I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Hi everyone! Can I join?! Smile

I got a BFP last Sunday! This came as a bit of a surprise tbh- me and hubby were away on holiday in July and chatted about starting trying for a baby not really expecting anything to happen for a while and here we are!

Feeling incredibly lucky and in shock, not told anyone other than my husband.. I’ve never posted before but reading your posts has made me realise I’m not crazy for thinking about it every minute of every day!

Am uber worried about something going wrong / feeling excited as a close friend had a MC 2 weeks ago at 6 weeks..

Looking forward to sharing my journey with other ladies xx

J43mum · 07/08/2019 22:23

@MOGMOGMOG85 hey congratulations firstly you must be frilled ! 😊
I am 43 have got two children from a first marriage 14 and 11
I fell pregnant in January and was over the moon , but I miscarried and was devastated , I'm now 6 weeks pregnant again ! All I can say is , if your going to miscarry then you will , there is nothing you can do , try and be Norma , relax , take things easy is the only advice I can give .... for me it just wasn't meant to be ! I'm also checking every time I go to the loo for blood as that's what I had , and I now think what will be will be ! Xxx try and enjoy it x

mumof1hants · 07/08/2019 22:31

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats!!

@Makingawish & @elb1504 if you call your doctors they'll tell you what to do. Depends where u r in the country as to what the process is. I had to self refer to a midwife & will be seen at 8-10 weeks! Excited!!

@Lizim I had that with my first. It's just all the tendons & muscles stretching and getting ready. I got it intermittently through the whole pregnancy.

Tashd · 07/08/2019 22:43

@Sorbfsiabs I have just added you on Facebook, could you add me to the group please? Due 8th April!

CodlingMoth · 07/08/2019 22:55

Hello all the newbies. Sorry I'm not much keeping up with the thread. I've officially reached the "I feel like death warmed up" phase of pregnancy. Stupidly though while dry wretching over the loo last night I broke into a big grin as I never got that with my last 3 mcs. ConfusedHmm

Lizim · 08/08/2019 07:09

@mumof1hants thank you!! That makes me feel so much better.x

Sorbfsiabs · 08/08/2019 07:18

Sorry, I should have mentioned the group is a secret group, so no one can see you are in it x

newgirl89 · 08/08/2019 07:56

@Sorbfsiabs I'm going to add you now. Please can I be added to the group? X

MindyStClaire · 08/08/2019 08:37

Feck it, I've added you too Sorbfsiabs, could you add me to the group? Initials GMM. Thanks.

6 weeks today and symtoms back, so yay I guess? I'm so very tired...

CodlingMoth I guess in that case I'm delighted you feel so miserable and wish you more puking? Confused Grin Ah seriously though, delighted things sound more promising this time, but hope you feel better soon.

Bookworm83 · 08/08/2019 09:28

Morning, how's everyone doing today?
I have just watched an NHS video about miscarriages and learned that 1 in 5 pregnancies end that way 😭 that's a lot!! I'm now so worried, especially having read some of the stories in this thread, so many of you have experienced it... Don't know how to stay positive anymore!

newgirl89 · 08/08/2019 09:31

@MindyStClaire I was nervous about joining the group so early! Was going to wait until early scan. Then I had FOMO 😂😂

newgirl89 · 08/08/2019 09:33

@Bookworm83 really hard I know. But try not to think about it. Do everything you can to be fit and healthy. Look after yourself. I know exactly what you mean - and it's heartbreaking to imagine what so many women go through. Try to stay positive! X

Otter88 · 08/08/2019 10:20

Congrats to all on the thread! It's great to have somewhere to support each other especially through these early stages before the big announcements. Got my BFP on Tuesday so 4weeks+3 today with first. I've had trouble sleeping since I found out, just can't stop thinking about it all, find myself getting over excited then worrying about all the things that could go wrong. All natural I suppose. Minimal symptoms at the moment but the days have slowed down. It's only been 2 days since I found out and already feels like months hahaha!

Such a weird and glorious feeling!

Has anyone told their news yet? It's going to be so hard to keep quiet. We have booked early scan at 7 weeks so all being well, we are thinking we will tell parents after that then everyone else after 12 week scan. I don't want to wish the time away but also just want to know everything will be okay. I guess the worrying won't ever stop from here so may as well get used to it! Lol.

Makingawish · 08/08/2019 10:34

I'm exactly the same @Bookworm83! I feel too scared to get excited because miscarrying is so common that I almost feel like I'm just waiting for it to happen which is awful I know. I think I'll only start to relax once I've seen something on a screen! I'm even willing myself to feel nauseous or vomit just so I know things are going alright but I'm a bit too early for that 😖

Makingawish · 08/08/2019 10:35

Hi @Otter88! I'm a week behind you at only 3+2 but I'm already a nervous wreck! We're going to book an early scan at 7 weeks to try and put our minds at rest if we get to that point 🤞🤞🤞 I've also decided I'm going to tell probably my mum and best friend this weekend just to have some support IRL.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 08/08/2019 10:49

We have told our parents and sisters but because it’s and ivf pregnancy and they knew we were having treatment and when test day was. They have been so supportive through the whole process which has been brutal so we shared the news with them on test day. I am nervous about telling so early on but I would also need be support if it all goes wrong. After going through ivf and then if it didn’t work out I don’t think I would cope on my own with just my DH no matter how awesome he is.

Islandermum · 08/08/2019 10:50

Congrats to all of the newly expecting ladies. I'm 7 weeks today! My scan is tomorrow and I am so overjoyed and excited.
Was feeling very nauseaous over the last few days but I ordered some travel sickness bands and I've felt so much better since yesterday afternoon. Only feeling slightly sick, I feel like I've really got away with it! (I know there is still time)
I hope you're all ok with me sharing my scan picture with you on here, fingers crossed all is well. It's all I can think about but based on what you ladies are saying, I'm not alone in that :)

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 08/08/2019 10:58

@Islandermum good luck for the scan I hope all is well

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 11:01

@Islandermum I'd love to see your scan pic. How exciting!!!

@Bookworm83 and al those others that are worried, I think you have to bear in mind that if the worst did happen it's because of a chromosomal problem and ultimately the baby wouldn't be healthy. That helps me anyway. I also like this site... probably not everyone's cup of tea, but u can see how the fish of m/c drops each day... that helps me the further along I get:
datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 11:02

*risk not fish!!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 08/08/2019 11:17

@mumof1hants oh I like the ‘fish’ chart thanks!

Carysmatic · 08/08/2019 11:30

@mumof1hants actually that chart is kinda helpful, I'm 5 weeks now and it's nice to know that the risk literally drops every day. Still checking for blood every time I go to the loo! Which is becoming quite frequently! I had a chemical at 4weeks +4 last month, so literally every day beyond that I'm counting as a blessing right now.

SeptemberDaisies · 08/08/2019 11:45

Hi everyone.
Can I join please? I am 5 weeks exactly today, got my BFP last week and I am due 9th April according to my LMP.
I have a little girl already who is 19 months. So excited but scared as well haha :)

Bookworm83 · 08/08/2019 12:10

@mumof1hants thanks for the link, that does help! And you're right about the reasons why miscarriages happen, it's nature's way of fixing a problem - still a devastating experience though...
Fingers crossed for healthy babies for us all! 🤞

mumof1hants · 08/08/2019 12:12

Glad it's helpful for some. It does drop quite dramatically after 6 weeks which is good to know xx
