PREDICTIONS

BabyMadwithBump on Thu 24-May-07 14:57:52
I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!

Chooster on Thu 24-May-07 15:08:03
Oh, predictions!!!!
For me, I reckon boy (guess that's in the bag), 23rd July, 8lbs 2oz

MrsMcJnr on Thu 24-May-07 15:22:29
I'll be brave and have faith and predict for me:
Boy, 6lbs 10oz, 13/1 (11/07/07 I?ve changed my mind about my bean ? think it?s a she)

KitKat30 on Thu 24-May-07 15:26:29
Ooooh predictions... I reckon for me:

7lbs 12oz

firststar on Thu 24-May-07 15:47:32
Hi ladies
first of all let me get business out of the way....predictions...for me a boy 7lb 2oz (going against all my big baby comments) 22nd July (early I think) , upping the weight prediction of mine to 8lb 6oz.

seaside72 on Thu 24-May-07 16:18:25
predictions - arghh - I have no idea - if we get there I am sure I will be late - 24 January is my prediction
weight ??
sex - would be lying if I did not say girl - but thats more about preconceptions and imagining rather than what I actually feel - Chinese cal says girl but realstically I think prob boy - my DH is convinced it's a boy already!

honeyapple on Fri 25-May-07 08:29:20
I predict to be late... as was VERRY late with DD... also predict baby to be a bit bigger... 7 lb 10 maybe?
How about 31/10/07 7.10 girl (changed to BOY 12/07/07)

MrsMcJnr · 21/09/2007 16:27

Ahhhh blood, needles, pain ahhhhhhh - lalalala not listening!

Bodkin · 21/09/2007 16:30

Oh Fettle - poor you, but poor DH! That scenario sounds like something out of a Carry On film! Was Hattie Jacques your MW by any chance?

It does sound a pretty horific thing to watch though - I always look the other way with needles, even though I am pretty cool about them!

Chooster · 21/09/2007 19:28

Great to hear from you fettle!!!! Been wanting to get on MN all day but DS1 has had a stomach upset so I've two poo-ing / puking boys today (theo's just normal 10 week old behaviour - hope he doesn't get Max's bug?).... You sound positively chilled and very super-woman like . I did smile at the story of DH fainting (sorry mr fettle if you reading this on the sly ). But not at the bit about leaking blood.... Eeuuugh, not nice. I bet you are so relieved its all done (sorry greeds and honeyapple) and you've got litle toby there. I seem to remember my milk came in on day 3 too, so you'll be starting to inflate VERY soon . Hope tonight is a better one!

DH excelled himself after DS1 birth and got me an eternity ring , so much so that he obviously didn't know what to do this time, so did er...., nothing . I dont mind really, just being cheeky... You never know Greeds, you may get something, or DH may say "You see that plastered wall love, thats to say well done on DD2's birth"

Anyway, better go, DS1 just got out of bed....

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/09/2007 08:26

morning all! well, about midnight last night i thought i was in labour again!!! must be a friday night thing, cos last fri thought i was too!!!

we had a dinner party last night with some friends we made from NCT classes first time round and were discussing lots of gruesome things! needless to say we are the only ones on no. 3 and they all think we are MAD going through it all again! (mind you, their kids are nowhere near as cute as ours so they would say that!!!!!!...biased? me? NEVER!).............anyway, we were discussing the mechanics of a DIY sweep or getting my DH to do it for me! what do you think??? bit grim i know!!! dh said " surely having sex does the same thing" but unless he has learnt how to rotate his willy clockwise and then anticlockwise i think a sweep would be more effective!!

how did ickle toby sleep? and ALL the other millions of babies on this thread now!!! can't believe how many babies there are on here now!!!

brooke
isla
theo
joe
ty
connie
toby

and so many more still to come!!!! yippee!!!

chooster - i am suprised your dh didnt buy you a cake or a biscuit to say congrats this time!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/09/2007 08:28

chooster - sorry to hear about your pukey/pooey boys...there is nothing worse than tummy bugs..........i really hope they get better soon, at least they are normally quite short lived.

fettleandminifettle · 22/09/2007 09:44

Tuesday Greedy, that was the date we chose I think, or it might have been Sunday, so not long to go now - sorry i jumped the queue!!

