Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bodkin · 06/09/2007 10:05

Hi everyone.

Phew - DD1 is in pre-school today..... Hurray! Isla asleep... ahhh this is how I imagined it would be, not the constant chaos that has been the last 7 weeks of summer hols!

Greedy - your kids sound sooooo gorgeous - no wonder you want another! The age gap is not going to be that much for gawdsake! And anyway, there is 4 years between my sisters DS1 and my DD1 and they play brilliantly together - it's a really lovely age gap because he thinks she's adorable and cute and generally loves tickling her and making her giggle.

Fettle - glad to hear your DD has slotted in to her new school so quickly! My DD looked a bit shocked today to see that a lot of her friends weren't there (gone to Big School) but hope by the end of the day she's made friends with some of the new little ones that have started.

Seaside - sounds like you've been very busy indeed! I love Zara clothes, especially the kids stuff - but those Spanish kids must be so skinny! Every time I've bought something from there for DD I've had to take it back and get the next age up! The head holes in their t-shirts are so small!

Firsty - that sounds like hard work with your DSDs! Remind me how old are they again? Eventually they'll be old enough to babysit though and it will all be worthwhile Sorry to hear about your infection - that sounds like something you could do without - are the antibio's kicking in yet? We seem to get Isla to bed about 9ish but only every other night! On the other nights its 11! But still, that is much better than it was when it was 1am!

Baby waking - better go. Will be back in a bit xx

Bodkin · 06/09/2007 10:28

Hi MrsMc! PMSL at your make-up story! Your poor sis Bet those kicks feel fantastic. Thanks for posting on my thread yesterday. I was in tears when I heard about my friend possibly having to go through losing another baby so late on in the pregnancy. just as we were all breathing a sigh of relief that she was at 20 weeks I really don't know how she will cope if it happens again. Just keeping everything crossed for her. Can you all give your bumps a rub and a good luck wish for her xx

Chooster - I know just what you mean about not being able to imagine our babies looking any different now! I still get a shock when I look at her brown eyes though (All blue eyes in both families, apart from DP and his dad). She's been really trying out her voice the last few days - making some very sweet little aaaaah sounds and looking very pleased with herself! Also still making lots of WAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH sounds too though!

Anyone else been watching Skins? Is it wrong that I find Tony (17) rather attractive ...I am technically old enough to be his mother....

Hi to everyone else - Honeyapple, Iampg, Kitkat, Babymad and anyone else I've missed.

MrsMcJnr · 06/09/2007 11:41

Bodkin ? rubbing my bump for your friend Must be lovely to have a brown eyed baby like DP my Mum was so excited when her DD3 had brown eyes and black hair like my Dad after 2 fair, blue eyed ones

Bodkin · 06/09/2007 12:45

Thanks MrsMc.

Just done something very rash.... bought a new buggy! I'm giving babymad a run for her money now - have a Bugaboo, knackered old McClaren and now my new and shiny Cosatto Swift Lite. McClaren is off to be recylced at the dump (someone will need a knackered spare buggy surely ) and I've really not got on very well with the Bugaboo (its bloody huge... and Isla hates it!) So there we go. Should have done a bit more research first, but then thought, aah, feck it, lets get that one! It's a pretty grim colour combo (a bit boyish too) but it doesn't fall over when you but a teeny shopping bag on it (like the maclaren)

Any enough waffle. Better go and get DD1

fettleandminifettle · 06/09/2007 13:46

Hi all

Interesting what you say about the Bugaboo Bodders - we've fought getting a new pram - DH really wants one, I don't see what is wrong with our old one (which isn't really that old really!), but the bugaboos although they look really pretty also look quite cumbersome. Think we'll make do with what we've got.

So so horrible for your friend - rubbing my bump for her - even though I've had 2 mc, I just can't imagine the pain of losing a baby after 20 weeks (think that's why I was such a mess when diagnosed with OC with DD worrying so much about getting so far and then losing her).

Mrs - great that DH felt a kick -makes it so much more real for them I think. I so hope DD doesn't think her little brother needs a makeover! She seems so happy at the moment about the idea of baby coming, but I'm really not sure what she really thinks is going to happen - but then she's surprised me with how well she's settled into her new school, so maybe this baby will just fall in stride too!

