So, I need some help / positivity, according to my last menstrual bleed (15th Jan was my first day), I'm apparently 11 weeks, but I paid for a private scan on Saturday and after much searching (the gestational sac looked empty at first, she had to press hard and up) she seen a yolk sac but foetus was positioned difficulty. The sonographer said that it looks like I'm around 6 weeks pregnant not 10, and that it is showing a pregnancy is happening and they'd like to check again in 1 week. Could she actually be right? Or could this be a silent miscarriage? I've had no bleeding, my nausea has settled the past few days but my breasts are still tender. I've got my nhs scan due then on April 11th as well. Can my dates be that much off or does it sound like the yolk sac and foetus stopped early on?
She did say dates are wrong all the time, but I'm just thinking the worst

@VenusStarr I was there for 12 hours, it was painful to say the least. I have to go back in 3 weeks to see if it's all gone x

Hope you're getting lots of rest @Help1983uk xx

Help1983uk · 02/07/2019 13:01

Hey @VenusStarr how have things worked out for you? Meds didn't work for me, went back 3 weeks later, had a 12 hour course of intensive meds which still didn't work so ended up having to have the d and c

Hi @Help1983uk. I am so sorry to hear your experience 💜 how are you now?

I'm not bad, thanks for asking. I'm on my 3rd cycle since the miscarriage (I've got short cycles). This is the first time I've felt optimistic. I'm having counselling. I recently had an hsg as part of my fertility clinic tests.

Are you ttc again? Xx

Help1983uk · 02/07/2019 18:17

I'm doing okay thanks Venus.

So I bled 2 weeks after the d and c and thought I'd wait until my first proper period which was a month after, but my ovulation is def all over the place, it landed on day 22 so this cycle might be a 35/36 day one. But yeah I'm currently trying again, I'm on 3dpo.

I'm glad you're feeling positive Smile

What is HSG?

Sending lots of positive vibes your way xxx

Glad you're doing better now. We're about the same dpo! @Help1983uk I'm due af between 10-12 July.

I've definitely become more aware of my body. I was quite obsessed on my first proper cycle after the mc.

The hsg is the dye test to look at your tubes, one is fine the other they weren't sure but it was so painful they stopped. Not seeing the consultant until September so really hoping we are successful again soon.

I'm sending you positive vibes back 😊 🤞 xxx

Help1983uk · 02/07/2019 20:12

Definately fingers crossed for the both of us @VenusStarr

It would be lovely news for us both to have bfps next week as we were going through such a rough patch before at the same time.

Yeah I've totally become obsessed - I've got 3 apps downloaded tracking fertility, temping and using opk's lol.

Well you only need one tube right? - I've got a good feeling.

You'll have to let me know how you get on next week xxx

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 03/07/2019 14:41

It would be amazing for us both to get some happy news next week @Help1983uk please let me know.

I feel like I'm setting myself up for a fall because I feel optimistic but then I'm also enjoying the feeling. It's been a long time since I felt any hope.

🤞 🤞 🤞 For us both! Xxx

Hi ladies, so sorry to hear the recasting news.
similar thing happened to me and my partner. We found out we were pregnant on 23rd December 2018 then MC on jan 7th. Waited until my first period to try again. Fell PG again in May and decided we would go for a private scan (I had worked out I was 6 weeks +2 however nothing was seen and was referred to the EPU was told I was only 4 weeks 5 days and that it was just to early to detect. unfortunately MC 5 days ago. Went back to work in Monday as I feel it is best to keep busy. Stopped bleeding now and hoping to start trying again this weekend as my partner has booked us a nice spa weekend.

Lindsay93 · 04/07/2019 00:22

Sorry devastating**

VenusStarr · 04/07/2019 06:59

Hi @Lindsay93 I'm really sorry to hear of your loss Flowers look after yourself. I'm only just starting to feel like myself again. A weekend away with your partner sounds like a great idea. Dh and I went away a few weeks ago and I think that helped me heal. Best wishes x

Help1983uk · 04/07/2019 08:14

Aw sorry to hear that @Lindsay93.
I agree with @VenusStarr about a holiday, I went abroad for 2 wks, 3 wks after my d & c and it was the best thing for healing! I came back refreshed a few weeks ago x

Lindsay93 · 04/07/2019 08:38

@VenusStarr yeah I think it’s a great idea also. I can’t wait just to get a away and zone out from everything. Unfortunately I don’t have any holidays left from work to go abroad as I was away at the beginning of the year. I wish you both all the best and hopefully we all have a little bundle of joy in our arms soon. Keep in touch xxx

VenusStarr · 11/07/2019 08:51

Hi @Help1983uk and @Lindsay93 how are you both getting on?

Thought af was coming yesterday but no sign as yet. With my first pregnancy I didn't have any cramps or symptoms at all. I'm convinced af is going to come soon. I'm wondering if I ovulated later this cycle.

