Good luck for the future @lozzlepop. It will happen x

Omg I just drank 2 cokes and I'm wired! I haven't been drinking caffeine at all but really fancied cold coke in the sunshine. I forgot it had caffeine its like I've had a triple espresso!!! Confused

Lozzlepop · 30/04/2019 15:20

@Mintypea5 @LittleAndOften thank you so much, I thought I was starting to feel better but have been floored with intense pain this afternoon 😭😭 feel so unwell!!

Mintypea5 · 30/04/2019 15:36

@Lozzlepop I'm sure it will be of little comfort right now but I've been where you are a few times. Please take it easy things come and go. Just let your body (and yourself) take its time to do what it needs. I'm thinking of you and wishing you every luck for the future Thanks

Hi ladies, just wanted to say thank you for the advice the other day! I called the EPU and they told me to ring the GP so I had to wait for an appointment this morning. GP had to do the usual "it might be ok it might not" but she didn't want to refer me back to the EPU as we've got our scan next Tuesday and based on usual waiting times she said we might not get seen until next week anyway so better to just wait. Anyway. Not very helpful and absolutely no way I would have lasted without a breakdown until next week! Called a private place and they let me go for one of the cheaper dating scans on today's list so I got to see little one wiggling away. They can't find an obvious cause for the bleeding or cramping so think it's just one of those things. Obviously it's not to say everything is absolutely fine but it all looked ok which has put my mind at rest for now (basically until tomorrow when I probably spot again and panic) xx

Hayley89 · 30/04/2019 16:08

@Lozzlepop I'm so sorry to hear this news. I hope you have people around you for comfort and support. Make sure you make time for you to rest and recover Thanks

Mintypea5 · 30/04/2019 16:12

@Hayley89 glad that you managed to get yourself a scan. Hope next weeks Scan is all ok. Mine is Tuesday and I'm starting to panic

Prequelle · 30/04/2019 17:18

Had scan. Everything okay. Due date is now Halloween.

DP convinced he saw 'balls and widge'

Hayley89 · 30/04/2019 17:31

Thanks @Mintypea5! Ours is the same day so I'll be keeping everything crossed for both of us!

Haha @Prequelle "widge" never heard that before, love it!

Mintypea5 · 30/04/2019 18:23

@Prequelle oooo exciting!

Zarara · 01/05/2019 07:57

Hi all can I join please, I did join earlier but didn’t post much as I was feeling a bit anxious. Baby no.2 for me due 6th November, had my 12 wk scan yesterday and all is looking well. Told most family and friends and now just have to tell work, which I’m anxious about as I’ve only worked there since October.

Mintypea5 · 01/05/2019 07:58

@Zarara congratulations! I can't wait for my scan to start telling people. I'm also nervous about telling my work. I only came back from maternity in April Blush

BobbySD345 · 01/05/2019 12:18

I told my boss this morning even though I'm only 11 weeks because I am struggling and he is really approachable. He was very kind and has told me to have a couple of days off to rest.
I have had my blood and urine samples back from my booking appointment and the GP wants me in for an appointment tomorrow Confused

BobbySD345 · 01/05/2019 12:19

@Mintypea5 only came back from maternity this month? I have a friend who did that, she very much enjoyed the short spell back at work and then off again !

Mintypea5 · 01/05/2019 12:40

@BobbySD345 yeah Blush I thought it would take us a few months. I think I'll be back 7ish months before going again. This time I'm taking a year

Mintypea5 · 01/05/2019 12:40

Clearly I mean last month as it's May now! 🤣

Zarara · 01/05/2019 13:03

Mintypea5 how long did you take off for maternity leave last time?

BobbySD345 · 01/05/2019 13:23

@Mintypea5 I forgot it's 1st May !

Mintypea5 · 01/05/2019 15:18

@Zarara 9 months Grin I was due to take 6 but extended after they messed me around job wise

bearface45 · 01/05/2019 17:01

I only started a new job in September so am a bit worried about it, last time I had worked there 7 years so felt like i had earned it. I hope they take it ok to make it worse the company has just set up in the uk and i’ll be the first person to go on maternity

ACuppaSolvesEverything · 01/05/2019 18:05

@bearface45 I only started my job in March Confused I won’t have worked long enough to get maternity pay but I hope I have a job to go back to. I really love my new role too!
Provisionally it’s a six month contract so I’ll have to tell them before they’ve decided whether or not to keep me on. Nervous times!
It’s super reassuring to hear other bosses have been good though so thanks ladies.

bearface45 · 01/05/2019 18:31

I can imagine that’s a worry with it not permanent yet. I believe if you have been working recently though you can claim maternity allowance instead of SSP

bearface45 · 01/05/2019 18:32

SMP rather

Mintypea5 · 01/05/2019 18:56

Today has been LONG. My non working day... DS2 is teething so bad so was up most of the night so I got zero
Sleep and am KNACKERED. Poor things been inconsolable all day.

DH is off to Europe for a stag do tomorrow until Sunday. Trying not to be too annoyed and bitter ... the idea of a horrifically teething baby, being worried about my scan on Tuesday / the last pregnancy I miscarried at this point on this bank holiday weekend while the dad was in Europe repeating itself and I'm tired Sad

Sorry moan over! On the upside I plan to eat Chinese food (yessss giving in to those cravings) and watching a lot of films that make me cry and laugh Grinbecause that's the sane thing to do

Pollypocket5 · 01/05/2019 19:08

@Mintypea5 oh bless you! Well I like nothing more than junk food on the sofa watching rubbish on TV and having a good cry.

Hoping your son gives you an easy time too!

Sunshineface123 · 01/05/2019 19:37

Enjoy Chinese Mintypea and I'm sure everything will be fine. Get those funny films on too.

Got my scan date today, 16th may, I'll be 13.2! So annoyingly late!!