OOOHHHHH - just had quite a strong BH and little fet is definitely trying to get out of my cervix as we speak - such a wierd, wierd sensation!!! Now I've officially, officially finished work, there is nothing to stop him coming, except we are still not entirely ready for him - but then DH could do a lot of stuff on his paternity leave!! Wierd to think that I'd had DD by this stage last time - wonder how long I'll go this time!!

Seaside - so great to hear from you. Glad all sounds to be going so well. Agree with comments re Zara clothes - beautiful, but the head holes are tiny tiny! Poor DD nearly had her head scraped off whenever we put a jumper on DH had got from there after a work trip to Spain. But I aim to be skinny enough very soon to fit into clothes from there (perhaps not children's clothes though!!!).

BTW - Ready was just asking after you this morning on the temp buddies graduates thread - I'm a bit worried about them all over there, the temp buddies thread doesn't seem as active as it used to. hopefully Rah and Ready will keep posting on the temp buddies graduates thread to keep in touch - so so want both of them to get their BFP - they so deserve them - they've been so patient, while we've all graduated away from them.

right, I must think of something to entertain DD this afternoon - what do you do, when you can't bend, run, walk and she's obviously a little bit tired and cheeky? Even sitting watching telly isn't calming her that much - might have to get the playdoh out!

take care all

oops - computer had a mini-crash there!!

also in case you're worried meant to say DH and have "thought" about a new pram, not "fought" - must be some Freudian slip as I felt we've discussed it enough!!!!.

MrsMcJnr · 06/09/2007 14:22

Bodders ? as you can imagine, your friends fears and the stage she is at feel pretty close to home, I so hope her LO is ok. Let me know how you get on with that buggy, that is my next task, find one that suits us I too have heard that about Bugaboos

Fettle ? sorry to hear about the temp buddies ? it is so hard keeping up the momentum of TTC isn?t it? I so hope good things happen for them soon.

I?ve just bumped into a pg friend whose baby was stillborn at 40+12 last year, she has been so brave going through another pregnancy so soon she?d being taken in on 19/10 but says she?s having sleepness nights worrying ? are we ever safe?!

honeyapple · 06/09/2007 19:32

Evening all

Havent posted for a few days- been rather pre-occupied with school starting and DD's first few mornings. She was a bit anxious yesterday when I left her, but today was much better- she had taken in a pineapple to share for snack time which made her feel good! The government provides fresh fruit and veg for reception classes- yesterday they had carrots which DD doesnt like- hence taking in the pineapple! Her teacher was very pleased, and said they rarely get anything other than carrots! Which is a bit rubbish... also potentially a bit expensive if DD wants to make a habit of taking in exotic fruit. Mangoes are another of her favorite. Dont think I will be providing mangoes for a class of 30 though too often.

Mrs- great to hear the scan went well. It is fascinating seeing all the organs/ limbs etc and the heart valves pumping.

Greedy- like the name Marcy.

Fettle- good to hear DD settling in well at new nursery.

iam and seaside- good to hear from you and your growing bumps.

Bodders and Chooster and Firsty- cant believe your babies are getting so old already... are any of you planning anymore... or is that like to silly to be thinking about?? Had sex yet?

I've been having really sore period pain like cramps today . Dunno what it is, always a bit worrying though... and some shooting pains down my legs

Right, got to put DD to bed, lots of love xx

fettleandminifettle · 06/09/2007 20:11

Hi Honey - been wondering how you are?

Glad DD has settled into school as well Honey - pineapple - good idea. I have to provide snack everyday (just enough for her),but then they all share everything out amongst them, so they all have a bit of eachothers - to teach them sharing! Everyone seems to provide bananas or apples! Yesterday, I gave 15 grapes (one for each of them!!!), but pineapple would be good - I could also eat the leftover to help with the old labour starting!!

Anyone had any experience of raspberry leaf tea by the way - any use/good taking it? 37 weeks on Saturday, so no real risk of a premature baby this time around!

I've also been having period pains today and shooting pains down my legs, but i think the latter is related to the sciatica type pain I get whenever I lie on either side at night.

Back off the hospital tomorrow for another check-up - been feeling a bit of fraud as the itching has pretty much subsided, but now I'm sitting here typing one-handed as I try frantically to itch my whole body!! So we'll see what tomorrow's blood test results say on Tuesday - just wish I knew one way or the other.

