I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23

Hi @aprilfoolsbaby you've got the same due date as me and my third too 😀 congratulations 💕

BristolBear · 08/08/2019 19:11

Wow there's so many of us now, congratulations on all the bfps! Been away for a week with patchy internet.

@Islandermum yes to sharing your scan photos, how exciting! I have booked a 7 week scan too and it feels like time is going super slow, wishing you all the best for tomorrow, enjoy :)

BristolBear · 08/08/2019 19:12

A few people here were asking about telling people. I told my mum and sister, either way I'd like their support and it's been great to ask mum loads of questions.

shik20 · 08/08/2019 19:37

The sickness has definitely started this evening 😷

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 19:40

@shik20 I've suddenly got really bad heartburn tonight... after moaning/worrying I have no symptoms! X

shik20 · 08/08/2019 19:41

@mumof1hants I was starting to think the same! But that's all changed today, heartburn, dizziness, sickness and I'm so bloated I already look 6 months pregnant! 😂

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 19:43

@shik20 oh no! How many weeks are u? I'm 5+6 x

shik20 · 08/08/2019 19:59

@mumof1hants I'm 5+2 so not to far behind you at all!😀 it's our first, so excited and loving being pregnant already!

Emiliemoo · 08/08/2019 20:03

I have been lurking here for a week but was scared to post as it all feels too soon to be telling people, even anonymously on the internet! I'm 5+1 by my maths and we managed to conceive really quickly so I feel like we have had too much good luck, if that makes sense?

I'm terrified of a miscarriage but I'm looking after myself as best as I can so I know whatever else happens is out of my control. It's actually reassuring to know other women are worrying the same way as I do, I feel a bit more normal.

lilyj13 · 08/08/2019 20:05

Me to me to, excited and happy, hoping no hyperemisis this time, due April 11th

lilyj13 · 08/08/2019 20:10

@HarryPotterandtheSAHM I've had hyperemisis both my girls and I'm on my 3rd im so scared 4 weeks in I'm feeling ok but it's only 4 weeks from the start of my last period so only really pregnant for 2 weeks

eskimod · 08/08/2019 20:47

@Warrior9
I had a similar experience, lots of faint lines but then I bought a clear blue digital and it came back positive straight away. Congrats!

Warrior9 · 08/08/2019 21:02

@eskimod thanks for replying, how far were you when getting faint lines and did you have a healthy pregnancy? Thank you😊

HattieRabbit · 08/08/2019 21:06

My sickness/ nausea is quite bad (despite only being 6 weeks) I’ve neen signed off work and am stuck at home feeling pretty pants.

I’ve tried Ginger - motion sickness bands ... basically every old wives tale but no luck.

I’ve got proper medication from GP which is helping somewhat but;

A- is anyone feeling it like me this early on?
B- anyone have any other magic sickness cures?

Feels like I’m constantly on a knifes edge between sickness because I’m hungry and sickness because I ate 🤢

lozaaa · 08/08/2019 21:17

Hi, I found out a week ago I'm pregnant. Worked out I will be 7 weeks on Saturday it's my first baby. I've already got horrible sickness. Dizziness. And awful stomach cramps. it's nice to see I'm not the only one and I need to try not to worry as much but it's easier said than done isn't it. Congratulations everyone x

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 21:20

@HattieRabbit oh u poor thing. I wasn't that sick with my first but a tip I was given about the ginger is make sure whatever your eating contains actual stem ginger and not ginger flavouring. Most biscuits are just flavoured. The nairns stem ginger oat biscuits were the only ones I could find that did anything for me. Worth a try maybe? Sorry I don't have anything more constructive to suggest x

Sorbfsiabs · 08/08/2019 21:20

Is everyone seeing the gaviscon adverts? I haven't missed that taste..

shik20 · 08/08/2019 21:27

@lozaaa I'm also a lozza!😂 congratulations! I am 5+2. Symptoms are really coming on now 😷

lilyj13 · 08/08/2019 21:34

Are people going off date of conception or date of 1st day of period how many weeks they are

HattieRabbit · 08/08/2019 21:35

@mumof1hants

😊 Thank you

I didn’t realise there was a difference but I will check what type of ginger is in the biscuits and if it’s flavouring will ask DH to pick me up some Nairn’s when he does the shopping this weekend ❤️

Islandermum · 08/08/2019 21:37

@lilyj13 first day of last period :)

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 21:39

@HattieRabbit hope it works for u!

@lilyj13 I'm going off last period but know I ovulated a week late so will bear that in mind at the dating scan. I've got an early one booked in around 8 weeks x

lilyj13 · 08/08/2019 21:41

@Islandermum thank you, I always go off my conception as I know I wasn't pregnant from
1st day of my last period even though I would love to be 4 weeks I'm only 2

mummy0207 · 08/08/2019 21:51

I'm 5 weeks and due around the 10th April! Already petrified of giving birth again (traumatic first time round) I'm allowed to elect a c sec but that scares me too... 🤷‍♀️

MOGMOGMOG85 · 08/08/2019 22:06

Can anyone explain the weeks pregnant thing? So why do they date it from period when it's literally impossible to be pregnant then???