Chooster- PMSL at Greedy's DH and wall plastering! think you could be right!! But i too am surprised that you didnt' get a big cookie on the birth of Theo!! [I did get a big bag of Milky Bar buttons from my mummy when I came home - she'd hidden them under the duvet when she put clean sheets on my bed for when we came home from hospital!]

Bodders - don't think it was Hattie Jacques, but I was laughing my head off, but could have been exagerated by the gas & air!!. DH thinks you are all being very nice to him and yes he is still reading the thread on the sly, but at least he is admitting to it! I'll stop him eventually - talk of periods etc and sanitory towels (knicker stickers as DD has named them in the fettle house!!), will put him off pretty quickly!

Dolly Parton ain't got nothing on me this morning and I think there is still more to come!! Whoopy-do!! They are mahooosive!!!!

Better night last night, but still not great, but what do you expect with a 2 days old baby, I suppose. I was still in hospital at this stage with DD, so DH was getting lots of sleep at night and being very supportive during the day, while I rested. Now we are both knackered and he is still being very supportive, but in a tired way!

Got the PILs coming this morning, so better go and get showered and dressed while little Toby sleeps - why he sleeps now and not during the night?! When will he learn to talk and explain this all to me?

Oh-oh-oh - had my first unexplained outburst of day 3 tears this morning - had forgotten about that joy!! all over the fact that DH hadn't cooked breakfast!!

I miss my bump by the way - I keep wanting to feel it move - strange isn't it. Been desperate to get him out, but now I miss the secret relationship we had with eachother when he was inside me. But he is gorgeous - I promise I will try and post some pictures later.

Babymad - lovely to hear from you. Hope little Connie settles down soon.

Mrs - how is the house sale going? Any joy with the Church people? When do you go to Spain again - it is soon isn't it?

take care all
xxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/09/2007 22:05

fettle - yes, tuesday it is for me!!!! thats what i am still aiming for anyway!!! forgot to comment on your dh fainting!!! i did PMSL when i read it though!!! think it is just as well you had some gas and air or you might have found it annoying rather than funny.
how can you be missing your bump?!!! are you mad!!??? you can bend in the middle again!!!! i still can't!! how is your spd? has it gone as quickly as it did last time? hope so.
oh yes..........the baby blues!!! i look forward to them! hows your undercarriage?

did you see that mumpbump had her baby? she is on the due in oct thread and dont you know her form the pg after mc thread?

sorry, that was a post entirely for fettle, but then she was the only other weekend poster!!!

t'ra!

fettleandminifettle · 23/09/2007 10:57

thanks for letting me know - justr posted for her.

Tired today - stiull not getting great nights. Had to take toby to hosp yest eve as hadn't really woken all day, looked quite jaundiced and had really bad eye infection. So on eye drops now and eye already looking better. Still yello but not worse and was awake often at night so obviously just nocturnal!!! Asleep on me now hence the typing issues!!!!

You're right greeds, I can bend, I can shave my own legs, paint my own toe nails, getr in and out of the bath on my own!!!! Still wobble though - how you do it bodders??!!!!

spd still pretty sore turning over at night but wondered whether it might be my stitches stretching as it is a burning sensation - never had stitches before so don't know what to expect!!

Hope everyone else is on good form?

Get some rest greedy, not long to go now!!!

Take care all

MrsMcJnr · 23/09/2007 15:48

Hey ladies so excited ? we?ve just bought our buggy!! after weeks and weeks of deliberation and homework and leg work and hunting on the internet ? we have finally decided In the end we decided not to compromise and go for what we really wanted and so with a big breath (and feeling slightly sick about the price), we ordered our bugaboo cameleon plus but then, we found that it we ordered the foot muff and car seat adaptors we?d get the maxi cosi car seat free which is a great bonus and even better DPIL want to pay half . It feels so real and massive and a bit scary ordering the buggy but we were told that time would become and issue soon as there is am 8 week lead time at the mo. DH is so excited!!

Hey Bodkin

Chooster ? sorry to hear that Max wasn?t well hope he?s feeling better. No present for DS2?! Not even flowers!!! DH has only bought me flowers once! Remind me again, what is the name of the hammock you have? Now that the buggy is sorted (yeah, yeah, yeah!) we can now start thinking about the beds. By the way, we did look at the Icandies on Sat ? the Cherry is a really big hit for those without stairs who like nipping here there and everywhere we were told and I thought ? yup ? the right buggy for Chooster!