Nearly gave my poor best friend a heart attack this afternoon - I rang her to arrange a get together tomorrow afternoon, but as soon as I said hello, she immediately said - you're not in labour are you?!!! (they are one of on-call people for DD-sitting when/if I go into labour!). Said I'll have to stop calling her for the next 3 weeks!

Anyway, time to find some food to eat - already had supper, but got the munchies tonight!!

take care all

Chooster · 06/09/2007 22:12

Hi all,

Realy really hope your friends are going to be OK Bodkin and MrsMC. Its so difficult when things dont go well, I really feel for them having these worries.

Bodkin, we are also managing to get Theo into bed for about 9pm mpst nights... The little tinker has been sleeping most of today though so Gawd knows how tonight will be. He's in bed now but I have a sneaky suspicion he will want to play at 1am. I think DH will be called into action as he's not working tomorrow. Love the idea of your DD's brown eyes, I bet she is gorgeous Good move getting the new buggy!!! I love a new buggy . By the way MrsMc, I really really LOVE my i-candy cherry. Its dead light and a nice shopping basket. Theo looks very comfy in his pram.

Speaking of tomorrow, my mum is coming up for a visit as she is feeling much better and she has finished her anti-biotics. She can't wait to see the boys .

Really glad your DD likes her pre-school, it sounds like she's going to settle in no problem. Like the idea of everyone taking in snacks .

Aw, Greedy your Ds sounds adorable - each time you talk of him he just sounds such an angel. Lovely to hear they are are so close and I'm sure they'll just love little Marcy . The age gap is nothing!!

Good to hear from you again Seaside - Good luck with the scan. Let us know all the details tomorrow.

Honey, Hope your pains go and you are feeling good tomorrow.

Anytime, off to bed!

Bodkin · 06/09/2007 22:56

Oh your poor friend Mrs - that must be a horrendous thing to happen. I really hope this pregnancy works out for her.

Blast, Isla's off again - just as I thought I'd done it. She's started banging on the cot matress with her fist! - very impressive - I can hear her even if I turn the monitor off

Oh good, she's dropped off again.

Anyway where was I... Chooster - I saw your Icandy when I was in the shop today and covetted it a little bit, but it was a bit out of my price range, and was a bit too similar to the Buggerboo. Maybe i'll get on better with it when I've got the pushchair bit on, rather than the carrycot. Honestly I look like such a muppet pushing it, crahsing in to everything - you'd think I'd never steered a pram before!

Honeyapple - glad to hear your DD is settling into school well. Yup, my DD is a fruit fanatic as well - basically will hoover up any fruit put in front of her. Hope those pains are nothing sinister.

Fettle - you're coping so well with all your pregnancy niggles, but I bet you'll be glad when you get your body back! You'll be cartwheeling round your living room! Have you bought much blue stuff for the little fella yet?

Greedy - another vote for Marcy here. Wasn't there a little girl in the Peanuts cartoons called that. I'll find a picture, hang on...

Bodkin · 06/09/2007 22:58

Aah, yes, here she is...
a bit geeky maybe?

Bodkin · 06/09/2007 23:00

Chooster - just seen that you said your mum is on the mend and coming for a visit - that's great news

fettleandminifettle · 07/09/2007 08:17

Bodders - don't put Greedy off the name Marcy - just when I thought we'd sorted at least one of her worries and dilemmas!!! The Marcy at DD's school is so sweet - much more like Greedy's little one, I'm sure!!

Not bought any blue stuff yet - bought a very cute (horrifically expensive, but then we do get 10% off through Mumsnet!) green teddy jacket from Mini-Boden, which has just started doing baby clothes! So so adorable!!

Actually started packing my hospital bags this morning - one for labour and one for baby and afterwards, just like they say!!! Just need music, toiletries and snacks/drinks and we're ready to go. DD seemed quite relaxed about it all - I was concerned she thought I was going away today for a while - although judging by my sudden increase in energy yesterday evening (we rearranged the sitting-room 5 times, until DH refused to move the sofa 1 more time! And told me to stop nesting!!!), maybe the end is nearing - officially 37 weeks tomorrow!

