I have very mild AF cramping, like a dull ache and then twinges in my groin area. (Feels like wind, sorry if TMI) does everyone else feel this? I am trying to relax because ino what will be will be but just so worried history will repeat itself.

Thanks so much and congratulations everyone new! Xxx

namechange244 · 16/08/2019 08:01

I'm having terrible shooting pains down below which feels like trapped wind, lots of gas and headaches

Confused
LittleRedSocks · 16/08/2019 08:23

Hi all, after a few CP’s I’m tentatively joining the board...4+2 today, second child (already have DD3). Would be due 22nd April. Lines are strongest they’ve ever been - never got past just visible with CP’s.
Stressed to the max but trying to stay calm, GP is referring me to EPU for 6 week scan given history. So just want to get through the next few weeks! Hope everyone is doing well and congratulations to everyone!! Xxx