Greedy ? PMSL at the vision of DH trying the DIY sweep and the rotations! all the names of our thread babies are so cute and unusual aren?t they? (MUST write to Boden, must write to Boden?) ohhh must check out Mumpbump?s news!

Fettle ? hey supermummy! should think my Mum will buy me some slim fast when I have this baby! Grrrr. She sounded shocked on the phone that I am having to wear DH?s jackets ? bloody hell, besides a bump my boobs have jumped from 32E to 36G what does she expect!! Psyching myself up for many comments from her next week! Bet DH stops reading now we are chatting about DIY sweeps!! Nice that he?s interested though ? my DH still thinks you are probably all bored lorry drivers. Knicker stickers fabulous!!! Thanks for sharing all your experiences and thoughts I hope the nights get easier now Dolly has arrived (big boy like Toby must have tummy capacity to last a few hours ) I think I?d miss my bump too ? DH was laughing at me this morning as I whooshed water over my bump in the bath because it makes Beanie kick! Sorry to hear about the worries last night hope Toby is much better today

The church people (another 6!) came round on Sat morning, They seemed to like it which is good. We?ve had to set a closing date for offers on 2/10 (when we are away) as the other couple we getting anxious so let?s hope the church can get their act together in time and we get two good offers to consider on 2/10. It?ll be such a relief to get the house sold and start making the next level of plans ? hope it works out that way! We go to Spain on Friday for 8 days can?t wait for warmer weather and late starts!

I know I am being really silly (and ungrateful after the generous payment towards the buggy) but my MIL said the most stupid thing yesterday and made me so cross she is fretting about the holiday they have booked for a fortnight on 9/11 in case the baby comes early ? well if it comes 10 bloody weeks early we are all in trouble and they might as well be on holiday ? I know she didn?t mean it but I couldn?t help thinking that I have enough to worry about without her adding stupid scenarios like that grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! And breathe?. Thanks for listening!

MrsMcJnr · 23/09/2007 16:22

Fettle/Greedy - can't believe Mumpbump had her baby in the ambulance in the hospital car park!!

fettleandbabyfettle · 23/09/2007 20:37

Managed to post one photo - others didn't work - will try again tomorrow.

congrats on the pram choice mrs - can't wait to get out and about with mine, hopefully tomorrow if the weather is ok, I'll brave the outside world!!

Take care all

Bodkin · 23/09/2007 20:37

Hi all!

Right, I am now officially calling sanitary towels "knicker stickers" too That is absolutely genius! Bless your DD! How is she getting on with all the changes? Sorry to hear about the jaundice and gummy eye - hope it passes soon. Daylight is supposed to be good for clearing jaundice (I seem to recall from DD1 we put the moses basket under the skylight for the first few days to clear hers - DD2 didn't suffer at all) Hope Toby sorts out day from night soon, it's a pain isn't it when they refuse to sleep at night. I was mooching around on MN at some very odd ours during the first few weeks that Isla was here. Hope your boobs aren't suffering too much - i read a great quote on here the other week - "one day your boob is bigger than your baby's head, and before you know it, your baby's head is bigger than your boob" I am a little sad to say that Isla's head is now definitely bigger than my boob (not that she has a big head, just that my boobs are pretty scrawny!)

Mrsmc - glad you went with the pram you really wanted - I meant to post to agree with what Fettle said (but didn't get time) about this being a much wanted and longed for baby so why not get the best if you can afford it what colour are you getting? I've found the instructions for my Frog now, so might find out where I've been going wrong!

Greedy - all these practice contractions - one cough and that baby will be out!

Chooster - sorry to hear DS1 has a bug. Hope he's recovered now - no fun having sick kids and small babies is it! Spotted another patch of impetigo on Nelly yesterday (grrrrr) but it was really tiny and i've been daubing the cream on it religiously, so hope I've nipped it in the bud. It's obviously doing the rounds down here. More washing again

Oh, Isla's up again. wonder what she wants? booby snack probably...

greedygreedyguzzler · 23/09/2007 21:27

fetle - what an adorable picture!!! i cant believe i will have one of them in pink soon!! really sorry to hear you had worries about him last night.........it is so scarey when they are so tiny and helpless isn't it? and they cant tell you whats wrong....why dont they come out talking hey?