I'm very impressed that both of you, Chooster and Bodkin are getting little ones to bed by 9pm - I think that's a result, if DD was anything to go by!! Oh, I hope this little one sleeps a bit more and isn't as sick, but it's finally dawning on me what we've done and what's about to happen and I'm getting a bit scared, is that normal?

Great news that your Mother's better, Chooster and she's going to see the boys - they must be so excited (well Max anyway!!).

anyway, must go brush teeth, do hair etc and get out of the house in time for school, then off up for my check-up.

Hope you all have good days.

take care

greedygreedyguzzler · 07/09/2007 09:55

ok i know the age gap between my new baby and dd1 wont be that big, its just much bigger than between my current two! there is only 17 months between ds and dd and there will be 2 yr 9mths between this baby and dd!

bodders - i agree with you on zara baby clothes.they are titchy tiny ( as dd would say)!!!! so are H & M baby clothes! so cute though, and a bit different to the norm!! is tony from skins the one who was in about a boy?...if he is then i like him too!!!!! but then i always like young boys!!!! or rugged men!!! imagine two at the same time................wow! a tony and a sawyer!!!!! MMMmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

had a nightmare trying to buy a carseat yesterday!........are you ready for my carseat saga????................first i had to wait 20 mins to get served.......................... then we had to get every single car seat out of mothercare to see which one would fit inbetween my other two carseats!.......only ONE fitted so i decided to buy that one (funnily enough!) ................then there were none in stock, so i was told i could order one.................then she told me it had been discontinued and i couldn't get one only buy the display model!...................so i was all set to buy that, but then they couldn't find the instructions and i thought i would really need them!...........anyway eventually they found the instructions and tried to scan it on the till but the till crashed.......................so we moved to another till and that one crashed.....................i had been about an hour by this point!!!!.........finally i managed to pay for it and then whe i was trying to take it out of the shop it set the alarms off!...............................................now, i am quite superstitious!!!!..........................do you think this carseat is doomed????? was it a sign that i shouldn't buy it? too late really cos there is no way i am taking it back now, but if i crash the car first time we use it then i will know it was a sign!!!

fettle - i drank gallons of raspberry leaf tea first time round and went 8 days over!!!! are you really putting music into your bag fettle? i have never had the chance to listen to any music during labour..nice idea though! really hope your check up is ok and your liver function test results are low. good luck!!!

OOOOOooo OOOOoooo OOOOoooo!!!!! i am still stuck on Marcy and you lot like it too !!!!! yippee!!!!!! (mind you, i reckon you lot are just saying you like it to shut me up!!!) asked dh again last night and he hesitated a bit.............drives me mad that man!!!!...why cant he just amke a decision hey????!!!!! (says me!!!)

chooster - so pleased your mum is on the mend

another story from me, sorry!!!!..............my DENSE builder asked me yesterday how long i had left and when i said 3 wks he said " have you felt the baby kick yet then?" DUR!!!!!! how dense can you get? i KNOW he is a man and they are stupid, but he has 4 kids of his own!!!!!! did he not talk to his wife when she was pg????!!!

Bodkin · 07/09/2007 10:55

No, I don't think the car seat is doomed... I think it's the opposite - you were lucky to get the last one left as it's been discontinued! All the other stuff is just Mothercare being crap! Was only joking about Marcy being geeky - I think it is a totally gorgeous and cool name... as you know, I actively LIKE geeky names (remember Dudley, Myrtle, Muriel....!)

Had a very strange Mumsnet dream last night... wait for it... I dreamt that you (Greedy) and Honeyapple were fakers - not really mums at all and were making it all up for a laugh!!!! How paranoid am I I was totally gutted in my dream. What a freak eh?!

Yes Tony was in About a Boy - when he was aobut 10 and not sexy at all. My other telly crush at the moment is one of the blokes off that weird Vet soap opera (can't think what it's called - it's got her off Corrie and her off Brookie in it) he's very dishy and is in a band... am I making any sense at all

Fettle - don't worry too much about the pre-baby panic about how you will cope etc. Once you're in it, you just do, and it's lovely and you have us to come and moan to when you have bad days... and loads of other support and knowledgeable people on here for any BF or health worries. If only I had known about MN with DD1 I think I would have enjoyed her babyhood a whole lot more

Got MIL staying for a few days, which is actually lovely - another pair of hands to pass the baby to while I do some chores!

fettleandminifettle · 07/09/2007 12:22

Bodders - no idea about sexy boy in Skins, but i know exactly who you mean in that Vet programme - yummy yum yum!!!! can't believe that she wanted to go back to her slightly wierd and not very attractive husband and leave dishy band bloke!!!!

