I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

Congratulations @Wilson1990 💕 I phoned GP and they gave me number for midwife unit. Then I rang them and they're sorting out my booking appointment for between 8-10 weeks. Think all areas are different but if in doubt maybe start with GP surgery?

BumblieBee · 07/08/2019 10:24

@mumof1hants how are your symptoms today? Mine have disappeared today, trying to ignore any worries and enjoy not feeling queasy 😂

mumof1hants · 07/08/2019 10:40

@BumblieBee still none! Haven't had anything since Saturday. I'm just hoping everything's ok. Lots of people on here said they'd had them come and go so I'm trying not to worry xx

ReeReeR · 07/08/2019 10:58

I saw the GP and she was lovely. She had read my notes so knew about my full term loss earlier this year (joined a new GP surgery this week). She said she can hand on heart say people have bleeding and go on to have successful pregnancies but it is too early to tell and too early to refer me to EPU so suggested another test in a week. She said her door is open and even if reception says she’s busy to ask them to flag up to her, which was nice.

NewtothisFBK4921 · 07/08/2019 12:49

Hi everyone, has anyone ever been scanned abroad? I'm on holiday but been brown spotting every day since Friday so would really like to know what's going on now - it's horrid not knowing.

@ReeReeR so sorry to hear about your baby girl. In terms of cramping, I had loads in my first week and the GP who is also pregnant said cramping is totally normal as it's everything stretching.
All my family with kids have confirmed they had cramping too so totally normal and wishing you all the best x

Bramble1983 · 07/08/2019 13:16

@NewtothisFBK4921 no I haven’t been scanned abroad but was scanned here at 5+1 as had been brown spotting and then large gush of red / brown blood. Everything looked fine 😀 how far along are you?
Which country are you in?

@ReeReeR your GP sounds super lovely. Will keep everything crossed for you ❤️

@BumblieBee and @mumof1hants I am exactly the same- my nausea is brought on by eating and I found myself eating yesterday, just to check I could make the sick feeling come back! I swear I’m turning into a complete nutcase 😝

mommybear1 · 07/08/2019 14:46

Hi @NewtothisFBK4921 I can't help with the scanning abroad but I remember from my first pregnancy I had brown spotting and discharge the midwife said it was old blood - she advised me that if it wasn't red/pink I shouldn't worry too much but let her know. Not sure that's entirely helpful but I wanted to pass that on.

NewtothisFBK4921 · 07/08/2019 14:56

@mommybear1 @Bramble1983 thank you both. I called the EPU in the UK and they said it's totally normal to be spotting and not to worry. Apparently implantation can cause some bruising that can spot throughout first trimester

Mimibear2019 · 07/08/2019 15:34

Hi all, I found out I was pregnant last week and due around April 5th. This is my 3rd pregnancy, I have a little girl who has just turned 3 and had a missed miscarriage in December last year. Finding this pregnancy already so different from the last few. More anxious and googling every symptom, even though I had no symptoms of miscarriage the last time. I have probably done over 10 tests and did another clear blue week test this morning and it has gone up to 3+ now so that's a bit of a relief. Am also thinking about arranging an early scan but gonna try and hold off for as long as I can. Here's to a happy healthy pregnancy 🤞

Worrywart21 · 07/08/2019 15:41

Hi everyone. Just found out I’m pregnant and due around the 16th April.

I’m due to get married on 08 May so it’s looking likely that this will need to delayed. I’m in total shock and denial as it wasn’t planned.

I have a 7 year old and 3 year old so at least it happened whilst they’re still young and I’m still in the flow of young children and family life.

I have been having cramping which is unusual for me so I knew something was going on.

MrsG3 · 07/08/2019 17:43

Anyone else feel like they're permanently living in the Sahara desert?? 🥵

ShirleyPhallus · 07/08/2019 18:06

Yes @MrsG3! Also I’m weeing all the time and have got the wriggliest stomach

The nausea and headaches have gone this week though, hoorah!

