@Hayley89 I've had the same loss of symptoms since 9 weeks and it is worrying, but I've read it can be normal so I haven't done anything about it. That said, I haven't had any bleeding and I'm 11 weeks tomorrow so a week behind you.

If it's worrying you then give the EPU a call - they'll either reassure you and you won't have to mention it to OH if you don't want to or if they want to see you it will hopefully give you both the reassurance that you both need?

Mintypea5 · 28/04/2019 11:30

@Hayley89 it's very normal
For symptoms to disappear around then and also not to have a bump yet. Around 12 weeks your uterus rises above the pelvis which causes the "bump" but honestly it varies women to women! My first DS I was able to hide I was pregnant from some people until 36 weeks because I just didn't Show that much! With DS2 I didn't show properly until gone 20 weeks

If you're worried give the epu sea call. They'll chat to you and decide if you need to come in for a scan etc.

My scan is 7th too and i have zero symptoms. It's usual for me tho in pregnancy and although I had a 6 week scan with heartbeat I'm also starting to get nervous

Pollypocket5 · 28/04/2019 11:32

@Hayley89 I rang my doctor after some spotting and he rang the epu for me and made me an app 2 days later. My dating scan is the 7th May and I know I would be sending myself crazy having to wait that long so probably best you get checked out.

I have heard that symptoms towards your second trimester can disappear so hopefully it's just that. I'm sure everything is all fine however I know how hard it is to not worry.

Fingers crossed for you but definitely either give your GP or the EPU a call tomorrow. X

L0ULEW · 28/04/2019 13:31

@Hayley89 Im in the same boat as you! My symptoms all completely dissappeared at 8+2 it scared me too so I booked an early scan and it was all fine. Couple of weeks later I bought a doppler as I freaked out again (heard the heartbeat). I feel great, boobs are tender but nothing crazy and I've lost my bloatedness. I'd say hold out until your scan or book a private one if you've not had any bleeding or anything like that or call your midwife helpline as they will be able to reassure you. Trust your body, you've got this. My scan is on Thursday and I'll be 11+5 then so a good few weeks after all my symptoms have gone. Remember every pregnancy is different and I've honestly found that by reading this thread sometimes it causes me to worry as I feel like I should still be feeling like crap when I'm not.
Try to relax though, but unless you get stabbing pains or bleeding I wouldn't go to EPU :)

LordoftheRinse · 28/04/2019 15:20

@Hayley89 Remember every pregnancy is different, and it’s common for symptoms to come and go and to have a bit of spotting. If you are worried call your GP to put your mind at rest, lovely

Hayley89 · 28/04/2019 19:36

Thank you all 🙏 I had a bit more spotting earlier but again it was only a small amount. I'm going to give the EPU a call tomorrow and see what they think. If they tell me they aren't concerned I think that will put my mind more at ease than sitting and stewing!

LexieLoos · 29/04/2019 07:32

How’s everyone feeling this morning?

@Hayley89 My symptoms pretty much disappeared overnight - I worried myself sick but all was fine.

I have my 12 week scan today, and I’m worried and excited in equal parts!

tigsyboo · 29/04/2019 07:34

@Hayley89 in my experience spotting should be checked.
Also I've found EPU are very led by your presentation- if you are saying 'I'm really worried please see me!' You are more likely to be seen than if you say 'just want a bit of advice' as they will save the scans appointments for ladies who are going out of their minds with their adverse symptoms.
So I'd be saying I'm really concerned.

PrayingandHoping · 29/04/2019 08:04

@LexieLoos I have my scan today though. I'm nervous/excited and I only had a scan 10 days ago (private because we were going on a family holiday) 🤞🤞

PrayingandHoping · 29/04/2019 08:04

Too not though 🤦🏼‍♀️

LexieLoos · 29/04/2019 08:19

@PrayingandHoping Ooh what time is yours? Mine isn’t until lunchtime so I’ve got the morning to get through first

PrayingandHoping · 29/04/2019 08:23

11.45, have to be there 15mins before.

Thankfully I have a busy morning 😁

thumper59 · 29/04/2019 09:55

13 weeks today! Just sore boobs and a bloody lingering headache now. Thankfully the nausea seems to have gone. So excited for all you ladies with scans coming up! We've got a longggg wait until our 20 week one now!

Mintypea5 · 29/04/2019 11:26

My migraines are so strong now. Damn you hormone changes! I've been completely incapacitated all weekend.

Still got a whole week until my scan and starting to stress! I hate not having symptoms Sad also has a horrible nightmare last night I was bleeding lots

LittleAndOften · 29/04/2019 11:48

Hi everyone, I see there are lots of scans due this week. Mine is on Friday! Looking forward to seeing your pics. My symptoms haven't changed which I'm hoping is a good sign - still feeling sick often, totally knackered, heartburn too, massive boobs, insatiable appetite. I've started weeing frequently at night over the past few days too.

DH works at a GP surgery and had to tell the partners in order to get time off for our scan. They asked how I was and he told them my symptoms - the response was "good"! They saw it as a sign of a strong pregnancy. It wasn't like this with DS, I had intermittent symptoms then, but after 3 m/cs in the interim years I'm now encouraged by how crap I feel and trying not to moan! We're all so different aren't we Grin

LittleAndOften · 29/04/2019 11:50

@Mintypea5 I'm sorry to hear about your migraine that sounds awful. I hope you can get some relief. Indian head massage?

I had a nightmare all my teeth fell out Confused

Mintypea5 · 29/04/2019 11:56

@LittleAndOften oooo I hadn't thought about that! I'll maybe see if they're safe in pregnancy

My outlook at work has stopped working and as a executive assistant my whole life revolves around diary and email foot stamp think I should just go home

PrayingandHoping · 29/04/2019 12:25

Scan all done. Now to tell people. Eek! That will be weird to have people knowing after keeping it quiet from nearly everyone for so long!

@Mintypea5 have u Tried a chiropractor? That is safe (and actually good for u) in pregnancy. When I get headaches they are always better once I've had a treatment

dottydally · 29/04/2019 13:00

@LittleAndOften mine is Friday too! Very nervous

Congrats @PrayingandHoping!

moregingerbreadplease · 29/04/2019 13:07

I’m not sure if I’ve posted before but I am due mid Nov and my scan is Friday too! This is number 2 for me

LordoftheRinse · 29/04/2019 14:00

Hi all, we’re having DF, SM and DS’s over for tea today and will tell my sisters. We’ve decided if it’s a little boy he will be called Isaac. It’s all so exciting!

LexieLoos · 29/04/2019 14:20

Scan all done here too!
Baby’s a proper wriggler, it took ages to get the photos and measurements!

Is everyone telling people after the 12 week scan? I was planning on waiting for the Downs Syndrome screening results but don’t know if I can wait any more

Unsureursula · 29/04/2019 14:22

I’m Friday too- v nervous!

PrayingandHoping · 29/04/2019 14:23

@LexieLoos we'd already told a handful of people and told my family last weekend (we had a private 11 week scan before) as we were going away with them and couldn't not....

We are telling DH side today and then will make it public.

Mintypea5 · 29/04/2019 14:50

@PrayingandHoping I'll investigate chiropractor thanks

We're telling family after our 12 week scan but my DH work all know now and a handful of my friends. Can't believe we've still got a week to wait! Scan I should be 13+1
