Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

Mu whole body feels rough this morning, I've got really bad conjunctivitis my eyes it so swollen and gunky. Mouth sore and body aches

hazandduck · 09/06/2019 08:33

I know I’m being irrational but a minute ago the cat jumped from the top window in our bedroom and landed right on my lower abdomen. It really hurt. I can’t stop crying! I’ve not told DH that I’m pregnant yet because I want to surprise him for his birthday. I swore after Dd I wouldn’t let myself get anxious whilst pregnant again but I feel like I’m already in that awful place I was two year ago. I’ve had therapy but the memory of my miscarriages still feels so fresh! The fact I’m crying so much just makes me think I’m going to start bleeding any second. Agh. Wish I could wake up in two months time and this crappy phase be over.
Sorry for the rant! Hope everyone is doing ok.

Hopex92 · 09/06/2019 09:09

@kb2019 that's good to know this could all be quite normal. I don't know about you but my periods were awful between the pain of them and lasting so long. The pill made them bearable but I'd not taken the pill for last 2 years.
@hazandduck I hope you are OK and all remains OK. It is hard not to worry. Regarding your cat, my doctor told me at first trimester it's very hard to hurt baby in there, he was very heavily pushing my stomach but baby is very well protected as so small at this stage. I've a 19kg bulldog staffy dog who must sense I'm pregnant as she's begun backing herself up against my tummy to rest on, I allow her because although she's heavy she is gentle. I've also two big rabbits (the size of a smallish cat) who like to dive at me for cuddles (yes it's a mad house) so although I'm worrying about everything I'm actually OK about my tummy at this stage. Try not to worry, I hope your OK.

Can I join? I got my BFP this morning but didn't believe it so of course spent a fortune on FRER and clearblue both of which are very positive and I can't quite believe it Grin from my last period I have a due date of 20th February Smile

tisonlymeagain · 09/06/2019 13:18

Ha welcome to my world @FairyDogMother11 I haven't stopped peeing on sticks. Thought my ClearBlue Digital on Friday would be the last when it showed 3+ weeks but then I had a large bleed and so I'm back to peeing.

Still strong so I am keeping positive!

FairyDogMother11 · 09/06/2019 13:25

@tisonlymeagain I've got my fingers crossed for you! I had to buy the digi so DH believed it - he could see the lines quite clearly but it was the reading the word that made him actually take it in haha. I've got a FRER left and another digi but I've put them out of reach for now! Grin

FairyDogMother11 · 09/06/2019 13:29

Here are mine, the cheapie one was early morning and then the other two were done about lunchtime haha

ronniemipperton · 09/06/2019 13:51

@tisonlymeagain that’s a hell of a line!

I haven’t been doing further peeing on sticks as my body apparently really likes to cling onto HCG even if things have gone wrong... which is annoying but probably saving me a fair bit of money at the moment!

Self referred online today, only 5w so feels a bit early but figured I’d like to be in the system in case anything goes wrong again.

tisonlymeagain · 09/06/2019 13:53

Yes @ronniemipperton it is a strong line, though like you say, HCG hangs around a fair while after mc. Scan tomorrow afternoon, hopefully will know more then.

I self-referred 2 weeks ago, not heard a thing!

bessie84 · 09/06/2019 14:29

@tisonlymeagain- what time is your scan? I have a scan at 3.20pm.

tisonlymeagain · 09/06/2019 15:16

Mine is at 3.40pm @bessie84

gizmosslave · 09/06/2019 17:23

Hope everyone is okay. I’ve turned 5 weeks today and my boobs bloody kill. So does my back/ lower stomach, which I had the whole pregnancy with my son, drs wouldn’t do anything but I can’t cope another 9 months like that! Got dr on 21st so going to mention it. Dunno if linked to my pcos?

I also had the date for midwife through for 26th June. 3 days before we get married! My head is buzzing currently!

happylass · 09/06/2019 19:56

@bessie84 I also had DS through IVF and I’ve had many, many cycles so I’m well used to the hormones but it doesn’t get any easier. I feel a bit calmer today but I was absolutely raging yesterday Angry. Poor DH!
I’m also not sure whether it’s the pregnancy hormones or the meds but I keep waking ridiculously early. I had it with my last pregnancy until about 12 weeks too (which is when I came off the meds). Tiredness and rage is not a good combo!

coconutcurls · 09/06/2019 20:41

@happylass I am struggling with sleep right now. I only got 4 hours sleep last night which is ridiculous for a Saturday night in and no plans today. I don't know how I'll cope for the rest of term (I'm a teacher) if I continue getting so little sleep! 😩

happylass · 09/06/2019 21:37

@coconutcurls I teach too (secondary). 6 weeks and counting Sad

coconutcurls · 09/06/2019 21:47

@happylass ah cool. I'm in primary. I'm just hoping I can get through the next six weeks and then enjoy pregnancy for a while during the summer. I'm planning on not telling work until September as I think my 12 week scan will be around the first week of the holidays.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 10/06/2019 08:27

Hello All, Can I join??