mrs - fab news about your pram! glad you are so pleased and excited about it!! dont think i have ever been one to get especially ecited about prams but the baby clothes...................thats a different mafetle - what an adorable picture!!! i cant believe i will have one of them in pink soon!! really sorry to hear you had worries about him last night.........it is so scarey when they are so tiny and helpless isn't it? and they cant tell you whats wrong....why dont they come out talking hey?

mrs - fab news about your pram! glad you are so pleased and excited about it!! dont think i have ever been one to get especially ecited about prams but the baby clothes...................thats a different matter!!!.........i could spend hours folding and refolding them!!!

bodders - love your boob quotes!!! and dont say one cough and it will be out, cos i have (and so does ds and dd) a horrible cough/ cold at the moment and all i can do is cough which is agony!!! every single cough hurts my bump and i feel like baby is going to pop out!!

i am still set for tuesday morning to have this baby......about 10 am my labour is going to start!!!!! and finish about 1pm!!! might show dh how to use MN to keep anyone who is interested posted!!! worried he might become like mr. fettle and carry on reading afterwards though !!!tter!!!.........i could spend hours folding and refolding them!!!

off to check the due in oct thread now to see how many more annoying women have popped early!!!! (you dont count fettle!!!)

greedygreedyguzzler · 23/09/2007 21:28

shit! sorry about that!!!! hope you could make some sense of it!!!

Bodkin · 23/09/2007 21:37

Greedy - are you on mind altering drugs and as for "might show dh how to use MN to keep anyone who is interested posted" There is no "might" about it i'm afraid - we demand to be kept informed!

Fettle - I didn't realise I had crossed with you. Gorgeous picture - what a cutie, and looks so peaceful (although I'm sure he has his moments )

seaside72 · 23/09/2007 23:52

WARNING - mammoth overdue catch up post alert - feel free to skim

Thank you sooo much everyone for the answers/help with my questions! As usual the best advise ? I went straight on NCT website and got signed up (last remaining place ? phew!) asap ? course starts in Nov for 5 weeks. Unfortunately it is going to be a 50 mile round rip every Thursday night ? but nevermind ? that?s the price you pay for living in the sticks! Now I feel more relaxed about the NHS ones now ? if they happen great if not ? no probs. My sleeping issue is still annoying ? I am about to order some new pillows ? a body long bolster pillow and a v-shaped one too ? hopefully I can fashion some kind of support! I just keep waking up really uncomfortable on my LHS but having no other position as an alternative ? grrr ? 4.30am seems to be my witching hour also ? at least twice a week I am wide awake at that time for at least 1.5 hours. I am sure it is junior giving me some practice! I still feel fine on my back but I guess it is a no-no so will avoid (is it OK if slightly propped up though? )

Talking of which jnr is kicking away with some force now! I keep apologising to him everytime I bend over or twist wrongly! I just keep forgetting there are movements that are becoming no-no?s now!

Bodkin ? Loving fettle?s DD?s ?knicker stickers? also I am getting very scared of piles ? do they just appear with no warning??! How is Isla getting on? LOL about your DP not knowing about us all on here ? I sometimes start talking about you all to my Dh and then realise I have to fill him in! But I told him this week he will have to keep you posted in Jan!

MrsMc ? Well done on Bugaboo purchase!! I am sure we are going that way too ? I know all the experienced ones will despair of us but I guess we get to indulge all those idealistic fantasies first time around!! What colour did you get ? fleece or the other stuff! I fancy the sand and chocolate brown combo So tell me the low down on where you bought and got the maxi cosi deal?? I am panicking now you have mentioned the lead time! Good news on the house hopefully Will keep fingers crossed for the 2nd! Can?t believe you are off to Spain on Friday ? that has come around so quick! We have just booked our final fling holiday ? so excited!! We leave on Oct 8th and are going by train all the way to Rome via Paris, my parents home (in South of France) and the Ligurian coast of Italy ? then 2 nights in Rome and flying back from there. DH and I love our journeys!! Don?t take MIL comments to heart hon ?I think parentals just think out loud and speak before thinking!! My MIL is totally disinterested don?t think she will send/give us anything! Luckily my parents will make up the balance I think!

fettle ? So sorry Toby is under the weather I hope the eye and jaundice are improving. But - yippee a picture!! OMG he is gorgeous - It makes me so excited seeing him and thinking that we will have one of those too soon!! Loved the vision of your DH fainting on your belly! I have a feeling mine may be the same ? he did watch me having a stitch in my eye back in May although I am sure he looked away during the gory bit! So finally the jugs are filled ? do we call you dollyfettle from now on . I think IKWYM about missing the bump ? 3 people have said tha to me now (that they missed it!) and given the amount of time I spend every day rubbing it and touching it I am sure I will feel the same! I am so of your eternity ring ? I am desperate for a Georg Jensen Fusion ring and keep dropping hints to DH. But would ultimately love a Tiffany eternity ring ? ahh dreams!!!