Greedy - I agree with Bodders - you were very lucky to get the last one that fits between you're other two - imagine the poor lady behind you with 2 carseats in the back of her car and no seat left to fit in between them!!!

Mini-fet is moving well and heart is active and reactive - which is all good. Still feel a bit like I'm making it up, but I am itchy from time to time. They've taken a full set of blood tests, as they are getting more concerned about my BP, which is hovering around 110-120 over 80. At least urine is clear and any swelling I had while working has completely gone again, which is great - it is so lovely to have my ankles and feet back!!!

Must go and get DD in a sec - went and bought some blue 0-3 mth vests today from mothercare (after being reminded we hadn't bought any blue clothes yet! - poor thing has so far only got any unisex clothes DD had!!). We didn't get any 0-3 mth vests for DD and she was drowning in 3-6 mths for the first few weeks, so felt justified and excited buying them!!

Greeds - we had Classic FM on last time (have to remember I was in hospital from start to finish as I was induced) and it was relaxing listening to the music - DH was just sat in the corner doing the cryptic crossword from the newspaper, while I went through the contractions!!! We've still got that paper, which is a nice thing to have for DD when she's older - dread to think what the headlines say on it though.

Suppose DH and I ought to have a name talk tonight shouldn't we - check we still like our choice!!

Right - must grab some lunch - speak soon.
xxx

honeyapple · 07/09/2007 12:46

Yikes- Tony- are you sure Bodders? I'm getting slightly worried about you.... I'm afraid I cant get the image of him in About a boy out of my head.
Curses- my secret is out, yes I have been making all this baby malarky up as I am a seriously deranged 72 yr old who never had any children of my own... Thinking of popping off to Italy to see that fertility man who specialises in old birds...

Greedy- I hadnt even thought about whether another car seat will fit in the back of my car... have to get a maxicosi cabrio whatsit to fit my new buggy anyway. Might end up having it in the front seat (with airbag turned off before you all go ).

Fettle- I thought I was good not buying any newborn sizes this time around! 3-6 mth on a wee baby, she must have looked VERY swamped!

Bedroom painting is calling.... bye for now xx

MrsMcJnr · 07/09/2007 18:06

Hey ladies been busy and haven?t managed to get on before now. Hope you are all well was a bit naughty today BF came round for a couple of hours this morning with her baby it was fun ? he screamed when I tried to hold him though then my neighbour came round for a cup of tea and to use the washing machine this afternoon so not recorded enough work time and will have to catch up but it?s been fun! BF remembered from years ago that I liked Xavier as a name and asked if we?d use it, I just blushed and she clearly hates it so I guess I have given the game away if Beanie is blue (she thinks he is!) do you think my scan photos look male?!

Hey Honeyapple hope school has started well. I?m with DD on the pineapple and mangoes ? yummy! giggled when you asked the ?post-partum? ladies about sex ? guess they are all past the 6 week mark now or nearly anyway! I?m with you about ?the? boy I have to say ? doesn?t do anything for me.

Hello Fettle was thinking about you today at your appointment and sending good vibes. Hey I have that teddy jacket!!! This one? www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Baby&styid=71001&segid=2&gpname=Jersey+Tops&desname=Teddy+Button+Thr ough&gpid=27&gen=3#img
I got it last week (with discount) that was the first thing I bought it?s so gorgeous and soft isn?t it? I?m a sucker for Boden ? it is a bit worrying that they now do mini stuff too now, could get very expensive, DH and I live in their stuff, especially the pull ons ? quite a relief that they don?t do mat wear!! Exciting about you packing your bags I am saving Clarins miniatures for mine!

Hi Chooster must have a good look at your buggy when I see you if you bring it that is! DH has agreed to a Sat of shopping in Glasgow next weekend he needs a new suit and I need to get re-measured at Bravissimo for a bra and have heard M&P at The Fort have a great range of stuff. So glad your Mum is doing well and visiting you

Bodkin ? re my friend, I know, it was awful; she is so brave to go through it all again. PMSL at the Buggerboo! what a dream you had!!

