BabyMadwithBump on Thu 24-May-07 14:57:52
I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!

Chooster on Thu 24-May-07 15:08:03

firststar on Thu 24-May-07 15:47:32
Hi ladies
first of all let me get business out of the way....predictions...for me a boy 7lb 2oz (going against all my big baby comments) 22nd July (early I think) , upping the weight prediction of mine to 8lb 6oz.

predictions - arghh - I have no idea - if we get there I am sure I will be late - 24 January is my prediction

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry girls needed to get that out of my system - totally on my own today with my 6 newbies!! All either wanting attention, or sitting doing nothing, doing my head in, as I'm rushed off my feet!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we have a vote on whether I should take a sickie tomorrow?!!!

I vote "YES" - never done in my life before, but I'm nearly 30 weeks pg, surely I'm allowed some me time!!!!!

Love and hugs to all!!!

I want a new baby to smell and cuddle! Hey - greedy let's have ours early, but maybe not next week, if your house isn't liveable in!!! [I'll miss you!]

xxx

KitKat30 · 17/07/2007 16:20

Definitely have a sickie!!! You've earned it!!!

2.5 weeks to go Greedy... can't come round soon enough

fettleandminifettle · 17/07/2007 16:22

Hey Greeds - your DD is a giant isn't she - I thought mine was tall at 107 cm for 3.3! She's in 5-6 year old dresses now, as everything else shows her knickers! She's on the 99thCentile, so you're little one must be well over that!

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:25

Hi!

yup Greedy you got me! Couldnt resist a bit of BF talk! However I think they are all ignoring me on the October thread . I think I should become a BF advisor or summit, a post-natal doula ... I guess it just irritates me when women say they think BF is like going to be the most impossible horrendous thing ever... so what did happen to babies pre-formula milk? I know that foundlings in victorian times were given flour and water paste... and most of them died strangely until they started using wet nurses. What about babies in rainforests?

I need to look at the due list... cant keep up with who is next to pop .

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:27

Ooh! Firsty, babymad and conkertree... all due when I am on holiday (go on 25th), quick get them out now... or wait till I get back.

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:28

my 'LO' has been off the top of the charts since was about 6 months! she is huge!!! your dd is the same size as my ds! i am waiting for my dd to overtake my ds!!! but i worked it out (how sad am i!!???) that she wont overtake him till she is about 3 1/2 if they both carry on as they are!!(he is 91st centile!!)

i dont mind having this lo early fettle!!! i will stay at my mums houuse if ours isn't ready!!! shall we wait a few more weeks though!!!???

OH! and DEFINATELY take a sickie tomorrow! i took one once just cos i had a HUGE spot on my nose!!!!!!...i was only 19 and obviously VERY vain.................but i think if i took one for THAT you definatley deserve one!!!!! then you can come to see shrek and then go out for dinner with me, my dh, ds and dd tomorrow! my treat!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:29

i meant my dd had been off the charts not my lo! DOH!

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:31

On my last scan with this LO, was told his head was 95th percentile... I mean that is not a good look or good for a mummy's poonani.

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:32

flour and water honey......YUK!!!! i feel like they ignore me on that thread too! keep saying i am going to give up posting on there, but i dont want to miss out on all the congrats when i pop!!!!! how sad is that!!!??? whered are you going on your hols then?

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:33

big head hey? OUCH!!!

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:36

Greedy- re that October thread... I quite like just popping in every now and then and adding my 2pence and then buggering off again. Cant really be arsed to get into the conversations. I just replied to you on that thread though...

Oh and about that person mozhe or whatever... I think she is a loon. There are a few out there. Is she the radical feminist one?

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:40

Ooh forgot to mention... having a bath last night, washing my boobs, and had a little squeeze and very exciting... some yellowy colostrum came out! Is everyone as excited as me??????!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:46

so they definately ARE custard creams then honey!!!!!

mine have started leaking too....but only if i squeeze!!!!

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:48

Yup I was squeezing! But then had to stop myself as got paranoid about too early nipple stimulation!

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:52

glad i'm not the only one who squeezes my nips!!!!!! i have been squeezing since about 12 wks cos that is when i started producing colostrum last time!!! so this time i have been on the look out for it!!!

one of my friends who is 24 wks wakes up in big wet patches cos hers leak so much!!!!!! poor thing!!

MrsMcJnr · 17/07/2007 16:57

PMSL at you lot - been squeezing though

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:58

and i bet you have just been squeezing for fun too haven't you Mrs!!!

Ready · 17/07/2007 18:52

Just wanted to pop in and say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on the births... I hoped that I would have graduated here before, but it wasn't to be. I do feel like I don't belong - but I hope you don't mind me popping in. I am thrilled for you all. How wonderful, and exciting! All the very best

Chooster · 17/07/2007 19:15

Thanks for the congratulations Ready - And please dont say you dont belong!! I dont really belong here anymore but this lot are top girls!!

Like you on the Oct thread, I've never really got to into the July one, although we are at that interesting stage. I keep thinking I should post my news on there but everytime I'm on the PC I come and see what my TTC grad pals are up to first .