Iampg - I love the Stokke buggy too ? and all the benefits really make sense (baby being higher up etc) I am just not sure I am bold enough to go for it as it so wacky (and the shopping basket bit seems quite small and impractical! ? esp as I think that must be half the benefit of pushing a buggy ? not having to carry bags anymore!) I am sold on the stokke sleepi cot though as we can wheel between our room and nursery whenever we want and it grows with baby etc. So sorry about your rubbish holiday ? what a nightmare ? I hope you get some compensation BTW how are all the renovations going? We are just about to be slung back into dust and builders the week after next ? I am so excited to make the nursery but wish I could just close my eyes and have it all done!

greedy ? LOL about your DH and his diy sweep! I think Tuesday sounds good ? fingers crossed! Can't believe how quickly these bubs are all popping out and we are accumulating quite a list of new additions!!

Firststar ? Hope the bleeding has subsided hon How is it all going with Ty? Aren?t you moving this weekend or maybe it is next weekend? Are you moving far?

Rainbowdays ? I have stayed away from the AN threads ? just felt a bit uneasy and KWYM about the bad news and losses. Now I do not think I could join in as there are so many people on it and I cant keep up! (MrsMc is brilliant at keeping up with everyone!) When is your next scan?

Babymad ? Hope Connie (and you!) are sleeping a bit more - fingers crossed and that you are giving those demons the Buffy treatment xx

Chooster ? Hope Max is feeling better and that Theo did not succumb Another eternity ring to be jealous of!! Mind you I think you need something this time too

honeyapple ? anymore imminent labour activity!! You are all popping thick and fast now ? it is scary but exciting! How is the pelvic pain? Not getting worse I hope xx

KitKat ? ROFL after your arm up bum recollection ? visions of ?All Creatures Great and Small? sprang to mind!! I am dreading the poo scenario? but I have a feeling I will not be that bothered at the time as will prob be a bit preoccupied! Bugaboo Bee looks really cool ? but like MrsMc says I think it is not for newborns ? I have a horrid feeling I am going to become a pram addict like babymad!!

Not sure if I bored you all with the details of our FMC scan but it was brilliant ? jnr was in a rubbish position ? head way down and not being very active (compared to the NHS one) but the quality of the equipment is so much better and we got 40 mins of clear scan and good information re blood flow etc - all nicely explained + a cool 3D pic which was a bit blurry but fascinating. He was smooshed right up against my placenta (looked like he was sucking it !!) Anyway all the results were good (although interestingly there were some quite big diffs on the measurements from the NHS one 3 days previously?) I am now paranoid that he is going to have my overbite from some of the pics (which years and £££ of orthodentistry eventualy fixed!!) have told DH we need to start saving for braces!! Anyway ? it was indulgent but worth it for fascination purposes and reassurance.

Have finally started buying a few little things (and also go down my stashed box of goodies I have been secreting away for years - just little things, books and toys that were mine etc)- But I focusing on holiday first then back at the end of Oct when I have an appointment with a company who can let you try all the stuff in peace (not in a shop) and the make a list and they will order it all for you and have it delivered when you want. So for now I am just doing all the onlne research and spreadsheets for costs etc.

Other than that work is chaotic but good - we are going way over budget on our development (as ever!) and it looks like we will be broke until after baby comes so get out the old credit cards for the holiday! Oh well thats the life of a self employed person - feats or famine! Still waiting for my Mat B1 or whatever it is called - must chase this week - hopefully will get some maternity allowance?

Right - enough already- I have been writing this on and off for hours!! when I was supposed to be doing my tax return spreadsheet - oops- you are prob all bored stupid and haven't even gotten this far!! I hope I have not missed anyone off or remembered wrong info oh well!

greedy might even be in labour by now!!

fettleandbabyfettle · 24/09/2007 08:54

Morning girls - zombie fettle here!!!

Waiting for Mum to get home from dropping DD at school so I can have my shower and bath before MW comes (an annoying anytime between 9am and 5 pm appointment [grr]).