Hope you're both OK xx

Help1983uk · 11/07/2019 11:05

Hi @VenusStarr, ooo sounds promising! I'll have my fingers crossed for you!
Well AF is due Saturday, I'm definitely getting cramps so I feel it's on its way unfortunatley. I've done some early pregnancy tests which have come back negative so I think I'm out this month. I'm off on a long weekend girls holiday this weekend so atleast I can have a few drinks!

You'll have to keep me posted on what happens with you. Have you had any cramps at all? Have you done a test? Xx

@Help1983uk@VenusStarr
Getting on ok at this end. Last appointment was on Friday at EPU and I was told to take a PT in two weeks to ensure my levels were back to normal. chanced my luck and took one yesterday and got a negative. So operation baby is back in motion. However no AF signs for me as of yet. How long after did you guys get back to normal?? X

Help1983uk · 11/07/2019 13:33

@Lindsay93 After my ERPC my test showed negative 1 week later. And 4 weeks 1 day after the op my AF happened slightly heavier than usual but not terrible.
But my second one is currently a week later (I think), I'm going by my ovulation sticks, so ovulated a week later than norm, and my AF tends to be 14 days after.
But since everything has happened I can feel ovulation and twinges so much more, it's strange. Have you found that at all yet? Xx

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 11/07/2019 14:07

That's positive news that you're able to try again @Lindsay93 my period returned to normal straight away. My cycle is usually 25 days and my first one came after 27 days. My first one was very heavy and clotty though. I had to take a day off as my blood pressure was really high. Thankfully all OK now.

I've had 3 since my mmc, all around my usual timings. Last month I had a hsg (dye in tubes test) as am under the hospital infertility pathway because it took so long to conceive. I definitely ovulated as normal but period arrived 3 days early.

I'm cd25 now, so technically expecting af tomorrow. I did a frer and it was negative but my eyes were catching something, but more likely a shadow than an actual faint line, wishful thinking 🤞

Have a great weekend @Help1983uk, you might have a nice surprise though 😊 keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞 with my last pregnancy I had no symptoms at all but I really felt like my period was coming yesterday so it's making me think it's just af. Xx

Lindsay93 · 11/07/2019 17:52

@VenusStarr @Help1983uk

After my first MC I was 32 days and normally my cycle was 28.. the 3 periods I had after that were all 32 days. So I think I may have another few weeks yet. Been having a few cramps though so fingers crossed they come sooner than later.

Having a weekend away might help you relax.
Regarding the ovulation kits did you think they helped? Myself and my partner used these last time and we found them to not be very helpful.

VenusStarr · 12/07/2019 16:54

I'm out 😔 I don't feel too bad but physically struggling as my periods seem to be much heavier and more painful now.

Hope you have a good break @Help1983uk

@Lindsay93 I only track my cervical mucus, I did use opks and measure bbt for a couple of months but it stressed me out so stopped. My cycles are pretty regular so I know roughly when I ovulate. Hope you have some good news soon x

Help1983uk · 01/08/2019 20:55

Hi @VenusStarr and @Lindsay93 how are you both?
Well I definitely wasn't lucky last cycle, which meant I got to party hard on holiday lol.
I'm on 1dpo of my next cycle at the moment, so the countdown is on once again.
Opks have 100% taken the fun out of this though! Hopefully we've dtd on the right days.

Any news with you guys? Xxx

OP posts:
Lindsay93 · 01/08/2019 22:27

@VenusStarr@Help1983uk AF came for me on the 25th for me first time since MC. Countdown is on for me till next month so I can work out my cycle. Just going with the flow and fingers crossed something happens soon.

Hope you are both well xx

Help1983uk · 02/08/2019 23:06

@Lindsay93 That's positive about AF, shows that your body is getting back to normal.
I'm still working my days out, my ovulation appears to be 5 days earlier this cycle, but I'm hoping I caught.
Are you temping? Xx

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 04/08/2019 07:35

Hi both

Fingers crossed for you this cycle @Help1983uk 🤞

Hope your cycle regulates soon @Lindsay93 :)

I do have some happy news, although it very early days. We decided to throw everything at this cycle as I was due to have the hysteroscopy on 15 August. We did smep and I was temping as well. Turns out I ovulated on cd10. Got a faint positive at 11dpo and much stronger one this morning at 14dpo.

I'm excited but also really scared, especially as we've found out super early but really hoping all will be OK.

Please keep in touch and let me know how your guys are getting on xx ❤️

Lindsay93 · 04/08/2019 15:08

That is brilliant news!!! Smile fingers and toes crossed everything goes well for you this time round. I done a ovulation kit yesterday and said I was at my ‘peak’ didn’t start using them till 3 months after first MC just was pushing my arm this time round. Fingers crossed it goes in our favour. Definitely keep in touch and let us know how you get on ❤️ Xx
