So, I need some help / positivity, according to my last menstrual bleed (15th Jan was my first day), I'm apparently 11 weeks, but I paid for a private scan on Saturday and after much searching (the gestational sac looked empty at first, she had to press hard and up) she seen a yolk sac but foetus was positioned difficulty. The sonographer said that it looks like I'm around 6 weeks pregnant not 10, and that it is showing a pregnancy is happening and they'd like to check again in 1 week. Could she actually be right? Or could this be a silent miscarriage? I've had no bleeding, my nausea has settled the past few days but my breasts are still tender. I've got my nhs scan due then on April 11th as well. Can my dates be that much off or does it sound like the yolk sac and foetus stopped early on?
She did say dates are wrong all the time, but I'm just thinking the worst

I'm really sorry to hear that @Help1983uk ❤️ you're eligible for recurrent testing, so if you are worried about blood clotting they can test for that alongside other tests.
I'm back in 3 months to have more bloods to compare to my first set from last week. I've found my GP doesn't want to get involved with the miscarriage or fertility side of things as I'd asked about aspirin after my first and the GP advised he to talk it through with my consultant. Hope yours is more proactive xx

Sorry you ended up in hospital @Lindsay93 but sounds like you needed to be there. Hope things settle down for you xx

Hi @VenusStarr so the GP said she thinks I have sticky blood, I have to have another blood test done - was meant to go a couple of days ago but I've been under the weather so I'll go tomorrow morning as I'll no longer be on paractemol (avoid getting any false results). So she told me to start taking baby asprin everyday, which she hopes will lower the platelet count. I've been put on the specialist list, but she couldn't tell me the wait, I think it'll be a while. Hopefully the asprin will sort this before hand.
How have you been doing? Xxx

@Lindsay93 I'm glad you're doing better, how many weeks are you now? Xx

Glad your GP is investigating @Help1983uk. I'm feeling totally deflated, my follow up rmc appointment is late February. Turns out they won't do more bloods unless something shows up on the ones last week.
Dh and I discussed and I'll take aspirin next time. We're not ttc until after my operation anyway. Just feel stuck. X

@VenusStarr @Help1983uk how’s things with you both? Are you both any further forward? Xx

Help1983uk · 17/11/2019 22:18

Hi @Lindsay93 I've had a letter saying I'm on the gyno waiting list, so who knows how long that could be. Docs are doing thorough blood tests though in the meantime.
So I've had a faint positive again today, 3 month in a row, so I'm hoping this sticks. My boobs are definitely hurting more than the last 2 months when I had the chemicals, so fingers crossed that's a good sign. I'm hoping just taking baby asprin has done the trick as I read it also thickens the lining.
How are things with you?

@Help1983uk brill news!! My fingers and toes are crossed for you. It was third time lucky for me too & I'm 18 weeks on wed. Only downside is I’ve been for so many private scans as I am so paranoid still. Good sign your boobs hurt also. Keep us updated. Xx

@Help1983uk @VenusStarr hi ladies, long time no speak. Thought I would check in with you both. How’s things? Xx

VenusStarr · 16/05/2020 10:43

Hi @Lindsay93 I'm not great. Had another loss in February then the world shut down while I was having private tests, so still stuck with no answers. We decided to start ttc again last cycle, so am back on that roller-coaster. Struggling to feel hope, 2.5 years, 3 losses and 37 in a few months.

I hope you're doing well xx

Help1983uk · 10/07/2020 23:03

Hi @lindsay93, I didn't get a notification about your message, hence the delayed responce. So after my missed miscarriage last year plus a number of chemicals, I finally got a sticky one Boxing Day.
I'm currently 31 weeks and 4 days pregnant, but I'm getting induced at 39 weeks as my little boy has mild CDH, whereby his stomach is above his diaphragm in his left chest, instead of just below. Nothings straight forward with me, but I'm trying to remain positive.

How are things with you? I'm guessing you've given birth? Xxx

@VenusStarr sorry to hear your news. The thing which finally worked for me was taking antihistimes for 5 days after implantation which made the him stick. It could've been pure coincidence, but I'll go with it.
Hope you're okay? Xxx

@Help1983uk brill news you are pregnant and you will have your little boy in your arms soon.
Oh no, will he need to get an operation to sort that? Will be have much trouble due to this?
Yes I gave birth on 09.04 to a little boy he was three weeks early weighing a very small 5lb 9.5oz. Xxx

@VenusStarr I am so sorry to hear that. Are you any further forward now? Xxx