Anyway, how would I ever have coped without Mum's help over the last few days (and how am I ever going to get out of the house by 8.20am when I'm on my own again - but that's not for another 2 weeks. Mum's here til the weekend, then DH is off work the following week again.).

Official statistics on Dolly - gone up to at least 38 GG/H, and they weigh well over 9lbs!!!! Not sure they will ever be smaller than Toby's head, and he has a massive head!! Maybe I should get the tape measure out and measure the circumference!!!

Still in love with my nocturnal baby, but at least he is waking for feeds, so the jaundice must be passing. Eye looks perfect again even after only a couple of doses of drops - but we'll keep going for a few more days. Don't want it spreading to the other eye, or to DD. We did have about 2 hours of proper eyes open awake time yesterday, which was lovely - hope for more today - more awake during the day, the more sleep at night - it has to work like that, No?

Mrs - hope you are still pleased with you pram purchase. I think you made the right one. Really wish we'd been more extravagant with DD, but I'm such a money-saver that it takes a lot for me to spend money, which does have it's down-side when you end up spending twice, as the cheaper option hasn't really worked for you. i've practised with our Quinny and although hard, I can clip the clip, which makes me happy was worried when I read that you had difficulties with it.

Seaside - great to hear from you. Glad all well with you and bump. Never tire of hearing about bumps and scans!!! I still miss mine remember!! Told DH yesterday that I was ready to go through it all again and he just said NO!!! He wished he'd taped me over the last few weeks as I moaned about how much I hate being pregnant, but it is so worth it!!!

Greedy - tomorrow still on, glad to hear it. You have to have this little one before Mrs goes on holiday!! Is the house finally finished now? Missing work?? How exciting, baby may well pop out now!! Poor you being ill though - DD had a massive vomit last night, but seems absolutely fine last night, but I was panicing about Toby getting it, as I don't think 4 days old and stomach bugs mix very well.

Honey - where are you? Hey maybe her false alarm has turned to more serious contractions! Hope all well.

Big wave to everyone else - Mum's just back so must get off.

take care
xxx

ps posted another picture of DD and Toby.

fettleandbabyfettle · 24/09/2007 08:59

Forgot to say that DD is loving being a big sister!! First thing she says every morning is where is Toby? He gets lots of kisses and gentle face strokes. I don't even get a look in anymore when she comes home from school, straight to Toby for kisses and none for me. And there was me worrying she was going to feel left out!!!

Hope it lasts!! She is also very helpful, going upstairs to get me nappies, blankets, muslins etc if I've left them up there.

But she is tired and playing up a bit, but that's only to be expected I think. On the whole, i think she's coped brilliantly.

Bodkin · 24/09/2007 10:12

Wow - great post Seaside! You must have blisters on your fingers now! Blimey - 50 mile round trip for the NCT classes? I'm sure you'll enjoy them though, and maybe meet some other nice mums local to you

Fettle - lovely pic of your gorgeous DCs! I still love talking about my "kids", "daughters" etc. in the plural - the novelty has not worn off yet! Glad to hear Toby is getting better and awake a bit more in the day. They all have their witching hours though - Isla's tended to be evenings, although she seems to have grown out of that now. That is some pair of knockers you have there! 9lbs!

Well, i have stupidly offered to do DPs accounts in a moment of madness, so better get cracking once I've got Isla down for a nap. She is lying in her babygym at the moment protesting gently that it might be time for something more interesting to happen!

Back later

Fettle Toby really is terribly cute ? I want to stroke his gorgeous little button nose I am excited about the buggy, aren?t I sad? I have a vision of a little face poking out of all that fleece (conceded to DH and agreed to a green foot muff as that is his football team?s colour!) do I still need pram sheets if I have a foot muff thingy? (looks more like a whole body muff to me!) wow! Those are some boobs!! Sorry I worried you about the clip ? I don?t feel that weak now I know you are wonder woman! so glad DD is as in love with Toby as the rest of you

Bodders LOL at the boob v baby head comparison! We decided to go for a sand base and an off white fabric for the rest. I know that sounds boring and if we were staying in Northern Europe we?d have gone for the bright colours but we thought those colours would be good in Spain and not fade too easily. As I said to Fettle ? we did get a green foot muff though hope your frog works better for you now you have the instructions I watched a delivery last night on Birth Day Girls and her delivery was 22 seconds ? the baby literally shot out! sorry to hear the impetigo?s back.

