@purplefig I wouldn’t worry too much about the symptoms - mine come and go hour by hour! My main ones at the mo are the metal taste (it’s so awful) and the tiredness. Sickness is fine; it’s nothing more than a bit of a queasy feeling for me. And I’ve got two in there!! Enjoy the scan and keep us posted :)

@MrsC87 Oh Hun that’s just unbelievable - are you not able to just go home and go back when they are ready for you? You must be going out of your mind. I really hope it happens soon now!

Scan all good - measuring at 8+3. So relieved and happy. And just the one @MrsEG ;)

@purplefig Wonderful news!! I bet you are so relieved now and can actually enjoy the mild symptoms!! Hope you manage to get through to your midwife this week.

@MrsC87 sorry to hear that you're having a rough time - I hope that something moves in soon for you.
I've been to a wedding this weekend, I was so worried that my friends would realise that I wasn't drinking but actually no one noticed at all! Especially once they were pissed 😂 I just drank tonic water so people assumed it was g&t, and I even did a shot of tap water when the tequilas came out, bar staff said there's one at every wedding...

We had a 4D scan yesterday at 32+1, baby even cooperated and let us get some lovely pictures 🥰. She did give us all a rude gesture right at the end though 🙈🤣 we got to see her smiling and blinking, sucking her thumb, making funny faces etc, it was amazing!
She's measuring a week and a bit ahead at the moment, current estimated weight is 4lb 15oz 😮
Also between our GP appt on Monday and our scan on Saturday she had turned from head up to head down too.
Feeling even more excited to meet her now, seeing her little face was just like "wow!".

Hey!! It's been an exciting day. We test drove a car, we think we might go for a Kia Rio, it's a nice upgrade from our tiny car without being huge. Just trying to sort a deal out.

We also had a little 'we can be excited now' splurge 🙂 Got a sleep suite, little shoes, a blanket and a baby name book. And a tiny cuddly eyore and a toy robot (dh's choice 😂) We tried some prams in Mothercare, we really like the Mothercare Journey, nice and light, easy to use and a good price. Gotta get the cr first, to see if the car seat will fit.

@purplefig I’m not too bad - both days this weekend I’ve needed a 2 hour ‘nap’ but I’ve made it through the cinema today so that’s something! Finding the weird mouth taste and nausea is much worse in the evenings though, I’m starving but can’t face anything other than chips!

@daisiesandpeonies I bet it does, we had a few pregnant at our wedding! Glad you made it through :)

@Fivebyfive2 Hope you enjoyed the shopping! I scared myself looking at the double cost of everything this weekend...... let’s not think about that right now haha!

@MrsEG you're definitely entitled to double nap time! What did you see at the cinema? Metallic taste sounds so irritating - heard it's quite common unfortunately. Fingers crossed it's a first trimester thing! Haha yep, Oven chips - preferably McCains and certainly not my old favourite fries - are about all I can manage some days too.

@daisiesandpeonies yeah I've found people don't notice almost as much as you worry about being found out. Did the tonic trick on my brother and after one drink said something and replied "ahhh look at you, one drink and you're tipsy already" mwahahaha.

@Fivebyfive2 @purplefig Saw the new SpiderMan! It was pretty good; was delighted to watch Jake Gyllenhaal for 2 hours (that’s probably what kept me awake)
Yes same, the saltier the better - ashamed to say I have just been to the McDonalds drive thru with DH and am now the proud owner of a large chips 🙈

I'm off work today for my Birthday 😀

@Fivebyfive2 day 6 and still waiting, I'm now top of the list but have been told they have a staff shortage so are calling people off study leave aswell as a bed blockage in postnatal!
I had a mental breakdown yesterday so they put me in my own room- thankfully slept!
It's just the not knowing, I've got a feeling it just won't be today!! 😤😥

@GemmaJen @Trashkitten10 I’ve done the nappy lady questionnaire now, she recommended using bamboozle stretch full time so I’ll do a bit more research into those. I do plan to use disposables for the first few weeks though, I want to get into the swing of things with the baby first before worrying about reusable. I’ve ordered a set of reusable wipes too, much easier to make a decision about those!

We went to a nearly new sale, picked up a play mat and bouncer chair and a load of 3-6 month clothes. I think we’re sorted for clothes now for the first 6 months. Just basics like crib bedding and muslins left to get, and need to make a decision on nappies. So we’re almost sorted in terms of buying stuff! Our house on the other hand is still a building site but I’m currently living in denial about that cos if I think about it too much I start to get stressed.

So I saw my consultant this morning to go over my scan results in more detail - and, there is a small chance there is actually three babies (!!!). In one sac they thought they could see two heartbeats, but can’t be sure. She has assured me this would be incredibly rare for a natural pregnancy and as it’s so early it could even just be my own heartbeat interfering etc, but I have another scan this Friday and they’ll be double checking for sure how many are in there. It’s so much to take in - Friday cannot come soon enough now!

@stormtrooperjulian It’s just such a shock, there’s been a lot of information to take in the last couple of days! Whatever is in there, we’ll be happy with and will figure it out somehow haha! She just mentioned this ‘possible third heartbeat’ and I nearly fell off my chair. All I am staying hopeful for now is that all still looks happy and healthy in there at Fridays scan!
Sounds like you got some fab stuff at the sale - are the works on your house nearly done? We wanted to get the bathroom done before the end of the year but we might shelve that now, think it would be too much stress!!

So, start of week 9 today for me and god can't I tell... the nausea is WAAAAY worse right now, it's just constant and it's just taken me three full mins to eat one bloody rich tea!! I can tell I'm guna be a grump all day 🙈

@stormtrooperjulian Excellent progress on the shopping - must feel so good to have most of it done. And having been through two renovations, and just coming to the close of this one, I really do feel for you. It's such a stressful environment to live in - do you have an end date in sight? At least you'll have a beautiful house to bring baby home to!