Hey Greedy can?t agree with you on the young boy I?m afraid but you made me salivate thinking of Sawyer LOL at your car seat story, you must have been really cross by the end but it does sound like it was meant to be yours!

Have a lovely weekend ladies

Hi Mrs

It is that jacket - did you go for Green or Brown? glad I got it when I did, with that waiting list on it now!!!! i know I was a bit shocked they'd started doing baby-stuff that will be all 4 of us dressed in Boden now!!!. My sister and I met at my work one evening as she was returing our car she'd borrowed and we were wearing identical skirts and jackets!!! - we look similar enough without resorting to wearing the same clothes!!. But their trousers fit DD really well, as they are adjustable at the waist, so can get them long enough, without them falling down as soon she tries to walk!!

Anyway, enough of clothes - I don't fit into them at the moment - although I have lost a couple of lbs recently and I'm convinced my hips are actually smaller than they were at the start of this pregnancy, so it will be interesting to see what fits once the bump has subsided!!

Had the most awful tantrum from hell with DD with afternoon - I have never ever seen her like that - pretty frightening. Then she had the most amazing wee accident on the way to the loo, as she'd been fighting going all afternoon - think I'm going to have my work cut out with her over the next couple of weeks. But at least she's going to sleep better now! She says she's scared about the baby coming - but I'm not sure in what way exactly - so lots of reassuring, she'll still be Mummy and daddys big girl on the way I think!!

hope everyone has a good weekend - DH is about to lay down some Rugby World Cup rules!!!. Do you think one of them will be no contractions/labour allowed during England matches!!!.

take care all

Hi everyone

Just back from scan and all is good/normal - it was so speedy compared to our 12 week (which we paid for at FMC) and the pics are rubbish! But everything is in the right place and it is def a blue one! I caught a glimpse as the sonographer was showed me his spine from the bottom/between legs - a full on flash! But then she went back and confirmed it later.

He was moving around all over the place and spun from side to side whenver she pressed on him! He also did some wacky hand movements - in ears, over face, clasped together and did a whole load of what she described as bicycle kicks!! Hysterical - the sonographer and her assistant (in training) were laughing loads - but then I was their last scan of the day! Apparently also my palcenta is in the front which I think could explain why I am not feling as many kicks etc - cos he is certainly going at it in there!!

I have a confession - I had actually booked another scan back at FMC for Monday as we are up in London again and initially I booked it as a back up in case there was anything wrong as I know they would give a fuller explanantion etc. I said I would cancel if all was OK but now I still want to go as I have so many questions and would love some more individual/personalised info and explanantion of all the results. I know it is indulgent but I guess you are allowed to be with #1 ??!

We stopped at M&S on the way home and DH and I strayed into the babywear - Of course I am looking at all the lovely clothes and DH picks up the nylon spiderman outfit!! gotta love the man's practicality !!

MrsMc - love that teddy jacket - maybe that can become a TTC grads trademark! I have bought nothing yet!! Better get cracking and make my spreadsheet! I def did think of you when we were in Dundee - only wish we had had time to stop off in Edinburgh next time!

fettle- So sorry to hear of itching scare but glad to hear minifet is all OK. Whoopee - you are finally on mat leave and hopefuly getting a bit of R&R Sorry to hear about DD's wee accident and tantrum Thanks for posting on the temp buds grad - I owe Ready a big post or email. I just want Ready and Rah to get the BFPs so much - they so deserve them - and to be on here asap. It does not feel complete without them

Bodkin - that was a very strange dream???? I am not getting the Skins crush I am afraid - Sawyer- maybe!!!(actually he looks like my first serious boyfriend ) Glad you have some helping MIL hands for the next few days So sorry to hear about your friend - has the fluid actualy been leaking?? A friend of mine's waters broke at 25 weeks and she was put on bed rest as they hoped the fluids would regenerate (very possible apparently) but unfortunately they did not - sorry I know that is not the ending you want to hear. How is DD BTW??

greedy - arghhh - poor you with the carseat nightmare BTW I like Marcy very much (and Maisie and Maude too!) - could be shortened to Cece maybe too??) Cece and Kiki - how cute!!

honeyapple - Well done on the pineapple!! But yes - catering exotic frut for 30 could become a bit costly!! Hope the cramps are easing - I get the odd one or two nearly every week - always a bit scary.

