I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!

Chooster on Thu 24-May-07 15:08:03
Oh, predictions!!!!
For me, I reckon boy (guess that's in the bag), 23rd July, 8lbs 2oz

MrsMcJnr on Thu 24-May-07 15:22:29

KitKat30 on Thu 24-May-07 15:26:29

firststar on Thu 24-May-07 15:47:32
Hi ladies
first of all let me get business out of the way....predictions...for me a boy 7lb 2oz (going against all my big baby comments) 22nd July (early I think) , upping the weight prediction of mine to 8lb 6oz.

predictions - arghh - I have no idea - if we get there I am sure I will be late - 24 January is my prediction

honeyapple on Fri 25-May-07 08:29:20

Hi,

Not really had a chance to catch up as DH wants to watch a film and is waiting for me , but have managed to pop a photo on - its a bit grainy but am just trying it out. I'll do another one later or tomorrow.

Hi to everyone - hope you are all doing well x

fettleandminifettle · 28/07/2007 21:10

aw cute boys, chooster!!! you must be so proud.

Enjoy your film.

My DH is working, albeit on the sofa next to me, but I'm bored. i've even finished the new harry potter and so have been surfing the internet all evening. Bought a microwave, some navy school tops for DD, and nearly booked a holiday as I so desperately want some proper summer weather, but then we can't really fit that into our busy schedule ahead of moving, new school and baby!!

Also treated myself to a pretty and hopefully practical new changing bag! Our last one was grey and black and very practical - just wanted to do some me retail therapy and I can't buy pretty clothes at the moment!

hope everyone else is doing well.

take care

Chooster · 28/07/2007 22:38

Am back - A friend of DH's has popped round so they are chatting downstairs and I have skulked away back to MN .

So, I'm all caught up! I'd love to do what you do Seaside - my DH and I love watching all the property ladder programmes - some people just dont have a clue do they . I'm sure your latest project will go well and they'll both be snapped up in no time . We've still got a couple of flats in London that we rent out which will some day be our path to mortgage free living - can't wait

Sorry you are feeling down Ready but good to hear you are putting yourself first and taking an 'MN' break. Fingers crossed all your test results are good.

So sorry for Goingfor3 - thats really tough for her. So sad that things can happen like that

I guess 6 weeks isn't so bad Greedy - how mcuh of that time will be at your mums? Damn her for ironing those kids clothes, they'll be getting ideas now and expecting you to do the same

Hey Bodkin - a whole extra pound - that great - well done Isla!! Theo is stocking up on milk too so I reckon he'll have piled it on. He's out of his newborn stuff (up to 10lbs) but only because he's quite long - 56cm when born. I'll put a better pic of him up soon.

Fingers crossed for Babymad and Firsty - I think of you both every day, but I'll also set my expectations that it wont be imminent so I dont keep asking if there's any news on here. I remember those phone calls from DH when DS1 was born "Any news yet?" "Do you think it will be today?" etc.... Grrrrrrrrrr. DS1 was 4 days late so you can imagine how bad it had got! At least Theo was 9 days early so took us all a little by surprise.

Anyway better be off... Theo is due another feed at 1am and I'll see if I can get some sleep before then.

x

Oooh, fingers crossed Firsty - Hope its coming soon for you.

greedygreedyguzzler · 29/07/2007 20:46

i hope its all happening for you firsty, i really do. you sounded pissed off with me in your last post.....i was only joking about my mum really, she is a superstar and i love her to bits....she just drives me up the wall a bit when i spend too much time with her! and the only reason i was a bit annoyed with the builders is cos the last thing i knew when i spoke to them they were 3 weeks behind schedule nd now they suddenly seem to be 6 weeks behind schedule..................i'm not REALLY a moany, ungrateful cow....honest!

anyway, fingers crossed you are in labour now puffing and panting!

greedygreedyguzzler · 29/07/2007 20:48

i LOVE your pic chooster! they are both so cute!!!!...............still cant quite believe you and bodders have got your little ones already!!!

fettleandminifettle · 29/07/2007 21:09

Firsty - hope this is it! Thinking of you.