Carysmatic · 07/08/2019 18:29

@MrsG3 I had a moment today where I just felt like I was burning up, but don't feel hot all the time. But defiantly running higher than normal

Makingawish · 07/08/2019 18:46

Hi everyone, can I join? I've literally just got my BFP today at 10DPO and my EDD is 22nd April. It's our first and I'm SO anxious!

I also have no idea what to do now? 🙈

EjWil · 07/08/2019 18:52

@MrsG3 I am burning up on and off all day, my favourite time is in the car with the air con on 😂

MrsG3 · 07/08/2019 19:37

I'm seriously considering defrosting the freezer just so I can sit in front of it 🤣🤣🤣

Sorbfsiabs · 07/08/2019 20:24

Just wanted to add that I had bleeding for 3 weeks in the beginning with my last pregnancy, he's asleep in his cot atm.

Lizim · 07/08/2019 20:26

Hi, I'm new 🙋‍♀️ Congratulations everyone!
I had my BFP last thursday and my due date is looking to be around 8th april. First time pregnancy Grin I've Got my first midwife appointment on 23rd august, which feels like a lifetime away.
I have had a tightness, kind of like I've done 100 crunches, right across my lower abdomen since monday. I wouldn't call it a pain, more of an uncomfortable sensation but it has been constant. Has anyone else had this? I am panicking a bit. I was convinced it was trapped wind but after dr googling it, I think trapped wind only lasts a a few hours

elb1504 · 07/08/2019 21:09

Hi all, tentatively joining got BFP and due date is around 12th April, first time pregnancy.

Anyone else just not really thinking it's real as it's so early on? I'm getting a lot of cramps and occasional queasy feeling, not sure what to do next really though 🤔

Makingawish · 07/08/2019 21:24

I feel the same @elb1504 😩 my only real symptom is extreme fatigue and just not feeling 'right'. I'm only 3 weeks though 🙈

MOGMOGMOG85 · 07/08/2019 21:35

Hiiiii! I have been trying for 16 long months, exploratory ultrasound in may showed fibroids and enlarged right ovary. This combined with the wait left me gutted, I'd never ever been pregnant before and lost all hope. My period was due last thursday and it didn't come, which upset me because it's normally regular and when it's late it's just all the more heartbreaking getting your hopes up. on monday i gave in and did a test just before bed. The first second was nothing, then I thought I could see something and before I had room to doubt it, it got stronger and stronger and stronger. As stupid as it sounds after actively trying for 16 months, I couldn't process it - I was in complete shock and felt really confused for ages, and then such a rush of emotions. Didn't sleep monday night, then intensely paranoid tuesday at work, rushing to the loo to check for blood all the time. By the time I saw the doctor to confirm monday eve I had calmed down slightly. 48 hours later, slightly calmer again, but I am just fixated on "what if i lose it? what if i lose it?" as I don't know how I'd take the heartache after so much disappointment already. I know other people have it far far worse, and I can't control what is going to happen, but I think I just need to give myself time to slowly adjust and trust this embryo to be a fighter! Does anyone else have fibroids? My first GP told me they can affect pregnancy and miscarriage but the current GP doesn't even seem to know what fibroids are and I feel no-one has explained to me at all!! Guess I'll wait until I see the midwives, hoping for an appointment in the next couple of weeks. Congratulations everyone, I am just on a different planet at the moment, I am so so happy even through my worries! xxx

MOGMOGMOG85 · 07/08/2019 21:38

@elb1504 and @Makingawish - I'm due April 10th and I have no symptoms. My right boob is maybe slightly tender but I have been squeezing it regularly so it could be that haha! I'm constipated but that is def the folic acid. I have been very emotional but I think that could be the news, and I tend to be a little bit anyway! I'm sure we'll get our symptoms in a couple of weeks and then we'll wish we didn't! Congratulations, I'm a first time pregnancy too xx

MOGMOGMOG85 · 07/08/2019 21:40

@Sorbfsiabs is the group private as in can other people see you're in it??