Chooster - Such good news to hear your Mum is better and coming for a visit Might need more info on that buggy - I am totally confused about buggies - all I know is that I def want one with a carrycot option?? Had never even heard of Icandy??

firststar - so sorry to hear about infection - ouchh - as if you haven't enough to deal with! Hope the DSD's are calming down - hopefully the novelty will wear off soon! Just think in a few years you will have guaranteed babysitters though! Are you moving far? (maybe I have missed that info?)

Iampg - Renovations sound exciting!! IKWYM about bump /flat bit - mine is a bit wonky when I lie down too! I think you are away but waves anyway Hope you are having a fab time

Babymad, KitKat et al - Hello - hope you are all well

Right better go - am starving!! I am offline next week but will try and check in on you all. Seem to be constantly packing and unpacking bags at the moment - grrr - Just want to be home for a while - but hey ho - Will have to be in a few months so may as well make the most of nomadic lifestyle while we can!!

Ooooh I love that teddy jacket! I may have to get that for Theo as it gets a bit cooler. I've got the boden catalogue in my bedroom but must have missed that. I'm going to have to take another look. I love their t-shirts for boys - DS1 has a few of them with camper vans on! He still absolutely loves them .

So pleased about your scan Seaside - its such good news and I can totally understand you indulgence with your other scan. Why not eh!!? Its such an amazing experience, especially when its your first - you go for it!! . I know the whole buggy thing can be a bit of a nightmare. I researched for ages before I chose my i-candy, I'd never heard of it either. Anyway, I was looking for one that was light, had one handle so it could be pushed with one hand (important when you have another LO), had a carry cot and the pushchair bit could face towards you and away from you - OOh, and a shoping basket. Anyway, the i-candy cherry was about the only one I could find. It is a wee bit pricey though, but worth it .

MrsMc - I LOVE Xavier if thats any consolation! I'm getting a 'blue' vibe from you too - I'll hopefully see you on monday to get more insight .

Oooh, Greeds, I reckon you were meant to have that car seat. Everything was conspiring against you but still you got it. It was meant to be . Stick with Marcy - its fab!!! Dont watch skins so can't commment but I do rememeber the boy from 'about a boy' .

Fettle, Sorry to hear about the tantrum but great that DD is able to tell you she is feeling scared as opposed to just keeping it all inside. Hopefully that bodes well for when baby blue fett is here, at least then you can talk to her about why she may be upset. With her looking so grown up it must be hard to remember she is really still only very young.

Honey - hope the paiting is going well. I can't believe how many of you are decorating / moving!! Have you decided on the amby yet?

Thanks for your good wishes about my mum. The visit was great today, they both had a great time seeing my boys. Max was in top form and we took his bike down to the sea front where we bumped into about 5 of his nursery friends all on bikes so they had a ball!!! Mum loved seeing him running around really happy. And after having a sleepy day yesterday, Theo was awake most of today so mum saw lots of smiles . All in all a great day. And to top it all my mum and dad brought an anniversary present that DH had had delivered to their house. It was our 3rd wedding anniversary on Tuesday and my parents were meant to be visiting that day but mum was too ill - so thats why it was a little late. Anyway, on our wedding day I was so busy chatting to people that I never had any of my wedding cake. It was a fab chocolate cake with white chocolate shavings all over it!. It was beautiful but I didn't know what it tasted like.... until today!!! DH ordered the top tier of the same cake for our anniversary so I could finally have some . How romantic!!!! Nothing says I love you like chocolate cake eh!!!! Anyway, he's off out with some friends tonight and I've eaten too much of it so now feel sick... Bllluuuurrrghhhh. But it was a lovely gift. He's a sweetheart. Oh, and on the sex front, yes we have dabbled, but not for a couple of weeks now, am too knackered!!!! Am not on the pill yet either but DH is talking about a vasectomy . Either way we have no intention of another LO so something needs to happen.

Bed for me (alone!!! A drunk DH will be packed off to the spare room - lucky bastard!!! )
