good morning ladies!

chooster - i cannot wait to see a pic of theo

firsty and babymad - any movements?!

honeyapple - look at you go! pregnant and running in a school sports day - theres no stopping you!

fettle - hope the consultants appointment goes ok, what is itchy hands a sign of?

mrsmcjnr - glad your scan went well and youfinally got to see your bf baby!! im sure she feels a lot more comfortable around you now - although it really should never have gotten that far. you are bf - support each other through thick and thin thats what i say!!

seaside - helllooo!! i love your wacky dream i have had a couple of those my most weirdest one was a long line of ladies in a hall (all pg of course) the doctor stands in the middle of the hall and supports the ladies back while hubby lifts both legs and she pushes baby out. she is given 3 attempts and if baby doesnt come out the baby is then pulled out and then mother and baby walk off to a bed?!! when my turn came to push i woke up actually pushing!!!! sept 10th sounds such a long way off for next scan doesnt it - but it will fly by!! i cant believe we are all this far already

i am on holiday this week from work i was supposed to be visiting my mum for a few days but she lives in tewkesbury - have you seen how flooded it is up there?! so i cant go now as i havnt got a hope in getting there as all of the roads are shut off apparently.

just to let you know - my sex ban is over dp managed an impressive 4 times yesterday lol (TMI sorry)
we went for a family meal and i cannot believe how excited he is about this baby it makes me feel so happy inside to see how he is reacting. we had a chat over breakfast and he was literally intears about the first time baby says i love you daddy and runs up to him when he comes in from work.

my symptoms seem to have lapsed havnt been sick for a good few days and seem to have that little spring back in my step.

hope everyone else is ok, hello to everyone i havnt mentioned!!! xx

BabyMadandBIGbump · 24/07/2007 11:39

Hi ladies!

No movement yet, went to town last weekend for our childless meal that DH and I have every weekend (making the most of it) and a lady that we always see said "haven't you had that baby yet" I said "gave them chance I'm only 20 weeks with quads" her face was a picture, she even said "REALLY" bless, I said "no got 3 weeks left yet!" And also at DS's school some one else said "haven't you had that baby yet" I said "yes but I thought I would just keep the belly" LOL, some people.
Sick of the lumpy CM I keep getting having to take pads and underwear out with me where ever I go, oh well it'll be over with sooner then I know, has anyone else had lumpy CM?
DH and I have both been MNers for about 5 years now, so DH will love putting posts on the treads I go on LOL, his nick name is "a5tonmartin" so if he starts posting in here it's because I will finally be in labour, I've told him if he doesn't let you know I will set you ladies on him!

Back soon!
Babymadxx

Hi all - am back! But it's getting a bit trickier to keep up now as Isla is spending a bit more time awake - especially in the evenings (grrrr) and for 2 hours last night (double grrrrr) But having said that, she has been asleep for the last 2 hours nwo, so me and DD1 have been having some quality time together...

Dreadful journey up the M5 on Friday to get to DPs mums. 8 hours (normally takes 3) thank gawd I'm BF, else poor Isla would have starved! Then when we got off the motorway, all the roads to his mums were flooded, thought we would have to stay in a b&B for the night. Luckily, his dad also lives nearby and he came and rescued us.

Went to the wedding with both DDs in tow, it was fab - Isla slept throught the whole thing and Nelly was good as gold.

Sorry, no time to chat to everyone - just to say hope things happen for you soon Firsty and Babymad xxx

Honeyapple/Chooster - am still using disposables, keep meaning to get out the reusables, but just not quite there yet. Will start off with terries though, as they can be folded really small for tiny bottoms! Then I've got some Motherease for when she's a bit bigger - love'em.

Ready - really pleased to hear your going to carry on posting here - Kitkat said it all really

BabyMadandBIGbump · 24/07/2007 12:17

oh I forgot, had a another at home MW app yesterday, everything is fine baby is head down but not locked and loaded as yet but she said that could be a very last min thing, she thinks its down to baby being so bloody active, also at my next app again another home one (aren't I lucky) at 40+ weeks I will have a sweep done now I'm bricking it!