Wow, Fettle and Greedy - you've got some tall LO's there!! My DS is only just over the 100cm at 3, bless him.

I wouldn't worry about the nose thing MrsMc - I thought DS2 had a big hooter on the scans and although it is more pronounced that DS1's its not too big if you know what I mean.

Definately go for the sickie Fettle!!!! You deserve it - Gets a 'yes' vote here.

Sorry to hear about your worries kitkat. Hopefully the next 2 weeks of so will be as stress free as possible. Like you say do what you can and no more .

Anyway, best be off and see my little guy
x

fettleandminifettle · 17/07/2007 19:32

Hi all!!

I love you all - my day didn't really get any better, despite my scream at you guys (sorry!!), but you've had me PMSL about squeezing nipples. Can't say i've done that much of it recently!

Agree with you bout the OCt thread, that's why I gave up - I also felt ignored on there, so then just though, pah why bother!

Well, my DD has announced she's wearing knickers to bed (in fact she's been doing it for past 2 evenings, but we've put her off, but tonight we're going for it!!). She decided to potty-train herself during the day, so maybe she knows best . Have to say we've only had a dry night nappy about twice in a year, so I'm expecting lots of washing, but you can't hold them back if they want to go for it! Really bad timing though - we move in 4 weeks, new school in 6 weeks and new brother in 10 weeks! All things which can cause regression, but she's bringing it on herself!

Anyway, Greeds - your invite sounds great - bit far to come though - got my blood tests in the morning. Think i'll have to go in tomorrow actually, but only as DD has French at nursery and she loves it and it will be probably her last as terms ends this week (I think!).

Ready - you are one of us, so don't ever feel you don't belong. I miss you!

Funny what you're all saying about 2nd children and hard times breast-feeding, my friend has had exactly the same thing with her little dD this time around too. They even tried to re-admit them, as her DD had lost more than 10% of body weight in the first week.

I wouldn't worry about the nose, MrsMc - you'll love you're baby whatever he/she looks like. I've never heard the term fugly though, I have to say, Honey.

Kitkat, really sorry to hear you've had a stressful day - at least they've found nothing wrong as such, but you need to keep an eye on yourself and that BP. 2.5 weeks to mat leave, will go quickly, but don't do too much (she says, knowing she's going to ignore her own advice!!).

Not sure what else I've missed - I'm going to get a glass of wine and settle down to some rubbish telly!

take care all
xxx

Bodkin · 17/07/2007 20:23

Hello nip-squeezers! yay for 2 handed typing! Both DDs in bed (but for how long....)

Firstly, I need to say sorry to Firsty for completely ignoring you in my last post. I only realised later, but have not had a chance to get back on the pc til now. Hope you're not feeling too glum about being the last one of the 3 of us to pop. Not long now......

Kitkat, sorry to hear about the BP, good excuse to get your feet up though,...

Fettle - what a day! Hope that glass of wine is doing the trick. Now where did I put mine.... Its nice being able to have a couple of glasses of an evening now

Ready Lovely to see you, of course you belong here, you are not forgotton... how are you doing?

Honeyapple - OUCH at your big-headed baby! Mind you, with DD1 they said her head was very small, and actually it was completely normal (but I'd spent a day or two panicking aobut having a pin-headed child), so they might have it all wrong!

Isla had her finest moment so far today. Decided to give her her first bath, so got her undressed and gave her to DP to hold while I filled the bath up. She did the most fabulously lurid yellow shit all down his shirt and jeans DD1 thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen....

How are the knockers Chooster? back down yet or still inflated?

Bodkin · 17/07/2007 20:25

Oh, and Fettle, start practising your "poorly voice" now for tomorrow's phone call

Chooster · 17/07/2007 22:07

Still massively inflated bodders - Theo has been feeding really well most of the evening and most of it from the same side so I now I look a bit wonky . Its all going good. Both DS's are in bed as well here but like you say - for how long!! Got to say DS2 has been a star with feeding and then sleeping really well. Lets see how long it continues - Actually I dont mind either way. I am SO SO much more relaxed with DS2 than i was with DS1. I dont think DS1 was any harder but I just didn't have a clue really.

Hope you stick around Ready! Its nice to hear from you. Please let us know how you are getting on.

Good on DD Fettle for asking to wear knickers. I hope she manages well. DS1 was nappy free at night for a while but then after getting a little poorly things regressed a bit so I popped him back in nappies. They are nearly always dry though so I'm considering trying again, maybe once things have settled a bit.

Hi to everyone else! Hope you are having a good evening

Morning!

Hi Ready . I had a look at the temp thread the other day, seems like a lot of new tempers there, hope the thread is still as supportive as it was when I was on it. Fingers crossed you will be graduating soon.

Bodkin- baby poo don't half stain .

Chooster- good to hear you are feeling nice and relaxed with DS2

Firsty- Any twinges? I wonder if you will start with waters breaking like the other 2 july girls.

Havent squeezed my nips today BTW.

Fettle- fugly is a bit rude... short for F**king ugly...

Mrs- re big noses. My newphew had a massive hooter as a newborn, but now has a regular small cute nose. I think noses often look out of proportion on tiny babies, dont worry!