Greedy ? you ok hon? DH is so uninterested in the clothes! I love all the baby stuff! Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. All set for tomorrow?

My friend who was due on 17th had her baby last night a blue one so now she has one of each. All well and they didn?t nick any of our names only 3 more RL friends in the queue before me now!

Seaside lovely long post from you! that?s great that you got on the NCT course my sis was saying at the weekend that she think it made all the difference to her. I?d like one of those long pillows too ? I was told it was ok to be on your back so long as you are slightly propped up to the right or if you have quite a few pillows to raise the top of your body. make sure you order your bugaboo soon! I?m sure you?ll be reading through so will already know my colours now! I loved the sand/chocolate combo but agreed in the end to the off white as the brown might fade and be too hot in Spain. We bought it at an independent retailer called the Raeburn Pram Centre but we could have got the same deal at an independent in Glasgow too ? basically, we bought the bugaboo, the foot muff and the car seat adaptors and got the maxi cosi free ? total cost gulp, gulp, gulp £733 odd pounds!! we had to pay up front for the deal too. Your holiday sounds fab have a great time. I saw the Stokke buggy ? kind of cool the way the baby sits up so high ? fab for the tube etc I imagine! Still considering that Stokke cot, it might be a good solution for us. There are still lots of new people joining the AN thread you know and I think there are only 12 of us or so who post regularly. There was a meet up in London last week ? of course I couldn?t go, was very That scan sounds amazing ah that?s sweet about your goodies box most of the things I had (not many) are now Ava?s but there are a few things that I hadn?t ?allocated? to her. That company sounds interesting ? you?ll have to tell me how you get on. I did a comparison the other day for basics at John Lewis, Tesco and Boots, it was really interesting how the prices differed and how JL were actually cheaper for some things. DH and I are having to do 3 years worth of tax returns at the moment in relation to our BTL flat ? yawn!

Hey Rainbowdays

Hi all!

Nope havent gone into labour! Just had a busy weekend and no time to post.

Some impressive posts there... not sure I can match them... but,

Mrs- cor GULP GULP indeed on the cost of your buggy, but really pleased for you that you have bought what you really wanted. I hope it lives up to all your expectations... I can picture you already pushing your darling little LO with great pride and happiness.

Fettle Impressive boob stats . Good to hear Toby's eye has cleared up so quickly- for the future, I would recommend squirting some boob milk in his eyes if they get sticky again, it works brilliantly. Lovely piccies. I want my baby NOW!!

Greedy- tommorrow's the big day then?
As soon as I hit 37 wks I am going to hit the raspberry leaf tea, lavender oil baths, pineapple, and all the other old wives tales with great gusto.

Seaside- your holiday sounds cool. I love travelling. My pelvis/leg pains are still getting me down . Have decided to stop the yoga as I just don't think it's a good idea. Hope you get some good sleep with all your pillows.

Chooster- hope your boys are well soon. Poo and sick, lovely combo... poor you.

Sorry... I've run out of steam for the moment! Lots of love to everyone else. Back in a minute. x

Honeyapple still hanging in there hon! I know, it?s an awful price , I tell you, I am going to wear the thing out over many years and get every penny?s worth! Hope that pride and happiness will be over my LO and not the buggy we do plan to get it beforehand and thoroughly read the instructions so we get the best out of it (for the buggy that is ? I understand that the baby doesn?t come with any and hasn?t read any books either! ) That?s interesting about the boob milk curing eye infections! Sorry to hear that your pelvis and legs are sore and getting you down, how long now until 37 weeks for you?

Hey Firsty hope the move goes well hon. Hope you are not offline for too long!

Greedy ? no pressure hon, you know we are all gunning for you!

Last night we were at the real nappy chat at the hospital (basically, it is an environmental charity promoting the use of them so she was able to talk about all the different kinds and to warn us off some makes). The talk was held in the labour ward and as we walked past we sneaked a peak of some new borns we also heard them crying throughout the talk and I exchanged some excite glances with some of the other ladies one of them was having twins and paled significantly at the thought of 20 dirty nappies to change in a day when they are newborn! So, anyone have any thoughts on the use of and type of real nappies to use? I thought I?d stick with disposables for a couple of weeks until the tar poo stops and I?m in the swing of things and then try a lending pack to try the various types out and see how we get on.