VERY real I'm 38+4 today and I had DS#1 at 39+3 so yes very real and I've never had a sweep before so really dont know what to think, I've already had 2 home app which is nice as other wise I would have to go the other end of town for my app which can be abit of a ball ache, and even more so with 2 DC in toe!

I know, which is worrying now I have DC off school, the chances of me going into labour with them around is now times-a-million [worried face], last night DH and I were watch a film (lying down) and my right boob just gushed , and they are getting harder as well for some reason, how are yours?

OP posts:
BabyMadandBIGbump · 24/07/2007 12:43

[asking another MNers about her boobs now that worrying] LOL

OP posts:
fettleandminifettle · 24/07/2007 13:29

Hi all

hope you are all well - can't help on the gushing boob, babymad! Sounds wet though.

Firsty - eat some more pineapple and drink raspberry leaf tea - so hope you get some movement soon! I can imagine the waiting is the worst - I was so lucky , in that I was told on Friday afternoon, that I would be induced on the following Monday evening, so we had a weekend when we did everything we could think of that we wouldn't be able to do easily with a baby (concert, cinema etc!). So I really feel for you just sitting waiting, but make sure you do get out and about and at least see people, even if it is only the lady in the local shop. I'm worried about you getting lonely and frustrated at home alone!

Bodkin - you're still sounding full of energy - hope I'm like that once I have this little one!

MrsMc - well done on the mat trousers - they do make life so much more comfy, have to say that it is only trousers I'm in for mat clothes, most of my skirts still fit me, but then I'm not anywhere as big as I was with DD.

Which leads me on to my appointment this morning, mixed news really. Heart beat strong, BP still low, urine clear, BUT, I'm aneamic again (but I'd suspected that), my liver enzymes and bile acid levels are being checked due to my itchy hands and feet (everything crossed it is not the start of cholestasis again, but i'd be so lucky if it wasn't, recurrence rate is between 60-90%, I always thought it was 50%!) and I'm measuring small (28 cm fundus height, rather than over 30cm). consultant wants to see me again in 4 weeks and to have a scan in 4 weeks to check growth. Keep telling myself if he was really worried, then he would have had me scanned today. But as DD was over 7lb at 36 week, he is a little concerned that little one isn't growing as much, which I have kept saying that i'm much smaller than I was with DD, but I put it down to this one being a boy. Please let everything be alright - I'm sure that only 2cm difference is really nothing, but it means that it hasn't grown in 2 weeks, which is more worrying in my opinion. [it might always be that the consultant isn't as good at measuring as the MW - but he did seem much more competent than when I saw him at 14 weeks]. Need to see community MW in 2 weeks time in the meantime and wait for the blood test results.

sorry, that was a bit all about me, but I feel better having got it off my chest to all you guys - I'm sure everything will be fine, but after 2 mcs and being this far in, I just kind of hoped that it would all be plain sailing this time around, but no such luck! [bets on me reporting in 4 weeks that actually everything is ok really!!]

take care all
xxx

BabyMadandBIGbump · 24/07/2007 13:49

I been taking red raspberry leaf tab's (tab's not tea I was told there stronger) since I was 37 week and from the first day I started taking them I had a big plug of CM come away (still getting that though) and much stronger BH's! After your first pineapple believe me you wont want to see another, and I've gone off curry fast! Sex is very good, DH thinks his xmas's and birthdays have all come at once! LOL!

OP posts:
honeyapple · 24/07/2007 14:17

Afternoon

Fettle- sorry to hear you had a bit of a worry with your consultant today. I think the whole measuring thing can often be out. But good that they are keeping an eye on it, and you get to have another scan.

I saw MW today. Wanted to see her before I went on holiday, even though I'm not yet 28wks (which was when she told me to come back). Got to make another appointment in about 3 wks to take 2nd lot of bloods. All fine though, measuring 27wks... even though I am officially on LMP 26+3- it's that darn big head!

Glad to hear none of you have suffered too much with the floods. My DS's sports day was cancelled today as despite it being lovely and sunny, the sports field was too boggy . He has his end of term school disco tonight though so that should be fun.