AF was due yesterday, I got my DFP on Friday morning (serial tester over here). I turned 30 at the weekend and this is my first. So far only my DP and my best friend know. I had to tell her as she couldn't understand why I didn't want to drink on Saturday night - no one else even realised thankfully.

I went into Boots and stocked up on Pregnacare, I have put in a form to register with a new doctor in the area (I am living here two years but have not needed a doctor down here yet). Not sure what else I should be doing? Is there anything I can start using to try prevent stretch marks?

So far I am very tired (and cranky) and sore nipples. Hopefully I don't get morning sickness etc. 2 years ago I had a MC at approx 12 weeks and I didn't know I was pregnant and I had zero symptoms!

ImMeantToBeWorking · 10/06/2019 08:34

I have tried tree different calculators and they are giving me three different dates - the 16th, the 19th and the 22nd of Feb, all based on the same date for my last period. So will have to wait for the doctor/midwife to clear that up!

Is anyone here from the west of Ireland?

hazandduck · 10/06/2019 08:48

Thank you @hopex92, that made me feel better :) I did end up cracking and telling DH, bless him he cried. Wish I’d waited until his birthday on Wednesday but he knew something was up because of me crying so much. I felt better once I’d told him because I have someone to share it with. He’s already looking for a bigger car 🙈 getting excited and carried away. He keeps asking DD (18mos) if she wants a baby sister. Assuming it’s a girl ha! I’m just trying to live in the moment, today I am pregnant.

Hope everyone is well x

PooWillyBumBum · 10/06/2019 09:07

Hello,

I got a BFP yesterday. Wasn't TTC. Test says 2-3 weeks which I think means 5-6 weeks from first period??

We have an 11 year old (had her when I was 17!) She is in private school and we have no idea how we will afford it for 2! I am a bit shellshocked and excited but also a bit afraid and sad. I really enjoy my quiet life, tidy home, career, disposable income and size 8 jeans and am not looking forward to losing any of them. DH works away Mon-Thurs quite often, usually elsewhere in Europe. I feel nervous for so many reasons.

No one will believe it wasn't planned. We gave up drinking a couple of months ago (for health reasons) and last week we sold our house and had an offer accepted on a larger house! Feels like my body knew before I did!?

InOmniaParatus13 · 10/06/2019 09:24

Morning ladies, hope you are all well!
I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I’m moving house today, my nausea is awful today which is typical haha.
Yesterday I couldn’t stop eating, today I have barely any appetite as I feel so sick!
My private scan will hopefully be booked for 1st July when I’m 8 weeks, it’s only £40 and hopefully everything will be okay.
I’m trying to enjoy my pregnancy and try not to stress too much, I just pray this wee miracle sticks!

tisonlymeagain · 10/06/2019 09:46

I am WIPED out today. Working from home and already thinking about climbing into bed. Also feeling a bit gross and yucky but I am not sure if that is nerves about my scan this afternoon. I am bricking it.

Brianna83 · 10/06/2019 09:56

Hello everyone, I've been lurking and reading for a couple of weeks now so thought I'd say hi.

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and have a private scan booked for 19th. Have had an early miscarriage before so wanted to make sure everything was ok. This is so different to my last pregnancy already though. Had no symptoms last time and I currently feel like a massive steaming pile of sh*t.

Which leads me to my question. Does everyone else's nausea come in waves? Mine will be barely there in the background for a couple of hours and then just starts to ramp up and comes on over maybe 20/30 mins and then I have 10/20 minutes of feeling awful, nothing eases it and I just have to pace to take my mind off it and then suddenly it'll go as quickly as it came. Anyone else feeling the same?? Seems so bizarre.

Waiting for your scan this afternoon @tisonlymeagain, I feel very invested in it!

Brianna83 · 10/06/2019 09:57

...and already I've made a guffaw not understanding what a couple of little asterisks will do to my post (face palm)

tisonlymeagain · 10/06/2019 09:59

Ha thanks @Brianna83 I will update when I get back though not sure they'll be much to say at this early point.

Re nausea, I haven't really had anything major to speak of until today, but I just can't tell if it's hunger, nerves, tiredness. It seems to get me late in the evening and it's almost like being hungover?
