Morning all, lovely scan photos!
Our 12 week scan is on Monday, and I feel like I’m wishing the time away but I just want to see that everything is ok

It’s our first baby and we’re not going to find out what we’re having either.

Also yes yes to the pulling sensations, especially if I stand up or move too quickly.

When is everyone going to start shopping? I feel it’s still so early but can’t help have a sneaky browse!

LittleAndOften · 26/04/2019 08:39

Morning all, our 12 week scan is a week today. I'm keeping everything crossed for good news. Lovely to see scan pics coming in. We've decided we are going to find out the sex this time, but the sonographer said they don't do that until 20 weeks?! We didn't find out with DS so anyone know if this is right or is it just local policy?

Farmmum7 · 26/04/2019 09:02

Hi, I'm new to this! I'm 30 and due 28/11/2019. This is baby #3 but so far this pregnancy is so much different to my last 2 pregnancies 8 & 9 years ago I've been so unwell for weeks now I'm on anti sickness tablets and still can't seem to function I'm finding it pretty tough!

Pollypocket5 · 26/04/2019 10:42

Thankyou @Mintypea5 and @RainhamRosie feel like I can proper relax now and start enjoying pregnancy a little more.

As for finding out we are really on the fence. I really want a surprise but at the same time don't know if we can wait that long.

LordoftheRinse · 26/04/2019 10:52

Morning all, I’m so tired. This LO is really taking it out of me, I’m hungry all the time too. I’m really taking ‘eating for two’ to the next level!.

ACuppaSolvesEverything · 26/04/2019 11:57

@LordoftheRinse me too! Constantly tired no matter how much I sleep. And I don’t have any other little ones to look after so super respect to all the pregnant mums out there!
As for eating...I ate an entire tiger loaf last night and was still hungry Blush

RainhamRosie · 26/04/2019 12:17

I'm absolutely shattered today. I've had to cancel all my work meetings as they were scattered across the county and I'm worried to drive I'm so sleepy. This does mean I'm working from home and the temptation to nap is high!

bearface45 · 26/04/2019 12:32

LittleAndOften Yes that’s right not until your 20 scan unless you have a private email me but don’t think they can tell as early as 12 weeks.
I’m so hungry but find nearly all food disgusting!

bearface45 · 26/04/2019 12:32

Private scan rather

Mintypea5 · 26/04/2019 12:37

@LittleAndOften yep the NHS won't tell you until 20 and even then sometimes they can't see and I've heard some trusts don't tell anymore.

If you want to know before it's via private gender scans usually from 16 weeks

PrayingandHoping · 26/04/2019 13:32

We were offered the Harmony Test from 10
Weeks at our private clinics and as well as checking health issues it would also tell you the sex. It was £££££ though. We didn't go for it. Hopefully we will find out at 20 weeks

BobbySD345 · 26/04/2019 13:58

I cannot get comfortable at work. We have these awful office chairs that are rock hard. Been out at lunch and bought a pillow but now I'm too high up Angry haha !
I have a scan on Monday at 11 weeks but I've had those lightening crotch pains all morning so I'm feeling a little anxious. Hope everyone is OK x

JoJoSaysHello · 26/04/2019 17:13

@LittleAndOften I know some trusts won't tell anymore. I think if you find at via scan early on they can get it wrong as girls can be swollen and look like boys and boys might not be visible yet.. I've read a few things about people who have prepared for the wrong gender as a result!

We've decided we won't be finding out (unless I get too impatient and change my mind!!). I don't normally like surprises and I know I'll spend the rest of the pregnancy guessing, but I think the surprise on the day will be wonderful!

I'm also having ligament pains when I sneeze or move too quickly!

TrashKitten10 · 26/04/2019 17:55

Lovely scans @WineWinner @RainhamRosie and @thumper59

@BobbySD345 Do work know you're pregnant? They should probably check your chair as part of your risk assessment. I'm sure it's their responsibility to make sure you're in a good chair.

@Pollypocket5 Great news!

Just got back from our scan and all is looking good which is a huge relief. I'd overdone the water consumption hoping to get a good view and nearly wet myself in the waiting room and the lady said my bladder was so full that baby was squashed and couldn't move to do the measurements Blush I had to then go and empty my bladder and undo all my hard work haha. Baby seemed quite put out by all this messing around and was kicking their legs like a little rabbit. It was absolutely amazing thinking they were doing all that moving about and I couldn't feel a thing. EDD is 6th November, can't remember what I originally put on the list.

Loving all these scan photos.

I'm still so annoyed I'm going to be 13+3 on my first NHS scan. If I hadn't paid for a 6 week private one I would be a nervous wreck by now

BobbySD345 · 26/04/2019 17:58

@TrashKitten10 no they don't! They will do after my 12 week scan but they are useless with anything like a risk assessment so I'm not hopeful. I also have to lug suitcases full of files up and down stairs to get to and from my office which isn't ideal but I bet they won't move me...

Your scan pic is lovely! This is the problem with them saying come with a full bladder is you almost explode if there is then a wait ! Is that your 12 week dating scan?

thumper59 · 26/04/2019 18:01

@TrashKitten10 aw lovely scan it's so nice to know everything is ok and see them wriggling about 😊

I'm tired today again! I really fancy McDonald's for tea, I've told OH the baby would really love it and appreciate it if he goes and gets it for me and brings it home 😂.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 26/04/2019 19:23

@thumper59 this baby hasnt had any McDonalds cravings yet but you wouldnt believe the amount of times it definitely wants its father to rub my back Wink

I ate a shedload of percy pigs last night, then a tin of anchovies. I even grossed myself out.

thumper59 · 26/04/2019 19:28

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil haha I used that to get him to rub my belly the other night! 😂 I think baby will want mummy to have her back tickled tonight....

I never actually liked McDonald's, but I really fancied it tonight and earlier in my pregnancy I got a craving for it too!

Cegbee · 26/04/2019 20:35

And my dating scan at 13+3 today - all looks good so far! All feeling a bit more real now!

Had not And!

LordoftheRinse · 26/04/2019 21:01

Here’s my 12 week scan. The lady who did it said she thinks it’s a little boy, are any of you good at guessing?

Rotorua · 26/04/2019 21:52

@thumper59 ohh, I’m also craving McDonalds so badly since early weeks. Before pregnancy I think I had McDonalds maybe once a year. Now it once came to ordering McFlurry and fries even at midnight 🙄

Had my booking appointment today. All went well and midwife was very informative and helpful. Now have to wait for my first scan with NHS, I was promised they will squeeze it in before 14 weeks, that’s in week and a half, so will see 😬

Mintypea5 · 27/04/2019 05:44

Lovely scans everyone! I've still
Got over a week to wait!!! Getting impatient...

Aph413 · 27/04/2019 08:03

Same here @Mintypea5 mines not til the 8th and I'm so impatient and anxious to make sure everythings ok now