Really should think about packing some stuff for holiday... DD has already packed her clothes and about 9 small bags of toys. Think I might have to redo some of it without her noticing .

Will pop on tommorrow before I go away to check on you all, and in particular Firsty and Babymad .

hello all! popping on quickly whilst at work.

i was half expecting their to be some news from you firsty or babymad. i hope you go into labour on the same day, and i hope it is soon (and during the night for you babymad!)

hope you have a fab holiday honeyapple. i always repack their bags too! not sure why i let them do it in the first place really cos it just makes ore work for me! i hope you get to relax on hol, where are you going again? i have asked you a million times i am sure, but all i can remember is that it ISN'T croatia!!!

fettle - look on the bright side, at least if you do have to have an early c-section again you will get your baby sooner and have 4 wks less of feeling uncomfortable. how would an early section fit in with your moving plans and your dds new nursery? would they really have to do it 4 wks early again? when will you get the results of your bloods to find out? hopefully the measuring thing is just cos baby is lying differently this wk. my midwife got it wrong didnt she? so hopefully your consultant has it wrong too..............its all stuff you just DON'T need to have hanging over you isn't it? especially when your job is as stressful as yours is.

well, i have come home from my mums today to go to work, and OBVIOUSLY i had to come in and check what the builders were up to!!!.......................OMG!!!!!!!!! we have no wall in our bedroom and neither does dd! i am sure my parents think we are only staying with them for a few days, but i think it could turn out to be a bit longer!!!...........i havent seen the builder who fell through the floor again yet, and i dont want to ask about him cos EVERY conversation with any of the other builders takes about 45 mins (they talk more than my mum!!!) and i can't be arsed with that!!!!

chooster and bodders - it is hard to juggle 2 of them sometimes isn't it? i notice that pinkb hasn't exactly been posting regularly since having no. 3!!!! (mind you she wasn't as regular as you two beforehand!)

i started a name thread the other day on here and most of my names got completely slated!!!! i need to have another rethink!!!! HELP!!!!! .............Raya really IS a bit horrible isn't it?.......sounds like we wanted a boy called 'Ray' and ended up with a girl...........a bit like waynetta! should we go for Seren???

i keep forgetting i am pg at the moment......is that weird?

fettle - i am extrememly jealous of you fitting into your normal clothes still......................my bump is HUGE!!!!! i am expecting stretchmarks to spring up any minute cos i do feel like a saussage who is about to burst!...............still got over 9 wks to go too!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 24/07/2007 15:46

Thank god I'm not on my own with the gushing boobs. Yes I agree with HB but some how I dont fancy a 5 yr old and almost 8 yr old being my "man-wives" LOL, even tho I think my 5 yr old will 100% love that, as he sat down and told me how babies were made and where they come out!

firsty - just think, even if you go over you date, you will still have you baby within the next couple fo weeks and when you have waited 40wks already, its not much longer is it! gushy boobs hey!!!! cool!!!

seaside - just remembered what i wanted to say to you..................i HATE it when people say "oh, you have all this to come" or "it will be your turn soon!" we have some friends who had their first a few months before us, and their second a few months before us............and that was all we ever heard!!!!!!.................it drove me MAD!!!!!!!!!!........at least they aren't having another one and if they EVER do i can turn around to them and say "oh, you wait till you have your third one......you wont be able to do this or that...........you've got it all to come"

they were wrong about most things anyway! they told us we would never sleep again ( cos their kids are nightmare sleepers) but that is bollocks obviously! and they told us potty training was HORRIFIC and we would ened up with wee and poo all over the house ( which again is bollocks, their kids were just a nightmare at that too!!!).............................SORRY! can you tell that is a pet hate of mine people saying that!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 24/07/2007 15:54

yes, what are you doing with your kids when labour starts babymad?!!

If I go into labour at night MW they will be in bed so not a prob, but during the day MIL said she will have them either look after them here or if thats not working out she'll take them to hers, but both DH and MIL are 20 mins away so if labour starts in the day while DH is at work I'll have my 2DS around me while in labour, not looking forward to that bit!