Greedy - I don't think you're ungrateful cow, I totally understand the darling Mum dilemma. I love mine to bits, but she always does more exciting things with DD, which she then expects AND lets her do things, which we don't allow, so you get the but "xxx let's me!!" arguement. Anyway, my Mum has just arrived to stay until Saturday, as DH is off with work tomorrow morning at 5am - back very early Thursday morning, so only really 2 nights without him, but still nice to have some company and help with DD. She's already in the kitchen washing up and loading the dishwasher, so i really can't complain and hate myself when I find myself getting a bit annoyed with her. I'd hate to think that my DD will be like this with me someday - I'm going to try really hard this week! And I'm going to broach the subject of her not staying for the whole of August.

Anyway, need to go help DH pack.

hope everyone is well and happy and had good weekends?

take care

morning ladies

havnt been on here for a few days.

hope everyone is well and you had a lovely weekend as the weather was soooo much betterhere!!

firsty and babymad - your babies will come soon!! lol at your dhs not wanting to go to work - they certainly have their priorities right dont they!!

chooseter - sorry to hearabout your mum i hope she recovers soon so she can see her adorable grandson and give him a hug!!

i have been quite peed off the last few days with dp - we have had a few ups and downs lately and 2 BAD arguments where i actually packed my bags. since me getting pg he has turned into such a lad!! and im getting very VERY i dont know whether the hormones are exxagerating everything but for example he looks up porn regularly with the word he searches being "clit" last few days i thought he hadnt been doing it but realised this morning he has been signing onto another screen name to browse it obviously thinking i wouldnt find out. he has had sooo many lads nights out leaving me stuck in, and then yesterday his mate was showing him dirty pics on his phone of one of his "buddies" and dp was commenting and i am actually just about to explode i really do feel like just leaving. if i mention any of it to him im paranoid, checking up on him, etc so im better off keeping shut BUT I CANNT!!! aaarrrggggghhhhh

sorry for that x

iampgatlast · 30/07/2007 11:31

oh and i forgot to mention - we went out last saturday with friends to a club and me and dp stood at the side when one girl came up and stood next to him so he started chatting to her next thing i know she is trying to do sexy dancing for him!!!! then about an hour later this skinny little stick insect stood next to him and he started chatting to her smiling and obviously flirting then she did a twirl for him but he didntsay what he had said to her.

the next day i confronted him and he said theres no harm in it just being friendly but i see it as if he would do that when im standing therre then what the hell does he get up to when im not there?!

am i being silly?

BabyMadandBIGbump · 30/07/2007 11:31

Firsty I've had AF pains on and off, odd twinges and tightening too, but like you said nothing to get excited about, when I told DH what a "show" is he got excited bless, oh well he's at work now, might get some peace. I had a "curry mix" from the chip shop that was the best thing on earth (easily pleased you see) and the next day I had that "show" maybe it was due to that, we'll never know! Well this is the time line I had DS#1 like I said before we'll see what this day brings!

back soon!

forststar - i knew he used to look up weird and wacky videos but i dont think he realised how easily accessable the net was to porn so he has now moved onto that.
he was actually making conversation with the girls not the other way round, i said to him you shouldnt do that especially when im standing there what kind of message does that put out - he said just being friendly soi said well look at the 5 couples that we are out with tonight you dont see any of their dps chatting to other women infact they were totally into their other halves where as me and him were stood seperately no contact. we dont hardly ever go out together.

iampgatlast · 30/07/2007 11:44

since ive been pg its been more downers thatn ups and i really am wondering what i have done - i want this baby so much but as part of a happy family with a mummy and daddy who loves and respects each other.

friends didnt see what was going on as everyone had gone their seperate ways by the time this happened.

i wont say anything for the time being as i said he just turns it round on me being paranoid bla bla but i just dont think his behaviour is acceptable or respectful towards me. its just bloody typical he decides to show his true colours now. its like he is sticking two fingers up saying ha you can stay at home while i go out and be free and single.

i have spoken to a few close friends and they think it is because he is facing a massive comitment ahead and he is in denial

Hey ladies how are you all? Sorry I haven?t posted today, had nasty migraine so stayed at home, away from the PC as much as I could.

Hello Babymad still hanging in there?

Hey Seaside ? I know exactly what you mean about finding the balance between cautious and excited. DH decided that it would be far less stressful for us if he called his relatives before his parents nagged us again on Sat to tell them about the baby, that way they would know and I wouldn?t have to suffer a big announcement in front of lots of people. So he did that but I couldn?t avoid picking up the ?phone a couple of times and that made me wobble. We then went to a party at SILs and she had told all her friends and when they came in it was all ?Congrats? at the top of their voices etc ? another wobble! Oh well!!

Hey Firsty ? you ok? Are you a hired assassin when not on mat leave?

Always thinking of you and sending good vibes Ready x

Greedy ? did you get my email?! It didn?t say you couldn?t get it.

Fettle hello!

Chooster ? good pic but they are both much more gorgeous in real life ? Everyone ? are you jealous? I have actually cuddled Theo!!! You should be, he?s scrumptious!

Iampg ? like your new name! sounds to me like the hormones are doing their worst at the mo hon, couple of weeks ago, DH and I had loads of rows. I seem to have mellowed a bit again. Did the porn thing upset you before pregnancy or just since? Reason I ask is that I personally am really laid back about that kind of thing but have lots of friends who are not. On the other hand, flirting in front of me, red rag to a bull, I am insanely jealous but so is DH so at least we understand each other on that score. Remember your family dinner and how excited you and DH felt about the baby? Maybe you just don?t want to be out in clubs at the mo and are feeling more sensitive too? Not that that means you are in the wrong. Sending huge hugs xx

fettleandminifettle · 30/07/2007 19:36

Hi girls

Iampgatlast (great new name!). Sorry to hear about your probs with DP - would echo what the others have said, your hormones play havoc with you and DH and I have argued more this pg than ever before, but over ridiculously silly things. I'm with you, I don't think you're being unreasonable - chatting up girls even if you weren't there, should be done, but with you standing next to him, is awful. All I would say is, don't let this eat away at you, as that is far more unhealthy than getting it out in the open. The earlier you approach the subject, the better. he may well be finding the adjustment to you finally be pg very scary too - many men find the whole idea terrifying - TTC is ok for them, they have all the fun, and none of the stress, but now you are really there, it will be slowly sinking in the responsibility of it all and this might be his way of reacting to this. Approach the subject as gently as you can and say that you are very nervous about it all and I could really do with his support while your hormones are so shaky and take it from there. I really hope it sorts itself out, you should be enjoying your pg, not worrying about these things. Take care, HTH, xxx

Firsty, Babymad - hope your patience is holding out. Sound as if you've both tried absolutely everything going that possibly starts labour! can I ask a naive question, what exactly is a "sweep" and what do they do exactly? Just need to educate myself!! I hope you're both managing to enjoy this weather and it is not too warm for you, just nice sunshine for a change.

Mrs, i'm really jealous of your cuddles with theo - he looks gorgeous. Really coming round to the idea of little boy now - maybe because my little one is moving so much at the moment. Very active at times - wondering if he's got enough room in there, as he seems pretty squashed. sorry about your migraine - did you get them a lot when not pg, as you seem to get many of them when pg. I'm lucky, don't often get headaches, but DH gets migraines and really suffers with them, so I can sympathize.

greedy - how you doing? Get yourself catted up! Our builder is due to starting at the end of this week, so we'll see - we move in a week on Friday, so we don't have a leeway whatsoever!!

Kitkat - how you doing? Must be nearly finished work now. Hope the last few weeks haven't been too bad - not long for you to go now is there?

bodders - how is isla doing? Showing a tendency of isla the smiler or isla the grizzler?!!

Hello everyone else - have to go supervise DD's bedtime - although I think we could have managed thismorning without her, this evening, I'm so utterly shattered, I need her extra energy to control bedtime, but she'll read 15 stories, if DD gets her way!!!

take care all
xxx

fettleandminifettle · 30/07/2007 19:37

Iampgatlast - that should read "chatting up women without you there, should NOT be done!"" oops!!
